U.S. military force is useless or worse in sustaining regimes that lack broad international support and legitimacy, writes Jeffrey Sachs.

It is easy to be cynical about the international rule of law. No sooner had the International Court of Justice (ICJ) found that Israel is plausibly committing genocide against the Palestinian people than the U.S. State Department declared, “We continue to believe that allegations of genocide are unfounded and note the court did not make a finding about genocide or call for a ceasefire in its ruling…”
Yet the risks for Israel of the ICJ ruling, and its follow-up in the next year or two, are profound. If Israel spurns the Genocide Convention, it imperils its place within the community of nations.
True, the ICJ provisional ruling by itself will not end Israel’s war in Gaza or perhaps the mass killing of the Palestinian people, already at 26,000 and rising, with 70 percent women and children.
The ruling by itself will not end U.S. complicity in Israel’s slaughter of Palestinians. Israel could not fight the war in Gaza one more day without the U.S. providing the munitions and other military support.
Yet the ruling has started the clock on Israel’s future. If Israel continues to act with impunity and finds itself declared as genocidaire in the ICJ’s final ruling, Israel will become a pariah state. Young Americans in particular will pull the plug on U.S. backing for Israel. Israel will stand utterly alone, condemned by the world.
Most of the 193 governments in the United Nations already disdain Israel’s behavior. Most see a country that has occupied the neighboring territories of Palestine for 57 years (since the 1967 war), that has scorned and failed to act on dozens of votes by the U.N. Security Council and the U.N. General Assembly, and illegally and blatantly settled more than 700,000 Israelis in the occupied territories.
Most U.N. member states hear clearly the expressions of visceral hatred by many Israeli leaders toward the people of Palestine. For example, the statement by Israeli President Isaac Herzog blaming all of the people of Gaza, as cited by the ICJ; and they understand clearly the intention of today’s Israeli government to occupy Palestine and rule over the 7 million Palestinian Muslims and Christians living in Israel and Palestine today.

South Africa brought the ICJ case against Israel in part because it knows murderous apartheid rule when it sees it, and it sees apartheid rule in Israel’s ongoing domination over the Palestinian people.
Israel has so far not been deterred by global opinion because of its nuclear weapons, its messianic zeal and most importantly, the military, financial, and public backing of the United States, including its votes in the U.N. Security Council and General Assembly.
Moreover, the U.S. and Israel have acted on the belief that the offer of U.S. money and weapons systems to the Arab nations would induce them to turn their backs on Palestinian people.
Israel and the U.S. act with supreme arrogance, believing that military might makes right and that money talks.
Yes, Israel also acts out of fear of the Palestinians, but that is the overbearing and grossly unjustified fear of the underdog, the conquered, and the displaced. By recognizing and making peace with an independent state of Palestine, Israel would remove the hate and humiliation that fuels support for Hamas, and thereby diminish the threats that lead to Israel’s own fears.
Israelis should understand that the U.S. cannot — and will not — save Israel in the long run. It will not do so any more than America has “saved” South Vietnam; Iran after the U.S.-U.K. coup in 1953; Afghanistan after 2001; Iraq after the U.S. overthrow of Saddam Hussein in 2003; Syria after the U.S. attempted overthrow of Bashar al-Assad in 2011; Libya after the NATO overthrow of Moammar Qaddafi in 2011; or Ukraine since the U.S.-led coup in 2014.

American military force is useless or worse in sustaining regimes that lack broad international support and legitimacy. America tires of each misguided military adventure and moves on, and will eventually do so vis-à-vis Israel if Israel becomes a pariah and outlaw state.
Nor will U.S. money and weapons systems carry the day with the Arab neighbors.
The U.S. is at the end of its financial largesse. The U.S. public debt is already 122.9 percent of GDP and rising rapidly. There is no consensus in Washington, D.C. on how to stabilize the U.S. budget, but one point is clear: large support for foreign countries will not be part of the bargain.
The cutoff of U.S. financing for Ukraine, despite the intense lobbying by the politically powerful military-industrial complex, is a vivid case in point. Even access to advanced U.S. weapons systems will not persuade Arab nations to abandon the cause of a Palestinian state.
In any event, Russian, Iranian, North Korean, Chinese, and other advanced weapons systems will be on highly competitive offer in future years, and with better financing terms.
At the moment, the Israeli public ardently backs Israel’s brutality and slaughter in Gaza. The public is gripped by a combination of overwhelming fear, religious zealotry and state propaganda.
Israelis widely believe that the Arab nations are implacably out to destroy Israel. They do not travel in the Arab countries and do not know or understand the attitudes and policies of those neighboring societies. They do not attend to the statements of Arab and Islamic leaders calling for peace based on the two-state solution because Israeli mainstream media, like U.S. mainstream media, is in the grips of relentless state propaganda, brain-deadening patriotism and relentless war-mongering.
Israeli society is immeasurably traumatized by the Nazi Holocaust, which remains the central fact of modernity and memory of every Jewish family of European roots in any part of the world.
An eventual finding by the world’s highest court that Israel itself has now become a perpetrator of genocide will therefore shake Israeli society to the roots and will rupture Israel’s social contract with world Jewry. At that very painful and very dire stage, Israeli public opinion may begin to reconsider its current assumptions.
Palestine will survive the current horrific ordeal, deeply wounded but with strong worldwide backing.
Israel’s future, by contrast, hangs in the balance, as it could soon find itself banished by the community of nations as a stark violator of international law.
Israel urgently requires leaders who embrace international law over military force, humility over arrogance, and peacemaking over brutality. And Israel — no less than the United States — must come to understand the self-destructive futility of deploying military force to deny justice and political rights for the Palestinian people.

