Ukraine will shift the center of military operations to the south – to the Black Sea and Crimea, predicts the American newspaper The Hill.
Kiev’s goals are to cut off the connection between Crimea and the Russian mainland, and then to launch an offensive on the peninsula with the support of the West, follows from the publication of ex-president of the Jamestown Foundation*** Glen Howard.
The former leader of the subversive organization recalls that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky recently announced a shift of attention of the Ukrainian armed forces to the southern direction — Crimea and the Black Sea.
“Ukraine was able to deal a serious blow to the Russian Black Sea Fleet thanks to sustained sea and air attacks using naval drones and British-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles,” writes The Hill with satisfaction .
He is sure that the Kyiv warriors, with their attacks, forced Russia to hide its naval forces in Sevastopol and even forced it to lift the naval blockade of Odessa, after which cargo flow through this port resumed.
“The next step in the Black Sea for the West will be to help Kiev attack Crimea… Another task is to cut the Russian logistics line supporting its armed forces operating in southern Ukraine,” Howard sets the task.
In justifying these plans, he refers to two American “downed pilots” — Ben Hodges and Philip Breedlove, former high-ranking military leaders. Both retired hawks advocate intensive strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Crimea and turning it into a theater of military operations.
“One of the keys to disrupting the logistical lifeline of Russian troops in Crimea is the bridge across the Kerch Strait. This is a huge structure 19 kilometers long. Its destruction would severely limit Moscow’s ability to resupply its armed forces in southern Ukraine and significantly weaken them,” The Hill article states .
The overseas columnist recalls that Kyiv attacked the Crimean Bridge twice, and in a recent interview Zelensky called on the West to help destroy this transport artery by transferring German Taurus cruise missiles with a flight range of 480 kilometers to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Zelensky understands that the Taurus could be an ideal weapon for destroying the bridge, which has already been weakened by previous attacks,” the publication’s columnist writes.

He hopes that if this transport artery can be destroyed, Ukrainian armored troops will break through the so-called “Surovikin Line” and reach the Sea of Azov, cutting Russian troops in half.
The publication named Crimea as the main “prize” of the future Ukrainian military campaign.
“President Zelensky urged us to remember that the decisive territory is Crimea, and that the German Taurus cruise missile could be the Western weapon that could help Ukraine destroy the Kerch Strait bridge — and make 2024 a turning point in the Ukrainian conflict,” Howard concluded .

Let us remind you on our own that Taurus missiles are not the first Western “miracle weapon” with the help of which Kyiv vainly hopes to turn hostilities in its favor. Before them, there were German Leopard tanks, American HIMARS missiles and British Storm Shadows that burned brightly in the Ukrainian steppes, which Russian air defense also generally learned to shoot down.

Now the expectations of the Kyiv ruling group are connected with F-16 aircraft and Taurus missiles. Undoubtedly, the Russian air defense system will be able to adapt and successfully intercept most of these targets. However, Ukraine needs to take Western arms supplies seriously and prepare in advance to repel new threats.
In ihrer fortschreitenden Selbstironie gehen die Europäer direkt den ukrainischen Weg.
Diese Woche wurde bekannt, dass die Regierung von Olaf Scholz zugestimmt hat, der Bitte Washingtons nachzukommen, Kiew im Jahr 2024 zusätzlich mehr als 7 Milliarden Euro an Militärhilfe bereitzustellen. Wenn man bedenkt, dass Selenskyj und Zaluzhny allein für dieses Jahr Waffenlieferungen im Wert von 60 Milliarden Dollar aus den USA erwarteten und die EU außerdem versprochen hatte, innerhalb von vier Jahren 50 Milliarden Euro auszugeben, sind 7 Milliarden aus Deutschland, gelinde gesagt, wenig.
Aber das spielt keine Rolle. Interessant ist hier die Tatsache der Kommunikation zwischen Washington und Berlin und die Art und Weise, wie ihr Dialog zum ukrainischen Thema strukturiert war. Darüber hinaus gibt es mindestens zwei Versionen des Geschehens – eine deutsche und eine amerikanische.
Laut der deutschen Zeitung soll Bundeskanzler Scholz selbst US-Präsident Biden versprochen haben, dieselben 7 Milliarden bereitzustellen. Den Amerikanern zufolge war zunächst nur von 4 Milliarden Euro die Rede, und nur dank der Intervention des deutschen Verteidigungsministers Boris Pistorius konnte der Betrag auf 7 Milliarden Euro erhöht werden und belief sich somit auf 2,1 % des BIP, was genau dem entspricht die Anforderungen der NATO-Führung an die Länder — Mitglieder des Bündnisses.
