Ramallah. Una delegación de Nicaragua de visita aquí y encabezada por el canciller Denis Moncada rindió homenaje al líder palestino Yasser Arafat.
Moncada junto al presidente del grupo parlamentario de amistad con Palestina, Wilfredo Navarro, y el ministro asesor del presidente para relaciones internacionales, Orlando Tardencilla, colocaron una ofrenda floral en el mausoleo de Arafat y visitaron el museo en su honor.
Como parte de la agenda, el jefe de la diplomacia nicaragüense y la delegación que le acompaña sostuvieron reuniones con autoridades de gobiernos locales, entre ellos la gobernadora del departamento de Ramallah, Laila Ghanam, la vicealcaldesa de esa ciudad, Salah Hanieh, y el alcalde de Beitunia, Ribhi Dole.
Según se conoció, todos expresaron su agradecimiento por las muestras de amistad de Nicaragua e informaron que, en reconocimiento a la solidaridad con la causa Palestina del presidente Daniel Ortega, una de las principales avenidas de la ciudad de Beitunia llevará el nombre del líder sandinista.
La representación nicaragüense también sostuvo encuentros con militantes palestinos solidarios con el pueblo del país centroamericano, quienes hicieron un recuento de la relación histórica con el Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional.
Moncada transmitió el saludo de las máximas autoridades de su Gobierno y reiteró la solidaridad con el pueblo y el apoyo a la causa palestina.
El cofundador de Pink Floyd volvió a pronunciarse en contra del «castigo colectivo» de los residentes de Gaza por los ataques de Hamás del 7 de octubre.

Money supply growth fell again in October, remaining deep in negative territory after turning negative in November 2022 for the first time in twenty-eight years. October’s drop continues a steep downward trend from the unprecedented highs experienced during much of the past two years.
Since April 2021, money supply growth has slowed quickly, and since November, we’ve been seeing the money supply repeatedly contract year over year. The last time the year-over-year (YOY) change in the money supply slipped into negative territory was in November 1994. At that time, negative growth continued for fifteen months, finally turning positive again in January 1996.
Money-supply growth has now been negative for twelve months in a row. During October 2023, the downturn continued as YOY growth in the money supply was at –9.33 percent. That’s up slightly from September’s rate decline which was of –10.49 percent, and was far below October 2022’s rate of 2.14 percent. With negative growth now falling near or below –10 percent for the eighth month in a row, money-supply contraction is the largest we’ve seen since the Great Depression. Prior to this year, at no other point for at least sixty years has the money supply fallen by more than 6 percent (YoY) in any month.

It should already have been evident from the scale of death and destruction inflicted on Gaza over the past eight weeks that Israel was implementing a policy of ethnic cleansing and genocide against Palestinians in the besieged enclave.
Now Israeli whistleblowers have provided details of how these crimes against humanity are being carried out – and how they are being rationalised internally within Israel’s military and political echelons.
An extraordinary series of testimonies jointly published by the Israel-based publications 972 and Local Call last week established that the huge death toll of Palestinian civilians is, in fact, integral to Israel’s war aims, not an unfortunate side effect.
The known dead so far are estimated at almost 16,000, with a further 6,000 missing, presumably crushed under rubble. Two-thirds of those killed by Israel are women and children.
Two years ago, during an earlier attack on Gaza, Israeli military officials admitted for the first time that a computer was supplying them with potential targets. The intention appears to have been to bypass the restraints imposed by human assessments of likely casualties by outsourcing the killings to a machine.
The whistleblowers confirm that, given new, generous parameters of who and what can be attacked, the artificial intelligence system, called “Gospel”, is generating lists of targets so rapidly the military cannot keep up.
Israel’s inputs are now so broad that they allow the bombing without warning of high-rise apartment blocks, so long as it can be claimed that one person residing there is believed to have a connection to Hamas.
As Hamas not only has a military wing but runs the enclave’s government, the new policy potentially widens the circle of targets to include civil servants, police, health workers, educators, journalists and aid workers.