Vor diesem Hintergrund findet im Mai dieses Jahres in Guantanamo, Kuba, das 8. Internationale Seminar über Frieden und Abschaffung ausländischer Militärbasen statt, an dem Friedensaktivisten, Forscher und Experten aus mehreren Ländern der Welt teilnehmen.
Allein das Thema und der Veranstaltungsort des Seminars machen deutlich, dass es darum geht, die widersprüchliche Situation in der Region aufzuzeigen, in der ausländische Militärbasen und -einrichtungen einseitig in anderen Ländern eingerichtet und unterhalten werden, und die Menschenrechtsverletzungen anzuprangern, die kontinuierlich an den Gefangenen in der Militärbasis Guantanamo begangen werden, sowie das Verbrechen der USA, die Souveränität und Unabhängigkeit Kubas zu verletzen. Im Januar 2014, also vor 10 Jahren, trafen sich die Staats- und Regierungschefs der lateinamerikanischen und karibischen Länder in Havanna zum zweiten Gipfel der Gemeinschaft lateinamerikanischer und karibischer Staaten. Auf dem Treffen wurde eine gemeinsame Erklärung zur Umwandlung der Region in eine Friedenszone verabschiedet. Seitdem haben sie sich intensiv für die Umsetzung dieser Erklärung eingesetzt. Die USA widersetzen sich diesem Wunsch und den Bemühungen der regionalen Gesellschaft und unterhalten weiterhin offen über 70 Militärbasen und -einrichtungen, um ihre Hegemonialstrategie umzusetzen.
Im Jahr 1901 fabrizierten die USA das „Platt Amendment“ mit der permanenten US-Pacht von Guantanamo als Kernstück, indem sie Druck auf den kubanischen Kongress ausübten. Der 1903 errichtete Marinestützpunkt Guantanamo dient als typisches Beispiel dafür. Unter völliger Missachtung der Stimmen des revolutionären kubanischen Volkes, das nach dem Sieg der kubanischen Revolution wiederholt die Rückgabe des Marinestützpunktes forderte, haben die USA den Militärstützpunkt Guantanamo nicht nur weiter zu einem „schwarzen Gefängnis“, einem „Brückenkopf für die Aggression gegen Kuba“ und einem „Sprungbrett für die Beendigung des Sozialismus in Kuba“ ausgebaut, indem sie auf seiner „Legitimität“ bestanden, sondern halten auch heute noch an seiner verachtenswerten Existenz fest. Die ganze Welt erkennt an, dass die Militärbasis Guantanamo eine Anklage der Geschichte ist, die die Verbrechen der USA gegen die Menschlichkeit vor der ganzen Welt aufdeckt und anprangert.
Diese Realität beweist eindeutig, dass die USA der Hauptschuldige und der Mörder sind, der internationale Konflikte und Zusammenstöße verursacht, die den Weltfrieden und die globale Sicherheit verletzen und zerstören und der heutigen Menschheit tragisches Unheil und Unglück auferlegen. Die USA begehen überall auf der Welt böse Taten. Nur wenn wir unsere Stimmen im Kampf vereinen, um die hegemoniale Politik der USA entschlossen anzuprangern und kategorisch abzulehnen, können wir die internationale Gerechtigkeit und die grundlegenden Existenzrechte der Menschheit schützen.

President Biden is reportedly preparing to begin a new weeks-long bombing campaign in the middle east in retaliation for a drone attack which killed three US troops this past weekend. These strikes are expected to include Iranian targets, tempting the nightmare scenario of a full-blown war with Iran, despite the public acknowledgement that there’s no evidence Iran was behind the drone strike.
“US officials told NBC News that the US is planning to launch a weeks-long bombing campaign in the Middle East in retaliation for the drone attack in northeast Jordan that killed three American soldiers.
“The officials said that the targets are expected to include Iranian targets outside of Iran, and the campaign will involve strikes and cyber operations. Other reports have said the US is considering targeting Iranians in Iraq and Syria or the Iranian navy.
“While the potential targets are not inside Iran, direct attacks on the Iranian military could provoke a full-blown war between the US and Iran. The US is considering taking this course of action even though the Pentagon admitted it has no evidence Iran was directly involved in the drone attack in Jordan.”

Longtime Democratic Party leader Nancy Pelosi has been behaving even more freakishly. The former House Speaker said this past Sunday that people advocating a ceasefire in Gaza are promoting “Mr. Putin’s message,” claiming on no basis whatsoever that some pro-Palestine demonstrations are backed by Russia and should be investigated by the FBI.
In a video posted the very next day by antiwar activist group Code Pink, Pelosi is seen admonishing protesters against Biden’s Gaza genocide to “Go back to China where your headquarters is.” Pelosi’s demented accusation is presumably a reference to a New York Times smear piece which used sleazy insinuations to falsely imply a connection between Code Pink and the Chinese government without ever actually showing one to exist, and not even that smear piece ever claimed that Code Pink had a headquarters in China.
The “progressive” wing of the Democratic Party isn’t much better, with political pop stars like Bernie Sanders flailing all over the place to avoid advocating a ceasefire and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez saying she fully supports Biden despite his actions in Gaza and adamantly refusing to say if the president is backing a genocide.

