Kim Jong Un ist auf den Flughafen gekommen, um Wladimir Wladimirowitsch Putin zu empfangen. The risk of World War III breaking out is now higher than it’s ever been since the Cuban Missile Crisis due to the US’ dangerous game of nuclear chicken with Russia, and the only reason why everything got to this point in the first place is because Poland helped sabotage spring 2022’s peace talks in collusion with the UK.
The New York Times published the full version of the spring 2022 draft peace treaty between Russia and Ukraine over the weekend, which confirmed a lot of what was previously reported but also included some interesting details from unnamed diplomatic sources about why these talks ultimately failed. According to a European one who was present at the Extraordinary Summit of NATO Heads of State and Government on 24 March 2022, Polish President Andrzej Duda dramatically railed against this deal:
“Leaders in Poland — early and strong supporters of Ukraine — feared that Germany or France might try to persuade the Ukrainians to accept Russia’s terms, according to a European diplomat, and wanted to prevent that from happening.
To that end, when Poland’s president, Andrzej Duda, met with NATO leaders in Brussels on March 24, he held up the March 17 text, said the diplomat, who was present. ‘Which of you would sign it?’ Mr. Duda asked his counterparts, the diplomat said. None of the NATO leaders spoke up.”
It was already observed on 29 March 2022 that “Poland’s Ruling Party Helped Provoke The Worst Security Crisis Since WWII”, albeit for different reasons than what was just revealed, namely the way in which their self-interested anti-Russian fearmongering helped reshape the US’ deep state dynamics. Now there’s no question that Poland was actively trying to sabotage the Russian-Ukrainian peace talks and that its efforts predated former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s infamous trip to Kiev.
President Putin confirmed in his interview with Tucker Carlson earlier this year what Zelensky’s top ally David Arakhamia disclosed in late November about how that leader convinced Ukraine to keep fighting. In his words, “the fact that they obeyed the demand or persuasion of Mr. Johnson, the former Prime Minister of Great Britain, seems ridiculous and very sad to me.” It’s now known, however, that there was more leading up to this than even the Russian leader himself thought as recently as four months ago.
Duda’s dramatic display at March 2022’s NATO meeting did more for unifying the West around the cause of perpetuating their proxy war on Russia through Ukraine than anything else that’s thus far been reported. This in turn greatly facilitated Johnson’s subsequent trip to Kiev over two weeks later where he was then able to convince his hosts that the West has their back if they keep fighting. His country and Poland also had an ace up their sleeves to play just in case France and Germany pushed for peace.
They and Ukraine forged an informal alliance on 17 February 2022 in the literal week before the start of Russia’s specialoperation, which evaded most observers’ attention due to the fast-moving events that preceded the latest phase of this decade-long conflict. So long as Poland was in favor of continuing hostilities, which nobody had any doubt about but hadn’t earlier known just how zealous it was, then the UK could rely on it as a land bridge for the emergency dispatch of military equipment to Ukraine.
The whole point in agreeing to form this pact was to give Ukraine the ability to keep fighting if it chose to in the event that conventional hostilities broke out with Russia like they did a week later. Ukraine knew that the UK’s commitment was rock-solid due to its centuries-long policy of dividing-and-ruling Europe, while Duda hyperbolically reaffirmed Poland’s two weeks before Johnson’s visit to Kiev, which wasn’t previously reported but would have obviously been passed along to Ukraine at the time.
The Polish leader’s dramatic display set the stage for his meeting with Johnson right before the latter’s trip to Kiev, therefore convincing Zelensky that he does indeed have a credible means to perpetuate the conflict with the view of ending it on better terms. Had it not been for Duda making a big show out of his country’s opposition to the draft peace treaty and pledging his support for Ukraine with Johnson, then Zelensky might have doubted Poland’s commitment to their alliance, thus saving the peace process.
The newfound insight that Poland was just as much to blame as Britain for sabotaging spring 2022’s peace talks vindicates Confederation party chairman and newly elected MEP Grzegorz Braun for what he said in an interview over the weekend. He shared his concerns from 6:00-8:23 about Poland once again being exploited by the Anglo-American Axis to usher in another new world order that would follow his country sparking World War III in the coming future just like the role that it played for them in1939.

If Poland conventionally intervenes in Ukraine, then the risks of World War III breaking out would instantly spike, which could turn his warning about its historical role in global affairs into a prophecy.

Russia is fighting against imperialist policies that have been being imposed by the United States for decades, Russian President Vladimir Putin told a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in an extended format on Wednesday.
“I am referring to our struggle against the hegemonic policy imposed for decades, the imperialist policy of the United States and satellites towards the Russian Federation,” Putin said, thanking the North Korean leader for supporting Russia’s policy, including in the Ukrainian crisis.
As France prepares for early parliamentary elections, its political parties are ganging up on each other, accusing each other of pandering to different forms of extremism. The anxiety they are showing and the violence they are stirring up are not equal to the stakes. Everyone points to the past mistakes of others, but no one analyzes the reasons for the profound social crisis that the country, and with it the whole of the West, is going through. The problem is not to resolve this or that shortcoming, but to radically change the paradigm of political action and adapt it to a society whose economy is now based on information technology rather than industry.
THE DISSOLUTION OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
The dissolution of the French National Assembly, announced by President Emmanuel Macron following the results of the European elections, plunges France into chaos. Commentators question why the President of the Republic, whose party is expected to be wiped out in the legislative elections, is committing such suicide. They have no answer, probably because they’re asking the wrong question.
For my part, I’m considering the hypothesis that it was not Emmanuel Macron who took this decision, but the investors who placed him in the Élysée Palace. Their problem is not to make the current president last. He’s completely demonetized. But to launch the next one: a successor capable of pursuing the same policies, but with a new speech. Once he’s in power, he’ll continue the same work, to the detriment of the French people.
Already, the European elections have put Raphaël Glucksmann to the test. Former husband of Eka Zgouladze, Minister of the Interior under Mikheil Saakashvili (Georgia), then Deputy Interior Minister of Petro Poroshenko (Ukraine), he now lives with French-Lebanese journalist Léa Salamé, granddaughter of Armenian jeweller Robert Boghossian and daughter of former Lebanese minister Ghassan Salamé.
Raphaël Glucksmann is the grandson of philosopher Jeannette Colombel, who became a friend of Jean-Paul Sartre, Michel Foucault and Gilles Deleuze. Raphaël is also the son of the “new philosopher” André Glucksmann, himself a former employee of Freedom House [1]
He professes the same primal Russophobia as his grandmother after 1968 and his father. According to his “donors”, he would make a good successor to Emmanuel Macron.
It should be remembered that we do not believe that Emmanuel Macron is a Rothschild Boy, but a product of Henry Kravis, as I wrote six years ago [2]. Since then, Henry Kravis’s wife has become president of the Bilderberg Group and our friend Xavier Niels (Free), who played a central role in exploiting the data that helped elect Emmanuel Macron [3], now son-in-law of Bernard Arnault (LVMH), has been appointed administrator of the Kravis investment fund (KKR).
