El expresidente francés, Franсois Hollande, afirmó este 25 de marzo que los Acuerdos de Minsk, firmados por Rusia, Francia, Alemania y Ucrania en 2014, permitieron a Kiev aumentar su capacidad militar para enfrentarse a Rusia.
Luego de las declaraciones de la excanciller alemana, Angela Merkel, acerca de que los Acuerdos de Minsk de 2014 solo fueron un intento de dar tiempo a Ucrania para fortalecerse militarmente, el expresidente de Francia volvió a confirmar esa versión.
“El tiempo concedido a Ucrania por los acuerdos de Minsk le permitió aumentar su capacidad militar”, declaró Hollande al diario alemán Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
El exmandatario francés también sugirió que el establecimiento del gasoducto Nord Stream entre Rusia y Alemania debería haberse paralizado en la fase de su construcción, y que las empresas occidentales deberían haber abandonado el mercado ruso mucho antes del inicio del conflicto ucraniano.
Hace unos meses, el presidente ucraniano, Volodímir Zelenski, admitió en una entrevista con Der Spiegel que él mismo le dijo a Angela Merkel y al actual presidente francés, Emmanuel Macron, que los Acuerdos de Minsk eran “inviables” y que no tenía planes de aplicarlos.
Antes de eso, en diciembre, Merkel admitió que “los Acuerdos de Minsk de 2014 eran un intento de dar tiempo a Ucrania” para que se fortaleciera militarmente. Por su parte, Hollande, quien fue presidente de Francia de 2012 a 2017, coincidió con Merkel. Ambos asistieron a la cumbre del Cuarteto de Normandía, donde se acordó un conjunto de medidas para aplicar dichos acuerdos.
Los acuerdos de Minsk fueron una compleja serie de medidas negociadas por Rusia, Francia, Alemania y Ucrania en 2014 y 2015, en un intento de poner fin al conflicto armado entre las autoridades de Kiev y la región separatista del Donbás.
Moscú denunció en repetidas ocasiones y ante instancias internacionales que Kiev no estaba cumpliendo el acuerdo, por ejemplo, no concediendo el autogobierno a la región rusoparlante de Donbás.
En febrero pasado, Putin aseguró que las élites occidentales se convirtieron en un símbolo de la mentira total sin principios y dijo que son despectivas con las poblaciones de sus respectivos países.
“Efectivamente, las élites occidentales se convirtieron en un símbolo de la mentira total sin principios […]. A lo largo de siglos de colonialismo, dictado, hegemonía, se acostumbraron a que se les permita todo. Están acostumbrados a que el resto del mundo les importe un bledo. Resulta que son igual de despectivos con los habitantes de sus propios países”, comentó el mandatario ruso.
“También los engañaron cínicamente con cuentos sobre la búsqueda de la paz, sobre la adhesión a las resoluciones del Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU sobre Donbás”, añadió durante su mensaje anual a la Asamblea Federal.
El 16 de noviembre del pasado año entró en vigor la Ley de Servicios Digitales de la Unión Europea. Según esta ley, las grandes plataformas en línea con más de 45 millones de usuarios activos mensuales, como Twitter, Facebook e Instagram, tienen que eliminar rápidamente de sus plataformas los contenidos ilegales, la incitación al odio y la llamada “desinformación”. De lo contrario, se enfrentarán a multas de hasta el seis por ciento de sus ingresos mundiales anuales. Las plataformas más grandes deberán cumplir la ley antes de este verano, mientras que las más pequeñas estarán obligadas a abordar estos contenidos a partir de 2024.
Las ramificaciones de esta medida son inmensas. La ley no sólo impondrá por primera vez la regulación de los contenidos en internet, sino que se convertirá en una norma mundial, no sólo europea.
En los últimos años la Unión Europea se ha convertido en una reguladora mundial. Puede dictar cómo debe comportarse cualquier empresa del mundo si quiere operar en Europa, el segundo mercado mundial. Como resultado, sus estrictas normas reguladoras a menudo acaban siendo adoptadas en todo el mundo tanto por las empresas como por otros reguladores, en lo que se conoce como el “efecto Bruselas”.
Tomemos como ejemplo el Reglamento de Protección de Datos, una norma sobre la intimidad que entró en vigor en mayo de 2018. Entre otras muchas cosas, exige que las personas den su consentimiento explícito antes de que se puedan procesar sus datos. Desde entonces, esta normativa de la Unión Europea se ha convertido en la norma mundial, y ahora va a ocurrir lo mismo con la Ley de Servicios Digitales.