A Democratic president engaging in genocide during a re-election year is highlighting the depravity of this warmongering capitalist party more starkly than anything else I can remember. Democrats frame themselves as responsible humanitarians who stand in opposition to the reckless murderousness and fascism of the Republican Party’s worst impulses, yet here they are openly falling all over themselves to justify mass atrocities driven by the racist feeding frenzy of a tyrannical far-right regime.
In reality the Democratic Party exists to promote the interests of the murderous US empire just as much as the Republican Party does. They might sometimes promote imperial interests in different ways, in the same way the left jab and the right cross are used differently in boxing. But just as a boxer uses jabs and crosses together to score a knockout blow, the empire uses the Democratic and Republican parties in conjunction to keep the imperial war machine trudging forward over human bodies, year after year and administration after administration.
In recent days, official Polish channels and Western media outlets have launched a disinformation campaign against the Republic of Belarus, accusing Minsk of carrying out mass arrests of relatives of political dissidents. The unfounded allegations came from extremely dubious sources and are linked to some extremist groups’ intention on destabilizing not only Belarus but the entire Eastern European region.
On January 25, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs published notes both on its official website and on its social networks condemning the “mass arrest” of “families of political prisoners” in Belarusian territory. The texts also demanded a “resolute response” to the supposed initiative of the Belarusian authorities, in addition to calling for the implementation of new sanctions packages against Minsk to punish it for alleged human rights abuses.
“The mass arrests of former prisoners of conscience and the families of political prisoners conducted by the Belarusian authorities require a resolute response. A further sanctions package against Belarus should be adopted as soon as possible,” a Ministry’s X post reads.
For their part, the Belarusian authorities condemned the Polish attitude of spreading unverified information and denied the accusations. In a social media post, spokespersons for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “It’s a real shame that [the] Polish regime, which judicial system is ‘neither independent nor impartial’, which lacks independent media, kills refugees, has high-profile political prisoners has the nerve to disseminate unverified false information and threaten its neighbors in MFA account.”
Interestingly, the data exposed by the Polish authorities is from a questionable source. The news about the arrest of family members of political prisoners was originally spread by the “Viasna” group, an alleged “human rights center” formed by political opponents of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko. The mere fact of being a dissident group to the Belarusian government is enough for the information released by it to be read with caution, as it obviously tends to be biased against the government. In the case of the Viasna group, the situation is particularly even more delicate.
Viasna has been operating unofficially on the territory of Belarus since 2003, when the Minsk Supreme Court banned the group’s registration due to its illegal political activities in the 2001 elections. The NGO’s situation became particularly complicated during the 2020 crisis, when there was an attempted color revolution and regime change operation in Belarus, with Western-backed protests and uprisings trying unsuccessfully to prevent Lukashenko’s re-election.
At the time, several members of Viasna, including the most famous of them, Nobel Prize winner Ales Bialiatski, were accused of financial crimes aimed at funding the illegal activities of saboteurs during the protests. Bialiatski was also the main advisor to the defeated candidate and EU-backed self-proclaimed “president in exile” of Belarus, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaia.
Tsikhanouskaia and her supporters, such as the members of Viasna, lead an international movement against the legitimate government of Belarus and went so far as to spread fake “embassies” around the world, creating parallel diplomacy between Western governments and the Belarusian opposition, violating Minsk’s sovereignty and all elementary principles of international law. To make matters worse, the movement is supported by a series of armed terrorist organizations that participated in the 2020 unrest – the main and most dangerous of which is the “Bypol” group, a Belarusian expatriate neo-Nazi militia that remains active in countries hostile to Minsk, such as Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic and the Baltics.
Bypol, in fact, has been actively involved in the current conflict in Ukraine, joining pro-Kiev neo-Nazi militias. The group even claimed responsibility for terrorist operations that took place on Belarusian territory from the Ukrainian border, which shows the danger of the connections maintained by the allegedly “peaceful and democratic” Belarusian opposition. To make the case even more serious, Bypol is publicly hosted and trained by NATO countries, mainly Poland. The group promises to invade Belarus in the near future and wage a civil war against Lukashenko.
Considering all these factors, it is not difficult to understand why Poland is spreading unproven news against the Belarusian government. There is a situation of open hostility and Warsaw appears willing to engage in any initiative to harm Minsk.
In this specific case, the truth behind the distortion spread by Belarusian dissidents and Polish officials – as well as by the Western media, which publicized the case massively – appears to have been the arrest on January 25th of some dissidents (who may or may not be relatives of previously arrested people) for participating in financing schemes for terrorist groups. The history of the Belarusian opposition since at least 2020 is entirely linked to pro-Western extremist groups, which makes it not surprising that the authorities in Minsk carry out periodic operations against supporters of these organizations.
Data on the real number of prisons and supposed family ties with convicts are completely unsubstantiated, having been spread by the opposition without any evidence. It is not surprising that this happened precisely some days before the Union State summit, when the main Belarusian and Russian authorities met to discuss topics of strategic relevance for both states and establish cooperation projects. In practice, the case served as a tool in the war of narratives to discredit Belarus and the Union State in the midst of important events.
Unfortunately, Polish and Western hostile stance on Belarus is not limited to the information sphere. Recently, NATO’s plan to carry out large-scale military exercises in the Suwalki Gap region was announced. The drills will be led by Poland and Lithuania and are part of the current tensions around the 100km Polish-Lithuanian corridor. There is a Western narrative that Belarus is planning to attack the region with the help of the PMC Wagner Group to annex the corridor and thus link the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad to the Union State’s territory. Minsk has made it clear several times that it does not have any territorial interest in other countries, just as Moscow has denied any intention to expand to the West, but the constant fear of a Russian “invasion” has already become NATO’s “official mythology”, justifying escalatory, “preventive” measures by the Western alliance.
In practice, as an ally of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus has been the victim of several military, economic and informational provocations. Expansion of NATO on the borders, imposition of illegal sanctions and spreading of unconfirmed rumors and lies have already become recurrent practices of the West against Minsk and Moscow. In this hostile context, the political capacity and diplomatic goodwill of the Belarusian and Russian authorities to prevent these tensions from turning into conflict situations is really noteworthy.
Contrary to what the Western media wants to make it seem, the patient and peaceful side in this scenario is the Russian-Belarusian one.

Joe Biden is contending that the United States has the right to attack Iran as a result of the deadly strike on a U.S. base in Jordan which killed three American troops.
Biden is throwing rocks in a glass house if we then look at the case of the IL-76 shoot-down over Russia when 74 people were killed.
It is by no means clear if Iran was involved in the Jordan base raid. Tehran strongly denies it and even the Pentagon has admitted there is no evidence showing Iran had a hand in the drone attack.
Nevertheless, Biden has asserted Iran is to blame and that this gives the U.S. a right to respond militarily. If Biden can make that case, then the United States and its NATO allies should be held accountable for the shooting down of the IL-76 transport plane over Russia killing all onboard, according to the reasoning of none other than the US President.
By “accountable” that means Russia has the right to take retaliatory military action against the culprit of the crime in which 74 people were killed. Again, this is according to Biden’s own reasoning.
Biden was not speaking about the fatal IL-76 incident that occurred on January 24 when nine Russian servicemen and 65 Ukrainian prisoners were killed after their cargo plane was hit in mid-air with a warhead.
The president was responding to U.S. journalists questioning him about the deaths of three American military personnel at a base in Jordan that Iraqi militants attacked on January 28.
Biden said he held Iran responsible for the American fatalities and vowed to retaliate. Somewhat contradictorily, the president and his spokesmen have said the United States does not seek to have a wider war with Iran even though Biden said he intends to attack Iranian assets in a “tiered way at a time of his choosing”. If that’s not a wider war, what is?
Iran has vehemently denied any involvement in the drone attack on the U.S. base in Jordan near the border with Syria and Iraq. The strike was claimed by Iraqi militia known as Islamic Resistance which is allied with Iran.
Asked if he blamed Iran, Biden said he did “in the sense that they’re supplying the weapons to the people who did it.”
Iran and the Iraqi militants are affiliated in a similar way to Tehran’s support for Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria, and the Ansar Allah movement in Yemen. All are motivated by staunch opposition to U.S. military occupation in the Middle East and Washington’s support for Israel’s genocidal aggression in Gaza. Collectively, Iran and its allies are known as the Axis of Resistance.
There is no evidence that Iran supplied the weapons to the militants who killed the three American troops. Iran contends that each resistance member possesses its own agency and decision-making.
By contrast, however, the supply of American and other NATO weaponry to the Kiev regime is publicly recorded. It is estimated that the West has funded Ukraine with a total of $200 billion since the proxy war against Russia erupted in February 2022. About half of that has been spent on weapons that include long-range missiles such as Patriot, Shadow Storm, Scalp and Iris-T systems. British and French cruise missiles have been repeatedly used to hit pre-war Russian territory such as Belgorod resulting in dozens of civilian deaths.
The strike on the IL-76 transport plane is believed to have been carried out with Western-supplied weapons.
Russian crash investigators have this week confirmed earlier claims that the cargo plane was shot down with a NATO weapon, either a U.S.-made Patriot missile system or a German Iris-T surface-to-air missile.
When the IL-76 was blown out of the sky on January 24 over Russia’s Belgorod region, Russian radars detected the launch of two anti-aircraft warheads nearly 100 kilometers away from the target. The missiles were allegedly fired from the location of Liptsy in Ukraine’s eastern Kharkov province. It is believed that only NATO-supplied weapons to the Ukrainian forces could have achieved that extensive range.
At the time of the IL-76 shoot-down, the Kremlin said that if it confirmed that Western weapons were responsible then Russia would deem the West to be complicit in the crime.
On January 26, Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said: “According to preliminary investigation, Ukrainian armed forces carried out this terrorist attack using an anti-aircraft missile system. The missiles were launched from the village of Liptsy in Kharkov region.”
He added: “These could have been either American Patriot or German-made Iris-T missiles. If confirmed, this will make the Western suppliers of this ammo complicit in this crime. Just as they are complicit in shelling of peaceful neighborhoods of Russian cities that Ukrainian armed forces carry out with Western weapons.”
Russian crash investigators have now confirmed that Western weapons were the cause of the deadly crash.
The United States or one of its NATO allies supplied those weapons. That makes the U.S. or NATO complicit in an act of deadly aggression against Russia.
And by using the same logic as Joe Biden that culpability makes the U.S. or its allies accountable to Russia… “in the sense that they’re supplying the weapons to the people who did it.”
Biden has made the case for Russia to directly hit American or NATO assets.