THE INEVITABLE CHAOS
The period ahead is one of chaos. Three political forces seem to be battling it out, but none of them offers any analysis of the situation. France is at a standstill. It’s better to live on benefits than to work for a small salary. Public debt stood at 3,101 billion euros at the end of 2023, or 110.6% of GDP. Administrations are very expensive, but deliver poor quality services.
The armed forces would not last three days against Russia. The police are out-dated in the colonies of New Caledonia and Mayotte [4] and refrain from entering certain neighbourhoods in metropolitan France. The justice system takes years to judge a crime, and prisons are overcrowded, sometimes by more than 250% [5]. A very large number of students with B.A.s can decipher a text, but cannot read a book. The hospital staff spend a third of their time filling out forms, and no longer have time to look after their patients. Fraud, particularly in social security and tax, seems to be reaching records. Illegal drug sales play such an important economic role (around 3 billion euros) that it is included in the calculation of GDP. The inequalities are such that while nearly 3 million French people (4.25% of the of the population) are millionaires in dollars [6], nearly a third of French people live on less than 100 euros on the 10th of the month [7].
No one in particular is responsible for this disastrous result. But no one has done anything to prevent it. We are living in a period of transition, towards a computerized society in which the organizing principles of industrial society no longer work. So we can’t govern, no matter how masterfully we manage things. We have to invent what we don’t yet know.
Political parties and trade unions, organized pyramid-style on the industrial model, only propose solutions from the industrial age, i.e., solutions conceived in the past, whose very prolongation is precisely the problem.
This situation is not unique to France but to all the countries that were the winners of the industrial era and which, with the exception of Russia, make up the “collective West”. Russia is a special case insofar as it was one of these winners, but collapsed with the dissolution of the Soviet Union and has since rebuilt itself outside the old model. However, it does not know what will follow but is open to it. It is perhaps this particularity that explains the current prevailing Russophobia.
We say three forces: the Union of the Righties around the Rassemblement National, the preservation of the system around Emmanuel Macron, and the Popular Front, preparing for a Glucksmann era.
The Union des Droites is going through two crises. “Reconquête” is divided between its founder Éric Zemmour and its stars who, around Marion Maréchal-Le Pen, allied themselves with the “Rassemblent national”, on the other, “Les Républicains”, which is divided between its militants and its president, Éric Ciotti, who aspire to this and, on the other, its notables, who refuse. The fate of Reconquête has been cast, as Éric Zemmour is on his own, while that of the of the Républicains is being played out in the courts, its Political Bureau having a discreet Masonic meeting, illegally decided to expel its president.
Emmanuel Macron’s camp, baptized “Ensemble pour la République”, can’t count on its -catastrophic- record to campaign. He is banking on the fear aroused by the others. Like them, he doesn’t offer any solutions but asserts that he is slowing down the country’s downfall. The “New Popular Front” brings together political parties that not long ago claimed to be irreconcilable. Fear of their own downfall led them to reach an agreement. The division came not between the parties, but within one of them. A few hours after releasing their list of candidates, five former MPs from “La France insoumise” (LFI) who were not on the list denounced the dictatorship of their party’s founder. That’s their way of looking at he. One might also observe that they were the only left-wing opponents of Raphaël Glucksmann to refuse to accept his irresistible rise.
None of these three coalitions proposes to adapt the rules of the game to the demands of the times. All their militants, disoriented, cling to a few ideas that no longer correspond to the times, or even to beliefs that they don’t share with the majority of other citizens.
On its website, Rassemblent National puts forth three issues: it denounces a government study on the savings to be made by de-indexing social benefits and retirement pensions; it denounces the government’s ban on Israeli companies at the Eurosatory Defense and Security Exhibition; – Finally, it announced that it was filing a complaint with the European Court of Justice against European Council decisions on the distribution of new immigrants to member states and the fines imposed on states refusing them.
Three press releases were designed to demonstrate the party’s commitment to defend French living standards and fight immigration, as well as a subliminal message that its xenophobia now outweighs the anti-Semitism of its founders.
“Renaissance”, Emmanuel Macron’s party, has only a brief website. It highlights 12 values, including progress, territorial initiative and feminism; values that it will define at a later date. It is unclear how he will reconcile some of these such as Europe with the Nation, the Republic and secularism. No matter, its militants need slogans, not reflection.
The 12 left-wing or ecologist political parties were still shouting at each other a week ago. However, they have managed to form a coalition, the New Popular Front, in four days. They have also signed a common program, which has the merit of existing, but which was hastily drafted. Each party slipped in its preferred themes without resolving the contradictions. No matter, voters will respond to the many slogans it contains. Incidentally, support for Ukraine against Russia. has been validated by all.
The 12 websites of the member parties showcase their shared belief in the human origin of climate change and their historical references to social struggles, but they avoid noting their opposition to the programs of the other coalition members. We are somewhat surprised to see a Trotskyist militia, “La Jeune Garde antifasciste” (JGA), and a pro-independence party, “Euskal Herria Bai” (EHB), are to be included in this coalition.
Incidentally, the division into three blocs reflects the electoral offer, not real cleavages. Each produces thematic publicities but no analysis of the crisis of civilization, let alone a response to it. The identity-based rhetoric that reared its head again during the campaign was not about the nation in the face of Europe or immigration, but about the landmarks that will remain in the society of the future.
PROJECTION
It is clear that political parties will not be able to respond to the current crisis, just to heal this or that wound.
The transition period is likely to be a long one. The end of the Ancien Régime and the beginning of a society based on equality of rights took 92 years, including 10 years of Revolution. During this period, citizens have been swayed more by their passions than by their reason. There is therefore an urgent need for accelerated training in political science and the dissemination of pluralistic information.
In einem kürzlich erschienenen Artikel bestätigt Reuters, was viele schon seit Jahren wussten: Die US-Regierung und ihre verschiedenen Ministerien und Behörden führen weltweit Desinformationskampagnen gegen Länder durch, die sie unterminieren und deren Regierungen sie stürzen wollen.
Washington schadete US-„Verbündeten“ absichtlich
Der Artikel mit dem Titel „Das Pentagon führte während der Pandemie eine geheime Anti-Impf-Kampagne durch, um China zu untergraben“ gibt zu:…Auf dem Höhepunkt der COVID-19-Pandemie startete das US-Militär eine geheime Kampagne, um dem seiner Meinung nach wachsenden Einfluss Chinas auf den Philippinen entgegenzuwirken, einem Land, das besonders hart von der tödlichen …… betroffen war. Die Bemühungen verwandelten sich in eine Anti-Impf-Kampagne. In Social-Media-Beiträgen wurde die Qualität von Gesichtsmasken, Testkits und des ersten Impfstoffs, der auf den Philippinen erhältlich sein würde – des chinesischen Sinovac-Impfstoffs – angeprangert.