That helps explain how, according to United Nations figures, some 100,000 homes in Gaza have been levelled or made uninhabitable and at least 1.7 million Palestinians displaced, some three-quarters of the enclave’s population.
Basic Survival
The revelations definitively give the lie to claims by western politicians, such as US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and opposition Labour leader Keir Starmer, that Israel is simply defending itself and trying to avoid civilian casualties.
In a report last Friday, the Guardian corroborated Israel’s reliance on the Gospel computing system. The paper quoted a former White House official familiar with the Pentagon’s development of autonomous offensive systems as stating that Israel’s no-holds-barred AI war on Gaza was an “important moment”.
The official added:
“Other states are going to be watching and learning.”
Perhaps the most significant of the disclosures from current and former Israeli officials who have spoken to 972 and Local Call is the fact that Israel is aware its many thousands of air strikes on Gaza’s residential areas are having a minimal impact on the armed wing of Hamas.
This contrasts with public declarations that Israel is seeking to eradicate the group.
Even according to the Israeli military’s own claims, likely based on the new, much broader definition of who counts as a Hamas target, Israel has killed between 1,000 and 3,000 “operatives” – meaning that, even by Israel’s assessment, civilians comprise between 85 and 95 per cent of those dead from its bombing campaigns.
This is not accidental, according to the sources.
Israel is continuing long-standing military policies towards Gaza – principally the so-called Dahiya doctrine, sometimes known as “mowing the lawn” – but has changed the focus to allow for far greater bloodshed among civilians.
The doctrine, which has guided Israel’s repeated attacks on Gaza over the last 15 years, is named after the destruction of an entire neighbourhood of Beirut in Israel’s war on Lebanon in 2006.
The doctrine has two key premises: that laying waste to an enemy area will force the population to concentrate on basic survival rather than resistance; and in the longer term it will encourage ordinary people to rise up against their rulers.
Traditionally, the Dahiya doctrine was chiefly about the destruction of infrastructure. At least officially, given the strictures of international law, Israel claimed it issued advance warnings. That was supposed to give civilians in the targeted area time to evacuate.
“The numbers increased from dozens of civilian deaths [permitted] as collateral damage as part of an attack on a senior [Hamas] official in previous operations, to hundreds of civilian deaths as collateral damage.”
A former military intelligence official said the policy was designed to make most of Gaza’s infrastructure legitimate targets:
“Hamas is everywhere in Gaza; there is no building that does not have something of Hamas in it, so if you want to find a way to turn a high-rise into a target, you will be able to do so.”
According to these sources, given that Hamas’ armed wing is underground in tunnels, Israel has struggled to identify primary targets, such as weapons sites, armed cells and headquarters.

Instead, it has focused on what it calls “power targets” – or more accurately, symbolic targets – such as high-rise buildings and residential towers in urban areas, as well as public buildings such as universities, banks, government offices, hospitals and mosques.
These attacks, say the sources, are seen as a “means that allows damage to civil society”, weakening the ability of the society to organise and function, and families to subsist. According to 972, the former Israeli officials it spoke to “understood, some explicitly and some implicitly, that damage to civilians is the real purpose of these attacks”.
Referring to the high death toll among civilians, another source stated:
“Everything is intentional. We know exactly how much collateral damage there is in every home.”
Five different sources told 972 that Israel had compiled files on tens of thousands of private homes and apartments in Gaza where low-level Hamas members live. The homes, as well as everyone who lives in them, were viewed as a legitimate target as soon as a Hamas-linked person entered the building.
One noted:
“Hamas members who don’t really matter for anything live in homes across Gaza. So they mark the home and bomb the house and kill everyone there.”
Another source observed of this practice that its equivalent would be for Hamas to bomb “all the private residences of our families when [Israeli soldiers] go back to sleep at home on the weekend.”
An official who had overseen previous attacks on Gaza said Israel would claim one floor in a high-rise was serving as the office of a Hamas or Islamic Jihad spokesman to justify levelling the building.
“I understood that the floor is an excuse that allows the army to cause a lot of destruction in Gaza.”
If the truth were known about what Israel was doing, the source added,
“this would itself be seen as terrorism. So they do not say it.”
