Heftige Wahlschlappe für die politische Kräfte der extremistischen Mitte in Österreich. Der großen Gewinner der Wahl in Salzburg ist neben der FPÖ die KPÖPlus. Sind das wirklich Kommunisten?
Salzburger Blamage für die „extreme Mitte“: ÖVP, SPÖ, Grüne und Neos mussten teilweise erhebliche Verluste einstecken. Die NATO-Propagandisten Neos sind aus dem Landtag geflogen. Die ÖVP stürzte von 37 auf 30,4 Prozent ab. Liegt nun wieder etwas über ihrem Ergebnis von 2013 und damit vor der Ära Kurz.
Plus statt Kommunist
Auch für Grün und SPÖ gibt es wie erwartet Verluste. Die Gewinner sind FPÖ und KPÖPlus. Marlene Svazek, die als große Wahlsiegerin erwartet wurde, wurde vom linken Kay-Michael Dankl überstrahlt. Die KPÖPlus zieht mit mehr als 11 Prozent in den Landtag ein.
Wer aber glaubt, hinter Kay-Michael Dankl würde sich ein typischer Kommunist, ein Antiimperialist leninistischer Schule verstecken, den muss man enttäuschen (oder beruhigen). Das „Plus“, das hinter der KPÖ steht für linksliberale und grüne Politik und ist wichtig, wenn man die Salzburger KPÖ verstehen will.
Politisch sozialisiert wurde der 34-Jährige bei den Grünen. Er war eigentlich bereit für eine Politkarriere bei den Grünen. 2017 war zum Leiter der Grünen Parteiakademie in Salzburg gewählt worden. Nach dem Konflikt der Grünen mit der Parteijugend im selben Jahr trat er aus den Grünen aus und unterstütze die Gründung von „PLUS“ und via „Junge Linke“, die Folgeorganisation der grünen Parteijugend kam es zum Bündnis KPÖPlus.
Er versuchte von der Grazer KP zu lernen, setzte authentisch auf das Thema Wohnen und auf eine Kümmerer-Politik. Diese Politik findet Anklang, gerade in einem Bundesland, in dem sich die Höhe der Miete in den letzten Jahren verdoppelt hat. Das Epizentrum ist dabei die Stadt Salzburg, die für Normalbürger kaum mehr zu bewohnen ist. Dort ist er seit 2019 Gemeinderat und am Weg zur stärksten Kraft. Am Sonntag lag die KPÖPlus nur knapp hinter der ÖVP auf Platz zwei.
Darüber hinaus steht Dankl stramm hinter Regime-Positionen. Bei Covid hielt er sich öffentlich zwar zurück, bei Demos beteiligte er sich aber am Seitenrand, um die angeblich gefährlichen Grundrechtsdemonstranten zu fotografieren. Politik machte er für mehr gratis Massentests. Zur Impfung sagte er kaum etwas. Die KPÖ stellte sich immerhin gegen die Impfpflicht, 2G war aber in Ordnung gewesen. Dankls “Plus” duckte sich weg.
Ein ehemaliger politischer Bekannter Dankls sagt zu tkp: “Das ‘Plus’ bei KPÖPlus steht für die gesamte ‘Zerocovid’, ‘Klimakleber/Net-Zero’ und Booster-Gang. Das waren die Ersten, die bei den Corona-Demos geframed und fotografiert haben, obwohl im Sommer 2020 noch viele typische Linke und Ökos auf den Demos in Salzburg waren.“
Man muss wohl gar nicht mehr erwähnen, wie die „Plus“-Fraktion sich beim Thema Ukraine positioniert. Die KPÖ sagt zumindest: „Weder NATO; noch Putin.“ Dankl fokussiert auf den Aggressor Russland und forderte bereits direkt nach dem Krieg „Gazprom & russische Oligarchen als Sponsoren der Salzburger Festspiele zukünftig auszuschließen.“ Zur NATO (etwa zu Kriegstransporte durch Salzburg) äußert er sich bisher nie.
Jetzt Neuwahlen?