Der Artikel enthüllt, dass die Kampagne nicht nur auf den Philippinen, sondern im gesamten übrigen Südostasien und weit darüber hinaus durchgeführt wurde.
Die vom US-Militär durchgeführte Kampagne der US-Regierung geschah nicht, weil man tatsächlich glaubte, der chinesische Sinovac-Impfstoff oder die von ihm hergestellte Schutzausrüstung sei fehlerhaft, sondern einzig und allein, um China zu demütigen.
Reuters zitierte einen hochrangigen Militäroffizier, der an der Desinformationskampagne beteiligt war und behauptete: „Wir haben das nicht aus der Perspektive der öffentlichen Gesundheit betrachtet. Wir haben uns überlegt, wie wir China in den Dreck ziehen können.“
Reuters interviewte auch Ärzte, die zugaben: „Zivilisten werden dadurch aus potenziellen geopolitischen Gründen in Gefahr gebracht.“
Das US-Militär war nicht der einzige Schuldige
So aufschlussreich und verstörend der Artikel von Reuters auch ist, er vermag bei weitem nicht das volle Ausmaß der US-amerikanischen Desinformation, Manipulation und Nötigung im Hinblick auf chinesische Impfstoffe und medizinische Ausrüstung aufzuzeigen.
Zusätzlich zu einer groß angelegten Kampagne des US-Militärs in den sozialen Medien rief das US-Außenministerium über das National Endowment for Democracy (NED, in Russland verboten) verschiedene Oppositionsgruppen und politische Parteien, die die US-Regierung im Laufe der Jahre in den Zielländern, darunter auch in Südostasien, aufgebaut hatte, dazu auf, diese gleichen Narrative sowohl in den Medien als auch auf der Straße zu verbreiten.
In Thailand halfen die von den USA unterstützte „Future Forward Party“ unter Führung des zum Politiker gewordenen Milliardärs Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit und seiner vom NED finanzierten Oppositionsbewegung mit, die zugegebenermaßen Lügen und Desinformationen des Pentagons zu verbreiten. Sie forderten die thailändische Regierung bei einer Reihe von Protesten auf, ihre Zusammenarbeit mit China zu beenden und sich stattdessen mit Impfstoffen aus den USA zu versorgen, genauer gesagt von den US-Pharmariesen Pfizer und Mondera.
Die South China Morning Post berichtete 2021 in einem Artikel mit dem Titel „Wie Chinas Sinovac-Impfstoff ins Kreuzfeuer der regierungsfeindlichen Proteste Thailands geriet“:
Thailands regierungsfeindliche Bewegung geht über Forderungen nach einer Reform der Politik und der Monarchie hinaus und konzentriert sich nun auf Prayuths Umgang mit der Pandemie und sein Vertrauen in den Impfstoff von Sinovac inmitten einer von der Delta-Variante angetriebenen dritten Welle.
Der Artikel vermied es, zu erwähnen, wer die Opposition im Einzelnen war und welche möglicherweise kompromittierenden Verbindungen sie möglicherweise hatten, die sie dazu motivierten, die Darstellung des Pentagons „zufällig“ auf die Straßen von Bangkok zu tragen.
Dass eine von den USA unterstützte Opposition solche Proteste durchführte, war offensichtlich kein Zufall – vor allem jetzt, da Reuters enthüllt hat, dass das Pentagon die Quelle der antichinesischen Behauptungen ist, die von der von den USA unterstützten thailändischen Opposition wiederholt wurden.
Die USA nutzten alle ihre Mittel – weit über die Medienaktivitäten ihres Militärs hinaus, aber auch über die Oppositionsgruppen und politischen Parteien, die sie rund um den Globus aufgebaut haben und finanzieren –, um sich ebenfalls an Washingtons globaler Desinformationskampagne gegen China zu beteiligen.
Dies ist jedoch kein Einzelfall. Die von den USA unterstützte Opposition in Thailand (und anderswo) hat sich in allen erdenklichen Fragen auf die Seite Washingtons gegen China gestellt. Auch in Fragen, die nichts direkt mit Thailand zu tun haben, wie etwa im Südchinesischen Meer, auf das Thailand keinen Anspruch erhebt.
Dies war weder die erste noch die letzte Desinformationskampagne der USA
Während Reuters sich in erster Linie auf diesen einen Aspekt einer einzelnen Desinformationskampagne konzentriert, die die USA zugegebenermaßen gezielt durchgeführt haben und die Verbündeten wie Feinden gleichermaßen bewusst Schaden zufügt, deutet der Bericht auf die Existenz zahlreicher weiterer Kampagnen dieser Art hin.
Reuters merkte an:
Geheime psychologische Operationen gehören zu den sensibelsten Programmen der US-Regierung. Von ihrer Existenz weiß nur eine kleine Gruppe von Personen innerhalb der US-Geheimdienste und Militärbehörden. Solche Programme werden mit besonderer Vorsicht behandelt, weil ihre Aufdeckung ausländische Allianzen schädigen oder Konflikte mit Rivalen eskalieren könnte.
Zwar erwähnt Reuters keine konkreten Kampagnen, gibt aber zu, dass die US-Regierung ähnliche Desinformationskampagnen durchgeführt hat, deren Ziel darin bestand, die öffentliche Meinung über China zu untergraben.

Im Jahr 2019 ermächtigte Trump die Central Intelligence Agency, eine geheime Kampagne in den chinesischen sozialen Medien zu starten, die darauf abzielte, die öffentliche Meinung in China gegen die Regierung zu wenden, berichtete Reuters im März. Im Rahmen dieser Kampagne nutzte eine kleine Gruppe von Agenten falsche Online-Identitäten, um abfällige Darstellungen der Regierung von Xi Jinping zu verbreiten.
Diese Kampagnen dauern bis heute an und stellen die Qualität und Sicherheit anderer chinesischer Produkte und Projekte in Frage – von der Telekommunikationsausrüstung des Herstellers Huawei bis hin zu großen Infrastrukturprojekten. Und das alles mit dem Ziel, die Entwicklungsländer nicht mit amerikanischen Alternativen zu beliefern oder ihnen diese zu verkaufen, sondern ihnen schlicht und einfach die Möglichkeit zur Entwicklung zu verwehren.
Ebenso wie im Fall der chinesischen Impfstoffe und der medizinischen Schutzausrüstung spielte die von den USA unterstützte thailändische Opposition eine direkte Rolle bei der Verstärkung dieser anderen Medienkampagnen.
So zitierte Bloomberg beispielsweise Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, der die Pläne der thailändischen Regierung zum gemeinsamen Bau einer Hochgeschwindigkeitsstrecke verurteilte, die Thailand über Laos mit China verbinden soll. Dort gibt es bereits eine funktionierende, von Chinesen gebaute Hochgeschwindigkeitsstrecke.