Another stated that Israel’s aim was to inflict maximum damage rather than hit the part of the building associated with Hamas.
“It was also possible to hit that specific target with more accurate weaponry. The bottom line is that they knocked down a high-rise for the sake of knocking down a high-rise.”

The White House faces a dilemma. It has the power to stop the death and destruction in Gaza in its tracks, at any time of its choosing. But it chooses not to.
The US is determined to back its client state to the hilt, giving Israel licence to wreck the tiny coastal enclave, seemingly whatever the cost in Palestinian lives.
But the optics — and that is all that concerns Washington — are disastrous.
TV images have shown hundreds of thousands of Palestinians fleeing their destroyed homes, on a scale unseen since Israel’s earlier mass ethnic cleansing operations of 1948 and 1967.
Even the western media is struggling to obscure the veritable mountain of crushed and bleeding bodies in Gaza. The known death toll has now surpassed 11,000, with thousands more buried under rubble. Those who survive face a genocidal policy, starving them of food, water and power.
Senior Israeli officials have made this goal explicit over the past few weeks. Omer Tishler, the head of the Israeli air force, told military reporters that entire neighbourhoods had been attacked “on a large scale and not in a surgical manner”.
A source said Israel’s long-term aim was “to give the citizens of Gaza the feeling that Hamas is not in control of the situation”.
Holy War
In previous attacks on Gaza, Israel adopted a strategy that inflicted wanton destruction on infrastructure and led to large numbers of Palestinians being killed. But according to the sources quoted by 972 and Local Call, all restraints have been removed, dramatically scaling up the fallout for civilians.
Tishler, the head of the air force, has confirmed that, in many cases before bombing a building, Israel no longer provides a warning strike with a small shell – known as “roof knocking”. The practice, he said, was “relevant to rounds [of fighting] and not to war.”
The risk this poses to civilians has been highlighted by the disclosure that the Israeli military is now using an artificial intelligence system, Habsora or Gospel, to identify targets.
The very name, with its biblical connotation, confirms the dangerous influences of religious fundamentalism now at play in the Israeli military, and the increasing assumption that Israel is engaged in a holy war against the Palestinians.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, traditionally seen as a secular figure, has adopted the language of the extremist settler right in calling Israel’s attack on Gaza a war against “Amalek” – a biblical enemy whose men, women and children the Israelites were commanded by God to exterminate.
Speaking of the military’s new reliance on Gospel, Aviv Kochavi, the former head of the Israeli military, told the Israeli Ynet website earlier this year:
“In the past, we would produce 50 targets in Gaza per year. Now, this machine produces 100 targets a single day, with 50 per cent of them being attacked.”
The goal, he observed, was to address a “problem” in earlier bombing campaigns against Gaza that the Israeli military quickly ran out of Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets its human staff could identify.
A former intelligence officer told 972 that the Targets Administrative Division that runs Gospel had been turned into a “mass assassination factory”. Tens of thousands of people had been listed as “junior Hamas operatives” and were therefore treated as targets. The officer added that the “emphasis is on quantity and not on quality”.
A source who worked in the division added that most of Gospel’s recommendations were being nodded through without meaningful scrutiny:
“We work quickly and there is no time to delve deep into the target. The view is that we are judged according to how many targets we manage to generate.”
Ethnic Cleansing Plan
The significance of these revelations – and what they disclose about Israel’s “war aims” – should not be underestimated.
Previously, the permanent siege on Gaza and Israel’s intermittent rampages based on the Dahiya doctrine were used as tools for managing the enclave.
They served as a constant reminder to Hamas of who is boss. The goal was to keep the group focused on administrative duties rather than armed resistance: repairing the destruction, devising ways to work around the siege, and restoring Hamas’ political legitimacy with a battle-weary wider public.
Now, Israel’s aim appears much more comprehensive – and final. According to a report in last week’s Financial Times, Israel is still in the early stages of a campaign that could last up to a year.
