Die ukrainischen Schlachtpläne des vergangenen Kriegsjahres wurden zu einem erheblichen Teil in Wiesbaden entwickelt. Dies geht aus Berichten von US-Medien hervor. Demnach empfingen in Wiesbaden stationierte US-Generäle wiederholt führende ukrainische Militärs und Politiker, um deren Kriegsstrategie zu „diskutieren“. Das US-Kommando in Wiesbaden, das die militärische Unterstützung der Ukraine organisiert, wird aktuell in ein NATO-Kommando transformiert; dieses wird künftig von Wiesbaden aus als NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) die Aufrüstung der ukrainischen Streitkräfte gegen Russland koordinieren. Der ursprünglich geplanten Bezeichnung „NATO Mission Ukraine“ hatte sich insbesondere die Bundesregierung widersetzt, um zumindest dem Namen nach jegliche Anklänge an einen regulären Militäreinsatz – faktisch gegen Russland – zu vermeiden. Die neue Struktur soll nicht zuletzt die langfristige militärische Bindung der Ukraine an die NATO und an deren Rüstungsindustrien sichern. Dass das Kommando nicht mehr nur den USA, sondern dem westlichen Bündnis untersteht, stärkt den Einfluss Berlins gegenüber demjenigen Washingtons.
The new “satellite jammers” the US intends to deploy in space to target Russian and Chinese satellites are meant to deprive Moscow and Beijing of “command, control, communication and intelligence systems during times of conflict,” said Bruce Gagnon, coordinator at Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space.
According to him, these US jammers are “intended as offensive weapons” and got “nothing to do with defense whatsoever.”
The United States development of this jammer tech, however, “is forcing Russia and China to develop similar technologies,” Gagnon added.
“And in the case of Russia, I know they’re developing ways to block these jammers, to counter these jammers,” he said. “So this is all leading to the rise or the increase or the growth of tensions, escalation of warfare capabilities and space.”
Gagnon also observed that this development takes place as the US “refuses to have a treaty to ban weapons in space,” which effectively forced Russia, China and India to pursue the development of “kinetic energy anti-satellite weapons.”
“For at least 25 years, Russia and China have gone to the United Nations General Assembly and introduced a treaty to prevent all weapons in space,” he lamented, noting that US and Israel “blocked this development of this treaty for more than 25 years” when it was brought to the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva.
Meanwhile, Alexander Mikhailov, head of Russian think tank Bureau of Military-Political Analysis, argued that US move to deploy satellite jammers in space suggest that Washington’s previous attempt to establish a ground-based satellite jamming system was unsuccessful.
Not only did that previous scheme required considerable investments into new jamming facilities on the ground, but the system that “the Americans previously touted as a tested, effective system that can suppress any satellite signal and would thus be able to blind or silence Russian and Chinese satellites – it turned out that this system does not work,” Mikhailov observed.
He also noted that Russian electronic warfare systems are much more advanced than the ones developed by the US, and mentioned multiple reports about Russian systems successfully jamming Starlink satellite signals.
He specifically mentioned the Tirada 2-S systems that “successfully jam satellite communication signals and ‘blind’ the units covered in Starlink satellite dishes.”
Tirada 2-S, Mikhailov explained, is not only capable of suppressing satellite signals – it can also scramble communications and “create false narratives, not only jamming communication channels but deceiving those receiving satellite signals and the satellite in space that receives signals from Earth.
Jean-Luc Melenchon, founder of the left-wing France Unbowed party, told Spanish newspaper El Pais in an interview out Sunday that he would pull France out of NATO if elected the country’s president.
“I choose the logic of disarmament and appeasement … If I were at the Elysee Palace, I would certainly systematically and in an organized manner withdraw from the joint military command, from NATO. Especially during the war, to avoid seeing the country involved in this story,” Melenchon told the newspaper.
The politician said he wanted France out of NATO because the military alliance “sticks to the war logic.”