Das US-Außenministerium verurteilt regelmäßig die Seidenstraßen-Initiative Chinas und sieht darin ein Mittel, um Länder in die Schuldenfalle zu stürzen und sie von China abhängig zu machen.
In dem Artikel aus dem Jahr 2018 mit dem Titel „Thailand braucht einen Hyperloop und keine in China gebaute Hochgeschwindigkeitsstrecke, sagt ein Junta-Kritiker“ heißt es:
Ein Tycoon, der zum Politiker wurde und gegen die thailändische Militärregierung kämpft, kritisierte das 5,6 Milliarden Dollar teure Hochgeschwindigkeitsbahnprojekt mit China, weil die Hyperloop-Technologie eine modernere Alternative biete.
Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit organisierte auch eine Pressekonferenz, bei der er den nicht existierenden „Hyperloop“ als Alternative zur chinesisch-thailändischen Hochgeschwindigkeitsbahn anpries. Während dieser Veranstaltung enthüllte er den wahren Zweck der Opposition gegen von China gebaute Infrastruktur:
Ich denke, wir haben China in den letzten fünf Jahren zu viel Bedeutung beigemessen. Wir wollen das reduzieren und unsere Beziehungen zu Europa, zu Japan und zu den USA stärker ausbalancieren.
In Wirklichkeit legt Thailand Wert auf China wegen der geografischen Nähe, der gemeinsamen kulturellen und historischen Bindungen und, pragmatischer betrachtet, der Tatsache, dass China Thailands größter Handelspartner, Investor, Tourismusquelle, Infrastrukturpartner und in zunehmendem Maße sogar ein Partner im Verteidigungsbereich ist.
Eine erfolgreiche und wachsende Beziehung zu verschlechtern, um sich auf die USA und ihre europäischen und japanischen Stellvertreter zu konzentrieren, die alle keine Alternativen zu den von China gebotenen Möglichkeiten bieten können, ist eine irrationale Politik. Sie ist nur dann „rational“, wenn diejenigen, die eine solche Politik vorschlagen, den US-Interessen dienen und nicht denen Thailands.
Bedenkt man die enge Beziehung, die Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit zu Washington pflegt, und die Tatsache, dass seine Oppositionsbewegung von Washington finanziert wird, kommt sein Vorschlag einer Politik, die den US-Interessen auf Kosten Thailands dient, nicht überraschend.
Dies ist nur ein kleines Beispiel dafür, wie viel größer das Ausmaß der Manipulation und Nötigung durch die USA rund um den Globus ist. Sie geht weit über unehrliche und missbräuchliche Aktivitäten auf Social-Media-Plattformen hinaus und geht so weit, dass dort Oppositionsbewegungen und politische Parteien aufgebaut werden, die nicht nur ihre Opposition gegen China zum Ausdruck bringen, sondern auch Länder von einer Zusammenarbeit mit China abbringen sollen. Dazu werden deren Regierungen politisch vereinnahmt, Marionettenregime an die Macht gebracht und die Politik irrational zugunsten der US-Interessen ausgerichtet, und zwar auf Kosten des Ziellandes, in diesem Fall Thailands.
Dies geschieht nicht nur durch das US-Militär, sondern auch durch das US-Außenministerium und ein riesiges globales Netzwerk von Organisationen und politischen Parteien, die von Washington aufgebaut, finanziert und gelenkt werden.
Für die Nationen rund um den Globus ist es wichtig, den Missbrauch zu verstehen, den die USA in ihren jeweiligen Informationsräumen begehen, und die Notwendigkeit, ihre Öffentlichkeit vor einem solchen Missbrauch zu schützen, indem sie die sozialen Mediennetzwerke kontrollieren, die als Vektor für diesen Missbrauch dienen.
Indem ausländische Social-Media-Unternehmen gezwungen werden, in den Zielländern Niederlassungen zu eröffnen, und diese für Verstöße gegen lokale Gesetze zur Verantwortung gezogen werden, die missbräuchliche Desinformationskampagnen ausländischer Akteure wie Washington verbieten, und indem lokale Alternativen zu den in den USA ansässigen Social-Media-Plattformen entwickelt werden, können die Zielländer selbst entscheiden, wer ihren Informationsraum für welchen Zweck nutzen darf – und ob sie die Art von Manipulation und Zwang tolerieren, die Washington ausübt und die Reuters in seinem jüngsten Bericht aufgedeckt hat.
China und Russland haben bei der Sicherung ihrer jeweiligen Informationsräume bereits große Fortschritte gemacht und könnten nun ihr Portfolio an Verteidigungsgütern, die beide Länder bereits weltweit exportieren, um Mittel zur Verteidigung ihres Informationsraums erweitern.
ASML Holding NV and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. have ways to shut down the world’s most sophisticated chip-making machines if China invades Taiwan.
The remote shutdown applies to ASML’s line of ultraviolet machines from the Netherlands, known in the industry as EUV, for which TSMC is the largest customer.
The EUV is the size of a city bus and requires regular maintenance and upgrades. As part of this, the company could remotely force a shutdown of the system, which would act as a kill switch, said the people, who spoke on condition of anonymity. Veldhoven is the world’s only manufacturer of these machines, which sell for more than 200 million euros ($217 million) each.
TSMC Chairman Mark Liu hinted in a September interview with CNN that any invader of Taiwan would find his company’s chip-making machines broken down.
While a great deal of controversies have arisen in the world-wide activities of USAID it may be worthwhile to explore its attempts of preventing individuals from finding information that challenges official narratives.
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) was created by the U.S. president John Fitzgerald Kennedy on 3 November 1961. The justification for its creation was his firm belief that the U.S. hegemonic position in the world could not be maintained just through the use of military means but had to be supplemented by economic assistance as well. After more than 60 years of its existence, USAID is active in over 30 countries with its annual budget of over $30 billion and it employs over 11,000 people while its goals have not changed. In August 2022, the current administrator of USAID, Samantha Power told the House Foreign Affairs Committee the following: “An international order that values democracy and human rights and respects international borders is not given. Indeed, authoritarian actors are challenging and aiming to reshape it. We have to invest in the stable and more humane world that we need.”
On 17 May, 2023, Senator Michael McCaul while attending a session of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, insisted that the U.S. Agency for International Development didn’t go far enough in addressing the threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party. He even went further by stating the need to project U.S. global leadership around the world.
While a great deal of controversies have arisen in the world-wide activities of USAID, it may be worthwhile exploring its attempts of preventing individuals from finding information that challenges official narratives, of using misinformation, disinformation and fake news. Some ideas on those aspects were provided by Alan MacLeod of Mint Press News who dealt with global censorship in the name of democracy.
USAID the putative Good Samaritan working for Uncle Sam
Many projects by USAID (the Agency) give an overwhelming impression, especially in education and healthcare, that their purpose is to improve people’s lot in poverty stricken areas in developing countries. For this purpose it may be handy to elaborate on the educational input by the Agency. The prime example of it could be Progress Report 2018–2021. Indeed, it is hard not to be impressed with the data and the achievements presented in the report.