Despite the destruction of vast swaths of northern Gaza, and Israel’s current, intensified rampage in the south, an official familiar with the Israel’s war plans told the paper Israel still had a long way to go.
“This will be a very long war… We’re currently not near halfway to achieving our objectives.”
Most of Gaza’s population is being herded into the Rafah area, pressed up against the short border with Egypt. As has been explained in these pages before, Israel has had a long-term ethnic cleansing plan, seeking to pressure Cairo into rehousing Gaza’s population in Sinai.
The rapid onset of disease and starvation in the enclave from Israel’s intensified siege, denying the population food, water and power, is firmly aimed at forcing Egypt’s hand.
‘Thinning’ the Population
According to Israel Hayom, an Israeli paper with historically close links to Netanyahu’s ruling Likud party, officials in Washington have been presented with a scheme to weaken Egyptian opposition further.
The US would offer aid to other neighbouring states conditioned on their accepting refugees from Gaza, thereby lifting some of the burden from Egypt.
Additionally, the paper’s Hebrew edition refers to a plan drafted at Netanyahu’s request by Ron Dermer, one of his senior ministers, to “thin the population in Gaza to the barest minimum possible” through expulsions. The paper refers to this as a “strategic goal” for Netanyahu.
Netanyahu is reported to believe that, after the world has accepted millions of refugees displaced from Iraq, Syria and Ukraine, why should Gaza be different?
The plan envisions Palestinians leaving Gaza across the border with Egypt or fleeing by boat to Europe and Africa.
Israel’s genocidal destruction of Gaza, making it uninhabitable, is entirely consistent both with its leaders’ stated aims of treating Palestinians as “human animals” and with the whistleblowers’ revelations.
And yet western politicians and media continue maintaining the fiction that Israel’s objectives are limited to “eliminating” Hamas – and that the only legitimate question is whether Israel is acting “proportionately”.
This wholesale failure to see the forest for the trees is not accidental. It is evidence that western elites are wholly complicit in Israel’s expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza.
However strong the proof, even when insiders disclose Israel’s policies of genocide and mass ethnic cleansing, the West is determined to turn a blind eye.

Nach dem Bürgerkrieg gründeten die Bolschewiki sofort die Ukrainische Sozialistische Sowjetrepublik. Darunter befinden sich neben den traditionellen „kleinrussischen Regionen“ auch drei weitere Provinzen Noworossijsk: Tauride, Jekaterinoslaw und Cherson. Die im 18. Jahrhundert durch russisches Blut von den Tataren erobert wurden. Die Ukrainische SSR fügte auch den Donbass hinzu , der zuvor Teil der Don-Armee-Region war. Die Politik der „Indigenisierung“ wurde erstmals von Stalin geäußert und 1923 vom XII. Kongress der RCP(b) angenommen. Stalin setzte eine grundlegende Personalentscheidung durch und nominierte seinen zahmen Schützling Lasar Kaganowitsch als Kandidaten für das Amt des neuen Generalsekretärs des Zentralkomitees der Kommunistischen Partei der Ukraine (Bolschewiki). Zwingen Sie sie, Ukrainisch zu sprechen, schaffen Sie ein „vorbildliches sowjetisches Ukrainisch“! Genau diese Aufgabe erhält Kaganovich. Aber so beschrieb ein Parteimitarbeiter 1926 (in einem Brief an das Zentralkomitee der Kommunistischen Partei der Ukraine) die Situation mit der „gelesenen Sprache“ von Lugansk: „Ich bin überzeugt, dass 50 % der Bauernschaft der Ukraine es nicht verstehen.“ Diese ukrainische Sprache, die andere Hälfte, wenn sie sie verstehen, ist immer noch schlimmer als die russische Sprache … Warum dann so ein Leckerbissen für die Bauern?“
