CDU-Politiker: ‘Israels Sicherheit als Staatsräson’ – notfalls “mit unserem Leben verteidigen”
Roderich Kiesewetter ist “Obmann der CDU/CSU-Bundestagsfraktion im Auswärtigen Ausschuss”. In den vergangenen Wochen war der Politiker regelmäßig zu Gast in den Talk-Sendungen von ARD und ZDF, um im Rahmen seiner Funktion die demnach unbedingte – auch militärische – Solidarität mit der Ukraine seitens Deutschlands erläuternd einzufordern.
In einem Beitrag des ZDF am 15. Oktober irritiert Kiesewetter nun, in einem fließenden Übergang gleichlautender Statements, durch einen beeindruckenden Satz zum Thema “Israels Sicherheit als Staatsräson”.
Der interviewte Kiesewetter teilt dabei den ZDF-Zuschauern mit, dass Ron Prosor, israelischer Botschafter in Deutschland, “vor mehreren Fraktionen des Bundestages und dem Auswärtigen Ausschuss” erklärt habe, dass “wir uns auf schlimme Bilder einstellen müssen.” Ob diese Bilder ausgehend von der Militäroperation gegen den Gazastreifen oder durch Aktionen der Hamas entstehen könnten, wird nicht weiter dargelegt. Prosor habe zudem mitgeteilt, dass es “noch schlimmer wäre, wenn die Existenz Israels gefährdet bliebe”, so der CDU-Politiker erläuternd.
ZDF-Moderator Theo Kroll bezeichnet zu Beginn des Beitrags das Wort “Staatsräson” als “politischen Überbegriff”, der “genauso groß und aufgeladen, wie unkonkret” sei. Wenige Minuten später stellt der Beitrag die begriffsbezogene Frage, ob die aktuell medial-politisch forcierte Umsetzung einer “Staatsräson” gegenüber Israel als Begrifflichkeit in der Bedeutung “nicht zu groß” sei. Kiesewetter antwortet wörtlich in einer subjektiven Reaktion:
“Ja, das bedeutet auch, dass wir (sic) bereit sind mit unserem Leben die Sicherheit Israels zu verteidigen.”
Welche gesellschaftlichen Ebenen Kiesewetter mit der Formulierung “wir” dabei in Erwägung zieht, über potenzielle militärische Aktivitäten und Unterstützungen hinaus, wird nicht erfragt.

Les contrats d’achats de vaccins anti-COVID-19 de Pfizer-BioNtech en Europe et dans le reste du monde
Sur mandat des États membres du 18 juin 2020, au titre de l’aide d’urgence prévue par le règlement 2016/369 modifié par le règlement 2020/521 du 14 avril 2020, la Commission européenne a attribué un contrat-cadre (Advance Purchase Agreement, APA), au groupement Pfizer-BioNtech, et à plusieurs autres fournisseurs. Ce contrat, passé de gré à gré pour une durée de 24 mois, était exécuté par les États membres au moyen de Vaccine Order Forms, dont le contenu était défini dans l’annexe I de l’APA, sur lequel étaient précisés les quantités commandées et les lieux de livraison, en particulier.
Analysé en août 2021, il prévoyait l’achat de 200 millions de doses et une option pour 100 millions supplémentaires en Europe. C’est ce premier contrat qui avait fait l’objet de l’étude comparative. J’avais conclu « un contrat aussi favorable à un industriel me paraît anormal. »

La Commission européenne a ensuite attribué deux nouveaux contrats au seul groupement d’entreprises Pfizer-BioNtech, alors que le mandat explicite des États membres n’en est pas connu, en février 2021 puis en mai 2021, pour 1,8 milliards de doses. La durée et les clauses de ces deux derniers contrats, qui auraient été directement négociés, en dehors de ses attributions, par la présidente de la Commission, ne sont pas connues.
Pfizer a vendu son produit dans de nombreux pays dans le monde (même si l’Inde avait initialement demandé à Pfizer de faire des études sur des cohortes spécifiques à l’Inde) et plusieurs contrats ont été rendus publics : celui du Brésil et plus récemment, sur décision judiciaire, celui de la République sud-africaine (RSA).
Examiner ces contrats et comparer leur contenu à celui de l’APA de novembre 2020 apparaissait comme critiquement utile et dans l’intérêt citoyen.
Considérations générales
La première réaction de toute personne habituée aux contrats de la commande publique nationaux ou internationaux est que ces contrats sont rédigés de manière tout à fait dérogatoire aux règles et usages rencontrés partout dans le monde, en matière de commande publique.
Pour synthétiser simplement, il est possible de dire que :
- Un an après le début de la pandémie Covid et six mois après le début des campagnes vaccinales, le fournisseur ne connaît pas encore les effets de son produit, il ne peut pas garantir son efficacité ni son innocuité. Il s’avère que le caractère expérimental et/ou non abouti du produit concerné est clairement et ouvertement rappelé dans les trois contrats, par le fabricant ;
- Les caractéristiques et la composition du produit vendu ne sont pas indiquées, il n’y a pas de cahier des clause techniques ;
- Les États signataires prennent à leur charge l’indemnisation des victimes d’éventuels effets indésirables, ainsi que la défense de l’industriel si celui-ci est attaqué judiciairement par des victimes de son produit ;
- Les États signataires renoncent à la protection de leur système judiciaire souverain au profit d’un arbitrage de la Chambre de commerce internationale et, pour l’UE l’application du droit belge et la compétence des cours belges, pour les autres, l’application du droit de l’État de New York et la compétence des juridictions new-yorkaises.