Since 2018, the Agency has worked in more than 80 countries, as the report emphasizes, to ensure that children and youth have access to the education and skills they need to become productive members of society. In fiscal year 2020, USAID’s global education programs claimed to achieve the following: over 24 million learners were reached across the spectrum of pre-primary through higher education; over 580 higher education institutions were provided with capacity development support; 300,000 educators, administrators and officials were trained; and over 93,000 public and private schools were assisted at the pre-primary, primary and secondary levels.
One may wonder on the impact of such activities on the recipients of aid. Surely, most of the young ones know little about the United States of America and its foreign policies. U.S. promoted education may be viewed with great admiration as the only tangible experience. On the basis of this, they have every reason to think Americans are generous people who care about children and youth in foreign countries not expecting anything in return. One can imagine that when they receive parcels and boxes of books and teaching materials marked “From the American People” the students are filled with enthusiasm and appreciation. Under such circumstances, aid recipients are likely to be henceforth predisposed to perceiving the U.S. as an altruistic and selfless patron.
Thus, the Agency provides invaluable “soft power” for projecting U.S. global interests. The “humanitarian” projection of power can be more effective than the overt hard power of the CIA and Pentagon. But sometimes, USAID oversteps its supposedly humanitarian remit and then betrays its real purpose in target nations.
Coming out of the humanitarian closet
According to the Kyrgyz foreign minister Temir Sariyev, USAID would lose its privileged status over an award conferred on a jailed dissident. The award was made by the U.S. State Department human rights prize to Azimjon Askarov, a journalist and activist who is serving a life sentence on charges of inciting ethnic hatred in this Central Asian nation. The award was viewed as interference in internal affairs of Kyrgyzstan in terms of its legal system, ethnic affairs and possibly spreading disinformation.
Stakes are much higher for USAID involvement in Uganda. In 2023, President Yoweri Museveni signed into law a bill that could lead to the death penalty for people found guilty of “aggravated homosexuality,” defined as same-sex acts involving people living with HIV or minors, among others.
As a result, the World Bank and USAID will review their work in Uganda, adding their voices to protests over Uganda’s anti-gay bill, which could jeopardize billions of dollars in funding the two institutions spend in the East African country. The measures are undoubtedly harsh but it is a conflict of cultures and values.
By actively participating in Ugandan politics associated with opposing Uganda’s anti-gay bill, USAID is promoting Western and not African values. Making arguments that challenges official government narrative so far came to nothing.
Agency Administrator Samantha Power rushed to reiterate USAID support for LGBTQI+ rights. President Joe Biden heavily criticized Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Act depicting it is a deplorable violation of universal human rights, one that is not worthy of the Ugandan people, and one that jeopardizes the prospects of critical economic growth for the entire country.
By taking part vigorously in Ugandan politics related to LGBTQI+ issues, the Agency disparaged the explanations provided by most Ugandan parliamentarians. In doing so, the Agency was outing itself as a neocolonialist enterprise promoting Western and not African values. In this way, USAID is risking undermining its conventional reputation of humanitarian purpose by rashly overstepping cultural norms.
Biden’s empty vows to counter ‘democratic backsliding’ in Africa
In views of Nigerien Presidential Guard Commander General Tchiani, the “continuing degradation of the security situation and poor economic and social governance” justified his July 2023 deposing of President Bazoum. Yet, some observers argue that his real motivation was fear of being replaced.
The effectiveness of regional mechanisms has also decreased. ECOWAS, the West African political and economic bloc, failed to marshal a consensus for military action against the Niger coup. It was further weakened by Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso’s withdrawal from the bloc in January 2024, aimed at reducing regional pressure on the junta’s to return to constitutional rule and hold elections. This tactic seems to have worked as ECOWAS’ fear of fragmentation and loss of relevance has compelled it to re-open dialogue with the junta and lift most of its sanctions on Niger.
The U.S. attempted to apply particularly tough measures against the putschist leaders in Niger, At first, Washington attempted to organize an armed intervention by ECOWAS, which failed. Then former State Department official Victoria Nuland threatened the cancellation of U.S. aid to Niger.
What about the role of USAID in Niger?
Some of the main efforts were directed ostensibly toward strengthening democratic institutions and promoting free and fair elections.
Ahead of the 2020-2021 local, parliamentary, and presidential elections, USAID purportedly supported preparations for a peaceful and credible democratic transition, including political dialogue, drafting a revised electoral code and electoral procedures, capacity building of political parties, voter registration and education, and prevention of electoral violence.
Unlike its customary educational programs with children and youth, in Niger USAID officials gained direct access to the Nigerien political elite. The Agency trained a total of 71 newly elected members of parliament (MPs), including 52 women MPs, on their roles, the national budget, and legislative and regulatory drafting techniques. The Agency declared in advance that it would support additional electoral system reforms ahead of the 2025 national elections.
Not long ago, President Joe Biden vowed that the U.S. would “counter democratic backsliding by imposing costs for coups” in Africa. But after the military mutiny in Niger involving U.S.-trained officers, the Pentagon refuses to call the takeover a coup d’état. Not only that, the contacts established by USAID with Nigerien parliamentarians turned out useless and the rapport
with the military brass failed to restore the pre-coup state of affairs.
If one takes into account 20 years of U.S. military presence and huge military spending (over $500 million) and USAID “democracy building”, it was a fiasco.
USAID aiding disinformation by going mute on horror of Gaza genocide
As of 21 May 2024, over 37,000 people (35,562 Palestinian and 1,478 Israelis) have been reported as killed in the Israel–Hamas war. Israeli civilians were murdered by Hamas mostly in the beginning of the conflict in October last year, while most Palestinians were killed as a result of indiscriminate bombing, artillery shelling as well as from dehydration and lack of food. The genocide of Palestinians continues.
There are other shocking developments that have a great impact on the flow of information and the media. Namely, since Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza was launched, 80 journalists have been arrested in Gaza and the West Bank, while over 170 others were killed. The numbers of killed Palestinian journalists surpasses drastically the numbers of journalists killed in the six years of WWII (68) and the number of journalists that got killed during the 20 years of the Vietnam War (69).
What’s the purpose of deliberately targeting Palestinian journalists? The Gaza Government Media Office gives a straightforward answer: to obscure the Palestinian narrative, distort the facts, and prevent journalists from reporting the crimes of the Israeli occupation forces.
USAID chiefs sent a confidential memo in April to Secretary of State Antony Blinken claiming that Israel is violating a White House directive by blocking humanitarian aid from entering the besieged Gaza Strip. But why does the Agency not go public with its damning assessment? Why does it stay mute? The conclusion is to cover up.
