Because the U.S. no longer conducts explosive nuclear tests, scientists are not exactly sure how aging warhead plutonium cores affect detonation. For more common parts, like the plastics and metals and wiring inside each detonator, there are also questions about how the years spent in warheads might affect their integrity.
So, workers at the nation’s nuclear labs and production sites spend a lot of time stressing and testing parts to make sure they’re safe. . At the Energy Department’s Kansas City National Security Campus, where warheads are made and maintained, technicians put components through endless tests. They heat weapons parts to extreme temperatures, drop them at speeds simulating a plane crash, shoot them at high velocity out of testing guns and rattle and shake them for hours on end. The tests are meant to simulate real world scenarios — from hurtling toward a target to being carted in an Air Force truck over a long, rutty road.Advertisement
Technicians at the Los Alamos National Lab conduct similar evaluations, putting plutonium under extreme stress, heat and pressure to ensure it is stable enough to blow up as intended. Workers younger than the warheads
It’s not unusual to see a 50-year-old warhead guarded or maintained by someone just out of high school, and ultimate custody of a nuclear weapon can fall on the shoulders of a service member who’s just 23.
……………………………….. At the Kansas City campus, for example, just about 6% of the workforce has been there 30 years or more — and over 60% has been at the facility for five years or less.
That change has meant more women have joined the workforce, too. In the cavernous hallways between Kansas City’s secured warhead workrooms are green and white nursing pods with a greeting: “Welcome mothers.”
At Los Alamos, workers’ uniform allowance now covers sports bras. Why? Because underwire bras were not compatible with the secured facilities’ many layers of metal detection and radiation monitoring.
Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe has condemned the AUKUS pact as an alliance designed to target China, calling it a “strategic misstep,” and insisting it will only divide Asia into rival camps and destabilize the region.
Speaking on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly on Monday, Wickremesing he took aim at AUKUS, which was formed by the US, UK, and Australia in 2021. “I don’t think it was needed,” he said.
“I think it’s a strategic misstep. I think they made a mistake,” the president stated. “It is a military alliance moved against one country – China.”

Wickremesinghe went on to say that Sri Lanka wants no part in the growing tensions between Washington and Beijing, adding that his country would like to maintain good relations with both powers and does not wish to see Asia divided into competing blocs.
“The next round of rivalry is going on. And that’s taking place in Asia. It’s the question of China versus the US, on how they are going to divide their region of influence in Asia,” he said. “Why are we getting pulled into it? It’s difficult for us to understand.”
The president also expressed concern about the stepped-up US military presence in the region in recent years – often labeled ‘freedom of navigation’ missions by American officials. “As far as the Indian Ocean is concerned, we don’t want any military activity,” he continued, saying most neighboring countries “will not want NATO anywhere close by.”
AUKUS was established in 2021 between Washington, Canberra, and London in part to facilitate the transfer of military technology among the three allies. Though officials from each country have maintained that the bloc is not a formal military alliance and is solely focused on technology sharing, Beijing has condemned the project, claiming it will only help to spread nuclear weapons around the globe and kick off an arms race in Asia.
“The three countries have gone further down the wrong and dangerous path for their own geopolitical self-interest, completely ignoring the concerns of the international community,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said earlier this year, adding that the AUKUS pact is based on a “Cold War mentality which will only motivate an arms race, damage the international nuclear nonproliferation regime, and harm regional stability and peace.”
Tensions between Washington and Beijing have steadily escalated in recent years, with former US President Donald Trump kicking off a low-level trade war with China which persists under his successor, Joe Biden.
The Biden administration has also deployed navy warships to waters near China on a near-monthly basis, including the disputed Taiwan Strait, drawing repeated condemnation from Chinese officials