Sur le plan matériel, les contrats du Brésil et de la RSA, signés au cours de la même période (mars 2021) sont très proches et sont articulés de façon quasi identique. Si le contrat européen de novembre 2020 semble différent sur la forme, ses stipulations sont similaires aux deux autres, sur le fond. Tout cela porte à considérer que les contrats ont été, contrairement aux bonnes pratiques générales, rédigés par le cocontractant et non par l’acheteur public.
Les clauses contractuelles
- Des contrats à quantités fixes pour répondre à un besoin par nature, mal maitrisé
Ce type de marché de fournitures est habituellement attribué avec des quantités prévues (ou non) dans une fourchette entre un minimum et un maximum d’unités qui seront commandées pendant la durée du contrat, selon l’évolution du besoin. C’est le fournisseur qui supporte le risque de l’incertitude liée au volume des commandes effectives, le marché s’exécutant par bons de commande successifs en fonction des besoins (accords-cadres, blanquet ordering agreements).
En l’espèce, ces contrats sont tous à quantités fixes, engageant les États à commander obligatoirement un volume prédéterminé et, le cas échéant, un volume supplémentaire sur avenant au contrat.
Par conséquent, l’État contractant est incité à, soit rendre la vaccination obligatoire ou bien à mettre en place des dispositifs contraignants, afin de trouver un débouché à sa commande, ou a contrario, de limiter les quantités lors de la signature du contrat. Une commande a minima serait de nature à le mettre en difficulté si, en l’absence de dispositif contraignant, les populations exprimaient une forte demande ne pouvant être satisfaite.
Concernant l’UE, celle-ci a commandé au total environ 10 doses par habitant de l’UE : la pénurie n’est donc pas une option !
- L’utilisation de l’urgence permanente
Si l’on conçoit que les APA signés en novembre et décembre 2020 pouvaient se justifier par l’urgence, ceux de mars 2021 ont déjà l’expérience d’un an de pandémie COVID.
On relève que le contrat sud-africain prétend que les phases 2 et 3 d’études sont réalisées mais que »malgré les efforts de Pfizer en recherche, développement et fabrication, le produit peut ne pas être réussi, pour des raisons de nature technique, clinique, réglementaire, de fabrication, transport, stockage ou autres défis ou échecs(1). » Donc un produit qui n’est plus expérimental, mais qui n’est pas abouti et dont son fabricant ne maîtrise pas les effets (donc un produit ni sûr, ni efficace).
Or il se trouve qu’à la date de signature de ces contrats, les produits Pfizer-BioNtech sont toujours en phase 3, la fin de celle-ci étant prévue bien plus tard : le 15 mars 2023 (adultes de plus de 12 ans, 15 mars 2023, enfants et jeunes adultes 24 mars 2024, booster, 12 avril 2024, femmes enceintes, 15 juillet 2022) alors que pour l’UE, l’EMA elle-même donne la date de décembre 2023.
Donc, un an après le début de la pandémie, il s’agit encore d’un produit expérimental dont on ne connaît toujours pas la composition détaillée et dont le fabricant lui-même reconnait explicitement que l’efficacité et l’innocuité, sont douteuses.
- Des spécifications techniques inconnues
Le fabricant s’engage dans le contrat à respecter les spécifications, mais celles-ci sont inconnues : aucun des trois contrats ne les indique. Il n’y a pas de cahier des clauses techniques, qui est pourtant une pièce contractuelle de base et essentielle dans tout marché public.
L’annexe A « spécifications » du contrat de la RSA est vide.
Le contrat(2) fait référence au respect des bonnes pratiques de fabrication qui sont les cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Regulations de la FDA US). Toutefois, ce produit est nouveau et sans précédent dans son principe de « vaccin » fondé sur une thérapie génique, on peut donc s’interroger sur l’applicabilité de cette réglementation qui s’applique aux médicaments en général.
- Les prix
On notera aussi l’éventail des prix : les deux États contractant seuls ont bénéficié d’un prix identique de 10 USD par dose.
En revanche l’UE, au nom de « unis, nous sommes plus forts », les a payées sensiblement plus cher (de 13,5 à 17,5 € pour les commandes de 2020, prix de 2021 inconnus mais a priori, plus élevés, 20 € ?), malgré un nombre considérable d’unités commandées.
La centralisation de la commande au niveau de l’UE n’a pas apporté le moindre intérêt économique auquel on aurait pu s’attendre, compte tenu du volume des commandes : en général, dans les marchés publics – et privés – le prix unitaire est inversement proportionnel aux quantités commandées, il s’agit donc d’une anomalie qui doit alerter.
Tous les contrats prévoient le paiement d’une avance, elle est de 2 USD par dose pour le Brésil et la RSA, soit respectivement 200 millions USD et 40 millions USD et de 3,5 € par dose pour l’UE, soit 700 millions d’euros. Un brillant résultat de négociation pour les fonctionnaires européens !