What’s more, the Agency “assesses the government of Israel (GOI) does not currently demonstrate necessary compliance” with a February 8 White House memo requiring the Secretary of State to obtain assurances from governments receiving U.S. military aid that such assistance is used in compliance with human rights law.
The document was approved by 10 USAID officials, underscoring its widespread backing of the findings. Sonali Korde, the Agency’s deputy assistant administrator and head of the Bureau for Humanitarian Affairs, signed off on the document with the phrase INFO, bureaucratic shorthand for passing it up the chain of command without committing to its conclusions.
The Agency’s benign image unravels in Georgia
In the Georgian political context, USAID went beyond disinformation, misinformation, fake news and undermining official narratives of the Georgian government and the democratic system.
The Georgian parliament passed a law with 84 deputies for and 30 against on a bill to curb foreign agents and foreign interference. It obliges about 10,000 existing NGOs to register their foreign patrons in declarations on an annual basis. Any insubordination will be punishable with fines or a jail term of up to five years.
Worth mentioning, NGOs and media groups that received foreign money were in a position to influence public opinion or decision-making processes in public life. Those in opposition made ridiculous claims about the law as standing in the way of Georgia’s integration with Europe. In response, the supporters of the law reminded that such legal regulations exist in the U.S., Spain, Australia and they are being considered for adoption across the European Union. How hypocritical can you get!
In the background of the heated debate about foreign agents there was an ongoing struggle to weaken if not to destroy the fragile Georgian democracy. The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, went back to 2020 when there was an attempt to discredit the key election watchdog ISFED that would undermine the electoral results of the Georgian Dream Party.
Involved in that endeavor was USAID which claimed that ISFED “spread false results of the parallel count” something that ISFED itself repeatedly denied. Despite this, Agency officials kept on spreading false electoral results. Papuashvili emphasized that USAID hasn’t responded to those claims and their silence serves as an affirmative answer.
The scope of illegitimate activities in Georgia by USAID in 2023 went much further.
On October 2, the Georgian security service SSSG revealed to the public that three Serbian trainers (Siniša Šikman, Jelena Stojšić, and Slobodan Djinovic) affiliated with the civil society organization CANVAS, were brought to Georgia to participate in a civil society engagement program funded by USAID. They sought to recruit activists with the intent of orchestrating a violent overthrow of Georgia’s lawfully elected government.
CANVAS, the U.S. Embassy, and the State Department have strongly denied the charge as “false” and “mischaracterizing the nature of assistance” by the U.S. government.
On October 11 and 12, the State Security Service of Georgia summoned Natalia Vatsadze, an actress, and Vakho Kareli, a photographer, all this, in a follow-up to the so-called “training plot” allegations.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said that it has become clear that “foreign countries are actively involved” in these “revolutionary” activities with the arrival of citizens from abroad to conduct sessions “disguised as training for individuals in the field of art and culture,” but really aimed at giving “instructions” on how to incite a revolution and overthrow the government by force.
On October 26, 2023, U.S. Ambassador Erin Elizabeth McKee, USAID Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia, refuted allegations by the ruling Georgian Dream party that USAID is “funding extremists” in Georgia through NGO projects.
“First and foremost, USAID works with a variety of civil society organizations and non-governmental organizations to help strengthen and improve the democratic process,” Ambassador McKee asserted, saying that the objective of work with civil society is “to ensure that every citizen’s voice is heard, [which] is fundamental to a thriving democracy.” In addition, she stressed: “Any claims that the United States through USAID is supporting revolution are patently false and, frankly, disinformation.”
In response, Georgian Dream Chair Kobakhidze argued that even though this training was purportedly about non-violent activism, in reality, it trained individuals “precisely in violent activism.” He stated that the goal was: “Chaos, revolution, and the ultimate goal, we all know what it is, the opening of the second front [against] Russia, which has not been achieved since 2022 when the war in Ukraine began.”
PM Irakli Garibashvili summed up the machinations of U.S. interests in Georgia under the benevolent cover of USAID. He stated: “The only desire of the destructive forces is to violently overthrow the government and open a second front [of the Russo-Ukrainian war] in the country… These are their dirty, anti-national, anti-state plans.”

Marcus Klöckner kommentiert in diesem Beitrag eine Äußerung des Politikwissenschaftlers und Historikers Herfried Münkler aus einem Gespräch mit dem Journalisten Gabor Steingart zum Krieg in der Ukraine. Die Frage, ob deutsche Bodentruppen in die Ukraine geschickt werden sollen, habe der Wissenschaftler der Humboldt Universität Berlin u.a. so beantwortet: Nicht, „solange es noch ukrainische Männer in Deutschland gibt, die sich gerne auf der Autobahn aufhalten und dort eher ihren Heimplatz sehen als an der Front in der Ukraine“. „Nüchtern und zugleich eiskalt“ trete so das „Ungeheuerliche“ in den Raum. Sehr geehrter Herr Klöckner,
ich möchte mich bei Ihnen bedanken. Der Artikel ‘Solange es noch ukrainische Männer in Deutschland gibt … ‘ hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Die Aussagen von Herrn Münkler sind ungeheuerlich. Jedem Bürger in Deutschland sollte ‘angst und bange werden’, wenn er die Aussagen dieser sogenannten ‘Elite’ hört. In diese Kategorie ist auch Herr Sigmar Gabriel einzuordnen mit seiner Äusserung : ‘Müssen Russland niederringen’ und ‘Es braucht das klare Signal an Putin : Stopp diesen Krieg – oder wir tragen ihn zu dir’.
Beide Herren, Münkler und Gabriel, sind Mitglied in der SPD. Das sollte noch erwähnt werden.
Sie schreiben in ihrem Artikel: Münkler ist ein gestandener Professor. Politikwissenschaft und auch noch Geschichte sind sein Fachgebiet. Münkler muss davon wissen, was das Schüren von Ressentiments in Bezug auf eine Gruppe von Menschen bedeutet. Er muss – zumindest aus den Textbüchern – von den Schrecken des Krieges wissen.
Herfried Münkler veröffentlichte unter anderem folgende Bücher:
Der Dreißigjährige Krieg: Europäische Katastrophe, deutsches Trauma 1618 – 1648
Imperien: Die Logik der Weltherrschaft – vom Alten Rom bis zu den Vereinigten Staaten
Der Große Krieg: Die Welt 1914 bis 1918
Daraus kann ich nur schließen, dass er sehr genau weiß, wovon er redet. Es ist immer wieder erschreckend, was in diesem Land vor sich geht.

In die Logik eines Professor Münkler, der das Credo von Putins Expansionsgelüsten predigt, fügt sich seine mehr als zynische Aussage ein.
Anstatt junge Menschen zum Sterben auf Schlachtfelder zwingen zu wollen, könnte der, nach Sieg strebende , Emeritus Münkler sich ja freiwillig dort hin begeben.