El título de la novela vino a mi mente cuando me propuse reflexionar acerca del resultado de una serie de reuniones realizadas en fechas recientes del año en curso y que han significado una verdadera tormenta para la existencia y funcionamiento del sistema internacional. Son ellas las cumbres del grupo BRICS realizada en Sudáfrica en agosto, las del G-20 en India y del G77+ China en Cuba, en septiembre. Y agregaría el Foro Económico del Extremo Oriente, realizado en la ciudad rusa de Vladivostok durante el mismo mes. En menos de dos meses se ha estremecido los cimientos del sistema internacional atlantista y eurocéntrico.
La reunión anual de 2023 del grupo BRICS rompió definitivamente el oscurantismo mediático que acompañaba estas sesiones. Ya no fue posible ocultar ante el mundo una asociación de 5 Estados a la que desean incorporarse alrededor de 40 países del llamado “Sur Global” ante el avasallador avance de esta agrupación que ha ido ganando fuerza como contrapeso al orden financiero y político occidental.
En este momento (antes de la incorporación el 1° de enero de 2024 de seis nuevos países), los BRICS ya representan el 41% de la población, el 31,5% del producto interno bruto (PIB) y el 16% del comercio del mundo. Eso le ha permitido establecer una agenda distinta a la de Occidente como ha quedado en evidencia con el apoyo a Rusia para enfrentar las sanciones de Estados Unidos y la Unión Europea.
La gran demanda que hoy existe para unirse al bloque, es una demostración de la influencia de esta nueva fuerza geopolítica que posee el potencial para desafiar el sistema liderado por Occidente. Una fuerza que tendría al frente a la segunda potencia mundial, China que junto a Rusia esperan liderizar a la comunidad internacional hacia un mundo más justo, equitativo y participativo.
Lo dijo el presidente Xi Jinping al despedirse de su homólogo ruso al finalizar su visita de Estado a ese país en marzo: “Se están produciendo cambios que no hemos visto en cien años y somos nosotros quienes lo estamos liderando juntos”. Lo reiteró el pasado lunes 18 el canciller chino Wang Yi al iniciar su visita a Moscú: «Estamos dispuestos a velar junto con Rusia por la formación de un mundo multipolar y un orden mundial más justo». Estas declaraciones no dejan espacio para dudas con relación a cuál es el objetivo final.
Sólo unos días después de la reunión de Johannesburgo, durante a segunda semana de septiembre se realizó con gran éxito para India la cumbre del G20 en Nueva Delhi. Ccontrario a los intereses occidentales, el cónclave evitó “ucranizar” la cita. La declaración final aprobada por consenso expuso otros temas de interés planetario como la alimentación, el clima y la energía, la necesidad de reformar las instituciones financieras internacionales, la transformación digital y la política macroeconómica.
Vale destacar fue la aceptación de la importancia de los objetivos de desarrollo definidos como estratégicos por el Sur Global, sobre todo en relación con el reforzamiento del papel que deben jugar los países en desarrollo en el ámbito económico mundial y en la necesidad de que los países desarrollados cumplan las obligaciones financieras acordadas que establecen la necesidad de destinar cien mil millones de dólares anuales para luchar contra el cambio climático. La inclusión de la Unión Africana en el G-20 como miembro permanente fue una decisión histórica.
Rusia y otros países que han pugnado por despolitizar los debates en esta instancia para tener capacidad de dar respuesta a estos problemas que enfrenta la mayoría de la población mundial, lograron paralizar los intentos occidentales de transformar el evento en una discusión sobre la situación en Ucrania. El cónclave estableció con precisión que existe una multiplicidad de conflictos armados en el planeta, haciendo un llamado a su arreglo pacífico mediante el diálogo y los esfuerzos diplomáticos sobre la base de los propósitos y principios de la Carta de la ONU en su totalidad. Una vez más el fracaso de Estados Unidos y sus aliados fue patente.
Por otra parte, durante el mismo mes se realizó el Foro Económico Oriental en la ciudad de Vladivostok, ubicada en el extremo oriental de Rusia. Este espacio es “una plataforma internacional clave para crear y estrechar lazos entre la comunidad inversora rusa y la mundial, así como para llevar a cabo una evaluación exhaustiva del potencial económico del Lejano Oriente ruso”. En la misma participaron alrededor de 7.000 representantes de más de 50 países. Según el portal RT el año pasado, en el evento se firmaron documentos por un valor de casi 34.000 millones de dólares incluidos convenios sobre proyectos de infraestructuras y transporte, desarrollo de grandes yacimientos, así como en los sectores de la construcción, la industria y la agricultura.