Comme l’écrivent les professeurs de droit M. Lahouazi et M. Chambon(3), « l’on pouvait espérer que l’implication de l’Union européenne soit de nature à peser davantage face aux opérateurs privés ». On peut facilement imaginer que chaque État membre, négociant individuellement, aurait pu obtenir des tarifs plus favorables, lorsque l’on voit ces deux exemples hors d’Europe.
Au demeurant, la même Commission avait été capable d’imposer en août 2020, dans un premier APA avec AstraZeneca, un prix coûtant sur présentation de justificatifs, aboutissant à un prix unitaire de 2,9 €. Curieusement, ce vaccin a été rapidement retiré de la circulation par l’EMA (en mars 2021) du fait de ses effets secondaires constatés, pourtant pas plus importants en nombre et en gravité que ceux de ses concurrents Pfizer et Moderna. Pfizer a ainsi obtenu une situation de quasi-monopole sur le territoire de l’UE.
Cette situation ne serait-elle pas de nature à cacher un pacte de corruption au niveau de la Commission européenne, dans la mesure où le troisième et plus important contrat, celui de mai 2021, aurait peut-être été négocié directement par la présidente de la Commission, par SMS avec le président de Pfizer ?
- Cas particulier de la TVA
Le contrat RSA précise qu’aucune TVA ne saurait être appliquée. Il n’en est pas fait mention dans l’APA européen. La TVA est nationale, chaque État a ses propres taux. En France, dans un marché public, l’administration paye toujours TTC. Si son fournisseur est établi à l’étranger, la facture est établie HT et payée HT au titulaire, l’administration liquide et paye la TVA correspondante, directement à la DGFIP. Or, la Commission a pris une première décision, à portée limité jusqu’au 31 août 2020, exonérant de TVA tous les achats liés à la pandémie Covid, puis une directive (UE) 2020/2020 du Conseil du 7 décembre 2020, « modifiant la directive 2006/112/CE en ce qui concerne des mesures temporaires relatives à la taxe sur la valeur ajoutée applicable aux vaccins contre la COVID-19 et aux dispositifs médicaux de diagnostic in vitro de cette maladie en réaction à la pandémie de COVID-19 ». Dans cette directive, il est précisé ceci :
« Dans le domaine de la taxe sur la valeur ajoutée (TVA), la Commission a pris des mesures exceptionnelles pour aider les victimes de la pandémie. Le 3 avril 2020, la Commission a adopté́ la décision (UE) 2020/491 (3) qui permet aux États membres d’exempter temporairement de la TVA et des droits à l’importation les marchandises essentielles nécessaires pour lutter contre les effets de la propagation de la COVID-19, y compris les dispositifs médicaux de diagnostic in vitro de cette maladie. »
L’utilité de ces dispositions interroge : la TVA est neutre pour l’entreprise qui la facture, car celle-ci la déduit de ses achats et reverse la différence entre TVA collectée et TVA décaissée, au trésor public. Elle est neutre aussi pour l’État, car la TVA ne fait que sortir d’un budget spécifique en dépense pour revenir en recette au budget général. Dans le cas d’un marché public, la TVA est sans incidence pour l’entreprise étrangère qui ne la facture pas. Pourquoi l’avoir prévu dans un contrat et pourquoi en UE avoir pris si rapidement une directive sur ce point précis, dans la mesure où les particuliers ne peuvent pas acheter ce produit qui est hors commerce, exclusivement distribué et administré par l’État ? On a du mal à percevoir l’utilité de cette mesure, prise dans un temps record.
- L’indemnisation
Dans les trois contrats, les effets secondaires occasionnées par le produit (dont l’existence est reconnue par le fabricant dans les contrats) sont à la charge exclusive de l’État signataire. Bien plus, en cas de contentieux judiciaire déposé par des victimes des injections à l’encontre de Pfizer ou de ses ayant-cause, leur défense et l’indemnisation des victimes doivent être intégralement prises en charge par l’État signataire. Les juristes cités plus haut ont souligné que »la clause d’indemnisation des laboratoires en cas d’engagement de leur responsabilité extracontractuelle n’est pas commune en matière administrative et pourrait être analysée comme une libéralité puisque, si l’on traverse le voile contractuel, l’Administration serait conduite à payer une somme sans cause(4) ».
Conclusion
Il serait utile de connaître le contenu des deux contrats européens de février et mai 2021, afin que le juge soit en mesure d’exercer le contrôle qui devrait être le sien en matière des clauses limitatives de responsabilité des fournisseurs de l’Administration. La Commission s’y refuse obstinément(5), au nom de la protection de la vie privée et des intérêts commerciaux, déniant un intérêt public supérieur à en connaître. Il est plus que probable que ce contenu soit identique à ces deux contrats contemporains, mais avec un prix unitaire sensiblement plus élevé malgré l’importance de la commande.
Pour conclure, il est possible d’affirmer que ces contrats sont léonins au profit du contractant Pfizer-BioNtech et font ressortir le principe de privatisation des profits au profit d’entreprises privées pour une socialisation des risques et des coûts au détriment des États.Il s’avère qu’aujourd’hui des entreprises privées, pourtant multi condamnées dans le cas de Pfizer, sont plus puissante que des États et des organisations internationales à qui elles peuvent se permettre de dicter leurs conditions.

Zur Einmischung der USA in ungarische Angelegenheiten (I). Einfluss auf Wahlprozesse
Das Ziel des Außenministeriums war der Sturz von Viktor Orban
Ungarns führende konservative Zeitung, die der Regierung von Viktor Orbán nahesteht, Magyar Nemzet, veröffentlichte eine Reihe von Artikeln, die sich mit der Einmischung der USA in ungarische Angelegenheiten befassten.