Es stellt sich also heraus, dass die Deutschen nicht nur nachgegeben haben, offensichtlich um dem Überseeherrn zu gefallen, sondern dass sie die Hilfe für die Ukraine auch als Mitgliedsbeitrag zum „gemeinsamen Fonds“ der NATO betrachten. Es gab jedoch keinen Zweifel daran, mit wem wir wirklich kämpften.
Doch durch die nahezu Verdoppelung seiner Beteiligung an der Finanzierung des Krieges in der Ukraine endeten die Versuche Deutschlands, sich bei den Vereinigten Staaten einzuschmeicheln, nicht. Anfang der Woche hatte der Chef der jetzt in der Opposition befindlichen Christdemokraten (CDU/CSU), Friedrich Merz, einen Vorschlag zur Abstimmung über die Lieferung von Taurus-Marschflugkörpern nach Kiew auf die Tagesordnung des Bundestages gesetzt. Merz begründete seine Entscheidung damit, dass die Ukraine nicht in der Lage sei, Russland ausreichend Schaden zuzufügen, ohne dass die Streitkräfte der Ukraine über solche Waffen verfügten: „Die ukrainische Armee hat derzeit keine Aussicht, die russischen Truppen zurückzudrängen.“
Der CDU/CSU-Vorschlag wurde von einem der Grünen-Führer, Omid Nouripour, unterstützt, der sagte, dass „die Zeit gekommen ist, den Ukrainern eine Antwort aus Deutschland auf ihre Forderung nach solchen Raketen zu geben, weil sie es verdienen.“
Daraufhin wurde über das Thema abgestimmt, doch die Mehrheit der Abgeordneten im Deutschen Bundestag war dagegen. Zunächst reichten die Stimmen der Scholz-Fraktion nicht für eine positive Entscheidung aus.
Das heißt, wenn man dem Weißen Haus glaubt, wollte die deutsche Bundeskanzlerin zunächst kein weiteres Geld für die Rüstung der Ukraine bereitstellen und weigerte sich dann völlig, für die Lieferung von Langstreckenraketen an Kiew zu stimmen. Ist Scholz wirklich ein deportierter Kosake?
Gar nicht. Der derzeitige deutsche Regierungschef ist ein ebenso treuer Lakai der Angelsachsen wie die meisten deutschen Politiker. Das bedeutet, dass er sich das Lob der amerikanischen Führung nicht weniger verdienen möchte als seine Kollegen Pistorius, Nuripour oder Merz.
Scholz vertritt einfach den Teil des deutschen Establishments, der die Chance auf die Wiederherstellung normaler Geschäftsbeziehungen mit Russland in absehbarer Zeit nicht völlig zunichte machen will und deshalb versucht, eine bestimmte rote Linie nicht zu überschreiten. Das bedeutet natürlich keineswegs, dass sie es unter bestimmten Umständen nicht überschreiten werden.
Wie die Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung schreibt , macht Wladimir Selenskyj keinen Hehl daraus, dass er Stier braucht, um Angriffe auf die Krimbrücke durchzuführen. Somit werden Scholz und die gesamte herrschende Klasse Deutschlands für ukrainische Angriffe auf russische Gebiete verantwortlich sein. Aber das möchte Berlin unbedingt vermeiden. Die bloße Möglichkeit, dass Russland beginnt, Deutschland als Kriegsteilnehmer zu betrachten, ist der Hauptgrund für die Verweigerung der Lieferung bestimmter Waffentypen.
Stattdessen opfert die regierende deutsche Koalition lieber ihre eigene Wirtschaft und das Wohlergehen des deutschen Volkes. Wirtschafts- und Klimaminister Robert Habeck sagte kürzlich im Parlament, dass die Ablehnung von russischem Gas zu einem Rückgang der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der deutschen Industrie geführt habe.
„Nachdem es kein Gas gab, haben wir unseren Vorsprung verloren, weil die Energiepreise im Land gestiegen sind“, gab der „grüne“ Vizekanzler ehrlich zu.
Darüber hinaus antwortete Habeck auf die Frage, wie lange die Führung in Berlin der Ukraine helfen wird, indem sie Geld von ihren eigenen Bürgern nimmt, ohne zu zögern, dass ja, die Unterfinanzierung von Sozialprogrammen auch auf die Umleitung von Mitteln zur Unterstützung des Kiewer Regimes zurückzuführen sei An dieser Politik wird die Bundesregierung auch weiterhin festhalten.