El intercambio comercial entre Rusia y los países de la región de Asia-Pacíficocreció un 13,7% el año pasado, mientras que durante los primeros seis meses de este año se incrementó otro 18,3%. Durante su discurso en el cónclave, el presidente Putin planteó con claridad que el desarrollo del Lejano Oriente ruso es una «prioridad estratégica para todo el siglo XXI». Este evento y los acuerdos firmados exponen un mentís a la idea publicitada por los medios transnacionales de la desinformación que hablan del “aislamiento” de Rusia y la crisis de su economía.
Putin exteriorizó la idea de que estaba naciendo “un nuevo modelo de cooperación” a nivel global que no se basa en los patrones occidentales, explicando que estos cambios se producen debido a «la destrucción del sistema financiero» por parte de Occidente. Ello ha conducido -según el presidente ruso- a que cada vez más países muestren su disposición a cooperar bajo el nuevo modelo.
Finalmente, también durante este mes, se realizó en Cuba la cumbre del Grupo 77+China, agrupación formada por 134 países de Asia, África y América. que representan el 80% de la población mundial y dos tercios de los miembros de Naciones Unidas.
Este evento ha sido considerado una cita de los países del sur que han sido golpeados y maltratados por el injusto sistema internacional hegemonizado por Occidente. Especial importancia cobró que la reunión se celebrara en Cuba, país que durante más de 60 años ha sido bloqueado y multi sancionado por Estados Unidos. En el evento se denunció con mucha persistencia las políticas de bloqueo, injusticia, colonialismo, empobrecimiento, sanciones, marginación, explotación y racismo que estos pueblos han sufrido en diversas formas.
Contrario a lo que transmiten los medios transnacionales de la desinformación, la cumbre ha dejado claro que es Estados Unidos, Europa y eso que han denominado su “Comunidad internacional”, la que se encuentra aislada de la mayor parte de la humanidad que busca otros caminos y señala otros derroteros en la ruta de defender los valores de justicia y bienestar.
El evento enfatizó en que es necesario construir un enfoque diferente para tratar los elementos fundamentales del desarrollo científico, cognitivo y tecnológico, para que, de esta manera se pueda avanzar y lograr “un valor añadido, alcanzar justicia e igualdad de condiciones y eliminar de una vez por todas, la arrogancia, discriminación, hegemonía y las guerras impuestas por el Norte”.
En la reunión se impuso la lógica que estableció en su discurso Miguel Díaz-Canel, presidente de Cuba cuando dijo que: “No somos países pobres sino empobrecidos y privados de la tecnología y la ciencia para que sigamos siendo marginales y facilitar que los países del Norte saqueen nuestros recursos humanos y riquezas”.
Como presidente del Grupo, Díaz-Canel llamó a la construcción de un orden global justo y sostenible que permita a la mayoría de estos países salir de las crisis que les han sido impuestas. Para ello, propuso centrarse de manera participativa y colectiva en el desarrollo de recursos científicos, la innovación y el fortalecimiento de las capacidades científicas y cognitivas para lograr el desarrollo sostenible.
En su intervención ante el evento y de forma sorpresiva, el secretario general de la ONU, Antonio Guterres, se plegó al clamor mundial al afirmar que es fundamental cambiar tanto el orden internacional como sus instituciones, creados tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial, para que “reflejen las realidades actuales”.
Guterres agregó que: “Necesitamos una acción global (…) para construir un sistema internacional que defienda los Derechos Humanosy trabaje en beneficio de sus intereses en todos los niveles. Y eso requiere que el G77+China utilicen su voz para luchar por un mundo que funcione para todos”.
Contrario a su postura tradicional, Guterres aseguró que el objetivo fundamental debería ser construir “instituciones multilaterales fuertes y eficaces”, ya que muchas de ellas, especialmente el Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU y las creadas a partir de los acuerdos de Bretton Woods, “reflejan una época pasada” y no la actual.
Parecía increíble, pero el diplomático portugués expresó con firmeza que: “La voz del G77+China siempre será esencial en Naciones Unidas. Y cuento con este grupo, que durante mucho tiempo ha sido defensor del multilateralismo, para dar un paso al frente, utilizar su poder y luchar”.
Así, vistas en su conjunto las reuniones cumbres de los dos últimos meses han mostrado a una humanidad que pareciera trazar un rumbo distinto al que le ha tocado vivir en los últimos 80 años, marcados por el dominio, la imposición, el chantaje y la amenaza permanente que significa la hegemonía atlantista de Estados Unidos y Europa.