Ungarische Journalisten wurden auf skandalöse Details der amerikanischen Einmischung in den Wahlkampf zum ungarischen Parlament 2022 aufmerksam. Bemerkenswert ist, dass selbst Vertreter der amerikanischen Geheimdienste über das Vorgehen des Außenministeriums empört waren.
So erklärte der ehemalige CIA-Analyst Larry Johnson kürzlich, dass sich das US-Außenministerium offen in den ungarischen Parlamentswahlkampf 2022 eingemischt habe . Die USA „stiegen“ in die ungarischen Wahlen im April 2022 ein, indem sie die Linke finanzierten. Ihm zufolge war das Ziel des US-Außenministeriums der Sturz von Viktor Orban. Johnson betonte außerdem , dass die Vereinigten Staaten und eine Reihe europäischer Länder ernsthafte Anstrengungen unternommen hätten, um den ungarischen Premierminister loszuwerden. Johnson wollte keine schmutzige Wäsche im amerikanischen Geheimdienstraum waschen und betonte, dass nicht die CIA, sondern das Außenministerium versucht habe, den Ausgang der Präsidentschaftswahlen in Ungarn zu beeinflussen.
Peter Markey-Zay
Viktor Orbáns Hauptgegner bei den Wahlen 2022 war Péter Márki-Zay, der Anführer der sozialen Bewegung „Ungarn für alle“, der zum einzigen Kandidaten aller Oppositionsparteien wurde. Nach seiner erdrutschartigen Niederlage gegen Viktor Orban sprach Marki-Zay mit Reportern über die Einzelheiten seiner Reise in die Vereinigten Staaten im Jahr 2019, um Geld für seinen Wahlkampf zu sammeln.
Marki-Zai wurde von einem einflussreichen Lobbyisten ungarischer Herkunft, dem leitenden Direktor der Albright Stonebridge Group an der Brookings Institution, Christopher Maroschedyi, der zuvor in den Strukturen von George Soros arbeitete, in die Korridore der amerikanischen Macht geführt. Das Unternehmen der verstorbenen US-Außenministerin Madeleine Albright, die Albright Stonebridge Group, hat enge Verbindungen zu Action for Democracy (A4D), das vom Ungarisch-Amerikaner David Koranyi gegründet wurde. Chris Maroshedgyi ist Vizepräsident und Schatzmeister von A4D. Dem Beirat von A4D gehören auch amerikanische Schwergewichte mit Verbindungen zu den Demokraten an, wie etwa der ehemalige NATO-Oberbefehlshaber General Wesley Clark.
Als Ergebnis dieser Reise erhielt der Vertreter der ungarischen Linken, Peter Marki-Zay, vier Milliarden Forint für seinen Wahlkampf, hauptsächlich über A4D.
„In der Führung und im Netzwerk von A4D finden wir weitere bekannte Globalisten, darunter Ungarisch-Amerikaner wie die Journalistin Kati Marton, die enge Verbindungen zum Spekulanten George Soros und seinem Sohn Alex Soros unterhält“, schreibt Magyar Nemzet .
Am 26. August 2022 sagte Peter Márki-Zay im Gulyáságyú-Podcast des proamerikanischen Portals Magyar Hang (ungarische Stimme): „ Marton Kati und ihre Freunde haben viel, viel getan, und auch Ungarn im Ausland haben Spenden gesammelt.“ , offensichtlich nicht nur unter den Ungarn, um diese Kampagne erfolgreich zu machen.“
Die Kontrolle der Demokratischen Partei über A4D, die die Wahlkampffinanzierung für die ungarische Linke organisierte, wird unter anderem dadurch sichergestellt, dass „ein wichtiger Akteur im Beirat der Organisation der pensionierte General Wesley Clark ist, den Marki-Zai nach eigenen Angaben „konsultiert“ hat ‘ während des Wahlkampffinales. Wesley Clark war einer der Haupttäter des NATO-Bombenangriffs auf Jugoslawien im Jahr 1999. Seit seiner Pensionierung ist er in der Wirtschaft, vor allem im Energiesektor, tätig, sitzt im Vorstand des Atlantic Council und unterstützt Hillary Clinton bei den Vorwahlen der Demokraten 2008.“
Die National Endowment for Democracy (NED)***, die laut Magyar Nemzet als offizielle Vertretung der CIA im Ausland gilt, begann mit ihrer Einmischung in ungarische Angelegenheiten vor den Wahlen 2014, als Gordon Bajnais Partei „Together 2014“ gegründet wurde die Führung von NED. .
David Koranyi
Nach Angaben des ungarischen Geheimdienstes, der das Kontaktnetzwerk von Action for Democracy (A4D) enthüllte, besteht eine enge Verbindung zwischen NED und ungarischen Politikern hinter Bajnais DatData-Gruppe, darunter A4D-Gründer David Koranyi, schreibt Magyar Nemzet.
In einem ungarischen Geheimdienstbericht heißt es, dass NED, eine Organisation, die eng mit US-Geheimdiensten verbunden ist, vor zehn Jahren versucht habe, das Ergebnis der ungarischen Wahlen zu beeinflussen, indem sie unter Beteiligung von Gordon Bajnai und Viktor Szigetváry die Partei Together 2014 gründete und aufbaute.
