It’s the first time in American history that Congress has voted to block the DOD from funding all experiments on dogs and cats.

The University of Pittsburgh electro-shocks cats to induce erections and defecate foreign objects. And it’s funded by the DOD’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
In one of these DARPA-funded experiments, UPitt sliced open the backs of male cats to expose their spines. The white coats then implanted electrodes and fired off electric shocks—while the incision was still open—to give the cats erections.
The cats were shocked for up to 10 minutes at a time, had their spinal cords cut to paralyze their lower body, and then were shocked for an additional 10 minutes.
In another disturbing experiment, the DOD paid UPitt to attach electrodes to cats’ spinal cords, insert condom-balloons into the cats’ colons, and marbles into their rectums. Then they forced the cats to defecate the foreign objects via electric shock.
One cat had four marbles inserted. He endured the electric shocks for 11 minutes straight.
This tax-funded torture is eerily reminiscent of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ “cat-stipation” experiments. At the infamous Stokes lab, the VA slashed cats’ spinal cords and shoved bran and potato flour in their anuses. WCW exposed this lab in 2020, and after a fervent campaign, shut it down in 2021.
UPitt’s strange experiments were funded by a $10.8 million contract with the DOD—the money will be paid through 2025.

Towards the end of the election campaign, the Conservatives pulled the political corpse of Boris Johnson out of the closet. Tom had to cut short his holiday in Sardinia to return to Britain and campaign for the Tories.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has imposed sanctions on nearly a dozen US authorities for their role in suppressing pro-Palestinian protests that erupted at university campuses across the United States in condemnation of Israel’s bloody onslaught against the Gaza Strip.
The ministry announced in a statement on Wednesday that the punitive measures were taken in accordance with the Law on “Countering the Violation of Human Rights and Adventurous and Terrorist Activities of the United States in the Region”, (2017) particularly Article 5, which blacklists the following American individuals for their involvement in violation of human rights by quashing the peaceful rallies.
The Americans targeted by the sanctions are as follows:
1. William Billy Hitchens, Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety of Georgia,
2. Eddie Grier, Commanding Officer over Field Operations of Georgia,
3. Linda J. Stump-Kurnick, Chief of the University of Florida Police Department,
4. Pamela A. Smith, Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia,
The statement further noted that the above-mentioned individuals will be subject to sanctions, pursuant to Articles 6, 7 and 8 of the Sixth Section of the Law.
Accordingly, their accounts and transactions will be blocked in the Iranian financial and banking systems, and their assets will be frozen within the jurisdiction of the Islamic Republic of Iran. No visa grating their entry to the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be issued as well.
“All relevant national organizations and institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran will take necessary measures for the effective implementation of the sanctions, in accordance with the regulations adopted by the related authorities,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry pointed out.
Pro-Palestine student protests initially broke out at the campus of the University of California, Los Angeles in mid-April, with demonstrators calling for the end of the Gaza war and divestment with Israel.
Despite harsh crackdowns, including mass suspensions, evictions from university housing, and arrests, protests sprung up across the US with footage emerging of students, professors, and journalists being violently detained by the police on campuses.
A new wave of demonstrations – marked by protesters setting up encampments on their campuses – also gripped the US while protests spread to other universities across the globe.

It was difficult to decide upon the title but “Making the Best of a Bad Situation: Recruiting Cannon Fodder for the Ukrainian Army” pretty much gives an oversight of what is now the most critical problem facing Ukraine, notwithstanding the constant ongoing issues such as lack of appropriate weapons, rampant corruption, untrained troops, lack of freedom of speech and apparent knowledge that the conflict with Russia is not winnable.
To be blunt, even if there were a victory in some sense, through the sort of mental gymnastics that the rapidly failing western hegemony has become infamous for, it still wouldn’t mean restoring Ukraine to its pre-2014 borders, as there would be set conditions as stipulated by the Russian Federation.
It is also becoming clear that the closed ranks of Western resolve, e.g., to support Ukraine unconditionally, no matter what, and it does not matter how long it will take, is starting to wear very thin indeed, in the face of both the staggering cost, and the atrophied state of western military manufacturing capability.
As we can already see from the results of the recent European elections, this policy has failed, the populace is moving further to the right, anti-war and [most likely] this reflects a lack of resolve from the onset. It should have been obvious from the “get go”. The actual situation now faced by Old Europe has evolved into more political rhetoric than anything with semblance of a Churchill like doctrine as to how and where they would fight against Russia.