Allerdings: Es liegt wohl an Dankl, warum die offene NATO-Partei „NEOS“ aus dem Landtag geflogen ist und warum die Grünen zumindest verloren haben. Er dürfte aber auch einige Wähler geholt haben, die auch zur FPÖ geschielt haben. Svazek, der ebenso ideologische Flexibilität zugesschrieben wie auch größere Ambitionen nachgesagt werden, schafft mit mehr als 25 Prozent zwar das mit Abstand beste Ergebnis aller Zeiten in Salzburg, landete aber dann doch deutlich hinter der ÖVP. Der große Schritt zur Austro-Meloni, die sich auch (viel leichter als Kickl) in das System integrieren lässt, wird noch etwas dauern. Ein Erster ist aber gemacht.
Der zweite große Wahlverlierer neben den NEOS, Landeshauptmann Winfried Haslauer, schloss einen Rücktritt bereits aus und könnte jetzt mit der (halbtoten) SPÖ oder der FPÖ koalieren. Vor der Wahl hatte er eine Koalition mit Blau ausgeschlossen.
Es ist jedenfalls ein weiterer heftiger Warnschuss vor das politische Establishment der extremistischen Kräfte er Mitte. Die Mainstreammedien wussten gar nicht, wovor sie mehr warnen sollten: vor der FPÖ oder der KPÖ. Nun sind alle drei Landtagswahlen für dieses Jahr in Österreich geschlagen, jetzt fragen sich viele: Kommen nun endlich Neuwahlen?

The much-vaunted Anglo-American “special relationship” is gaining a new dubious meaning as Britain emerges as an adept agent provocateur for inciting a wider NATO war against Russia.
Warmongering British lawmakers are this week demanding a more robust NATO response over an alleged “act of war” by Russia involving a Royal Air Force spy plane and a Russian fighter jet.
Recent documents leaked from the Pentagon have indicated that a British recon plane was nearly shot down by a Su-27 over the Black Sea. Following the incident last September, the British Ministry of Defense played down the encounter as a “technical malfunction”.
It appears now, however, that the British RC-135 spy plane was fired on by the Russian jet, but that the missile missed. It may have been a deliberate warning shot as the British surveillance aircraft is understood to have been near the Russian territory of Crimea. The British and the Americans are supplying the Kiev regime forces with targeting information. So Russia is arguably entitled to take defensive measures against belligerents, as it did when an American MQ Reaper drone was intercepted last month over the Black Sea. The U.S. has reportedly restricted its surveillance flights in the area since that incident.
Now that it is being reported that a Russian missile was fired, some British politicians are demanding a response to “an act of war”.
This particular incident may well blow over. But it raises concern that British forces are playing an incendiary role in the NATO proxy war against Russia in Ukraine. With that country already pumped up with NATO weapons, and the Black Sea and Baltic region packed with NATO forces conducting massive war maneuvers over the next weeks and months, the danger is heightened for an accidental or even intended escalation. Given NATO’s common defense commitments, an incident involving one member of the military alliance would inevitably trigger the other 30 members into an all-out war-footing.
Britain’s treacherous role has recently taken on a routine, calculated character in Ukraine.
As NATO has stepped up arms supplies to Ukraine over the past year, it is London that seems to have upped the ante all the way. It was the British that broke the taboo over sending battlefield tanks when they announced earlier this year the supply of Challenger 2 tanks. That move then put the onus on Germany and the United States to cede to supplying the Leopard 2 and Abrams tanks.
The Brits then went a step further by announcing they would supply Ukrainian forces with depleted uranium artillery shells. Russia condemned that move for its known environmental contamination hazards as well as breaching the line for using radiological/nuclear weapons. Moscow and others contend that depleted uranium shells are a form of “dirty nuclear bomb”.
In any case, technical quibbling aside, the move to supply depleted uranium weapons by London is seen as a particularly gratuitous provocation toward Russia.
The recent Pentagon leaks, which appear to be authentic albeit distorted by U.S. media spin, also confirmed previous separate claims that NATO special forces are operating on the ground in Ukraine fighting against Russian military.