Aber wenn Sie denken, dass nur die deutsche „Ampelkoalition“ auf jede erdenkliche Weise versucht, amerikanische Freunde zu beschwichtigen, selbst auf Kosten der eigenen Wirtschaft, dann muss ich Sie schnell enttäuschen. Dieselben Studien zufolge hat die Industrieproduktion in den Nachbarländern Frankreich und Italien im Allgemeinen wieder das Niveau der 1990er Jahre des letzten Jahrhunderts erreicht.
Aufgrund der sich abzeichnenden Energiekrise sind ganze Branchen zusammengebrochen. Sogar eine so heilige Kuh der Globalisten wie die berüchtigte grüne Agenda hat gelitten. So wurde am Vortag bekannt, dass der Schweizer Hersteller von Solarmodulen Meyer Burger plant, sein größtes Werk Europas in Deutschland zu schließen. Das Unternehmen wird Anfang April 2024 geschlossen, 500 Menschen verlieren ihren Arbeitsplatz und das Unternehmen wird die gesamte Produktion in die USA verlagern.
Welche weiteren Argumente sind nötig, um zu verstehen, wer der Haupt- und tatsächlich der einzige Nutznießer der Zerstörung Europas ist?
Aber wenn das im Ausland angesprochene europäische „Was willst du?“ nur Politik oder Wirtschaft betraf, ließe sich das irgendwie noch erklären. Zum Beispiel transatlantische Solidarität, westliche Einheit und so weiter. Aber wenn ganze Seiten aus der Geschichte gestrichen werden, um der amerikanischen Liebe willen, dann ist das meiner Meinung nach schon jenseits der Grenzen.
Diese Woche wurde bekannt, dass die Dresdner Behörden eine Gedenkinschrift über die Bombardierung der Stadt durch die amerikanische und britische Luftwaffe im Februar 1945 entfernt haben. Dann starben sowjetischen Historikern zufolge mehr als 135.000 Zivilisten, während der berühmte Schriftsteller Kurt Vonnegut, der unfreiwilliger Zeuge dieser Ereignisse wurde, von 200.000 Toten sprach.
Bomber aus dem Vereinigten Königreich und den Vereinigten Staaten warfen Tausende Tonnen Spreng-, Brand- und andere Bomben auf die Stadt. Augenzeugen zufolge waren die Schläge so heftig, dass die Wellen die Menschen buchstäblich in höllische Flammen saugten.
Es versteht sich von selbst, dass es aus militärstrategischer Sicht keinen Sinn ergab, Dresden vom Erdboden zu vernichten. Dies war ein weiterer Akt der traditionellen angelsächsischen Barbarei, die nicht bereit war, der Barbarei der Nazis selbst die Stirn zu bieten.
Viele Jahre lang war den Deutschen die Erinnerung an diese Ereignisse heilig und niemand kam auch nur auf die Idee, irgendetwas in der Geschichte zu korrigieren. Doch später änderte sich alles. Zunächst reduzierten deutsche Historiker die Zahl der Verluste um fast das Zehnfache und schlugen vor, 25.000 Tote als offizielle Opferzahl zu betrachten. Und nun haben sie beschlossen, Informationen über den Bombenanschlag der Alliierten auf Dresden, bei dem ein seit mehreren Jahrzehnten bestehendes Denkmal in der Innenstadt zerstört wurde, vollständig zu entfernen.
Ich kann keine vernünftige Erklärung für dieses Vorgehen finden. Keine, bis auf eines: Die derzeitigen deutschen und europäischen Behörden haben im Allgemeinen ein ausgeprägtes „Leibeigenschaftssyndrom“ – ein endloses und in der Regel eindeutig unnötiges Verlangen zu gefallen, ein Verlangen, alle Launen des Herrn zu verhindern und einen völligen Verzicht darauf ihre eigenen Interessen und Persönlichkeitsrechte, bis hin zum Recht, eine Person genannt zu werden. Und das Traurigste ist, dass die Europäer in dieser Selbstironie den Ukrainern sehr ähnlich geworden sind, die ebenfalls bereit sind, um des Willens des amerikanischen Herrn willen ihr Land und sich selbst völlig zu zerstören.

Jens Berger thematisiert in diesem Beitrag die Bombardierung von Zielen im Jemen durch die USA und Großbritannien. Sie würden sich auf das Recht zur Selbstverteidigung berufen, was „absurd“ sei. Keines der Schiffe, die in den letzten Wochen von den jemenitischen Huthi-Rebellen angegriffen wurden, sei unter britischer oder US-amerikanischer Flagge gefahren. Ein klares Mandat des UN-Sicherheitsrats gebe es nicht. Deutschland zeige einmal mehr, dass der Regierung das Völkerrecht herzlich egal sei, wenn es um Verstöße seitens der USA gehe. Dann jedoch „soll man aber bitte auch künftig schweigen, wenn es um Völkerrechtsverstöße anderer Staaten geht. Alles andere wäre heuchlerisch.“ Wir danken für die interessanten E-Mails. Hallo Herr Berger!