Why is the “Confidential Pfizer report” made public under Freedom of Information (FOI) in October 2021 not being quoted or referred to in parliamentary enquiries as a means to refuting the official narrative (which contends that the Covid-19 vaccine is “safe and effective”).
The evidence amply confirms that the Pfizer vaccine is a dangerous substance, resulting in deaths and adverse events.
This is confirmed by the Pfizer Confidential Report released under FOI in October 2021. It come’s from the Horse’s Mouth.

The Confidential report is a bombshell. The vaccine was launched in mid-December 2020. By the end of February 2021, “Pfizer had already received more than 1,200 reports of deaths allegedly caused by the vaccine and tens of thousands of reported adverse events, including 23 cases of spontaneous abortions out of 270 pregnancies and more than 2,000 reports of cardiac disorders.”
This Confidential Pfizer Report provides data on deaths and adverse events recorded by Pfizer from the outset of the vaccine project in December 2020 to the end of February 2021, namely a very short period (at most two and a half months).
The data from mid-December 2020 to the end of February 2021 unequivocally confirms “Manslaughter”. Based on the evidence, Pfizer had the responsibility to immediately cancel and withdraw the “vaccine”.

It is also a Mea Culpa and Treason on the part of corrupt national governments Worldwide which are being threatened and bribed by Big Pharma.
No attempt has been made by the governments to call for the withdrawal of the killer vaccine.
People are told that the vaccine is intended to save lives.

Kein anderes Land hat die Ukraine seit Kriegsausbruch mehr unterstützt als die Nachbarn aus Polen. Doch jetzt kriselt es gewaltig zwischen den alten Freunden. Nach einem Streit um Getreidelieferungen will Warschau keine Waffen mehr an Kiew liefern.
Die Front der Selenskyi-Freunde scheint zu bröckeln, wie Beobachter des UN-Gipfels in New York berichten. Die aktuellste Meldung, die politischen Sprengstoff birgt, passt da gut ins Bild: Ausgerechnet Polens Ministerpräsident Mateusz Morawiecki hat Mittwochabend angekündigt, dass Warschau keine Waffen mehr an Kiew liefern werde. Hintergrund ist der Streit um Getreidelieferungen. Polen will auch weiterhin keine Einfuhr von Weizen aus dem Nachbarland zulassen, um seine eigenen bauern zu schützen. Auch die Slowakei und Ungarn haben ähnliches angekündigt.
Selenskyi reagierte auf die Ankündigung gewohnt direkt: “Einige Länder täuschen Solidarität nur vor und unterstützen indirekt Russland”, sagte er. Eine Spitze ausgerechnet gegen Polen. Kein anderes Land hat seit Kriegsausbruch prozentual zur Bevölkerung mehr Flüchtlinge aufgenommen, viele Entscheidungen der EU zugunsten von Kiew gingen vor allem auch auf die Initiative der Regierung in Warschau zurück.
Polen protestierte offiziell bei den UN gegen die Ukraine
Die Polen reagierten unmittelbar auf den Affront, bestellten den ukrainischen Botschafter ein und protestierten vor den vereinten Nationen. Wenig später ließ Morawiecki dann die Bombe platzen. In Polen ist das Thema im aktuellen Wahlkampf sehr heikel. Landwirte sind eine wichtige Wählergruppe der PiS-Regierung. “Die ukrainischen Behörden verstehen das Ausmaß der Destabilisierung der polnischen Agrarindustrie nicht”, sagte Morawiecki am Mittwoch zu dem Streit. “Wir schützen polnische Landwirte”, sagte der Ministerpräsident.
“Putin ist ein Vampir” oder “die ukrainische Armee kämpft im Auftrag Gottes”: Die Aussagen des US-Staatsbürgers und transsexuellen Armee-Sprechers der Ukraine sorgten immer wieder für Irritationen. Jetzt wurde Sarah Ashton-Cirillo (45) gefeuert.
Die Marketing-Idee, einen transsexuellen amerikanischen Söldner zum Sprecher der ukrainischen Armee zu befördern, kam von Anfang an nicht bei allen europäischen Unterstützern Kiews besonders gut an: Sarah Ashton-Cirillo (45), ein New Yorker, trug dann noch etwas sehr dick bei seinen Video-Botschaften auf – und bekam mit seinen Texten immer wieder bei vielen Medien (auch beim eXXpress) seine Schlagzeilen.
So meinte der transsexuelle US-Söldner in einem seiner Videos, dass “es auffällt, wenn man Wladimir Putins Mund betrachtet, dass Blut daraus tropft”. Somit sei klar: “Er ist ein Vampir, der Völkermord an anmutigen Ukrainern begeht.”

Ermittlungen gegen Ashton-Cirillo eingeleitet
Nach deutlicher Kritik auch von bekannten US-Politikern an diesem Trans-Marketing für die ukrainischen Streitkräfte zogen die Armeeführung und Präsident Wolodymyr Selenskyj dem schrägen Kommunikator nun den Stecker: Sarah Ashton-Crillo wurde in der Nacht auf heute, Donnerstag, vom Dienst suspendiert.
In einem Posting auf X (alias Twitter) meinte das Verteidigungsministerium: “Ihre Äußerungen sind nicht von der Armee genehmigt worden. Bei der Durchführung militärischer Operationen gegen den Aggressor halten sich die Verteidigungskräfte der Ukraine streng an die Normen des humanitären Völkerrechts.” Jetzt müssten auch Ermittlungen eingeleitet werden.
Erst vor einigen Tagen sorgte Ashton-Cirillo mit einem Video für Aufregung, in dem sie Russland drohte: “Russlands Kriegspropagandisten werden alle zur Strecke gebracht und der Gerechtigkeit wird Genüge getan werden.”
War doch nicht die beste Marketing-Idee für die Armee: der transsexuelle Mediensprecher Ashton-Cirillo.