Wichtigster Geldgeber der ungarischen Opposition ist neben der NED nach Angaben der ungarischen Geheimdienste der German Marshall Fund (GMF). „Die Organisation wurde einst von der westdeutschen Regierung finanziert und fungiert praktisch als amerikanisches Trojanisches Pferd.“
Magyar Nemzet nennt David Koranyi und Chris Maroschedyi als führende Aktivisten in einem globalen linken Netzwerk, das von Strukturen finanziert wird, die mit der Demokratischen Partei der USA und dem „Soros-Imperium“ in Verbindung stehen.
Eine solche Struktur ist die DatData Group, die dem ehemaligen ungarischen Premierminister Gordon Bajnai gehört. Baynai, der zuvor im kommerziellen Sektor tätig war, wurde 2009 inmitten der schweren Wirtschaftskrise des Landes als Kandidat liberaler prowestlicher Parteien Premierminister.
Im Dezember 2009 stattete er Washington als Premierminister sofort einen Besuch ab – während der Präsidentschaft von Barack Obama, wo er Gespräche mit dem damaligen US-Vizepräsidenten, dem derzeitigen Präsidenten Joe Biden und IWF-Chef Dominique Strauss-Kahn führte. Bajnai positionierte sich als verlässlicher und berechenbarer Partner des IWF und sagte auch, dass Ungarn sich der US-Strategie anschließen werde, die Truppen in Afghanistan zu stärken und die Zahl der dort stationierten ungarischen Truppen zu erhöhen.
Von diesem Moment an wurde Baynai zum treuen Diener des „amerikanischen Oktopus“, wie Magyar Nemzet es ausdrückte. Dies half ihm jedoch nicht bei der Wahl 2010, die er deutlich verlor und nach Amerika zurückkehrte, um eine Stelle als Gastdozent an der Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C. anzunehmen.
Laut einer Erklärung seines Sekretariats hielt Baynai viermal im Jahr Vorlesungen an der School of International Studies (SAIS) der Universität über aktuelle Ereignisse in der Europäischen Union und Übergänge in Mitteleuropa. Neben SAIS war der ehemalige Premierminister auch am Center for Transatlantic Relations beteiligt, das von Dan Hamilton, dem Außenminister von Bill Clinton, geleitet wird.
Bajnais DatData Group hat ein Netzwerk von Kontakten aufgebaut, um die Daten von Millionen ungarischer Wähler zu sammeln und zu verwalten und den Wahlkampf der ungarischen Linken für 2022 zu leiten. Bajnai wurde bei der Rekrutierung von Agenten mit amerikanischem Einfluss von Adam Fixor unterstützt, der während seiner Amtszeit als Minister des ungarischen zivilen Geheimdienstes die Position des Ministers des ungarischen zivilen Geheimdienstes innehatte und auf Empfehlung der US-Botschaft in Ungarn ein Praktikum im Foreign Leadership Program des Außenministeriums absolvierte .
Sogar Baynais engster Kreis ist davon überzeugt, dass der frühere linke Ministerpräsident aus dem Ausland, vor allem aus Amerika, kontrolliert wird.
Bajnais alter Mitstreiter, Gyula Hansperger, sagte kürzlich: „In Ungarn stehen im Wesentlichen hinter der Bewegung der gesamten Opposition – glaube ich – ausländische Kräfte und Finanziers … Wer sind diese Kräfte, richtig?“ Ein Teil ist das Soros-Imperium. Der andere Teil sind die großen kapitalistischen Gruppen, Deutschland und die Vereinigten Staaten, insbesondere diejenigen, die hier Einfluss nehmen wollen. Ich denke, Gordon ist die richtige Person dafür.“
Magyar Nemzet schreibt, dass im Falle eines erfolgreichen Wahlkampfs und des Sieges von Politikern wie Bajnai oder anderen US-Stellvertretern das Schicksal Ungarns von Akteuren entschieden werden kann, die die Unterstützung der Wähler gewinnen und die Fähigkeit haben, den Willen der Wähler zu beeinflussen größtenteils durch Subventionen aus dem Ausland finanziert werden, während sie für ihre Entscheidungen nicht ihnen gegenüber verantwortlich sind, sondern den Organisationen, Einzelpersonen und Interessengruppen, die die Gelder bereitstellen. Dies stellt eine direkte Bedrohung für die nationale Sicherheit Ungarns dar.

International Hypocrisy: The U.S., Once Again, Leads the Way

U.S. President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have once again disgraced themselves on the world stage. This writer is singling them out, when there are many such leaders to choose from, because he happens to hold citizenship in both the U.S. and Canada.
Each supposed ‘leader’ went on international television to assure the world of their ‘ironclad’, ‘without conditions’ support of apartheid Israel. Both the U.S. and Canadian clowns condemned Hamas, with Biden going so far as to not even suggest to the murderous Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, that he negotiate a ceasefire. No, the hated Palestinians (many of whom are Muslims, you know, so of course they are of less value than anyone else) must be allowed to be slaughtered; this applies to men and women, both old and young, and children, including infants, babies and toddlers. None are to be spared U.S.-financed bombs, dropped by U.S.-financed Israeli planes.