It is ironic that the country that was able to deceive the same population that was so “gung ho” infighting for “Slava Ukraina” is now facing a human resource crisis in its ranks; some go so far as to claim that there arestill not enough warm bodies to keep feeding into the proverbial meat grinder as cannon fodder. Already the level of recruits has been severely diminished, and is definitely akin to scraping the bottom of the barrel, as already discussed in NEO.
Even Western publications, Washington Post, are admitting the obvious in terms of the number and quality of troops, basic training in Ukraine is barely covering the basics, and commanders say “how they are bracing for new troops under a new conscription law to arrive with poor training.”
This does not compare with an early burst of patriotic fervor which saw draft centers swamped with volunteers, that enthusiasm for voluntary enlistment has severely waned with [the SMO] in its third year, a situation not helped by the disastrous 2023 counter-offensive by the UAF (derisively described as “the great counter-oink” by Russian soldiers).
The average age of the Ukrainian soldier is now over 40, and it is obvious that the pool of potential recruits is fast diminishing – for obvious reasons, beyond the point of diminishing returns.
In a case of trying to put lipstick on a pig, western commentators try and pain this disastrous situation as a benefit, as we can see by the sort of psychopathic statement made by Nicholas Drummond, a former British Army officer and defense analyst, on the social media site X:
The average age of a Ukrainian soldier is 43 years old. Good. Old men can’t run away quickly, so they stand their ground, fight to the death, and then make themselves a cup of coffee.
Life is Cheap for the West
The will to fight is disappearing, and many understand that being mobilized and sent to the front is a one-way trip. Many deserters are escaping across the Romanian border and others who were out before the SMO, simply not returning to Ukraine. Crossing a border is a dangerous and sometimes fatal journey to exile, but hundreds continue to cross the border each month.
The Ukrainian border police are now mining some areas to stem the exodus, something that they singularly failed to do in the border areas with Russia near Kharkov, one might add. I guess it’s safer to plant mines to kill your fellow countrymen on a peaceful border than to do it where the Russians may decide to stop you
The BBC reported last year how “enforcing the draft in Ukraine can be difficult and corruption is recognized as a major problem by the authorities. Claiming reliable sources in western Ukraine who told of the existence of a “monthly rate” – a payment made to keep someone out of the army.”
Only Natural Thing to do!
Why should Ukrainian, men between 18 and 60 years of age be part of a military that is already without hope of victory, serving an unelected president? Just how dire the situation is, is something that Western policy planners should have known from the beginning! However, they still insist that more money and weapons will bring their ultimate victory, but the problem remains replacement troops. What point is there in supplying equipment and weapons when there is nobody to properly use them?
Already, many of the most patriotic have surrendered or are long dead; especially those in the first line of NATO trained shock troops. And the number of draft age people has dwindled, due mostly to them escaping to the West, especially to Europe, and so many so, that countries as Germany and Poland are considering forcibly sending them home to do their duty to God and Country. However, they are fearful of being deported back to Ukraine by their host countries, so to fight and die for a lost cause.
It is interesting to note that the Russians are now offering citizenship to Ukrainians abroad, to allow them to avoid being forcibly returned to Ukraine to be fed into the insatiable mobilization meat grinder. There are many very good reasons why so many men in Ukraine don’t want to fight, especially in what is obviously a brother fighting brother war imposed from outside. It is especially difficult among various ethnic minorities, Romanians and Hungarians, who see themselves as being made expendable by intentional design.
Some left Ukraine in order to avoid the draft. Others served on the front before throwing down their arms. “Everything that is happening now is crazy, and it sounds quite similar to what we discussed, that freedom of speech and opposite point of view now in Ukraine is a dangerous thing.”
The same thing is happening now in the US, and Western Europe with censorship and the fear of speaking out. Ukrainians are starting to realize that it is all a game, they have no freedom and are only be used as [cannon fodder], as in a meat grinder. I think many people understand this too, but are not able to speak out openly. I’ll tell you more; even soldiers on the front line already realized it.
Press Gangs Not Enough
Many Ukrainians, both refugees and those who want no part of this proxy war, have also found their way to Russia and other former Soviet countries rather than be pressed into fighting their ethnic kin in what they perceive to be a waste of life and resources—a needless war.
This makes the pool of fresh recruits even more limited, a soldier who has not his heart in the fight, and is forced to serve against his will, is a threat to himself and the unit – and that is perhaps why both Ukraine and the West understand that international soldiers of fortune may help to fill some of the gap, however, with the front so stretched thin, and fewer and fewer troops to move to weak points, the situation will soon become all the more hopeless, especially in the face of ever-increasing Russian strength and tactical and strategic abilities learned on the battlefield
Surely, logic would dictate that it is time for Ukraine and the west to swallow their pride, and sit down with the Russians and talk honestly. Unfortunately, such logic seems rare, if not non-existent in western capitals, where political leaders behave like gambling addicts in a casino, “just one more bet and I will win big!” while losing the house and impoverishing their families.
It is easy to understand why Ukraine is increasingly struggling to recruit enough fresh troops, and why many of those eligible to be drafted would rather not fight. Nobody wants to fight for the interests of others. This meat grinder isn’t about Ukraine’s interest, it’s about western interests!