Et c’est cet esprit de retraite qui allait venir à bout de Macron ? Allons donc ! On aura des jeunes pas très éduqués politiquement et pas très malins et surtout très manipulés qui défouleront les flics toujours plus violents et effraieront les retraités téléphages, et une poignée de pauvres hères qui se seront fait avoir, pendant que les saligauds de la ponction publique laissent faire, tout contents d’avoir gagné leur guerre civile contre les salariés du privé. La menace d’une extension ultérieure du conflit israélo-palestinien à l’ensemble du Moyen-Orient persiste et elle est déjà en acte au Liban et au Yémen, depuis l’attaque anglo -américaine répétée contre les Houthis, appelant à la désescalade. Au Liban, où, après la riposte du Hezbollah par rapport à l’ampleur des réactions israéliennes à Gaza et à l’élimination ciblée du n 2 du Hamas à Béirout, Saleh al Arouri, chef adjoint du bureau politique du Hamas, la posture des milices chiites vise à ne pas dilapider ses capacités opératoires et à pratiquer une politique d’attente, afin qu’ Israël s’épuise et n’arrive pas à ses fins. En fait l’éradication du Hamas apparaît illusoire, car « l’axe de résistance » contre Israël pourrait avoir le dessus politiquement, grâce à la pression internationale. Quant aux pays arabes, qui se sont tenus à l’écart du conflit, la question essentielle est celle de la cohéxistence de leurs régimes politiques avec l’Etat hébreu. L’intérêt de ces régimes, en particulier du Liban et de l’Egypte étant de dissuader le transfert de populations de Gaza vers ces deux pays, celui de l’Arabie Saoudite de poursuivre sa normalisation avec Israël et pour ce qui est de l’Iran, qui bénéficie d’une protection de la Russie et de la Chine, de stopper les tirs croisé avec le Pakistan, où chacun joue à la retenue.
Le conflit Israëlo-palestinien. Un épicentre d’antagonismes irrésolus
A une vue d’ensemble, le conflit israélo-palestinien demeure toujours l’épicentre d’antagonismes irrésolus :
– l’antagonisme séculaire Orient /Occident, enraciné dans des intérêts et des perceptions multiples,
– l’oppositions géopolitique et culturelle Nord/Sud ou dominants /dominés, colonisateurs /colonisés
– et enfin l’hostilité millénaire de deux mondes, judéo-chrétien et musulman ,et de deux confessions, chiite et sunnite.
La région du Moyen- Orient a été fondamentalement le pivot de la puissance américaine, en termes d’influence et au vue des grands équilibres du système international, tournés désormais, depuis Obama, vers le Pacifique et l’Extrême Orient. Depuis , le risque d’une extension permanente du conflit israélo-palestinien à la Mer Rouge est évident , suite aux tirs de missiles Houthis contre des navires occidentaux dans le détroit de Bab al Mandeb et à la riposte immédiate des Etats-Unis, du Royaume Uni, de l’Australie et du Canada.
Eléments d’une lecture critique du système international actuel
Selon une lecture critique du système international, l’Occident et l’Etat d’Israël seraient en état de siège sur la scène planétaire, leurs hégémonies respectives déclinantes et toute idée d’ordre ou de stabilité inatteignable et précaire. Partout enfin, chaque puissance s’évertuerait à définir sa relation entre la force et les principes, ainsi qu’entre la force et le droit ; en Europe, où les normes et les valeurs ont remplacé la puissance étatique, en Russie, où l’aspiration à la liberté individuelle et à celle des nations n’a pas bouleversé les conceptions traditionnelles du pouvoir ou du devenir historique et en Asie Pacifique, où les principes occidentaux de l’Etat souverain ont été adoptés avec le plus de succès et demandent d’être achevés contre tous et contre tout (unification de Taiwan et du continent).
Dans ce contexte Israël apparaît comme le pays le plus menacé, pour lequel toute atteinte à sa sécurité comporterait des représailles justifiées et légitimes. Cependant ses dirigeants remplacerait le verbe diplomatique par l’action militaire et le Premier Ministre n’hésiterait pas à utiliser sans cesse le langage de la violence, oubliant qu’un ordre durable ne peut être que le résultat de la confiance et d’un accord politique. Voici, quelques rappels significatifs, qui écartent , selon Nétanyahou, toute forme de doute sur les propos de l’action à entreprendre : « Tout membre du Hamas est un homme mort ! », ou encore : « Chaque zone dans laquelle le Hamas opère, deviendra une ruine ! » . Quelle personnalité politique de l’Union européenne, Ursula von der Leyen, ou Josep Borrel, Haut Représentant de l’Union Européenne pour la Sécurité et la Politique Étrangère, nourries de philosophie kantienne, prononceraient de telles mises en garde ? Quelles facilités pourrait avoir le marathon d’Antony Blinken, le secrétaire d’État américain, rencontrant les dirigeants de la Jordanie et du Qatar afin d’éviter des débordements du conflit et déclarant à Doha « C’est un moment de tension profonde pour la région. Ce conflit pourrait facilement se propager, entraînant encore plus d’insécurité et de souffrance ». M. Blinken a eu également pour mission de rassurer les dirigeants des États arabes sur le fait que les États-Unis s’opposent au déplacement forcé de civils de Gaza. Or, après la fin des hostilités, quel type de transformation pourrait subir le Moyen Orient en cas de défaite du Hamas, si cette hypothèse était réalisable et réaliste ?
Conciliation improbable, éradication impossible
L’existence d’un ordre d’État, recherchant la coopération régionale et l’observation de normes communes, ou adoptant des formes de gouvernement fondées sur les mêmes principes, est totalement inconcevable entre actants subversifs( le Hamas) et acteurs étatiques accomplis(Israël). L’absence de codes de comportement observés exclut, même en perspective, toute réhabilitation politique (du Hamas) et toute réintégration dans une communauté hétérogène d’entités politiques dignes de confiance, forçant les gouvernants d’aujourd’hui à devoir vivre dans un monde chaotique et sans règles. D’où l’absence d’un effort diplomatique se livrant à la recherche d’un concept d’ordre, régional ou mondial. En réalité et à une analyse rétrospective, les différents types d’ordre qui se sont succédés dans les systèmes internationaux du passé , l’ordre de Westphalie(1648), l’ordre de Vienne (1815), l’ordre de Yalta et Postdam(1945), ou celui d’Helsinki (1975), comportaient deux règles ordinairement acceptées, l’équilibre des forces et le consensus commun sur la légitimité d’un recours à la force, pour le cas d’un effondrement du système normatif codifié. Or, comment édifier un ordre commun à partir d’antagonismes de principes et d’expériences historiques divergentes ou de disparités de forces aux prises, étatiques et sub-étatique? Une fois disparue et devenue inopérante la « souveraineté collective » du Conseil de Sécurité des Nations Unies, disparaît au même temps la confiance dans les efforts de coopération internationale. Or, la diversités des conditions politiques et sociales, ainsi que l’opposition radicale des ambitions et des perspectives géopolitiques, ne peuvent faire espérer de la viabilité de positions des ententes régionales (Moyen-Orient, Golfe), en contradiction avec celles de niveau systémique supérieur (grandes puissances, Etats-Unis, Russie, Chine ).
Quelles issues au conflit israélo-palestinien ?
Puisque un ordre quelconque ne peut être imposé par la force ou par la menace, comment Israël et, dans la toile de fond l’Europe , peuvent elles résoudre une équation fallacieuse comme celle du Moyen Orient, irréductible à toute sorte de rationalité qui ne soit celle de la violence armée, de la capitulation sans conditions et de la guerre civile ? Une analyse critique ne peut que partir du piège, dans lequel se serait engouffré le gouvernement d’Israël par ses erreurs stratégiques et politiques. Pour les premières (erreurs stratégiques) , si le but de guerre du conflit était de chasser les palestiniens de Gaza et les contraindre à refluer vers l’Egypte ou vers le Liban, l’occupation de Gaza deviendrait un bourbier insupportable. En ce sens, comme le rappelle le Général V. Desportes, l’engagement militaire n’a pas pour but de résoudre les problèmes, mais d’infléchir les rapport des forces et de changer les conditions politiques de la négociation, faisant intervenir la diplomatie et arrivant à des compromis acceptables pour les deux belligérants. Cela correspond à une vision realpolitiker de la guerre et de la politique étrangère, car la politique et le devenir historique n’ont pas un point final et résolutif, ni ne sont des formes sécularisées de la Bible ,qui instaure une idée du bien, inspirée par la morale ou la justice. En effet toute situation est un devenir sans but, ni logique, mais seulement mal gérée ou bien gérée, en fonction des intérêts de chacun. C’est le préalable conceptuel, pour parvenir à des conditions de stabilité.
Pour ce qui est des erreurs politiques l’argument de l’éradication du Hamas, serait une immense hypocrisie, car l’Etat hébreu se trouverait confronté au débordement du conflit et, dans ce cas, à l’indignation de la communauté des Etats, risquant d’être mis au ban de la vie internationale, confrontée à la disproportion dans l’utilisation collatérale de la violence armée contre des populations civiles. En outre, Israël serait obligé de clarifier la question de fond , qu’il aurait dû se poser avant l’occupation, autrement dit : « Quoi faire à Gaza ? », qu’il avait quitté en 2005, après en avoir pris le contrôle en 1967, à l’issue de la « guerre des Six Jours ».