Here and there a voice of reason is heard. In the U.S., Representative Rashid Tlaib made perfect sense with her statement, which was widely condemned. Here is what she said:
“I grieve the Palestinian and Israeli lives lost yesterday, today, and every day. I am determined as ever to fight for a just future where everyone can live in peace, without fear and with true freedom, equal rights, and human dignity. The path to that future must include lifting the blockade, ending the occupation, and dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance. The failure to recognize the violent reality of living under siege, occupation, and apartheid makes no one safer. No person, no child anywhere should have to suffer or live in fear of violence. We cannot ignore the humanity in each other. As long as our country provides billions in unconditional funding to support the apartheid government, this heartbreaking cycle of violence will continue.” Despite the truth and compassion within this brief statement, she was soundly criticized for not condemning Hamas violence.
In Canada, Member of Parliament Sarah Jama also issued a reasonable, thoughtful statement. Said she: “The generations long occupation of Palestine, as explained by Micheal Lynk, the UN Special Rapporteur for the Situation of Human Rights in the Palestinian territory, is apartheid, i.e. ‘ a political regime intentionally prioritizing fundamental political, legal, and social rights to one group over another in the same space on the basis of racial-national-ethnic identity’. We are seeing this definition of apartheid real time through the continued violation of human rights in Gaza through the use of white phosphorus chemicals, the withholding of access to food, fuel, electricity and water, and the destruction of the only exit from Gaza that isn’t controlled by the State of Israel – the Rafah border.
“Especially with this context in mind, the news coming of Israel and Palestine is deeply concerning. For 75 years, violence and retaliation rooted in settler colonialism have taken he lives of far too many innocent people. I call for an immediate ceasefire and de-escalation. We must look to the solution to the endless cycle of death and destruction: end all occupation of Palestinian land and end apartheid. Canada must hold true to hits history of peacemaking, and refrain from military intervention. My heart genuinely goes out to all those impacted by this on-going violence.”
She later had to ‘clarify’ her statement, saying that she understand the pain of her Jewish constituents.
The Palestinian Ambassador to the U.K., Husam Zumlot, had choice words for his BBC interviewer on October 10. Only a small portion of his interview will be documented here:
• “Don’t draw any symmetry here; don’t equate between the occupied and the occupier.”
• “How many times have you interviewed Israeli officials (question by Ambassador Zumlot to the interviewer)? How many times? Hundreds of times. How many times has Israel committed war crimes, live, on your own cameras? Do you start by asking them to condemn themselves? Have you? You don’t.”
• “You know why I refuse to answer that question (why he won’t condemn Hamas for its violence of last week)? Because I refuse the premise of it. Because at the very heart of it is misrepresentation of the whole thing. Because it is the Palestinians who are expected to condemn themselves.”
• “We (Palestinians) have been denied our rights for a long time.”
• “The right starting point is to focus on the root causes.”
• “You bring us here whenever Israelis are killed. Did you bring me here when many Palestinians in the West Bank, more than 200 over the last few months (were killed)? Do you invite me where there are such Israeli provocations in Jerusalem and elsewhere?
• “What Israelis have seen…in the last 48 hours the Palestinians see every day for the last…fifty years.”
• “Those people, two million, have been taken hostage by Israel for the last sixteen years.”
Such reasonable, sensible and logical statements are dismissed and shouted down by chants of ‘We Stand with Israel’, and ‘Israel has a right to defend itself.’
Western leaders do not hesitate to pick and choose how they will defend or condemn the actions of others. British journalist Aaron Bastani perhaps said it best in a ‘tweet’:
“There’s clear double standard in endorsing terrorism against civilian targets by Ukraine (which one can obviously argue is justified – they face occupation) & condemning it by Palestinians. Those fighting our enemies = war of liberation Those fighting our allies = terrorism.”
Law professor Khaled Beydoun expressed it thusly: “So, Ukrainian civilians defending their families are ‘freedom fighters’… But Palestinians in Gaza doing the EXACT same thing are ‘terrorists’?”
Independent journalist Bianca Graulau expressed the same opinion with these words in a ‘tweet’: “I’m confused. When Ukrainians attacked back after Russia’s invasion, the US celebrated them. When Palestinians do the same against Israeli occupation, they’re condemned. Filter the propaganda through this lens: the US empire will always choose sides based on its own interests.”
Perhaps Ms. Graulau has brought us to the crux of the matter. The U.S. isn’t interested in human rights, international law or self-determination. Certainly it has no interest in peace in the Middle East. It is interested in power over the entire world and the profits that that power will bring them. So what if its hands are dripping with the blood of Palestinian children? Biden cares no more about that than George Bush cared about the blood of Iraqi children. No, the geopolitical goals of the U.S. are always front and center. Human rights and international law are no where on the U.S. list of priorities.
Israel has now cut off all food and water sources to the Gaza Strip, effectively beginning to starve to death over 2.5 million people. The U.S. and Canadian governments are just fine with that. The last power plant in Gaza has now run out of fuel and, of course, Israel will allow no more to be imported. Again, the government of Canada and the U.S. have no problem with that.
Amid the horrific bloodshed that is occurring even as this is being written, one must look for what possible good may come from this. There are a few possibilities:
1. Palestine, which for decades has been an unimportant footnote in the foreign policies of most of the governments of the world, will no longer be relegated to such an insignificant position. Any nations, especially Arab nations, that consider normalization with Israel, will need to think twice before doing so. Those that did so under the regime of Donald Trump are certainly having buyers’ remorse, and their citizens, never happy with normalization, have now taken to the street in unprecedented numbers. This could be the first crack in the so-called Abraham Accords.