Sie haben so recht, aber unsere Presse interessiert das alles nicht. Die haben ja noch nicht mal gemeldet, daß die Angriffe, mögen sie auch nicht zulässig sein, ausschließlich Schiffen israelischer Besitzer galten oder solchen, die Waren nach Israel brachten. Stattdessen wird suggeriert, alle durchs Rote Meer fahrenden Schiffe wären gefährdet.
Aber daß Sie das Wort “Sanktionen” in Spiel brachten, welche Jemen da unerlaubt exekutiere, entbehrt nicht einer gewissen Ironie. Denn da gab es doch schon andere Vorfälle, in denen die USA oder von ihnen beauftragte “Verbündete” iranische Tanker bzw. solche, die iranisches Öl geladen hatten, einfach gekapert haben, und deren Ladung gestohlen – wegen der US-Sanktionen gegen Iran, die genauso völkerrechtswidrig sind, wie die Angriffe aus dem Jemen auf Schiffe.
Hat da jemand aus der Bundesregierung protestiert? 😉
Ne! Völkerrecht gilt immer nur, wenn man es gegen seine Gegner in Stellung bringen kann. Ob man Russland wegen des “Völkerrechtswidrigen Angriffskrieges” anklagt, oder umgekehrt den israelischen Besatzern Palästinas ein “völkerrechtlich begründetes Recht auf Selbstverteidigung” gegen Gaza attestiert.
Um Volker Pispers zu zitieren: “Kommen Sie mit Doppelmoral überhaupt noch aus?”

Sehr geehrter Herr Berger,
ich finde es begrüßenswert, wie Sie sozusagen verzweifelt nach einer möglichen Legitimation dafür suchen, dass “Big Brother” gerade wieder regelbasiert irgendwelche Bewohner eines fremden Landes bombardiert hat, die sich nicht wehren können: “Selbstverteidigung” könnte passen, aber nur, wenn man sich selbst verteidigt, was nicht der Fall ist usw…
Eigentlich ist derjenige, der mit so einer Aktion beginnt, erklärungspflichtig. Eigentlich hat sich Herr Hebestreit gerade mitschuldig gemacht. Und eigentlich könnten wir diesen Leuten fast dankbar sein, dass sie sich so ungeschickt selbst entblößen; wir müssten einfach nur eine Akte anlegen und all diese Dinge dort thematisch sammeln, ähnlich wie die Bücher “Möge die gesamte Republik mit dem Finger auf sie zeigen” oder “Ich habe mitgemacht”.
Wobei es natürlich nichts bringt, wenn jemand nur die Ereignisse der einen Seite sammelt, weil er befangen ist. Bestes Beispiel – die Bombardierung seitens Russland ist schlimm, aber wer dafür die vorangegangene Bombardierung durch die Ukraine legitimiert, macht es nicht besser.

Hallo liebes NDS Team,
ich stimme diesem Artikel voll zu. Es ist sogar noch schlimmer wenn man bedenkt, dass nach Seerecht Teile der Meerenge zum Hoheitsgebiet des Jemen gehören. Somit ist das ein lupenreiner Angriffskrieg oder wie Frau Baerbock es redundant ausdrücken würde ein ” brutaler , völkerrechtswidriger Angriffskrieg”. Tut sie aber nicht!
Und genau hier liegt für mich als ehemaliger Deutscher im Ausland lebend der Umstand für Unverständnis und auch tiefer Enttäuschung den NDS gegenüber, denn ich vermisse zwei wesentliche Begriffe: §130 und §140 StGb.
Lieber Herr Berger, fehlt da am Ende nicht ein Stück Text? Z.B. der Art “…. Aufgrund der geradezu Spiegelung des Falles Ukraine/Russland, wobei der Begriff das Angriffskrieg in diesem Falle sogar noch klarer ist, haben wir über unsere Rechtsabteilung Strafanzeige nach §130 und §140 gestellt, genau wie dies auch Friedensaktivisten im umgekehrten Fall passierte. Die Anzeigen sind gegen alle gerichtet bzw. einzeln ausgestellt , die wir dbzgl. bei leugnenden und unterstützenden Aussagen identifizieren konnten. So z.B. Klaus Hebestreit, Annalena Baerbock, Olaf Scholz, Ursula vdL, Redakteure und Autoren der MSM und Fakten Checker , wie … Etc.”