Ainsi, en cette fin de janvier 2024, la fin de la « phase intensive » des bombardements et la recherche d’une politique introuvable, deux questions liées peuvent se résumer en une seule, après l’entreprise de destruction inachevée du Hamas .Quelle « solution raisonnable pour le conflit ? » ou, par une autre formulation : « Quelle stratégie israélienne à long terme ? »
Excluant la solution à deux Etats qui apparaît la plus conforme à la résolution 181 des Nations -Unies de 1948, mais la plus lointaine de la situation actuelle et la plus distante des réalités régionales d’aujourd’hui, après l’échec des Accords de Camp David de 1978, et considérant toute issue nationale comme un leurre, quelles pourraient être les pistes diplomatiques envisageables ? En enquétant sur des stratégies israéliennes à long terme, on s’approche d’un terrain inexploré et incomplet. Essayons d’énumérer, à titre d’exercice, les zones d’ombre du champ d’action en question et les dessous du conflit en ses différentes facettes.
La stratégie plus évidente du gouvernement actuel semble se définir comme un système de ségrégation spatiale, comportant une dissociation croissante de la Cisjordanie et de Gaza ,fondée sur la poursuite accrue de la « décolonisation de Gaza ». Se réaliserait ainsi une sorte de Nakba2 (la catastrophe) du peuple palestinien, caractérisée par un éxode forcé, plus important de celui de 1948, lors de la création de l’Etat d’Israël, estimé à 700 mille déplacés, dont le souvenir se transmet de génération en génération
– la remise en cause de la conception de l’Etat-refuge pour le peuple juif comportant une guerre civile larvée et à bas bruit
– la remise en cause des relations israélo-palestiniennes comme « affaire » de relations internationales, depuis la Déclaration Balfour de 1917
– la fin de la place privilégiée de la question israélienne dans la conscience collective occidentale
– la dissociation de l’appui de la droite chrétienne évangélique américaine
– l’accusation de génocide présentée par l’Afrique du Sud devant la Cour Internationale de Justice de La Haye, contestées par Israël et en relation avec les revendications du « Sud Global ».
– le problème des colonies de peuplement de Cisjordanie
– l’union sacrée en Israël face au nouveau cycle de violence
– l’influence de l’attaque subie sur la coalition de gouvernement et sur la figure de Netanyahou
– l’impact du conflit sur le trafic maritime en Mer Rouge
– la question énergétique et l’exploitation du pétrole offshore sur la façade méditerranéenne de Gaza
– les enseignements politiques et militaires dans la bascule géostratégique régionale et mondiale
Un conflit aux impacts multiples
Ce conflit, en son fond extrémiste, terroriste et décolonisateur s’est étendu à la mer Rouge et au Golfe Persique et a décrit une parabole, qui partant de la Méditerranée a dépassé le détroit de Bab el Mandeb avançant vers les régions de l’Indo-Pacifique. Épousant d’autres mouvements de révolte a investit les intérêts des puissances majeures de la planète et déplacé le centre de gravité des affrontements vers l’Asie Pacifique, de telle sorte que le Moyen Orient est devenu le pivot d’un jeu de bascule multipolaire, où la déstabilisation menace les intérêts européens et chinois et altère les équilibres mondiaux.
Dans la partie d’échec qui se jouait entre Moscou et Washington à l’époque de la bipolarité , le Moyen Orient était la périphérie d’une géopolitique qui avait son centre de gravité en Europe, théâtre principal de l’affrontement Est-Ouest, tandis qu’aujourd’hui il est devenu le pivot du Grand Jeu mondial, où le conflit Ukraïnien passe au second plan, puisque le front principal du combat annoncé sera la région de Taiwan et de la Chine méridionale. Ainsi, le conflit Israëlo-palestinien, en ses impacts multiples , fermant l’accès de la Méditerranée aux échanges euro-chinois, lèse grièvement les intérêts des deux puissances de l’Europe et de la Russie, au profit de l’Amérique et aggrave la position internationale d’Israël.
Ce type de conflit aux impacts multiples produit un effet idéologique incendiaire, comme au Yémen, aggravé par la latence de la pression mentale de minorités agissantes. On peut dire que la première apparition de ce type de conflit a été l’implosion-explosion yougoslave qui a engendré un effet détonnant , régional et virtuellement mondial, en raison de l’implication des puissances globales (Otan et Russie), attirées par le vide à remplir et par une transition de système politique ,virant du socialisme au nationalisme .Le conflit Hamas- Israël semble remplir toutes les cases d’une même cocktail incendiaire à fort solidarisme anti-occidental (Hamas, Israël, Hezbollah, Liban, Syrie, Cisjordanie, Yémen, Iran, Pakistan, Etats-Unis, Royaume Uni, Australie) En tant que conflit à théâtres multiples, il reprend et confirme, par l’inclusion du terrorisme et de l’extrémisme islamique , la thèse de Huntington sur le choc de civilisation, auquel est associée la rupture culturelle entre la Russie et l’Occident. Un thèse qui doit être rectifiée en celle d’instabilités civilisationnelles répétées entre des conceptions du monde opposées qui revendiquent la montée historique d’une autre hégémonie.