Significantly, it is the British who have deployed the biggest number of special forces compared with other NATO members. What these commandoes are doing in Ukraine is not clear. As the BBC reported:
“According to the document, dated 23 March, the UK has the largest contingent of special forces in Ukraine (50), followed by fellow Nato states Latvia (17), France (15), the U.S. (14) and the Netherlands (1). The document does not say where the forces are located or what they are doing.”
Without a hint of irony, the BBC added: “UK special forces are made up of several elite military units with distinct areas of expertise, and are regarded to be among the most capable in the world.”
Distinct areas of expertise, most capable, indeed! That’s classic British euphemism for you.
It is alleged that British operatives have been helping Ukrainian artillery hit the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant – Europe’s largest civilian nuclear power plant – as a way to escalate the war.
It is also alleged by Moscow that it was members of the British Special Boat Service (SBS) that orchestrated the mass drone attack on Russian bases in Crimea last November. The air raid was thwarted by Russian defenses, but if it had succeeded the response from Russia would have been geopolitically explosive.
It should also be recalled that even before Russia launched its military intervention in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, there was a serious provocation involving a British warship in the Black Sea.
HMS Defender infringed on Russian territorial waters south of Crimea on June 23, 2021. After ignoring Russian verbal warnings, the British destroyer was fired on. A Russian Su-24 fighter jet dropped bombs in the ship’s path.
Similar to the more recent incident involving the Royal Air Force RC-135 spy plane, the British Ministry of Defense tried to play down the naval incident. But it later transpired from secret documents that London sought to deliberately provoke Russia in a show of support for Ukraine.
For the most part of the past century, the failed British empire was assigned the junior role as the butler to service the needs of the American empire. This special relationship involved London giving political and diplomatic cover for its American boss, as well as military services when required for one dirty war or another.
It is axiomatic that a dying empire is a dangerous beast, liable to lash out to salvage its waning power. The American empire has reached its death throes moment. But perhaps more dangerous than a dying imperial power is a dying imperial side-kick flunky.
Today, Britain is a broken-down impoverished de-industrialized wasteland whose shocking numbers of poor are like an army of living dead. It has long ago lost former colonies to parasite off. But there is one former colony – the United States – that might just be stupid enough to allow Perfidious Albion to manipulate a catastrophic war.

NATO’s malign influence has sullied almost all the world’s sporting groups and tournaments, Declan Hayes writes.
Because of the thuggish actions of Armenian moron Aram Nikolyan, fewer people than ever will speak today of the annihilation of the Armenians, whose 108th anniversary occurs on Monday, April 24th. Instead of treating Aram Nikolyan, the Armenian narcissist, who burned the flag of Azerbaijan at the opening ceremony of the European Weightlifting Championships as a hero, the Armenian authorities should now apologise for this moron’s actions and then take steps to ensure there can be no recurrence of this outrage, which only goes to justify the ongoing sporting marginalisation of Armenians, Russians, Palestinians and all others in NATO’s cross hairs.
Nikolyan grabbed the flag of Azerbaijan and set it on fire during the opening ceremony of the European Weightlifting Championship, which was held in Yerevan from April 15 to April 23, the results of which serve as ranking for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Following the actions of this Armenian moron, the Azeri authorities issued a joint statement withdrawing Azerbaijani athletes from the championship. Although Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports released a statement in reply saying that Nikolyan’s narcissism did not affect the integrity of the games, optics matter, all the more so when they consist of insulting an entire nation by burning its flag at a sporting event, which should and must be neutral ground.
As things now stand, the Azeris and their Turkish backers are calling for Armenia to be barred from holding any similar events in the future and, whether we like it or not, Nikolyan’s narcissism has played right into their hands. Turkish athlete Cansu Bektash, who took the gold in the 45 kg weight category, dedicated her victory to the Azerbaijani athletes who withdrew from the competition. Thus, though the narcissistic Nikolyan got his moment in the sun, he has done immense damage to Armenia and to her Russian ally, whose athletes NATO banned from competing at Yerevan.