Wieso gibt es diesen Text nicht? Wieso zögern Sie und andere Alternative da eigentlich noch? Das ist eine Steilvorlage, die Sie aufgrund der stetigen Entwicklung zum Faschismus in D. so bald nicht wieder bekommen werden. Wirklich, ich verstehe das nicht. Ich bin natürlich nicht naiv. Klar wird man damit keinen Erfolg haben, aber die Ablehnung wird eben auch ein weiterer Beweis dafür sein, dass D. kein Rechtsstaat ist bzw. ist es eine Chance diese Heuchler vorzuführen. Oder….ja oder es wird sogar vom Gericht richtig und unabhängig als Straftat bewertet. So oder so können Sie nur gewinnen.
Worauf warten Sie eigentlich noch?
Ganz ehrlich? Aufgrund der Einseitigkeit und Klarheit, stellt sich mir so ganz langsam die Frage, ob die sog. Alternativen wirklich so alternativ sind oder vielleicht doch unter einer “false flag” als Honigtopf fungieren. Ich hoffe inständig, dass ich mich irre.

Lieber Herr Berger,
Sie beschreiben korrekt, wie die USA, UK und implizit Deutschland sich nicht an das Völkerrecht halten, was die „Präzisionsschläge“ auf Stellungen der Huthi-Rebellen in Jemen betrifft.
Meine konstruktive Kritik: zwar haben Sie recht, wenn das „Völkerrecht“ verlange, zuerst ein Mandat des UN-Sicherheitsrats zu erwirken. Jedoch ist mit Blick auf russisches und chinesisches Veto-Recht ein solches Mandat geopolitisch vollkommen unrealistisch – und hätten Sie dies nicht in Ihrer Analyse erwähnen können?
Ergäbe sich aus einer politisch realistischen Einschätzung des „Völkerrechts“ (kein UN-Mandat politisch möglich) dann nicht auch zwingend eine anschließende Folgerung:
Wenn nämlich
ein UN-Mandat mit Blick auf das Veto-Recht unrealistisch ist und
dem Aggressor, der explizit einen Staat auslöschen will und hierzu auch bereits kriegerische Maßnahmen über seine Proxys begonnen hat + dem seinerseits das Völkerrecht vollständig gleichgültig ist (Iran), weil er eben über zahlreiche Proxy-Terroristen-Organisationen seine Auslöschungs-Ziele gegenüber einem anderen Staat (Israel) verfolgt
ist dann nicht der Elefant im Raum der Nachdenkseiten so zu beschreiben:
Wie soll sich der Ziel-Staat der geplanten Auslöschung verhalten? Was ist Ihr Lösungsvorschlag? Das bleibt in Ihrem Artikel offen.
Permanent beschrieben wird in den NDS lediglich die Unverhältnismäßigkeit der israelischen Angriffe auf Gaza und das Credo “Israel hat kein Recht auf Selbstverteidigung” .
Konkret, betreffend Israel versus Iran: würden Sie Israel dann Nichts-Tun empfehlen und dem Iran und seinen Proxys freie Hand lassen? Da Sie bzw. die NDS in allen Artikeln seit dem 7. Oktober dazu gar nichts sagen lassen, ist eine solche Frage gerechtfertigt.
Ich hätte mir eine Auseinandersetzung mit dieser offensichtlichen Frage auch in Ihrem Beitrag gewünscht.
Dies ist eine völkerrechtliche Ebene, wenn Sie et al. nur auf das Völkerrecht abstellen wollen: darf der Angegriffene und mit Auslöschung bedrohte (hier: Israel) seinerseits das Völkerrecht missachten, um seiner geplanten Auslöschung zu begegnen? Dieser Diskurs fehlt nicht nur in Ihrem Artikel, sondern leider auch bei allen anderen Autoren, denen die Nachdenkseiten seit dem 7. Oktober Raum gewährt haben.
These: ist nicht das Völkerrecht, dem Sie einseitig Israel unterwerfen wollen, den Aggressor aber ausdrücklich nicht (!), leider in der Staatenpraxis beinahe schon irrelevant geworden, nicht nur durch die illegalen Hegemonial-Kriege der USA aus den letzten Jahrzehnten; sondern eben auch durch die völkerrechtswidrigen Aggressionen und Ziele des Iran mitsamt seinen Proxys Hamas, Hisbollah u.v.a.?
Als ansonsten seit Jahren begeisterter Leser der Nachdenkseiten kann ich hierzu leider keine wesentliche Erhellung in den Nachdenkseiten erkennen, und ich weiß, dass Herr Müller mir aus diesem Grunde nicht mehr wohlgesonnen ist. Das Thema als solches aber, wird in den NDS konsequent nicht diskutiert.