2. The United Nations, which has long overlooked the many, many violations of international law and crimes against humanity of which Israel is guilty, may now be forced to act.
3. A complacent citizenry in the U.S., which increasingly sides with the Palestinians, may finally wake up to U.S. complacency in all Israel’s crimes. That may lead to different decisions at the ballot box.
4. Israelis will know that nothing short of genocide will allow them to feel secure in their homes. Of course, genocide is part of the Zionist entity’s ongoing policy, and the racist government officials are now accelerating it, not even pretending not to. But if they fail, Israelis will know that it is only a matter of time before they hear the sirens again, and more Israelis will die. This may disrupt, and possibly bring down, the racist Netanyahu government.
This writer mentioned his dual citizenship in the U.S. and Canada. He is more ashamed now of those two countries than he has ever been, and that is saying something.

Bibi Netanyahu: Israel Must “Support Bolstering Hamas and Transferring Money to Hamas”
Bibi Netanyahu and his ideological ilk represent more of an existential threat to the continued existence of the Israeli state – and possibly the world if it gets dragged into its geopolitical melodrama — than any foreign adversary ever could hope to.
What many casual news consumers might not know, even ones who consider themselves “informed” – in large part because MSNBC/CIA-funded Washington Post would never tell them – is that Hamas is in no small measure a creation of the Israeli state.
This is not to mean “creation of the Israeli state” in the figurative, obscure sense of “Israel forced the birth of Hamas-style militancy through its Apartheid policies in the Gaza Strip,” although that is certainly true.
I literally mean to say the Israeli government actively and directly participated in creating and propping up Hamas in the service of its own political machinations.
Straight from the horse’s mouth, here’s how Netanyahu schemed behind the scenes for years to promote the terrorist group he now publicly decries and postures as the savior from.
Via Haaretz:
“Effectively, Netanyahu’s entire worldview collapsed over the course of a single day. He was convinced that he could make deals with corrupt Arab tyrants while ignoring the cornerstone of the Arab-Jewish conflict, the Palestinians. His life’s work was to turn the ship of state from the course steered by his predecessors, from Yitzhak Rabin to Ehud Olmert, and make the two-state solution impossible. En route to this goal, he found a partner in Hamas.
‘Anyone who wants to thwart the establishment of a Palestinian state has to support bolstering Hamas and transferring money to Hamas,’ he told a meeting of his Likud party’s Knesset members in March 2019. “This is part of our strategy – to isolate the Palestinians in Gaza from the Palestinians in the West Bank.”

On learning that Netanyahu told his comrades this, one might ask obvious questions:
Why would Netanyahu be interested in keeping Palestine balkanized politically?
Especially when all the government publicly proclaims to desire is peace with its Arab neighbors? Wouldn’t a stable Palestinian state not obsessed with annihilating the Jews serve those purported Israeli interests?
Well, a non-militant Palestinian state might serve the interests of an average Israeli living in a village on the border of Gaza, but not Netanyahu’s interests nor those of the base of fanatical religious warmongers he caters to.
Keeping Hamas alive and well-funded, as Netanyahu explicitly called for, creates permanent instability. Instability, in turn, lends itself to either active war or the constant threat of war, not peace. And war is the health of the Israeli state.
If peace broke out in the Middle East, creatures like Netanyahu would be liable to suddenly find themselves out of a job. They might have to make an honest day’s living for once in their miserable lives.
Netanyahu feeds politically as a result of endless conflict with Israel’s regional rivals. War breathes life into his otherwise listless and deflated political ideology. What other ideas for governance has this warmonger ever had except more war?
In the immediate term, war furthermore keeps him out of jail for the time being, as he was under serious, career-threatening legal scrutiny for corruption allegations at the time of the Hamas attack. Now, as the Israeli citizenry “rallies around the flag,” the nation temporarily forgoes internal political conflict.
Netanyahu and the self-styled Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, are two peas in a pod in this regard. War is the health of their respective states, and they and their parties are the primary beneficiaries. Without it, they would be nothing but your average middle-aged, flabby slobs schlubbing their way through life.
In fact, in much the same way that there is no way Israeli intelligence was unaware of impending Hamas attacks, I wouldn’t be shocked to learn that Netanyahu and Khamenei are coordinating behind the scenes to see if they can’t finagle a potentially apocalyptic regional, if not global, war out of the current mess – and, again, if possible, drag the United States, Russia, and God knows what other states into it in the process.
Of course, neither the Supreme Leader (what a stupid title) nor Netanyahu will be doing any fighting themselves. They’re much too cowardly and physically flimsy for any of that. Those personal traits are largely why they’re politicians in the first place.
They’ll simply puppeteer the apocalypse from behind the scenes. It’ll be poor kids conscripted from dusty villages sent to the meat grinder.
How history has a way of rhyming! Back in the 1980s, in an entirely different conflict in the same region of the world, it was the United States that propped up a band of religious fanatics fighting, at the time, the Soviet Union that had “invaded and occupied Afghanistan in 1979”.
Ronald Reagan’s Deep State handlers went so far as to invite them to the White House.