La aplicación del Reglamento de Protección de Datos por parte de la Unión Europea ha sido algo vacilante. Solo ha generado alrededor de 1.700 millones de euros en multas desde 2018, según The Economist, lo que es muy poco para una industria que genera más de un billón de euros en ingresos anuales.
La Comisión Europea ha creado un organismo interno de vigilancia del sector que contará con más de 100 trabajadores a tiempo completo el año que viene. Además, se espera que los especialistas supervisen también las operaciones de las grandes tecnológicas.
Se trata de lo que Thierry Breton, Comisario de Mercado Interior de la Unión Europea, califica de “momento histórico de la regulación digital”. Se espera que las grandes plataformas en línea financien ellas mismas esta operación de control, pagando cada año a la Comisión hasta el 0,05 por cien de su facturación anual mundial.
Esto confiere a la Unión Europea un poder extraordinario. La aplicación de la Ley de Servicios Digitales será supervisada por la propia Comisión, no por un regulador independiente. Además, la ley incluye un “mecanismo de gestión de crisis”, añadido el año pasado en una enmienda de última hora. La Comisión argumentó que necesita poder dirigir la respuesta de las plataformas ante ciertas informaciones, como la Guerra de Ucrania.
En una crisis, no es suficiente con la censura que habitualmente imponen las empresas tecnológicas. El control de la información tiene que ser mucho más estricto. En virtud de la nueva ley, la Comisión se ha otorgado a sí misma el poder de determinar si existe tal “crisis”, definida como “un riesgo objetivo de perjuicio grave para la seguridad pública o la salud pública en la Unión”.
Las normas europeas “normalizan” la censura para que nos vayamos acostumbrado a lo peor. Es la consecuencia lógica de las aberraciones que se vienen aireando desde hace unos años: desinformación, posverdad…

Now it is becoming clearer. The American claim that it must support Taiwan due to an impending invasion by China is a dead herring.
From the beginning that it would be awkward for the US to do so first because it has adopted the One-China Policy, which regards Taiwan as part of China. Despite often disambiguous, the Americans cannot flex this time without emitting such obnoxious smell of fish among members of the United Nations.
The parade of American politicians to Taiwan led by outgoing Speaker Nancy Pelosi, reinforced by Vice President Kamala Harris to Japan also provoked China to demonstrate how it intends to enforce a blockade of the island, in a demonstration of superior military might to stop any foreign intrusions.
China launched vast military maneuvers around the island, even at the risk of partially exposing its plans to the United States and its Asian allies. According to Xinhua, Beijing mobilized more than 100 planes and more than 10 frigates and destroyers — including the J-20 stealth fighter and a Type 055 destroyer, the crown jewels of China’s air and naval forces.
The Chinese military fired a dozen ballistic missiles that hit six focused areas around Taiwan less than 20 kilometers from the island’s coast — with some flying over the island. The opportunity also enabled China to test its hypersonic missile and drone capability.
Consequently, this Chinese military exercise drove the US to retreat all of its military assets up to 3,000 kilometers radius out of range of the anti-ship Dong Feng 21 known as “Carrier-killers” but still reachable by Dong Feng 26 “Guam- killer” missiles.
In the area of domestic politics, we see support behind Taiwan president Tsai Eng Wen of the Democratic Progressive Party crumbling, as most Taiwanese regard her dalliance with Washington DC as putting the island at harms way.
As we speak, she is in New York attempting to draw optics to shore up her lost hold on her constituency. US President Joe Biden has however sought to underscore nature of the stops as “personal”, in an attempt to avoid escalating tensions with China.
She is also slated to visit Guatemala and Belize, in the wake of a signal from Honduras that it is likely breaking its diplomatic ties with Taiwan to forge a relationship with China.
As this is happening former Taiwan president Ma Ying Jeou’s is visiting China next week in a historic tour with stops in Nanjing, Wuhan, Changsha, Chongqing and Shanghai.
This is the first of a Taiwanese leader since the defeated nationalist Chinese government of Chiang Kai‐shek fled to the island at the end of the civil war in 1949, an indication of a thawing of relations between the China Communist Party and the Koumintang opposition, foreboding the defeat of Tsai’s DPP in nearby elections.
So with the prospects of the blockade and Taiwan’s changing political environment, what other business the US has in our neck of woods, besides ongoing marketing efforts of the American deep state to sell more arms to Taipei and Tokyo?