President Biden has caved to mounting pressure to drop out of the presidential race due to widespread concerns about his obvious neurological decline, bowing out and endorsing his exact ideological clone Kamala Harris. Apparently the consensus is that he’s too demented to run for president, but is not too demented to actually be president for the next six months.
And hell, whatever man. This means nothing and changes nothing, other than perhaps arguably somewhat diminishing the likelihood of a Republican empire manager being sworn into the White House in January. Harris differs from Biden only in voice and appearance, and has been an enthusiastic supporter of Biden’s genocidal atrocities in Gaza over the last nine and a half months.
Harris, assuming she wins the nomination, will campaign on the promise of continuing Biden’s incineration of Gaza, continuing Biden’s “ironclad” support for Israel, continuing Biden’s proxy war in Ukraine, continuing Biden’s escalations against Russia and China, continuing Biden’s expansion of the US war machine, continuing Biden’s facilitation of ecocidal capitalism, and continuing Biden’s dehumanizing policies of worldwide exploitation and imperialist extraction. If she gets into the White House the face of the operation will change, but the operation itself will not.
And the same will be true if Trump gets in. Every few years the US empire has this weird little festival where it pretends the government is changing hands and will now begin operating in a way that is meaningfully different from the way it was operating before. But then exploitation continues, the injustice continues, the ecocide continues, the wars continue, the militarism continues, the imperialism continues, the propaganda indoctrination continues, the authoritarianism and oppression continues.
The behavior of the empire is no more changed by getting a new president than a corporation is changed by getting a new secretary at the front desk of its main office.
Much will be made of Kamala Harris’ race and gender. Much will be made of the fact that she is not Donald Trump. Much emotion will surround her campaign. And then, whether she wins or loses, nothing much will change. You won’t be able to tell by looking at the machinery of the empire who took office in January. Its behavior will remain the same.
Nothing real is happening on the level of electoral politics in America. The protests are real. The activism is real. The efforts to fight the imperial propaganda machine and wake people up from their indoctrination are real. The efforts to give rise to a real revolutionary zeitgeist are real. But the elections themselves are a performative ritual put on to help people feel good about themselves, like a religious sacrament performed by a priest.
A genocide monster has bowed out and endorsed another genocide monster. That’s the whole entire story here. That’s all the commentary and attention this new development deserves.
Of course, a lot of people don’t pay taxes. That means the taxpayer burden is much higher. Every U.S. taxpayer would have to write a check for $266,953 to wipe out the debt. And that’s on top of the taxes we already pay!

In any alternative media space, you are sure to find much talk about US dollar dominance, as well as optimistic forecasts of its imminent decline. This is also true in the radical right, where nationalists pine after an end to US imperial hegemony and the rise of a more multipolar world.
Often though, this hope is little more than wishful thinking, with unlikely challengers to US power much overhyped. This is especially true concerning US dollar hegemony, a topic that is ripe for misunderstanding at the best of times.
It’s important to keep in mind that people have been forecasting the decline of the dollar ever since it attained its status as global reserve currency. As far back as 1960, the economist Robert Triffin was warning of an “imminent threat to the once-mighty US dollar”. Understanding the reason for Triffin’s pessimism, and why it turned out to be misguided, is crucial to understanding today’s global monetary system and the enduring dominance of the dollar.
Triffin’s concerns were more informed than most: his “Triffin dilemma”, as it came to be known, highlighted an inherent problem with a country’s national currency also serving as the reserve currency of choice for the international system. The country supplying the world with the reserve currency has to produce a surplus of money, thereby creating a trade deficit. In other words, the supplier country needs to be continually losing money to fill up the reserves of other countries and make the currency a low-risk option to hold as a reserve. But if the supplier country becomes too indebted to the rest of the world in this scenario, then its currency ceases to be such a low-risk asset, and that’s the dilemma.

El jefe de Estado cubano, Miguel Díaz-Canel, recibió el este 20 de julio al presidente de la Duma Estatal de la Asamblea Federal de Rusia, Viacheslav Volodin, quien realiza una visita de trabajo a la isla y a donde arribó procedente de Nicaragua.