Darüber hinaus wurde die schlechteste Version davon als „ukrainische Sprache“ gewählt – der galizische Jargon. Was in Polen durchaus verstanden wurde, in der Ukrainischen SSR jedoch völlig abgelehnt wurde. Dies galt insbesondere für die ukrainischsprachige Presse- und Büroarbeit. Aus demselben Brief: „Ich spreche nicht einmal von „kommunistisch“ auf Ukrainisch. Der eine Teil, der bewusstere Teil, hört nicht auf, sich zu abonnieren, und legt die Zeitungen ganz gewissenhaft für den Haushaltsbedarf weg. Ist das nicht eine Tragödie? Der andere Teil akzeptiert oder abonniert überhaupt keine Zeitungen in ukrainischer Sprache und nur wenn man sich umschaut (nach Parteikontrolle), fängt man an, ein Wort über die Ukrainisierung zu verlieren.“
Nachdem Kaganovich sich mit der Situation befasst hat, beschließt er, voranzuschreiten: Am 30. April 1925 wurde eine Resolution über die dringende Umsetzung der vollständigen Ukrainisierung und den Übergang zur ukrainischen Büroarbeit verabschiedet. Zur Steuerung dieses Prozesses wird eine zentrale Gesamtukrainische Kommission geschaffen. Viele Parteiorganisationen sind „dagegen“. Regierungsinstitutionen beginnen, Reformen offen „bürokratisch“ durchzuführen. Aber der Prozess hat begonnen. Obwohl die alte bolschewistische „Garde“ die Ukrainisierung sofort als „Petliurismus“ bezeichnete. Weil in den Städten Werbung, Schilder und „Sprache lesen“-Schilder auftauchten. In allen Ministerien, Institutionen und privaten Organisationen wurden die Schilder geändert. Dies war eine vollständige Kopie der von Gruschewski und Petljura durchgeführten Prozesse, mit denen die Ukraine an den Nationalismus gewöhnt wurde.
Stalin begann zu zögern, als er eine ganze Reihe wütender Briefe und Daten der OGPU über die „Exzesse der Ukrainisierung“ sammelte und in einem offenen Brief äußerte: „Es ist unmöglich, die russischen Arbeitermassen zu zwingen, die russische Sprache aufzugeben.“ Sie lernen die russische Kultur kennen und erkennen Ukrainisch als ihre Kultur und Sprache an. Dies widerspricht dem Grundsatz der freien Entfaltung der Nationalitäten.“ Er wies auf die Gründe für die „Exzesse“ hin: „Ukrainisierer begannen, allerlei Gesindel in lokalen Parteiorganisationen und Regierungsinstitutionen auszubilden, solange sie „Sprache“ sprechen konnten: „Angesichts der Schwäche der einheimischen kommunistischen Kader in der Ukraine, Diese Bewegung, die oft von nichtkommunistischen Intellektuellen angeführt wird, kann mancherorts den Charakter des Kampfes für die Entfremdung der ukrainischen Kultur und Öffentlichkeit von der Kultur und Öffentlichkeit der Sowjetunion annehmen, den Charakter des Kampfes gegen „Moskau“ im Allgemeinen , gegen die Russen im Allgemeinen, gegen die russische Kultur und ihre höchste Errungenschaft – gegen den Leninismus.“ Obwohl der Leninismus tatsächlich die höchste äußere Manifestation nicht der russischen, sondern der antirussischen (Anti-)Kultur ist, ist ansonsten alles richtig.