Armed Jews have seized about 2,370 hectares of land in the occupied West Bank this year alone, culminating in the largest land grab in over three decades, according to an Israeli settlement watchdog.
The anti-settlement group Peace Now reported on Wednesday that Israeli authorities have declared 3,138 acres (1,269 hectares) of land in the Jordan Valley as “state land”, paving the way for the construction of hundreds of settlement housing units.
According to the watchdog, the seizure, which was approved last month but only published on Wednesday, is the largest land grab since the 1993 Oslo Accords.
The move follows a series of similar land seizures across the occupied West Bank, with 1,976 acres (800 hectares) seized in the Jordan Valley in March and a further 652 acres (264 hectares) between the settlements of Maale Adumim and Kedar in February.
“2024 marks the peak in the extent of declarations of state land,” Peace Now said in a statement.

The group estimated that Israel declared 5,856 acres (2,370 hectares) of the West Bank as state land since the beginning of 2024.
A plan to annex the West Bank
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has overseen a surge in Palestinian land seizures and settlement expansions since gaining sweeping authority over settlement planning in the occupied West Bank.
Last month, at a conference for his National Religious Party-Religious Zionism party, Smotrich admitted that Israel was advancing a plan to annex the West Bank “without the government being accused of annexing it”.
In a recording obtained by Peace Now, Smotrich stated that the land seizures in 2024 “are roughly 10 times the average in previous years”. He estimated that “by the end of the year, between 10,000 and 15,000 additional dunams [1,000 to 1,500 hectares] will be declared [as state lands]”.
In May, Smotrich instructed Israeli government ministries to prepare to accommodate an additional 500,000 settlers in the West Bank, including the development of infrastructure and services in settlements and outposts.
In February, Peace Now reported that in 2023, settlers established at least 26 new illegal outposts in the West Bank, with 10 of them following the outbreak of war in Gaza on October 7.
Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem are illegal under international law.
Despite this, more than 700,000 settlers are thought to live in over 200 settlements and outposts across the territory.

President Biden authorized Ukraine to “conduct limited attacks inside Russia with American-made weapons,” U.S. officials said. Some U.S. allies had already gone further. Britain weeks ago allowed Ukraine to use its long-range Storm Shadow missile systems for attacks anywhere in Russia, and France and Germany recently took the same position.
The decision announced by President Biden is due in particular to pressure from Secretary of State Antony Blinken to lift restrictions on Ukraine’s use of U.S. weapons. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg was tasked with pre-announcing Washington’s decision to the European Allies. Speaking at the Council of the European Union, he said,
“According to international law, Ukraine has the right to self-defense. And the right to self-defense also includes hitting legitimate military targets inside Russia.”
At the same time Poland announced the purchase of long-range missiles from the United States and declared it was “ready to host NATO nuclear weapons.” Sweden did the same: having just joined NATO, it declared that it was “willing to host U.S. nuclear weapons in case of war.”
France has tested a new air-launched nuclear missile and allocated 13 percent of its military budget to upgrading its nuclear weaponry.
Against what targets in Russia the long-range missiles supplied by the U.S. and other NATO countries to Ukraine are directed is shown by the news released by Kiev that “a Ukrainian drone targeted a second Russian long-range military radar.” This is an early warning radar designed to detect even hypersonic ballistic missiles and aircraft up to 10,000 km away.
It is impossible for the Ukrainian military to carry out such an attack alone deep into Russian territory. The Ukrainian army is in increasing difficulty, so much so that Kiev has passed a law allowing it to recruit from prisons ordinary prisoners, even criminals, willing to go to the front in exchange for freedom.
For more such an attack requires a satecllitary military network that Ukraine does not have. Conducting such attacks against Russia are actually U.S. and NATO forces under U.S. command. Countries like Italy, which “host” U.S. nuclear weapons, violating the Non-Proliferation Treaty, are thus turned into the front line of a nuclear confrontation with Russia that is more dangerous than that of the Cold War.