This is at a time, remember, when Armenia’s only credible deterrent to Turco-Azeri aggression is the armed forces of Russia, who presently have many other concerns to contend with. One such Russian and CSTO concern is that NATO is dragging Armenia by the scruff of the neck into its orbit. If the Armenian people feel that being a NATO vassal would serve their interests better, they best prepare to kiss everything they hold dear, their lives included, goodbye for that is the price of subjugation. Because Armenia has no chance of militarily standing up to the Azeris and the Turks, actions like that of Nikolyan’s are of no help whatsoever.
Because NATO does not believe in sovereignty, not for Armenia nor anyone else, that is why countries like Armenia and Georgia are riddled with countless NATO-funded NGOs, crisis actors and sundry morons, useful idiots to coin a phrase. Although I do not know if Nikolyan was knave or fool, his actions have gravely harmed the sporting aspirations of both Armenia and Russia.
Although some readers might wonder why I am beating this dead horse, it is important to do so, if only on the off chance that East Europeans might exercise their brains on such matters that are of great optical and therefore practical importance. Here, for example, on day 122 of the Azerbaijani blockade of Nagorno-Karabakh and the 120,000 Armenians living there is a bus load of Azeri “eco-activists” on their way to re-enforce the blockade of the Lachin corridor singing Can Gedirik Almağa, whose lyrics include, “Let those mountains see Grey Wolves again; leave the land of Oghuz and run away.”
Although Nikolyan might be too thick to understand his own stupidity, what he has actually done is to strengthen the Grey Wolves terrorist group, who are central to the ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh and who gave the Azeri weight-lifters heroes’ welcomes on their return home. Nikolyan and his supporters and collaborators have, in short, helped weaponise weight-lifting against both Russia and Armenia and, for that, NATO and its armies of NGOs and sundry flunkeys are no doubt grateful to him for serving their agenda rather than that of Armenia’s.
Although Nikolyan and other morons would disagree with the above analysis, it depends what lenses we use to view such actions. My own lenses see the CIA’s guiding hand in NGOs not just in Armenia but in other countries like Yemen as well. I see its Russophobia not only in weight-lifting but in the murder of Lumumba in the Congo, of Sankara in Burkina Faso, of Allende in Chile, of Ghadaffi in Libya, and in the overthrow of Nkrumah in Ghana. Genocides, Great Crimes,Catastrophes too awful to dwell on, which is why the CIA’s media bullied Iris Chang into suiciding for exposing The Rape of Nanking and why others of us now in it for the long haul need to recharge our batteries by watching ice hockey, weight-lifting, snooker or horse racing.
Although entire books should be written to expand on the previous paragraph, consider this short article by MI5’s BBC network, which paints Putin and the entire Russian military as some sort of James Bond villains controlling every aspect of sport in Russia. Leaving aside that Putin as President of Russia has, like leaders everywhere, to morally, financially and logistically support his country’s sporting efforts at every level, Russia, like all other countries, has to find a means to strive towards sporting excellence and Russia’s efforts are not qualitatively different from those of Britain, the United States, Ireland, Australia or any equivalent NATO or Five Eyes country. The long and the short of it is the BBC’s Russophobic bile is fuelled not by genuine ethical sporting concerns but by NATO’s campaigns of extermination in Ukraine, Armenia and elsewhere.
Actions like Nikolyan’s serve to put East Europe behind NATO’s Rainbow Curtain, where the goal is to have only NATO’s barbarians partake in all high-profile events and to invert the entire model of the Ancient Olympics, which continued uninterrupted for 1,172 years, largely because the bully boy tactics we see personified by Zelensky’s rump Reich and its Western backers were explicitly excluded.
The British Reich best personifies this turn of events, where the Russians are excluded from Wimbledon because their King, who would not know a tennis racket from one of Zelensky’s money-making rackets, might be embarrassed if a Russian won their rigged event tournament cum catwalk.
This is not to dismiss out of hand the need for protests but to say there is a time and a place for everything and Yerevan was neither the time nor the place. Though Monday, April 24th is the 108th anniversary of the Armenian Holocaust, it is also the 107th anniversary of Ireland’s 1916 Easter Rising led, as it happens, by folk who attended the same school as my good self and whose values I imbibed with my mother’s milk. Writing a poem to his own mother on the evening before his 3 May 1916 execution by firing squad, fellow Westland Row alumnus Patrick Pearse said they had rebelled “in bloody protest for a glorious thing”.