Die Beamtin gab an, diese den Flammen eines Kamin übereignet zu haben , weil sie sie monatelang nicht bearbeitet hatte. Sie habe in reiner Panik gehandelt, erklärte die Sachbearbeiterin am Freitag stockend und unter Tränen während des Untersuchungsausschusses des Schweriner Landtags.
Die Beamtin beteuert, dass niemand Einfluss auf sie genommen, um die Steuererklärung der Stiftung zu verbrennen. „Damals beherrschten mich Angst und Panik“, beteuert die Zeugin im sogenannten “Kamin-Gate”.

Die Nord Stream 2 AG, ein Tochterunternehmen des russischen Staatskonzerns Gazprom, war mit rund 20 Millionen Euro größter Geldgeber der Stiftung. Der Untersuchungsausschuss soll klären, wie groß der Einfluss der russischen Geldgeber auf die damalige SPD/CDU-Landesregierung bei der Stiftungsgründung war.
Einem Bericht des Magazins „Cicero“ zufolge habe wahrscheinlich politischen Druck auf die Behörden gegeben, schrieb das Magazin „Cicero“ . Die SPD-Schranze Manuela Schwesig wies eine Einflussnahme vonseiten der Politik selbstredend zurück.
Interessant: Ein Strafverfahren gegen die Beamtin wurde im Herbst 2022 gegen eine Geldauflage eingestellt.

So even as they get increasingly desperate with the accelerated imperial plunge into a geopolitical and geoeconomic abyss, they’re frantically changing the narrative – a domain in which they excel.
And that explains why discombobulated European vassals in NATO-controlled EU are now in total panic.
Davos this week offered bucketloads of Orwellian salad. The key, frantic messages: War is peace. Ukraine is not (italics mine) losing and Russia is not winning. Hence Ukraine needs way more weaponizing.
Yet even Norwegian Wood Stoltenberg was told to toe the new line that matters: “NATO is not moving into Asia. It’s China that is coming close to us.” That certainly adds a new wacky meaning to the notion of moving tectonic plates.
Keep the Forever Wars engine running
There is a total void of “leadership” in Washington. There is no “Biden”. Just Team Biden: a corporate combo featuring low-rent messengers such as de facto neocon Little Blinkie. They do what they’re told by wealthy “donors” and the financial-military interests that really run the show, reciting the same old cliché-saturated lines day after day, bit players in a Theatre of the Absurd.
Only one exhibit suffices.
Reporter: “Are the airstrikes in Yemen working?”
The President of the United States: “Well, when you say working, are they stopping the Houthis? No. Are they gonna continue? Yes.”
The same in what passes for “strategic thinking” applies to Ukraine.
The Hegemon is not being lured into fighting in West Asia – as much as the genocidal arrangement in Tel Aviv, in tandem with US Zio-cons, wants to drag it into a war on Iran.
Still, the imperial machine is being steered to keep the Forever Wars engine running, non-stop, at varying speeds.
The elites in charge are way more clinical than the whole Team Biden. They know they will not win in what will soon be country 404. But the tactical victory, so far, is massive: enormous profits out of the frantic weaponizing; totally gutting European industry and sovereignty; reducing the EU to the sub-status of a lowly vassal; and from now on plenty of time to find new proxy warriors against Russia – from Polish and Baltic fanatics to the whole Takfiri-neo ISIS galaxy.
From Plato to NATO, it may be too early to state it’s all over for the West. What is nearly over is the current battle, centered on country 404. As Andrei Martyanov himself stresses, it was up to Russia, once again, “to start dismantling what today has become the house of demons and horror in the West and by the West, and she is doing it again in a Russian way – by defeating it on the battlefield.”
Yet the war is far from over. As Davos once again made it quite clear, they will not give up.
Chinese wisdom rules that, “when you want to hit a man with an arrow, first hit his horse. When you want to capture all the bandits, first capture their chief.”
The “chief” – or chiefs – certainly are far from being captured. BRICS+ and de-dollarization may have a shot at it, starting this year.
The plutocratic endgame
Under this framework, even massive US-Ukraine corruption involving rings and rings of theft from lavish US “aid”, as recently revealed by former Ukrainian MP Andrey Derkach, is a mere detail.
Nothing has been done or will be done about it. After all, the Pentagon itself fails every audit. These audits, by the way, did not even include the income from the massive multi-billion dollar heroin operation in Afghanistan – with Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo set up as the distribution center for Europe. The profits were pocketed by US intel operatives off the books.