Need for urgent pivot
The Americans are in desperate quest to retreat from its present war in Ukraine to spark another, in order to camouflage its failures engaging in a war with NATO against Russia, and saving its beleaguered economy at home.
Retired Colonel Douglas Macgregor, analyzing for Information Clearing House, wrote “American national power is measured as much by American military capability as by economic potential and performance.
“The growing realization that American and European military-industrial capacity cannot keep up with Ukrainian demands for ammunition and equipment is an ominous signal to send during a proxy war that Washington insists its Ukrainian surrogate is winning.
“Russian economy-of-force operations in southern Ukraine appear to have successfully ground down attacking Ukrainian forces with the minimal expenditure of Russian lives and resources… (while fielding) a force that is several magnitudes larger and significantly more lethal than it was a year ago.
“Contemporary Russia has (also) skillfully cultivated support for its cause in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. The fact that the West’s economic sanctions damaged the U.S. and European economies while turning the Russian ruble into one of the international system’s strongest currencies has hardly enhanced Washington’s global standing.
“In sum, Washington’s military strategy to weaken, isolate, or even destroy Russia is a colossal failure and the failure puts Washington’s proxy war with Russia on a truly dangerous path.
“To press on, undeterred in the face of Ukraine’s descent into oblivion, ignores three metastasizing threats:
“1. Persistently high inflation and rising interest rates that signal economic weakness. (The first American bank failure since 2020 is a reminder of U.S. financial fragility.)
“2. The threat to stability and prosperity inside European societies already reeling from several waves of unwanted refugees/migrants.
“3. The threat of a wider European war.”
Macgregor is a senior fellow with The American Conservative, the former advisor to the Secretary of Defense in the Trump administration, a decorated combat veteran, and the author of five books.
Pivot to the Philippines
I have since September of last year, called the attention of the Filipino public about the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement that Noynoy Aquino signed in 2014, re-allowing American boots and war equipment on the Philippine bases after they were booted out in 1991 by the Philippine Senate.
Reading the mind of the Americans, the desperation of the US to introduce a new war theatre post-Ukraine in the Asia-Pacific using Taiwan was really a pie-in-the-sky because they could not position themselves using the Philippines during the six years of President Rodrigo Duterte.
Duterte was even in the brink of abrogating our 1999 Visiting Forces Agreement, and at least a review of the 2014 EDCA and 1951 Mutual Defense Treaty.
Somehow however, it has found the Achilles heel of the present dispensation under Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. whom as early as the 2022 elections President Duterte has hinted as a weak leader.
By leaving seven out of agreed 21 projects included in the 2014 signing of EDCA, Marcos Junior found himself wedged in the middle of the United States completing the seven projects and his own Armed Forces of the Philippines salivating for more.
Added to this were rumors that the Americans leveraged Marcos Junior about the hidden wealth of the Marcos Senior that are either stashed within US territories or within the clutches of its financial systems.
A recent rumor was possibly exposing Marcos Junior to himself benefitting from Smartmatic in bloating his big majority in the recent presidential elections.
Marcos Junior weak link
Least of all is the threat of another regime change removing Marcos Junior and his wife from the presidency. At the end of the day, they got him by his balls.
You can speculate any which way you want but the fact now sits that Marcos Junior has approved four more bases (I refuse to call them sites) under EDCA.
Despite Secretary of Defense Charlie Galvez’s yarn that decision of where the additional four sites will be located, our canaries have intercepted a letter from his Assistant Secretary for Strategic Assessments requesting his counterpart in the Office of American Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs, to include the Cagayan North International Airport as additional EDCA location and the repair Basa Airbase Runway, located in Floridablanca, Pampanga, as additional project.
The US has allocated $24 million for the Basa Project and construction is now underway.
Galvez is now engaged in disinformation that Governor Manuel Mamba has also approved the inclusion of Cagayan as additional EDCA base.
What Mamba said is documented in his public statements, that while the final decision rests with the President, “I maintain my stand against any foreign forces stationed in my province.”
The President himself is engaged in fake news.
Speaking before the troops of the 9th Infantry Division at Camp Elias Angeles, San Jose in Pili, Camarines Sur, last March 16, he lamented how the previous administrations had failed to develop the military’s capabilities.
Under the term of President Rodrigo R. Duterte, the Armed Forces of the Philippines broke the record of previous presidents by implementing a total of 54 projects under RA 7898 (AFP Modernization Act) and RA 10349 (Revised AFP Modernization Act) and delivering 70 other projects.