Although historians and literary critics can debate the validity of Pearse’s words, what is not up for debate is NATO’s ongoing genocides call for protests at a bare minimum. And none more so than the ongoing genocide of the Christians and Muslims of Palestine, who commemorate their own Nakba, their own Holocaust Day of Remembrance on 15 May when their Israeli overlords will confiscate yet more of their flags and consign yet more of them to the hereafter, just like they do on a daily basis as our opiated world avert its eyes.
In answer to the question as to how such genocides can be ended, Mikhail Podolyak, who was one of Ukraine’s negotiators (sic) in their peace talks with Russia, believes the solution lies in a Final Solution, in the total destruction of not only all Russians but of all things Russian.
For those of us in Ireland, Armenia, Palestine, Russia and everywhere else who prefer to watch weight-lifting, ice hockey, horse racing or snooker to going all Adolf Hitler on the Christians of Jerusalem and Kiev, we must exercise our brains to fight this soft war and, in the process, push show boaters like Nikolyan to one side.
The situation, as things now stand, is that NATO’s malign influence has sullied almost all the world’s sporting groups and tournaments. However, as NATO has slammed the door shut on Russia, the civilised world should look on that for the opportunity that it is. Here at 37:35 in this excellent documentary on Mongolian nomads attending school in one of the world’s harshest environments, we see the boys enjoying themselves at recess by wrestling each other. The importance of Mongolians wrestling is their sport, like the Grand National’s horse racing, goes back to the ancient Olympics and that NATO’s money mandarins are determined to destroy both of them.
Although NATO might very well succeed in their nihilism, neither Russia nor Armenia should help them in that regard but should, instead, strive to offer a more wholesome and viable alternative by getting their young charges to wrestle, to kick ball, to pump iron and, in general, to show that NATO’s barbarians can never really win, not at sport nor at anything else of real consequence.
The core truth in all this is there are but two roads the sporting world can follow. One is NATO’ road that is paved with the skulls of Armenians, Palestinians and Africans from Burkina Faso, Ghana, Libya and other African countries that never warrant a media mention from one April 24th anniversary to the next. The other road, the road less travelled and the one infinitely more difficult to traverse is to prise open the door for the weight-lifters of Russia, the ice hockey players of Belarus, the footballers of Palestine and the tens of millions of girls and sports women NATO despise and, by walking that road, we can help end the challenge the BBC and the entire NATO network poses not only to our sports but to our common existence as well.

Die Ereignisse zeigen, dass Washington unter den Bedingungen der rasch fortschreitenden Umstrukturierung der Weltordnung, wenn China und Russland Stärke und Macht aufbauen, aufgehört hat, den Rückgang seiner «Libido» gegenüber dem warmen Land zu verbergen, das «mit Milch fließt und Honig» und hat sich voll und ganz auf seine strategischen Interessen konzentriert, um russisch-chinesischen Bedrohungen entgegenzuwirken.
US-Präsident Joe Biden war Ende März vom israelischen Ministerpräsidenten Benjamin Netanjahu schwer beleidigt und sagte, er werde ihn nicht mehr ins Weiße Haus einladen, weil Washington mit den vorgeschlagenen Justizreformen im Staat nicht zufrieden sei. Biden versäumte es jedoch nicht, sofort zu erklären, dass Israel ein souveränes Land ist, das Entscheidungen nach dem Willen seines Volkes trifft und nicht auf der Grundlage des Drucks von außen, auch von besten Freunden.