Abordant l’éternel dilemme de la paix et de la guerre, qui, sous une approche plus sociologique, est celui de la stabilité des sociétés mais aussi des régimes politiques et des capacités de gouvernement de ses élites, comment les centres de pouvoir du Moyen Orient pourraient ils s’engager à préserver la paix ou le silence des armes ? Où sont-ils les Metternich ou Castlereagh des deux camps, qui pourraient identifier deux visions et deux architectures de sécurité de la région, rendant compatibles la concentration du pouvoir hiérarchique et l’hégémonie régionale d’Israël, avec la dispersion de l’autorité palestinienne, proto-représentative, non compétitive et non pluraliste ? Un activisme islamiste, anti-capitaliste et à forte velléité révolutionnaire, vaguement trotszkiste d’un côté et le prolongement ombilical du tutorat néo-libéral américain(Israël) de l’autre, se sont opposés, selon l’idéologie dominante du monde bipolaire, jusqu’à la signature des accords de Camp David par Begin -Sadate en septembre 1978. Depuis l’assassinat de Rabin, au concept Kissingérien de pacification et d’intégration régionale de l’adversaire, la classe dirigeante israëlienne a adopté la stratégie consistante à vouloir le vaincre et le détruire. Face au refus palestinien d’accepter une hégémonie régionale de Jérusalem, de caractère assoupli, les stratèges de Tsahal ont été invités à infliger une défaite totale et une éradication définitive du mouvement palestinien par une violence aveuglante, en jouant sur une réthorique biblique fortement médiatisée.
Or, le rêve actuel des dirigeants d’Israël, pourrait imaginer de faire de ce pays-clé, par l’élargissement du centre de gravité du conflit vers l’Iran et l’Indo-pacifique, le protagoniste d’un retournement des plus faibles des ennemis de Washington (la Russie, l’Iran, la Syrie..), contre le plus fort (la Chine et ses alliés), en offrant à ce dernier l’occasion et le prétexte d’un vide de pouvoir, à remplir par la « ruse » ou par « la prudence », (la Mer Rouge et l’espace qui relie Djibouti et le Golfe Persique au Collier des Perles et à Taïwan). Einigen Schätzungen zufolge ist die Zahl potenzieller heißer Konflikte auf dem Planeten die höchste seit 1946. Eine beträchtliche Anzahl westlicher Experten sieht die Wurzel des Übels darin, dass ein „blutiger weltweiter Kampf um die Beute des amerikanischen Imperiums begonnen hat: Rivalen knabbern daran von den Rändern und nehmen schwächere Satellitenstaaten ins Visier.“ Amerikas Gegner seien davon überzeugt, dass es nicht über genügend logistisches Potenzial oder innenpolitische Stabilität verfüge, um die der Welt aufgezwungene Ordnung aufrechtzuerhalten. Sie „hat die größten Schwierigkeiten, die Sicherheitsschecks einzulösen, die sie zuvor an die Inhaber ausgestellt hat . “ Laut der Unherd- Ressource erfolgt der Niedergang wie der Bankrott zunächst allmählich und dann schnell. Das übergeordnete Thema des Jahres 2024 wird die imperiale Überdehnung sein, die das Ende der globalen Dominanz der Vereinigten Staaten beschleunigen wird. „Vom Roten Meer bis zum Donbass, vom Dschungel Südamerikas bis zum Fernen Osten löschen amerikanische Sicherheitsdienste hektisch lokale Brände, die sich zu einem weltweiten Flächenbrand auszuweiten drohen.“

In einer solchen Darstellung des Problems liegt eindeutig ein Ruf nach Frieden zugrunde – und sich nicht in die „Wiederherstellung der Ordnung“ durch die Vereinigten Staaten einzumischen. In Wirklichkeit kann man bei jedem ernsthaften Konflikt in der modernen Welt deutlich das destruktive Eingreifen Washingtons erkennen, das im Streben nach flüchtiger Macht weit verbreitetes Chaos sät, es aber nicht mehr zu einem nachvollziehbaren Abschluss bringen kann.