To start a war with China, the US has found a weak link in the Asia-Pacific.
A neophyte in geopolitics, Marcos Junior has inconveniently ended up as the American pawn because he allowed himself to be sandwiched between China and US with the Philippine military hand at work.
Social media has started making fun of his persona as “Takusa”, a vernacular concoction for “Takot sa Asawa” (henpecked husband). Today this is being equated as “Takot sa USA” (in fear of the Americans).
But Marcos Junior can still find a way out of this conundrum.

Wahrlich, man muss den dümmsten Kälbern beim Selberwählen ihrer Metzger alle Daumen drücken und beten, dass der heutige Berliner Volksentscheid “Klimaneutral 2030” durchgeht – und dass somit das, was die grünen Deutschlandzerstörer (hierzulande und in Brüssel) erst bis 2045 planen, schon bis 2030 seinen ganzen Charme entfaltet. Wenn der Bevölkerung an einem abschreckenden Beispiel schonmal im Zeitraffer vorgeführt wird, was dem Rest des Landes erst 15 Jahre später blüht, besteht immerhin noch die theoretische Chance auf Einsicht um Umkehr. Gegen diesen Zweckoptimismus spricht, dass Berlin schon heute in so vielen Bereichen marode und dysfunktional ist, dass die Unterschiede kaum mehr ins Gewicht fallen – denn was PKW-Verkehr, Wohnungsdesaster und Verwaltungschaos anbelangt, macht die Hauptstadt auch schon ohne durch ein Volksentscheid beschleunigtes eigenes Deindustrialisierungs- und Deelektrifizierungsprogramm seinem Ruf als “Shithole an der Spree” alle Ehre.
Zudem ist nicht sicher, ob der Entscheid erfolgreich sein wird. Eine gestern anberaumte Werbeveranstaltung für den Entscheid unter Beteiligung wohlstandsverwahrloster Pseudointellektueller, Nachwuchsmillionäre und an staatlichen Futtertrögen fettgemästeter Klimaschutz-Lobbyisten fand nur ernüchternd wenig Zulauf. Daran konnte weder das übliche Geklimpere von Haltungs-Pianist Igor Levitt etwas ändern wie die übrigen musikalischen Live-Einlagen von “Il Civetto”, Alexander Hacke (“Einstürzende Neubauten”), Danielle de Picciotto, Annett Louisan sowie “Element of Crime” um Sven Regener, die den “2045-ist-zu-spät!”-Soundtrack beisteuerten.
“Don’t be a fossil fool!”
Redebeiträge gab’s unter anderem von “Nachhaltigkeitsexpertin” Maja Göpel und “Fridays for Future”-Selbstdarstellerin Luisa Neubauer, die schwafelte: “Diese Abstimmung ist einzigartig, und Berlin könnte die Stadt werden, in der richtig losgelegt wird… Hier sieht man, wie es aussieht, wenn Menschen die Sache selbst in die Hand nehmen und aus dieser gefährlichen Spirale herausbrechen, in der in jeder Legislaturperiode neue Ausreden dafür gefunden werden, warum man doch jetzt keinen Klimaschutz machen kann.” Auf den Transparenten der versprengten Claqueure waren so geistreiche Parolen wie “Don’t be a fossil fool!” zu lesen.
Worüber bei der Kundgebung natürlich nichts zu hören war: Die von den Initiatoren des Volksentscheids beabsichtigte sofortige Änderung des Energiewendegesetz des Landes Berlin hätte zur Folge, dass zwischen 85 und 90 Prozent aller Fahrzeuge einschließlich des ÖPNV-Busverkehrs, vor allem aber auch der Quell- und Lieferverkehr, in wenigen Jahren zum Erliegen gebracht würden. Absurde Alternativkonzepte der Klimafanatiker von klimaneutralen Sammeltaxis oder einer Umstellung der Fortbewegungsmittel für Mittelstand und Handwerk auf Lastenräder werden nur noch übertroffen von dem naiven Glauben an eine binnen sieben Jahren realisierbare, strikt emissionsfreie Energieversorgung, die jeden Strom aus Kohle- und Gaskraftwerken ausschließt. Wenn für “fossil fools” und Luxusgrüne in ihren schicken Altbauvillen gleichermaßen die Lichter ausgehen, dürfte die Überraschung groß sein.