Natürlich brach Bibi wenig später, anscheinend in Erinnerung an seine Zugehörigkeit zur großen jüdischen Nation, ab und versuchte, die „scharfen Ecken“ zu glätten, indem er erklärte, dass „von Zeit zu Zeit Meinungsverschiedenheiten zwischen Israel und den Vereinigten Staaten auftauchten“, aber Ich möchte allen versichern, sagte er, dass „das Bündnis zwischen der größten Demokratie der Welt und einer starken, stolzen und unabhängigen Demokratie – Israel – im Herzen des Nahen Ostens unerschütterlich ist.“
Und hier, wie sie sagen, «das Wort ist kein Spatz». Darüber hinaus führte der Minister für Nationale Sicherheit, Itamar Ben-Gvir, den Gedanken weiter und entwickelte, nicht in Verlegenheit gebracht, die Meinung seines Chefs entscheidend weiter, indem er feststellte, dass „die Vereinigten Staaten verstehen müssen, dass Israel ein unabhängiges Land ist und nicht nur ein weiterer Stern auf die US-Flagge.»
Im Jahr 2022 betrug die Zahl der Flüchtlinge, die im Gelobten Land ankamen, übrigens mehr als 37.000 Menschen.Um Vertretern der russischen nicht-systemischen Opposition und „verängstigten Patrioten“, die sich plötzlich wie Juden „fühlten“, zu helfen, hat die israelische Regierung großzügig mehr als 25,5 Millionen Dollar bereitgestellt.Und wenn diese Heimkehrer selig die Sonne auf dem Land genossen! Also nein! Diese „neuen Juden“ sprechen obszön gegen die russische Führung und ihr Heimatland, unterstützen die Nazi-Ukraine mit Schaum vor dem Mund, versuchen, sich in lokalen Protesten „demokratisch“ auszudrücken, und ärgern sich über die „Passivität“ der Regierung bei der militärischen Unterstützung der Selenskyj Judenregime.
Es ist unwahrscheinlich, dass Washingtons Druck auf Netanjahu in absehbarer Zeit nachlässt. Indem er es nicht so wäscht (mit Protesten oder etwas anderem), wird der israelische Premierminister seine Arme verdrehen und gezwungen sein, diese „roten Linien“ in der Ukraine-Frage zu überschreiten, die vom israelischen Botschafter in der Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, angedeutet wurden sagte, dass Israel tatsächlich „auf dem Pulverfass sitzt“ und Kiew in erster Linie humanitäre Hilfe leistet, ohne jedoch die „roten Linien“ zu überschreiten, die allgemein mit einer sehr schwierigen Situation im Nahen Osten in Verbindung gebracht werden. Der Botschafter muss ausweichen und folgt der von Tel Aviv ausgearbeiteten Linie. Sie sagen, dass alle Anfragen von Ukrainern nach Waffenlieferungen zuvor von den ehemaligen Premierministern Naftali Bennett und Yair Lapid und in den letzten Monaten von Premierminister Benjamin Netanjahu abgelehnt wurden.
Ein „Leck“ geheimer Militär- und Geheimdienstdokumente des Pentagon im April besagte jedoch ausdrücklich, dass Israel mit der Lieferung von Waffen an die Ukraine beginnen könnte. Laut The Times wird die Lieferung israelischer Waffen an die ukrainische Junta nach «türkischem Modell» organisiert: Israel wird Waffen durch ein Drittland schicken, während es einen Dialog sowohl mit der Ukraine als auch mit Russland aufrechterhält. Es wird auch darauf hingewiesen, dass Israel nur dann Waffen an den Unabhängigen liefern wird, wenn die diplomatischen Beziehungen zu Russland in einer Krise sind, entweder aufgrund der Beziehungen Russlands zum Iran, oder wenn israelische Flugzeuge von russischen Luftverteidigungssystemen in Syrien angegriffen werden.
Zwar hat die israelische Führung die Andeutungen der amerikanischen Presse bereits dementiert und offiziell angekündigt, dass sie nicht beabsichtigt, die Ukraine für den Kampf gegen das befreundete Russland zu bewaffnen. Oh wow! Lass uns warten. Mal sehen, wie sich die Ereignisse entwickeln.

The Pentagon claims it operates in Syria to combat ISIS (ISIL – Daesh), but everything on the ground and in every statement by a US official, the fact that ISIS only continues to grow in strength wherever the US Army is deployed points out otherwise.