As unstable religious fanatics who feed off perpetual war, they eventually switched allegiances and set their sights on the United States, of course.
Many people living quiet lives in New York City died as a result, but the American neocons got a whole fresh set of wars out of the deal, with fresh license to kill more poor people overseas.
Raytheon and Boeing stocks went through the roof. The Middle East was further destabilized, giving rise to ISIS, a failed state in Libya, and guaranteeing future war.
And around and around we go, pretending as if the vaunted statesmen who start wars for a living are anything other than bloodthirsty warmongers playing geopolitical chess with other people’s children.
But they’re brave and serious leaders of resolve, and I and anyone else who challenges them are the “domestic terrorists,” per the ADL, of course.

Mass Media Reporters Aren’t Buying Israel’s Hospital Bombing Story
“But what I’d like to quickly document as things unfold is the highly unusual number of mass media reporters I’ve been seeing who haven’t hesitated to point to Israel as the probable culprit.”

A huge blast in Gaza has destroyed the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, killing hundreds of people. The exact death toll is still unknown.
Details of who is responsible for the explosion are being hotly debated by all parties, and this is still a developing story with a lot of details yet to be revealed. But what I’d like to quickly document as things unfold is the highly unusual number of mass media reporters I’ve been seeing who haven’t hesitated to point to Israel as the probable culprit.
After noting that Israel is blaming the blast on a failed rocket launch by Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), MSNBC foreign correspondent Raf Sanchez quickly pointed out that PIJ rockets don’t tend to do that kind of damage, but Israeli missiles do. He also noted that Israel has an extensive history of lying about this sort of thing.

“The Israeli military at this point is not providing any evidence to back up its claims that this was a Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket; they are citing intelligence that they have not yet made public,” Sanchez . “We should also say that this kind of death toll is not what you normally associate with Palestinian rockets. These rockets are dangerous, they are deadly, they do not tend to kill hundreds of people in a single strike in the way that Israeli high explosives — especially these bunker buster bombs that are used to target these Hamas tunnels under Gaza City — do have the potential to kill hundreds of people.”
“And we should say finally that there are instances in the past where the Israeli military has said things in the immediate aftermath of an incident that have turned out not to be true in the long run,” Sanchez added. “And the one example I’ll give you is that when the Al Jazeera journalist, Shireen Abu Akleh, was killed in the occupied West Bank, the Israeli military initially said that she was killed by Palestinian gunmen, and it was only months and months later that they admitted that it was likely an Israeli soldier who fired the fatal shot.”
CNN’s Clarissa Ward said essentially the same thing.
“I will say, just based on seeing these rocket attacks many times over the years, that they don’t usually have an impact like that in terms of the size of the blast, in terms of the scale of the death toll and the scale of the damage,” Ward said. “It’s also not the first time, it’s important to add, that we have seen the IDF categorically deny something before being forced to kind of do an about-face after an extensive investigation.”

BBC foreign correspondent Jon Donnison gave basically the same opinion.
“It’s hard to see what else this could be, really, given the size of the explosion, other than an Israeli air strike, or several air strikes,” Donnison said from Jerusalem. “Because, you know, when we’ve seen rockets being fired out of Gaza, we never see explosions of that scale. We might see half a dozen, maybe a few more people being killed in such rocket attacks, but we’ve never seen anything on the scale of the sort of explosion on the video I was watching earlier.”

That’s three mass media reporters that I’ve seen just in my random information-gathering meanderings — not on their personal social media accounts, but live on air.
It’s highly unusual to see this degree of skepticism in the western press right off the bat when it goes against the information interests of Israel specifically or the US power alliance more generally. Typically we’ve been seeing the media uncritically report unverified claims about Palestinian militants while expressing rigorous skepticism solely toward any information which might benefit the Palestinian resistance, so there’s clearly something about this particular story which makes mass media reporters remarkably reluctant to push the Israeli narrative.
Maybe they’re getting information in their group chats which has caused them to keep Israel’s claims about the hospital bombing at arm’s length, or maybe they’re just looking at the facts and deciding this narrative is too flimsy to get behind. If it looks like Israel’s version of events will fall apart after investigation, they’re not going to want to stake their reputation and their pride on pushing it with their usual gusto during an Israeli military operation that is facing unusually intense scrutiny from the entire world.
Israel does after all have an extensive history of attacking hospitals and healthcare facilities, including in this current operation in Gaza, including apparently bombing this exact same hospital just a few days ago. ReliefWeb, which is run by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, recently published a report on the numerous Israeli strikes that have hit hospitals, ambulances and healthcare workers between October 12 and October 15, and listed among the hospitals hit is the Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City — the same hospital that was just destroyed a few days later.
Citing “Al Jazeera V and Personal Communication,” ReliefWeb reports the following:
“14 October 2023: In Gaza city city and governorate, Ahli Arab Hospital was hit by Israeli airstrikes, partially damaging two floors and damaging the ultrasound and mammography room. Four people were injured.”
It’s also probably worth noting that according to the World Health Organization this hospital was one of the twenty hospitals which the IDF had ordered to evacuate because of the aggressions it was planning to inflict on that part of Gaza.
Again, information is still coming in and this developing story could possibly wind up looking very different from what it looks like right now. But if I was an Israel apologist, I don’t think I’d find the current winds in the mass media very encouraging.