Germany continues its irrational “preparation for war” against Russia. Recent media reports indicate that the country’s military counterintelligence service is about to receive additional support to prepare itself against foreign threats in the event of a conflict with Russia. Berlin seems to be ready to take all possible steps towards an open war with Moscow, even though there is obviously no possibility of Germany being victorious in such a conflict.
Germany’s Military Counterintelligence Service (MAD) is apparently preparing for a conflict scenario. According to the German newspaper Welt, the MAD is seeking to expand its operational capacity, not only in domestic territories but also abroad. The aim is to make the German armed forces capable of dealing with the challenges that a war scenario poses. The MAD plans to become capable of monitoring not only the activities of German soldiers – which is typical of counterintelligence services — but also spying on foreign and enemy troops.
“The amendment grants the Military Counterintelligence Service the necessary powers to protect the Bundeswehr against espionage and sabotage by foreign powers, as well as against extremist attempts at infiltration from within its own ranks, even during foreign missions,” a spokesperson for the German Ministry of Defense said during an official statement.
The agency plans to use both advanced technology and infiltrated personnel to obtain strategic information from foreign armed forces. Welt reported that expanding MAD’s powers is currently a priority for the German Defense Ministry, which is betting on intelligence as an efficient tool to give Berlin a strategic advantage in the event of war. The Ministry’s plan is in line with Olaf Scholz’s policy of open enmity with the Russian Federation, being Moscow seen by Germany as a threat not only to national security but also to the stability of Europe as a whole.
A bill is about to be voted on to formalize the expansion of MAD’s powers. Given the high level of anti-Russian paranoia in Germany, it is highly likely that the bill will be approved. However, it must be remembered that the German government is extremely unpopular, having occurred a strong rise in the right wing during the recent elections. In practice, it is possible to say that anti-Russian measures have strong institutional support, but they do not please ordinary people, who want the country to follow a path of peace and stability.
Recently, the German authorities have established an action plan to maintain a kind of “war-ready brigade”, deploying around 5,000 German soldiers on NATO’s eastern flank. The Baltic countries, mainly Lithuania, are the main focus of action in this plan, given their geographical proximity to the Russian territory of Kaliningrad and the border with the Republic of Belarus. Germany believes in the baseless narrative that Russia plans to invade Poland and Lithuania in order to annex territories connecting Belarus to Kaliningrad, which is why Berlin is proposing to “closely monitor” the situation in the region.
It is expected that the new powers of the MAD will allow the German secret service to support NATO partners in this task of monitoring Russian actions. Currently, the MAD has extremely limited operational capabilities, as the agency is only legally allowed to operate within German military facilities. Berlin wants to change this scenario and allow actions abroad, as it sees the current situation with Russia as serious and dangerous, demanding reforms in German military law.
Obviously, every country has the right to change the structure of its intelligence system to improve national security. The problem is when these changes are motivated by unreal “threats” invented by US-backed foreign media. There is no Russian interest in promoting territorial expansion towards the Baltics. The recent territorial reintegration of some former Ukrainian oblasts does not mean that Russia has any expansionist plans. Moscow only accepted the desire of these regions to join the Federation because there was no other way to guarantee the security of the ethnic Russians living there, but there is no interest on Russia’s part in acquiring new territories in Western Europe.
Germany is simply preparing to face a fake threat. Moreover, it is doing so in an amateurish and naive manner. It does not seem rational for a country to publicly announce its plan to expand its intelligence service and use spies abroad. Now, Germany’s “enemies” – which, in this specific case, are the Russians — have all the necessary information to also react through counterintelligence operations. In practice, Berlin has neutralized its own intelligence potential, which shows how unprepared the country is to join any military initiative. The best for Germany is to focus on its own internal problems instead of seeking to wage unwinnable wars.