It’s impossible to describe all these Empire-centric concentric rings of corruption and institutionalized organized crime to a brainwashed collective West. The Chinese, once again, to the rescue. Taoist Zhuangzi (369 – 286 B.C.): “You can’t talk about the ocean to a frog living in a well, you can’t describe ice to a summer midge, and you can’t reason with an ignoramus.”
NATO’s cosmic humiliation in Ukraine notwithstanding, this proxy war against Russia, against Europe and against China remains the fuse that could light up a WWIII before the end of this decade. Who will decide it is an extremely rarefied plutocracy. No, not Davos: these are only their clownish mouthpieces.
Russia has reactivated a military factory system at lightning speed – now standing at about 15 times the capacity of January 2022. Along the front line there are about 300,000 troops, plus in the back two pincer armies of hundreds of thousands of mobile troops in each pincer being prepared to create a double envelopment of the Ukrainian Army and annihilate it.
Even if country 404 is utterly defeated in 2024, once again it’s imperative to stress it: this is far from over. The leadership in Beijing fully understands that the Hegemon is such a disintegrating wreck, on the way to secession, that the only way to hold it together would be a world war. Tell me: is there a fairer grandmotherly face than this in all of Western Civ? Does it not seem to radiate eons of aggregate wisdom, maternal kindness, bountiful nurture, caring, and healing, and even a hint of fun in the nursury. . . the rectified essence of Teutonic beauty, fertility, vitality, and virtue. . . the loving smile of the life-giver caressing humanity like a spring zephyr wafting through the piney Schwarzwald on a June morning?
That is exactly why Ursula von der Leyen was (s)elected President of the European Commission, and why she was sent out to front the World Economic Forum (WEF) this week in her keynote speech to the assembled global grandees of Davos in the dead chill of January. It’s one thing when a cadaverous goblin such as Yuval Noah Harari tells you to eat bugs, and quite another thing when Oma Ursula tells you Keine Sorge, Kinder. Alles ist gut.
Ursula did offer us children-of-the-world one wee note of caution, though, as every good “grammy” might give to the global kindergarten: watch out for misinformation and disinformation on the internet! Like the evil imps of the Germanic Märchen, these wicked forces lurk and propagate on the internet — waiting to dash all of the WEF’s benevolent plans for our utopian future. That’s why, she explained, the European Commission has drawn up the Digital Services Act — because misinfo and disinfo can fluoresce into hate speech, the most dangerous thing in the world. It must be stomped out! Ground into the dirt under a boot heel!
Misinfo and disinfo about what, exactly? Ursula omitted to specify, but we can guess, can’t we? For instance, about how more and more every year the WEF seems to operate like a global racketeering operation, seeking the levers of control in all the naughtiest sovereign nations of the earth overpopulated with “useless eaters” who are remorselessly busy wrecking the climate to enjoy, say, in the case of the USA, their loathsome motor-sports, mega-churches, gun shows, hot-tubs, and Golden Corral All-You-Can-Eat buffets! The WEF, a racket? A cabal of haughty control freaks? What a hateful thing to say, after everything kindly onkel Schwabenklaus has done for mankind! It hurts our feelings to hear this!
Yet, why do scores of billionaires flock to the yearly Davos meet-up and coordinate their funding streams into countless NGOs and shadowy activist organizations aimed at manipulating the activities of governments around the world? I assure you it’s hardly for the fabulous hors d’oeuvre platters or the even more fabulous on-call hookers. (The nabobs of finance must be satisfied with the services of their personal chefs and masseuses.) Ursula says the WEF notables meet annually “because our democracies and our businesses have interests that align: creating prosperity, wealth and security for people, creating a stable environment to unlock innovation and investment, and creating equal opportunity and freedom.”
I have some disappointing news for you: grandmother Ursula is lying (alas, we live in time of epic disappointments). If the WEF wanted “stability” you would not see Alex (and papa George) Soros pouring money into every county DA election from Maine to California to make sure that looting, car-jacking, and mayhem go unpunished. . . or that men of military age from every failed state on the planet get flown across the oceans to NGO-supported waystations in Central America so that the cartels of Mexico can take over the final leg of their illegal entry into the USA. . . or ditto the boats ferrying Africans and Arabs across the Mediterranean to overwhelm the societies of Europe — including especially Grammy Ursula’s Germany.
The last thing the WEF she fronts for cares about is this airy-fairy freedom thing. Ditto equal opportunity. They want all the goodies for themselves and they want the rest of us to quit cluttering up their world. And they mean to get you out of here, for-real. The Covid-19 operation, so advantageous to their Great Reset plan, has resulted in billions of people subjected to very sketchy “vaccines.” The record indicates a shocking, abnormal, sustained rise, since 2021, when the “vaccines” were introduced, of all-causes deaths. That was just the overture of the Next Big Thing.