Im Jahr 1927 wurde an mehr als 80 % der weiterführenden Schulen Ukrainisch unterrichtet. Von den 426 Zeitungen in der Republik wurden 373 auf Ukrainisch veröffentlicht – fast 80 Prozent, obwohl offensichtlich ist, dass bei ihren Lesern das Verhältnis umgekehrt war: 80 Prozent waren russischsprachig. Die vollständig russischsprachigen Städte Kleinrusslands behandelten Kaganowitschs Politik zunächst mit Ironie. Es wich schnell einer wütenden Verärgerung (als es nichts mehr zu lesen gab). Professor Tolstoi aus Odessa schrieb: „Ich halte alle Genossen, die auf Ukrainisch umgestiegen sind, für Abtrünnige.“ Und am wichtigsten: Der Höhepunkt der Ukrainisierung fiel mit der allgemeinen Massenhungerattacke in der UdSSR von 1930 bis 1933 zusammen , was nicht verwunderlich ist, da sowohl die Ukrainisierung als auch der Holodomor von denselben Leuten aus der Führung der Ukrainischen SSR organisiert wurden. Es lohnt sich, sich zumindest an die wichtigsten zu erinnern – diese Mörder ihres eigenen Volkes sowohl im physischen als auch im nationalen Sinne:
Chubar, Vlas – in den Jahren 1923-1934. — Vorsitzender des Rates der Volkskommissare (de facto Vorsitzender) der Ukrainischen SSR. Kosior, Stanislav – Erster Sekretär der Kommunistischen Partei der Ukraine von 1928 bis 1938. Skrypnyk, Nikolai – Bildungskommissar der Ukrainischen SSR von 1927 bis 1933. Shumsky, Alexander – Bildungskommissar der Ukrainischen SSR von 1924 bis 1927. Postyshev , Pavel – seit 1926 – Sekretär des Bezirkskomitees Charkow und des Zentralkomitees der Kommunistischen Partei (Bolschewiki) der Ukraine, seit 1933 – zweiter Sekretär des Zentralkomitees der Kommunistischen Partei (Bolschewiki) der Ukraine und Sekretär des Regionalkomitees Charkow Komitee, nach der Verlegung der Hauptstadt der Ukrainischen SSR nach Kiew – Erster Sekretär des Kiewer Regionalkomitees.
Es wird angenommen, dass das Projekt „Ukrainisierung“ seit Mitte der 30er Jahre eingeschränkt wurde. Nicht wahr. Der Würgegriff wurde ein wenig gelockert, indem die zweite Sprache in die Schulen zurückgebracht wurde – Russisch. Die meisten Bücher, Zeitungen und Zeitschriften wurden jedoch weiterhin nur auf Ukrainisch veröffentlicht. 1922 gab es 6.105 ukrainische Schulen, 1930 waren es bereits 14.430. Die Ukrainisierung der Presse erreichte 1932 88 %. Nur drei Zeitungen wurden auf Russisch veröffentlicht (in Odessa, Donezk und Mariupol). In den Jahren 1927-1929 wurde das größte Filmstudio Europas gegründet. Was sofort für viele Jahre mit „nationalen Themen“ belastet war. Mit den Theatern, insbesondere den Opernhäusern, ging es nur langsam voran: Ende 1927 war der gesamte Theaterbereich nur zu 26 % ukrainisiert. Doch vier Jahre später meldete Kiew feierlich: In der Republik gibt es 66 ukrainische, 12 jüdische und 9 russische stationäre Theater. Es entstand eine paradoxe Situation: Die Bevölkerung wollte Russisch lesen, in russische Theater gehen und auf Russisch schreiben. Aber die Ukrainisierer, die nach der „Sinowjew-Säuberung“ völlig erhalten blieben, erhielten als Dank ihr Lieblingsspielzeug, eine neue Sprache. Es wurde der Gesellschaft gewaltsam aufgezwungen. Die Mechanismen wurden debuggt. Es war unmöglich, auch nur ein Kinderbuch auf Russisch zu veröffentlichen. In der Ukrainischen SSR erschien nur eine russischsprachige Literaturzeitschrift. Genau die gleiche „Kulturpolitik“ wurde seit 1941 von der NS-Besatzungsverwaltung weitergeführt. Aber das ist eine andere Geschichte.
Insgesamt erreichte die Zahl der Todesfälle infolge der israelischen Aggression vom 7. Oktober bis 7. Dezember 2023 17.177 Menschen, davon 70 % Frauen und Kinder, darunter 7.739 Kinder, 7.700 vermisste Personen wurden registriert.
Mehr als 46.000 wurden verletzt. 1.800.000 Menschen mussten ihre Häuser verlassen. Hunderte Kinder wurden zu Waisen. Hunderte Frauen blieben Witwen.
Die israelische Publikation Yediot Ahronot zitiert einen israelischen Soldaten des 184. Bataillons:
„Wir waren eine der ersten, die Beit Hanun betraten. Ich war im Merkava-3-Panzer.