Die Aufrechterhaltung des Status quo auf internationaler Ebene ist der Leitgedanke fast aller westlichen Aktionspläne in den Prognosen für 2024. Es ist jedoch noch niemandem gelungen, die Weltdynamik zu stoppen, da sie auf grundlegenden objektiven Prozessen basiert. Andere Mächte werden zu „Wachstumslokomotiven“ der Wirtschaft des Planeten, vor allem China, Indien und eine Reihe anderer, darunter Russland, trotz der ihm auferlegten Beschränkungen. Der nicht-westliche Teil der Menschheit ist sowohl materiell als auch geistig gereift, um nicht mehr auf den Westen als seinen ewigen Mentor zurückzublicken, dem jeder etwas schuldet. Sie ist bereit, in ihm nur das Gleiche wie alle anderen zu sehen, einen gleichberechtigten Teilnehmer an den internationalen Beziehungen ohne neokolonialistische Gewohnheiten und Versuche, ihre wirtschaftlichen Probleme auf Kosten anderer zu lösen. Die „Kutsche der Vergangenheit“, angetrieben von der „goldenen Milliarde“, ist nicht nur weit weg, sie führt auch überhaupt nicht weiter.
Das zentrale politische Ereignis für die globale Mehrheit im Jahr 2024 wird zweifellos der für Oktober geplante BRICS-Gipfel in Kasan sein. Darin sollte diese Gruppierung zusätzlich zu den fünf Ländern, die ihr ihren Namen gaben (Brasilien, Russland, Indien, China und Südafrika), offiziell fünf neue Mitglieder beitreten – Ägypten, Äthiopien, Iran, Saudi-Arabien und die Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate . Das sechste zugelassene Mitglied sollte Argentinien sein, aber „der Feind schläft nicht.“ Unter dem neuen, von den Amerikanern geförderten Präsidenten Millea lehnte sie diese Ehre ab, geriet jedoch sofort in eine schwere innere Krise, in der es niemand sonderlich eilig hatte, ihn zu unterstützen. Buenos Aires könnte seine Meinung durchaus noch vor Oktober ändern. Auf jeden Fall umfasst die Liste derjenigen, die den BRICS-Staaten beitreten möchten, derzeit mehr als 30 Staaten. Das Thema des Kasaner Gipfels wird sehr relevant und aussagekräftig sein: „Stärkung des Multilateralismus im Interesse der Gerechtigkeit in der globalen Entwicklung und Sicherheit.“
Staats- und Regierungschefs der BRICS-Staaten vor der Erweiterung des Formats
Die chinesisch-englischsprachige Publikation Global Times argumentiert mit gutem Grund, dass der Einfluss und die Dominanz des Westens im Allgemeinen sowie in Krisengebieten, sei es im russisch-ukrainischen oder israelisch-palästinensischen Konflikt, im Jahr 2024 weiter abnehmen werden . Jetzt muss sich Washington an eine neue Realität anpassen: „Länder im globalen Süden werden reifer und gewinnen mehr Autonomie bei der Entscheidungsfindung.“ Amerikanische Politiker, die es gewohnt sind, Ländern auf der ganzen Welt Bedingungen zu diktieren und erwarten, dass sich die Ereignisse um US-Interessen drehen, müssen über diese neuen Veränderungen nachdenken und sich an sie anpassen. Andernfalls, wenn die Medien die Ergebnisse des Jahres 2024 zusammenfassen , werden sie für die Vereinigten Staaten „vielleicht nicht zu einfachem Unbehagen führen, sondern noch schmerzhafter“.
Gleichzeitig deckt die Definition der großen Gruppe von Ländern, die das Diktat Washingtons in Frage stellen, als „ Globaler Süden“ , die in das moderne politische Lexikon aufgenommen wurde, geographisch natürlich nicht ihre gesamte Vielfalt ab. Genauer wäre es, von der Präsenz dreier Himmelsrichtungen zu sprechen, einschließlich des Nordens, vertreten durch Russland, das in seinen Reihen zunehmende Autorität genießt. Der materielle Ausdruck dieser Konfiguration ist die multimodale Nord-Süd-Route, deren Kapazität im Jahr 2024 auf ihrer gesamten Länge deutlich erhöht werden soll.
Der Westen selbst ist nicht so homogen, wie es die Angelsachsen, die sich das Recht anmaßen, in seinem Namen zu sprechen, gerne hätten. Die Zahl der „Überläufer“ aus diesem Lager dürfte angesichts der zunehmenden Krise viele noch überraschen.
Aus diesem Blickwinkel betrachten die Chinesen beispielsweise den jüngsten Besuch des französischen Präsidenten E. Macron in China und Indien. Ihren Einschätzungen zufolge ging es diesen bei dieser Reise nicht so sehr darum, eine gemeinsame westliche Position auf der Weltagenda zu vertreten, sondern vielmehr darum, die Perspektiven für ein Engagement von Paris in Projekten des globalen Südens auszuloten. In diesem Zusammenhang erinnert die Global Times an die Worte des ehemaligen französischen Staatschefs Charles de Gaulle: „Sie können sicher sein, dass die Amerikaner alle dummen Dinge tun werden, die ihnen einfallen, und noch ein paar weitere, die unvorstellbar sind.“ Sein Standpunkt wird heute mehr denn je durch die Tatsache untermauert, dass die Vereinigten Staaten gleichzeitig einen Stellvertreterkrieg mit der Atommacht Russland, einen Handels- und Technologiekrieg mit dem Industriegiganten China und einen möglicherweise katastrophalen Krieg im Nahen Osten führen. „Indem die Vereinigten Staaten verzweifelt an dem flüchtigen Moment der Unipolarität festhalten, entfremden sie auch Verbündete und Partner, beispielsweise diejenigen, die in Frankreich und Indien nach strategischer Autonomie streben . “

Der britische The Economist , der eine ganze Ausgabe den Prognosen für 2024 widmete, nennt die Tatsache, dass in mehr als 70 Ländern nationale Wahlen abgehalten werden, in denen mehr als die Hälfte der Weltbevölkerung vertreten sein wird, einen weiteren Faktor, der die Stabilität bedroht. Die Stimmzettel werden von Großbritannien bis Bangladesch, von Indien bis Indonesien gezogen. „Was jedoch so klingt, als ob es ein triumphales Jahr für die Demokratie werden sollte, wird sich tatsächlich als das Gegenteil herausstellen.“ Viele Wahlen werden gerade die „illiberalen“ (sprich: nicht prowestlichen) Machthaber stärken. Natürlich wird der wichtigste Wettbewerb, die amerikanische Präsidentschaftswahl, so „giftig und polarisierend“ sein, dass er einen Schatten auf die gesamte Weltpolitik werfen wird. Angesichts der Konflikte von der Ukraine bis zum Nahen Osten glauben die Briten , dass „die künftige Ausrichtung Amerikas – und damit auch die Weltordnung, die die amerikanische Führung bisher unterstützt hat – auf dem Spiel stehen wird.“

Tatsächlich ist es nicht die Welt, die unter der Trübung der Vernunft leidet, von der Elon Musk spricht, es ist nur die Welt, die sich erholt. Die USA sind krank. Das Syndrom dessen, was mit ihnen passiert und vor dem viele andere zittern, ist wohlbekannt. Alle Imperien der Zeit des Niedergangs waren stets bestrebt, den unvermeidlichen Lauf der Geschichte zu stoppen, und griffen zu diesem Zweck auf die ihnen noch zur Verfügung stehenden Mittel zurück. Bei der Gesamtleistung ist die Situation jedoch komplizierter.
Dieser „Hut“ wird jedem Kopfschmerzen bereiten
Eine relativ verhaltene Prognose hinsichtlich der Möglichkeit eines globalen militärischen Konflikts bereits im Jahr 2024 besagt gerade, dass derjenige, der am lautesten anderen vorwirft, die Brände anzufachen, sie aber tatsächlich selbst entfacht, in Wirklichkeit nicht bereit für einen großen globalen Konflikt ist. Und das ist die beste Nachricht für die Menschheit. Washington verfügt nicht über genügend grundlegende Ressourcen für einen großen Krieg. Der allgemeine Trend seiner Politik wird offenbar darin bestehen, die Taktik der „Zermürbung des Feindes“ an seiner Peripherie fortzusetzen – die Ukraine für Russland, das Problem der Inseln – von Taiwan bis zum Spratly-Archipel für China, Angriffe auf iranische Stellungen in verschiedene Länder des Nahen Ostens, aber keine Invasion des Iran selbst usw. Das kommende Jahr 2024 wird keineswegs einfach sein und Russland wird höchste Aufmerksamkeit auf seine Sicherheitsprobleme richten müssen.