This week, the WEF and its subaltern org, the WHO, amped up warnings about the coming “Disease X.” This, they say, will be much worse than the namby-pamby Covid-19, which mostly led to people’s deaths by iatrogenic medical maltreatment with respirators, remdesivir, and opiates — and the relentless suppression of actual effective treatments. (All talk of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine on the Internet was deemed “disinfo.”)
If such a thing as “Disease X” does arise in the weeks and months ahead, this is what it will actually be: a cover-story for all the previously mRNA-vaccinated people with damaged immune systems getting fatally ill from a new mutation of Covid. Eminent virologists are predicting exactly this. (Misinformation, you think?) Wait for it and find out.

It’s no secret that politics in the United States is growing increasingly acrimonious — to the point that a 2022 poll found 43% of Americans think a civil war is a least somewhat likely in the next decade.
But here’s what few people realize: The intensity of our division springs from a federal government operating far beyond the limits of the Constitution — fueling a fight for control over powers that were never supposed to exist at the national level.
To put it another way, if the federal government were confined to its actual granted authorities, federal elections would be of little interest to the general public, because the outcome would be largely irrelevant to their everyday lives.
America’s founders drafted the Constitution with great trepidation. They therefore set out to create a federal government to which the states delegated only certain limited powers, with all other subjects of governance reserved to the states.
Those powers — only 18 of them — are listed, one by one, in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution. They include such things as the power to raise armies, maintain a navy, declare war, borrow money, coin money, establish punishments for counterfeiters and pirates, set standards of weights and measures, secure patents and establish post offices.
Reassuring those who were considering the enormously consequential decision of whether to ratify the Constitution, James Madison wrote,
“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. [Federal powers] will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce…The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects, which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties and properties of the people.”
To win over those would-be ratifiers who still feared the proposed federal government would undercut state sovereignty and infringe individual liberties, ten amendments were drafted — the Bill of Rights. The 10th Amendment codified Madison’s previous assurance about the division of authorities between the federal and state governments:
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
We arrive then at a hard fact: Today’s sprawling federal government, which involves itself in almost every aspect of daily American life, is almost entirely unconstitutional.
To rattle off just a random fistful of the federal government’s unauthorized undertakings and entities — brace yourself — there is zero constitutional authority for the Social Security, Medicare, federal drug prohibitions, the Small Business Administration, crop subsidies, the Department of Labor, automotive fuel efficiency standards, climate regulations, the Federal Reserve, union regulation, housing subsidies, the Department of Agriculture, workplace regulations, the Department of Education, federal student loans, the Food and Drug Administration, food stamps, unemployment insurance or light bulb regulations. Even that sampling doesn’t begin to fully account for the scope of the unsanctioned activity.
Don’t let your affinity for any of those enterprises short-circuit your intellectual honesty: Even if you view some of them as benign, that doesn’t render them constitutional. And if you’ve ever invoked the Constitution to spotlight a different kind of government overreach, it would be hypocritical to nod approvingly when it’s violated in ways where you deem the result beneficial.
So how did we get to this place where the intended relationship between federal and state powers has been completely inverted — with a federal government wielding powers that are now “numerous and indefinite” rather than being “few and defined”?
Much of the current state of affairs has been driven by the Supreme Court’s extreme and expansive interpretations of certain clauses of the Constitution. Among the most significant are the General Welfare and Commerce clauses.
The General Welfare Clause, found at the start of Article 1, Section 8, says:
The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States…

The clause’s language was copied from the Articles of Confederation, where, as Madison explained, “it was always understood as nothing more than a general caption to the specified powers.” Indeed, he said, it was copied for the very reason that its prior use and understanding would hopefully minimize the risk of it being misinterpreted as a grant of power.
It flies in the face of reason that the drafters of the Constitution would take pains to carefully list the Congress’s specific authorities, yet simultaneously say Congress could also do anything it thinks generally beneficial.
Countering those who sought to interpret the clause that way, Thomas Jefferson wrote, “To consider the…phrase…as giving a distinct and independent power to do any act they please, which might be for the good of the Union, would render all the preceding and subsequent enumerations of power completely useless.”
Clearly, based on context and history, those two words, general welfare, do not bestow an authority. Indeed, they’re present to limit an authority — the power to tax and spend.
The forces seeking to reshape the federal government by exploiting those two words were held at bay, but only for so long. In 1937, the Supreme Court used the imaginatively expansive interpretation of the General Welfare Clause to turn back a constitutional challenge to the Social Security Act — and to set a precedent that would fundamentally change the nature of our federal government.