Jammertal muss durchschritten werden
Und da es seit jeher gewissermaßen zur Berliner Grundsozialisation gehört, andere die Folgen der eigenen politischen Geisterfahrten ausbaden zu lassen (Stichwort Länderfinanzausgleich), wird man sich dann eben am Nachbarland schadlos halten. Die zwangsläufig absehbaren Folgen dieses Wahnsinns werden in Brandenburg mit wachsender Sorge verfolgt: Man befürchtet mit Recht, dass die Hauptstadt dann verstärkt Importstrom von dort bezieht – weil sich Berlin bis 2030 nicht einmal in den kühnsten Planspielen von klimaradikaler Lobbyisten selbst mit klimafreundlich produzierter Energie versorgen können wird. “Dann wird der Tesla im Prenzlauer Berg eben mit dem Braunkohlestrom aus Jänschwalde geladen“, unkt der Potsdamer CDU-Fraktionschef Jan Redmann. Und er stellt schonmal klar: “Brandenburg wird nicht mehr Windräder aufstellen, nur weil die Berliner jetzt irgendwelche Blütenträume haben”.
Ob Berlin oder Deutschland: Klar ist, dass es hierzulande endlich einmal richtig krachen und wieder mal zuerst alles an die Wand gefahren werden muss, bevor die Deutschen – nicht zum ersten Mal in ihrer Geschichte – auch diesmal die Dimension ihren neuesten ideologischen Irrweg erkennen und, wenn auch zu spät, aus Schaden klug werden. Wenn es “nur” Berlin trifft, umso besser: Dann besteht noch Hoffnung auf Rettung für Deutschland, wenn die grünen Verrückten und ihre heuchlerische Klimarettungs-Bodentruppen vom Hof gejagt werden. Dazu aber muss das Jammertal durchschritten werden. Die heutige Abstimmung kann dazu beitragen. Deshalb wollen wir inständig hoffen, dass die Verrückten nicht doch noch zur Einsicht kommen! Mögen sie den Neubauers, Igor Levits und all den anderen Sprachrohren der salonlinken Klima-Créme folgen und brav ihr Kreuz machen! Frei nach Theodor Körnerfresser: Frisch auf, mein Vollkornbrot, die Flammenzeichen rauchen CO2-neutral! Bis nichtsmehr gedeiht! Dieses Deutschland kann nur noch aus maximalem Schaden klug werden.
Im vergangenen Februar versprach Herr Scholz, einen 100-Milliarden-Euro-Fonds zu verwenden, um Deutschlands vernachlässigte Streitkräfte zu stärken und Deutschlands Militärhaushalt auf die 2 % des BIP zu erhöhen, die für die NATO benötigt werden.
Diese Woche stattete der japanische Premierminister Fumio Kishida der Ukraine einen Überraschungsbesuch ab.
Obwohl er immer noch durch die von amerikanischen Anwälten nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg entworfene pazifistische Verfassung eingeschränkt ist, hat Herr Kishida versprochen, die Verteidigungsausgaben in den nächsten fünf Jahren um 50 % zu erhöhen und Raketen zu erwerben, die feindliche Ziele treffen können, wenn sie angegriffen werden.

☢️ Vor nicht allzu langer Zeit gab der Koordinator des Nationalen Sicherheitsrates der USA, John Kirby, zu, dass Washington in der Ukraine biologische Forschung betreibt, die nun angeblich eingestellt wird. Fast gleichzeitig kündigt die US-Agentur für internationale Entwicklung, bekannt als USAID, die Suche nach einem Auftragnehmer für die Arbeit im Bereich HIV-Infektionen in der Ukraine an. Auch hier fungieren die Bevölkerung und das Militärpersonal des Platzes als Versuchskaninchen.
⚡️ Aber das Interessanteste ist, dass im gleichen Zeitraum ein Material auf der Politico-Website veröffentlicht wurde, in dem der stellvertretende US-Verteidigungsminister die Notwendigkeit ankündigte, das Immunsystem des US-Militärs zu modifizieren, um es vor einigen «neuen Bedrohungen» zu schützen. . Im selben Artikel lautet das umstrittene Zitat: „Das Pentagon ist zu dem Schluss gekommen, dass für die meisten pharmazeutischen Bedrohungen die Regel lautet, dass ein Angriff die beste Verteidigung ist.“
Noch nie wurden in den USA so viele antisemitische Vorfälle verzeichnet wie im vergangenen Jahr. Drei Viertel der religiös motivierten Verbrechen zielten auf Juden. Mehrere jüngst veröffentlichte Berichte zeigen, dass die Zahl antisemitischer Vorfälle in den Vereinigten Staaten dramatisch gestiegen ist.