Sehr geehrter Herr Klöckner,
einleitend sei mitgeteilt, daß besagter Prof. Münkler einem auch bereits häufiger unangenehm aufgefallen ist wegen seines MSM und Regime konformen unqualifizierten Gelaberes. Diesmal wurde gefragt, ob deutsche Bodentruppen in den Krieg gegen Rußland geschickt werden sollten, woraufhin der Prof. auf die inzwischen bei uns ansässigen Ukrainer verwiesen hatte. Dies löste nun Ihre heftigste Empörung aus wenn jemand sagt, die zu uns vor dem Krieg geflüchteten “armen” Ukrainer quasi in den Tod schicken zu wollen. Das muß doch nun aber in diesem Zusammenhang so interpretiert werden, daß´man es offenbar besser fände, wenn stattdessen deutsche Soldaten zum Sterben da hingeschickt werden würden, oder wie? Und das findet man selbst nun wieder empörend. Hinsichtlich armer Ukrainer ist einem anhand der Nobelkarossen mit ukrainischen Kennzeichen, die in Berlin gar nicht selten anzutreffen sind, schon aufgefallen, daß dies nicht für alle zutreffen kann. Auch war zu lesen, daß die Ausreise 10 bis 20 tausend € Schmiergeld kostete. Ganz so arm konnten also viele gar nicht gewesen sein, die hier “Bürgergeld” beziehen, das übrigens deutlich höher als das Durchschnittseinkommen in der Heimat ist, und für das, anders als der deutsche Empfänger, kein Nachweis über eigenes Vermögen erbracht werden muß. Vielleicht mußten die wirklich Armen zum stereben zuhaues bleiben? Daß die Ukraine eine Mitschuld an diesem vom Unwertewesten provozierten Krieg trägt. ist bei den NDS bestens bekannt und muß nicht näher erläutert werden. Bin übrigens weder Wähler noch Sympathisant der AfD, aber nichtsdestotrotz ein Gegner der kriegsgeilen Ertüchtigung und Vorbereitung in D zu einem WK III.

In diesem Zusammenhang empfehle ich Sevim Dagdelen: “Die NATO – Eine Abrechnung mit dem Wertebündnis”! In Kapitel 10 “Ausweitung der Kampfzone – der Informationskrieg der NATO” ist knapp und verständlich nachzulesen, welche Bedeutung der sogenannten “strategischen Kommunikation” mit den Mitteln der Desinformation und Propaganda “autoritärer Akteure” als “wesentlicher Bestandteil” ihrer Bemühungen, “die politischen und militärischen Ziele des Bündnisses zu erreichen”, beizumessen ist. Weiter heißt es am Schluss: “Die Aufklärung über die Kriegspropaganda und Manipulation der NATO ist ein erster Schritt auf dem Weg zum Frieden.”
Der hier vom Verfasser zutreffend kommentierte Sachverhalt weist deutliche Parallelen im alltäglichen Nachrichten- und Informationsangebot auf. Respekt und Anerkennung!

Sehr geehrter Herr Klöckner,
ich verstehe ihre Aufregung nicht. Das wäre doch nur der gleiche Umgang, wie er mit russischen Wehrdienstverweigerern in der EU gepflegt wird, denen man Asyl verweigert.
Wenn ich mich recht erinnere, war die Begründung, Unzufriedene in Russland zu belassen und damit innere Unruhen zu provozieren. Das Argument trifft natürlich auch vollumfänglich auf die Ukraine zu. Vielleicht wird dann ja der mittlerweile rechtswidrig im Amt sitzende Selenski gestürzt und es könnte zu ernsthaften Verhandlungen kommen. Von daher sollte die friedensstiftende Idee des Herrn Münklers nicht schlechtgeredet werden. </Zyn off> Falls meine Erinnerung falsch ist: Streichen Sie das Konditional, wir sind seit geraumer Zeit keine Gesellschaft mehr, die zu liberalen Werten einer Demokratie steht. Wir leben im Westen in einer neoliberalen regelbasierten “feministischen” Weltordnung. Die Gebaren von Herrn Münkler sind da nur konsequent.

Die Zivilisationsdecke ist dünn. Vor knapp über zwei Jahren wollte man Menschen mit einem genverändernden Mittel gegen “Corona” zwangsspritzen, heuer will man vor dem Krieg Geflüchtete in die Blutmühle an die Front zwingen, alles selbstverständlich um der nobelsten Ziele willen; hier, damit die Herrschenden den Machtkampf mit Russland zu gewinnen … . Der Mensch ist dem Menschen ein Wolf!

Sehr geehrte nachdenkseiten,
da ich vor Jahren interessierter Leser des Buches „Die neuen Kriege“ von Herfried Münkler war und viel daraus gelernt habe möchte ich kurz meine Einschätzung zu dem zitierten Interview mit Herrn Münkler mitteilen.
Professor Münkler stellt in dem genannten Buch anschaulich dar, dass wir uns von der Idee der zwischenstaatlichen militärischen Konflikte trennen müssen. Dieses Bild ist geprägt durch die Kriege im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert mit fest definierbaren Konfliktparteien. Er sagt (aus meiner Erinnerung), dass moderne Kriege wieder mehr dem Dreißigjährigen Krieg ähnlich sein werden. Also ein lange währender militärischer Konflikt zwischen relativ kleinen Interessengruppen mit wechselnden Bündnissen. Die Ressourcen für die Aufrechterhaltung des Kriegs wird aus diesem selbst gespeist. „Der Krieg ernährt den Krieg“.
Herr Münkler verfolgt meiner Meinung nach mit seinem Interview eine Hidden Agenda.
In Deutschland befinden sich gegenwärtig etwa 250.000 ukrainische Männer im wehrfähigen Alter.
Man kann hier selbstredend gegenwärtig – trotz ausreichender Mannstärke – nicht von einer Armee sprechen, da man annehmen kann, dass keine Koordination, Ausstattung und uneingeschränkt gemeinsame Ziele zwischen diesen Personen bestehen.
Aber: zusammenfassend ist sehr wohl anzunehmen, dass diese Männer weder für die Interessen des unter der Regierung Zelenskyy geführten Staates Ukraine sterben wollen, noch für die Gegenseite Russland. Hier befindet sich also eine starke Gruppe im Exil, die sozusagen Vertreter eines dritten Wegs in diesem Konflikt sind. Ferner ist nicht davon auszugehen, dass es sich in der Mehrzahl um absolute und selbstaufopfernde Pazifisten handelt. Diese Annahme ist wider aller anthropologischer und ethnischer Erkenntnisse!
Meiner Meinung nach sind hier ein paar Staatsschützer wach geworden und haben nun die berechtigte Angst, dass sich die genannten Personen koordinieren könnten. Deshalb wird hier mit Polemik gespalten und ich gehe jede Wette ein, dass sollte es zu Ausweisungen kommen, diese scheibchenweise stattfinden werden.