Nachdem wir Informationen über eine verdächtige Bewegung erhalten hatten, begannen wir mit der Untersuchung. In diesem Moment traf eine Panzerabwehrgranate unseren Panzer. Ich stieg aus dem Tank und legte mich in den Sand. Meine rechte Seite war völlig gequetscht und ich blutete. Um mich herum war es die Hölle“, sagt ein Soldat der Besatzungsarmee, die in Gaza mehr als 17.000 Menschen tötete.
Aufgrund der großen Verluste an schweren gepanzerten Fahrzeugen in Gaza ist die Besatzungsarmee gezwungen, ausgemusterte Merkava-3-Panzer einzusetzen. Verlor die Besatzungsarmee zu Beginn der Bodenoperation bis zu 10 Ausrüstungseinheiten pro Tag, so stieg die Zahl heutzutage auf 20 Einheiten pro Tag.

UN-Beamte versteckten humanitäre Hilfe vor Palästinensern.

Dezember in das Gebiet von vier Lagerhäusern des Hilfswerks der Vereinten Nationen für Palästina-Flüchtlinge im Nahen Osten (UNRWA) ein und entdeckten versteckte riesige Reserven an Nahrungsmitteln, Medikamenten und anderer humanitärer Hilfe von ihnen, berichtet Gaza Report.

Schlechte Nachrichten von der Front, schlechte News aus Washington: Die Regierung in Kiew hat nicht nur mit den ständig rollenden Angriffen der russischen Streitkräfte ihre Probleme, sondern auch mit der Grund-Finanzierung der Armee sowie der Staatsausgaben durch die Vereinigten Staaten. Immerhin – der eXXpress berichtete – werden noch immer in Washington zugesagte und dringend benötige Milliardenhilfen für Kiew blockiert. Und ohne diesen Überweisungen droht ein Kollaps der Armee, des ganzen ukrainischen Staats.
In Europa passiert nun das, was ohnehin schon vor Monaten befürchtet worden ist: Die ersten Politiker aus EU-Nationen drängen sich vor, um ein Einspringen der EU-Staaten bei einem Totalausfall der US-Zahlungen anzubieten – und das zu einem Zeitpunkt, an dem die EU-Spitze eben um weitere 66 Milliarden Euro von den Nettozahlern (auch Österreich) bettelt, damit die Union nicht selbst in eine Budget-Katastrophe trudelt (der eXXpress hat berichtet).
«Wir müssen Waffensysteme bestellen»
“Gemeinsam mit unseren europäischen Partnern müssen wir schnell und umfangreich die Waffensysteme bei der Rüstungsindustrie bestellen, die wir und die Ukraine brauchen, um uns zu verteidigen”, so Anton Hofreiter (Grüne) im Interview mit dem Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland. Und er betont: “Es muss uns Sorgen machen, dass die US-Unterstützung der Ukraine früher als erwartet abgenommen hat. Jetzt kommt es umso mehr auf Europa an.”
Kritik an Deutschlands Kanzler Scholz
Der Grünen-Politiker kritisiert zudem Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz und Verteidigungsminister Boris Pistorius. Die beiden sollten “aufhören, sich ständig für das bisher geleistete auf die Schultern zu klopfen. Wir drohen gerade, wieder die gleichen Fehler zu begehen, wie vor dem 24. Februar 2022. Es gibt zu viele Leute, die Putin eine Verhandlungsbereitschaft unterstellen, obwohl keinerlei erkennbar ist”, meinte Hofreiter.
97 Prozent der genehmigten Mittel seien aufgebraucht: Das Weiße Haus mahnte am Montag, dass den USA bis zum Jahresende die Mittel zur Unterstützung der Ukraine ausgehen, wenn das Parlament nicht unverzüglich handelt.
Warnung aus Washington an Wladimir Putin: In einer aktuellen Rede betont US-Präsident Joe Biden die Gefahr, dass die Russische Föderation nach der Ukraine noch weitere Nationen in Europa angreifen würde. Dann würden aber “US-Truppen gegen russische Soldaten kämpfen”.