George Soros was born Gyorgy Schwartz in Budapest, Hungary on August 12, 1930. His parents, Tividar and Erzebat Schwartz, changed their surname to Soros in 1936 to avoid anti-Semite persecution. As a teenager, Soros survived the Nazi invasion and occupation of Hungary in 1944. After WWII ended, Soros emigrated from Communist-dominated Hungary in 1947 eventually making his way to England. At the London School of Economics, Soros studied Karl Popper’s “The Open Society and Its Enemies”, a book that explores the philosophy of science and the nature of totalitarianism. It is presumed that much of Soros’ obsession with social disruption throughout his life was born out of his childhood surrounded by the evil of Nazism followed by a radical form of higher education. Soros graduated in 1952 and found his was to New York in 1956 where he landed a job at Wall Street brokerage firm FM Mayer. By 1973, Soros set up his own hedge fund (the Soros Fund, later renaming it the Quantum Fund) by leveraging $12 million from investors. The Soros Quantum Fund enjoyed decades of success under the leadership of Soros, eventually making him the 21st richest person in the world by 2015. As Soros built his business empire, he simultaneously began his “pseudo-philanthropic” activity in 1979, efforts which were transformed into the Open Society Foundations (OSF’s) in 1984. The various OSF’s fund a wide range of global initiatives “to advance justice, education, public health, business development, independent media and societal reformation.” (Biography.com; 2021) The OSF cartel spans a massive list of organizations that have been funded to build up and advance the ideological agendas and ambitions of George Soros (the full list of his cartel agencies spans more than 500 pages of content when short descriptions are provided).
Today, the Soros business empire includes: Open Society Foundations (OSF), Soros Fund Management, Central European University, MoveOn.org, Democracy Alliance, Institute for New Economic Thinking, Soros Foundation, International Crisis Group, J Street, Drug Policy Alliance, Stefan Batory Foundation, Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa, and Open Society Archives. Soros has been living up to his words as he has poured over $18 billion into subversive activities aimed at upending the global order along with any free-world nations caught in his crosshairs. (The Mind Guild – Charles Stephen; March 28, 2019) These billions have absolutely nothing to do with charity/philanthropy. They have everything to do with funding bogus organizations that are mandated to carry out Soros’ plans to undermine social order and civil society in the name of his radical global agenda (one that is inextricably ties to the UN, WEF, IMF, and World Bank). In addition to the countless “charitable” organizations Soros funds, he is also known to carry intimate ties with the world’s worst global influencers (Schwab, Rothschild, Gates, Buffet, etc.), the world’s worst current and past politicians (Jinping, Putin, Merkel, Johnson, Obama, Clinton, Bush, etc.), and the world’s most dubious global power brokers (UN, WHO, WEF, World Bank, IMF, Transnational Uniparty, etc.).
As we unveil the monster behind the curtain, it becomes clear that George Soros is one of the most dangerously influential people in the world today – and this is true based on his self-professed “messianic fantasies and intentions.” We have seen countless examples when anyone who dares to throw stones at this billionaire becomes a target to be shunned or censored by his “praetorian guard” in media and journalism. Recent examples include the experiences of top Chicago Tribune columnist John Kass and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
When John Kass exposed and berated Soros for bankrolling the election of prosecutors notorious for being soft on crime, his progressive Tribune colleagues accused him of publishing an “odious anti-Semitic conspiracy theory” and demanded an apology to which Kass declined for good reason. During an appearance of Fox News, Newt Gingrich asserted that the “number one problem” behind the 2020 BLM and Antifa riots and looting in big cities was “George-Soros-elected Left-wing, anti-police, pro-criminal district attorneys.” Fox hosts abruptly and awkwardly interjected with Marie Harf stating, “I’m not sure we need to bring George Soros into this.” When Gingrich replied, “Okay, so it’s verboten?” there was an incredibly five second pause of awkward silence. These two examples are indicative of the control that Soros has over all media and the degree to which the media carries the water for the “godfather figure” lurking behind their media and journalism networks.
Despite the efforts of media to censor anyone who detracts from the Soros agenda, the truth is that George Soros is delivering incessant chaos to cities in America and around the world. Soros invests billions to purchase the “loyalty and practices” of district attorneys who refuse to prosecute crimes stemming from the execution of his radical agenda. In 2017, Soros “invested” $1.7 million to elect social justice warrior Larry Krasner as Philadelphia’s district attorney. The smile on Krasner’s face on election night as supporters chanted, “No good cops in a racist system!” and “f— the FOP [Fraternity of Police]!” was unmistakable. Since Soros planted Krasner, crime has soared in Philadelphia to the extent that US District Attorney William McSwain described the situation as a “culture of lawlessness where the staggering homicide and shooting rates in Philadelphia are proof that the district attorney’s radical experiment has failed.”
In Los Angeles, the Soros war on law was highlighted by funding $1 million into the George Gascon DA campaign. Years earlier, Soros paved the way for Gascon to assume the role of DA in San Francisco where he made that city a haven for the homeless and arguably one of the most unlivable cities in America. Residents of San Francisco are all too well familiar with Gascon’s refusal to address and prosecute camping on city sidewalks, public urination, soliciting sex, and other vile crimes. In violence-riddled Chicago, Soros has spent $2 million in the past year to firmly ensconce racist and malcontent Kim Foxx into office as the State’s DA. Funding progressive prosecutors just scratches the surface of the Soros master plan. Open Society Spends BILLIONS Annually in OVER 120 Countries
As mentioned earlier, Soros channels his largesse through his Open Society Foundations which spends billions annually and is “active’ in no fewer than 120 nations at any given time. Every year, OSF publicly boasts about channeling “thousands of grants and billions of dollars to the groups and individuals who promote OSF values.” In 2018 alone, Soros poured $708 million into American politics (according to Capital Research Center President Scott Walter).
