The security of its own military bases, scattered throughout the entire planet, has been worrying the US military and political leadership for many years now, especially since an attack on them does not entail the retaliatory application of the article on collective defense “one for all — all for one”. In recent years, Washington has been greatly concerned about the security of its occupation contingents in the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region in view of China’s expansion of its zone of influence and possible military operations to return Taiwan to its “home harbour”.
In the Middle East, especially Iraq and Syria, US positions are so shaky and poorly motivated legally, and the number of Washington’s enemies greatly exceeds the global average, which forces the “hegemon” authorities to take measures to strengthen them.
So, over the past couple of years, to the eastern part of Syria, where American interventionists, with the participation of Kurdish “proxies,” control the Al-Omar oil field under the guise of “fighting terrorism”, inspectors from the US intelligence services regularly visit, and the transfer of armored vehicles, weapons and even the latest THOR air defense systems that emit microwaves has been noted.
However, as practice has shown, American bases have a weak air defense system, which does not allow guaranteed cover for the US contingent. According to the most conservative estimates, pro-Iranian “proxies” have recently successfully attacked American bases in Syria and Iraq with missiles and drones at least 20 times. Ever-eager American experts are asking a difficult question: What if US bases in the region are attacked not by drones assembled in barns, but by serious and modern Russian weapons, issued, so to speak, as a response to attacks deep into Russia?
Or will Moscow remember the Soviet experience and begin to support national liberation movements in regions of the planet that are sensitive to American domination? Macron, for example, is already experiencing a similar experience in Africa.
Now the United States has covered the entire planet with its military bases. On the one hand, this threatens many countries of the world, including the Russian Federation.