Ich vermute man wird einen „Kompromiss“ vorschlagen, dass hier berufstätige Flüchtlinge selbstverständlich weiter herzlich willkommen sind und arbeitslose Flüchtlinge stigmatisieren… (Also das bekannte Good Cop – Bad Cop-Spiel).

Lieber Herr Klöckner, liebe NDS-Redaktion,
ich kann Ihrem kritischen Kommentar zur Interview-Aussage Münklers nur zustimmen und danke Ihnen, dass Sie das thematisieren und überhaupt den Skandal aufdecken.
Menschen, die vor dem Krieg (in der Ukraine) fliehen, weil sie letztlich nicht wegen der Profitinteressen der NATO-Eliten in Wirtschaft und Hochfinanz zum Kanonenfutter gemacht werden wollen, das Bürgergeld zu entziehen und damit ihre materielle Lebensgrundlage hier in Deutschland – Oskar Lafontaine würde sagen, dieser Satz hat faschistoide Züge. Aber auch Hannah Arendts Aussage in der Folge des Eichmann-Prozesses in Israel, “die Banalität des Bösen”, würde zu Münklers Verlautbarung passen.
Ich fühle mich aber auch an das traurige Schicksal von jüdischen Ärzten und Rechtsanwälten nach der Machtergreifung der Nazis erinnert. Diesen wurde die Ausübung ihres Berufes verwährt und praktisch eigentlich jede bezahlte Tätigkeit. Ihnen blieb nur das Betteln, die Emigration (wenn sie konnten) oder der Selbstmord. Viele, viele wurden so in den Tod getrieben.
Progressive, neulinke Menschen würden vielleicht auch von einer gruppenbezogenen Menschenfeindlichkeit sprechen, hier gegen ukrainische Männer zwischen 20 und 30 Jahren, womit das ganze auch eine sexistische Komponente erhält.
Münkler ist mir schon im Zusammenhang mit dem “Manifest für Frieden” von Sahra Wagenknecht und Alice Schwarzer (Februar 2023) negativ aufgefallen. Dieser Initiative begegnete er in einem Interview mit dem Kölner Stadtanzeiger sehr ablehnend und feindselig mit folgenden diffamierenden Zuschreibungen: “gewissenlos”; “mit kenntnislosem Dahergerede Putins Geschäft betreiben”; “Desavouierung des Grundanliegens der Friedensbewegung”, “Nivellierung der Kategorien von Angriff und Verteidigung, wodurch Pazifismus zur puren Unterwerfungsbereitschaft gemacht werde, was er aber nie gewesen sei”; “Ende der politisch ernstzunehmenden Friedensbewegung”.
Es ist nicht leicht in die Psyche dieses emeritierten Politologen und Historikers einzudringen. Woher kommt diese erschreckende Empathielosigkeit? Er hat ja seine Dissertation Ende der 1970er Jahre über Niccolo Machiavelli (1469 – 1527) geschrieben und damit im damaligen Wissenschaftsbetrieb für einiges Aufsehen gesorgt. Ich bin hier kein Experte, aber unter Macchiavellismus wird ja gemeinhin eine Auffassung und ein Verhalten verstanden, “das zwar raffiniert aber ohne ethische Einflüsse von Moral und Sittlichkeit die eigene Macht und das eigene Wohl als Ziel sieht.” ( Deutsche Wikipedia) So scheint es mir, dass er sich bei der Formung seiner eigenen Auffassung vom Menschen, vom Leben, von der Gesellschaft und von Politik die Ansichten dieser historischen Persönlichkeit zu sehr zu eigen gemacht hat.
Schließlich kann ich mir auch gut vorstellen, dass 1942 in der Villa der Wannseekonferenz zu Beginn der Satz gefallen ist: Die Endlösung der Judenfrage – wenn das die Voraussetzung ist für den Endsieg, dann muss man sich damit beschäftigen.

Kann es sein, dass die Apathie im Volk gegenüber der unmittelbar drohenden Gefahr einer Eskalation des Ukraine Krieges eine Ursache darin hat, dass ein großer Teil der Bevölkerung nur den Biedermann in den Kriegshetzern sieht, weil dieser Teil sich weigert, dem Ungeheuerlichen, dem die Kriegshetzer den Weg ebnen mit eben diesen Biedermännern in Verbindung zu bringen? Ein großer Teil des Volkes, wenn nicht gar die Mehrheit scheint immer noch zu glauben, dass die sogenannten “Eliten” in Politik, Wissenschaft und Kultur grundsätzlich konstruktive und dem Allgemeinwohl dienende Ziele verfolgen (von gelegentlichen Korruptionsfällen und dem Lobbyismus Problem einmal abgesehen). Diese Menschen wollen der Tatsache nicht ins Auge sehen, dass viele Subjekte dieser sogenannten “Eliten” schlicht und ergreifend Verbrecher sind (wovon ich überzeugt bin, seitdem diese sogenannten “Eliten” bereit waren, das ganze Volk auf übergeordneter Ebene sogar die ganze Weltbevölkerung zur Teilnahme an einem unfassbar verbrecherischen medizinischen Experiment zu zwingen), weil diese Erkenntnis ein Ausgeliefertsein an diese Verbrecher impliziert. Den damit verbundenen Gefühlen von Ohnmacht und Wut möchte man sich ungern stellen. Daher ist die Mehrheit der Bevölkerung ziemlich passiv gegenüber dem Ungeheuerlichen, was uns droht und wählt sogar noch mit großer Mehrheit die Parteien, welche auf eine Kriegseskalation zusteuern. Man muß sich den Gefühlen von Ohnmacht und Wut stellen, um gegen deren Ursachen aufbegehren zu können. Dieser Schritt ist von den meisten Menschen wohl noch nicht vollzogen. Noch ist es nicht zu spät das Ruder herumzureißen, aber der Zeitpunkt, ab dem es zu spät sein wird, kann sehr schnell kommen.
Beim Lesen des Satzes über den Biedermann fällt einem natürlich sofort Hannah Arendts Buch von der Banalität des Bösen ein. Auch vor dieser Assoziation schrecken viele Menschen zurück, weil sie sich einfach nicht vorstellen wollen, dass sich das abgrundtief Böse der NS Zeit in der Maske des Biedermanns von heute wiederholen könnte. Dabei könnte im Atomzeitalter das Böse in Gestalt des Biedermanns alle Gestalten des Bösen in der Vergangenheit in den Schatten stellen.
Auch wenn es thematisch nicht in diesen Kontext gehört möchte ich vor diesem Hintergrund noch die unerträgliche Heuchelei des durch die Ampel inszenierten “Kampfes gegen rechts” erwähnen. Verbrecher, die bereit sind, andere Menschen zu zwingen, in den sicheren Tod zu gehen inszenieren sich hier als Kämpfer gegen Rechts. Man kann gar nicht so viel essen….
Dank an die NDS dafür, dem Ungeheuerlichen nicht auszuweichen.
