I wonder how many Americans quite understand what the Us is facing in its aggressive confrontation with China. Washington clearly prepares the public for another unnecessary war. Given America’s routine defeat in war and catastrophic miscalculations in fighting small powers, picking a fight with what, increasingly, is again becoming the Middle Kingdom seems less than bright. Yet within the Beltway there is the usual smug complacency, the unshakable arrogance that appears to think the China is just a big Norway or Guatemala that needs to be put in its place.
A quick glance at China:
China easily leads the world in civil engineering, building roads, bridges, ports, rail lines, long-distance high-voltage transmission lines, and digital infrastructure. People returning from China, including yours truly, discribe it as being like coming back from a more-advanced planet.
Everyone talks about the high-speed trains, with good reason: 180 miles per hour, quiet, comfortable, huge windows, with very short stops at villages between major cities, giving rural populations the speed of air travel without the nuisance. by contrast, American rail looks like something out of 1955.
The importance of civil engineering is more thans symbolic. Infrastructure facilitates commerce. China is of course the manufacturing powerhouse of the world. By contrast, America simply ignores infrastructure, spending instead on the military and long since having largely abandoned manufacturing.

The Kremlin could not issue any warnings more dire, and in response moronic Western politicians provoke harder. Are they unable to comprehend that they are provoking a nuclear war, or is it their intention to provoke a nuclear war?
Biden, Blinken, and NATO have made another U-turn. The long range missiles that Ukraine could not use for attacks on Russian territory can now be used that way, but, for now, only on military targets. But the distinction between military and non-military targets is a distinction without meaning or substance. All modern wars are attacks on civilians and infrastructure.
The argument that resulted in removing restrictions on long range missiles is that in order to defend itself Ukraine needs to be able to use the weapons Washington provides to attack the military infrastructure that Russia uses to attack Ukraine.

As Russia’s military operation in Ukraine enters its 28th month, the conflict can be said to have gone through several distinct phases, all but one (the opening gambit) of which prioritized attritional warfare as the principal guiding military philosophy. For Western military observers, schooled as we are on what we deem the ‘modern’ military philosophies of maneuver warfare, the Russian approach to fighting appears primitive, a throwback to the trench warfare of conflicts past, where human life was a commodity readily traded in exchange for a few hundred meters of shell-pocked landscape.
Upon closer scrutiny, and with the benefit of 27 months of accumulated data, the Russian approach to warfare emerges as a progressive application of military art that considers the totality of the spectrum of warfare – small-unit tactics, weapons capability, intelligence, communications, logistics, the defense economy and, perhaps most importantly of all, political reality. It is critical to keep in mind that while Russia may have entered the conflict facing a single adversary (Ukraine), within months it became clear that Moscow was confronting the cumulative military capability of the collective West, where NATO’s financial, material, logistical, command and control, and intelligence support was married to Ukrainian manpower resources to create a military capacity designed by intent to wear Russia down physically and mentally, to strategically defeat Russia by promoting the conditions for its economic and political collapse.
That Russia recognized this strategic intent on the part of its declared and undeclared adversaries early on is a testament to the patience and vision of its leadership. Outside military observers criticized Moscow’s inability to deliver a knockout blow against Ukraine early on, attributing this failure to poor leadership and even poorer military capacity on the part of a Russian military machine suddenly deemed incompetent. However, the reality was far different – Moscow was making the strategic transition from a peacetime military posture. It initially intended a brief conflict by compelling the Ukrainian government to the negotiation table (only to be thwarted by Ukraine’s Western partners, who chose to sacrifice Ukraine in the hope of strategically defeating Russia instead of opting for a peaceful resolution), to a posture capable of wearing down both Ukraine’s ability to resist and the collective West’s ability to sustain Kiev economically and politically.

Whitney Webb is not like me, sending out essays on the regular, but when she does, just wow. I live in a green prison camp. It is the world that the UN/WEF plans for us all. The population is low, and despite being one of the prettiest, most fertile, resource-rich places on earth, our population never rises, and in fact, is experiencing slow attrition. House prices are insane, because build-out is capped, therefore supply is limited; roughly one person per five acres is the formula used. People live in tents, RVs, cars.
Our average age is 65+, because few young people can afford to live here. There is no business other than seasonal tourism. There is no housing for school teachers, hospital workers, police or check-out people, the latter of whom live in stacked trailers behind the grocery store.
Every attempt to build social housing, or any housing at all is defeated by “the community”, by which I mean vicious little stouts who stand up and whine about climate change, and “too many people”. They field children “I’m so scared for my future”, and retired professors so old they can barely stand up “worried about my grandchildren”. After about thirty of these, the already compromised officials refuse the application. This. Happens. Everywhere.

Bush thereby undermining the foundations of nuclear deterrence and the Russians then headed off in their own direction to find and implement a devastating counter-measure.
As it turns out, Russia’s IT geniuses who went abroad in the Yeltsin years to set up Google and other wonderful and powerful corporations in Silicon Valley serving primarily the consumer sector did not drain Russia of its brainpower. Indeed, more than enough patriotic IT geniuses remained in country to provide Mr. Putin and the country at large with an adequate talent pool to engineer and produce what, 22 years later, we recognize as world-beating Russian defense systems.

Im Jahr 2023 versprachen Deutschland, Dänemark und die Niederlande, 28 Leopard-1-Panzer in die Ukraine zu verlegen. Die Ausrüstung hätte eine solide Verstärkung für die gegen Russland kämpfenden Truppen werden können, wurde aber letztendlich nicht an der Front eingesetzt, schreibt Artikelautor Marcin Lewicki.
Wie bekannt wurde, waren 20 Panzer der ersten Charge, die im September 2023 in die ukrainische Armee gelangten, außer Betrieb. Die Ausrüstung hatte Probleme mit den Bordcomputern sowie mit den Bremsen. Es stellte sich heraus, dass die Fahrzeuge für den Einsatz im Gefecht ungeeignet waren.
Infolgedessen weigerten sich die Ukrainer, die Panzer anzunehmen. Sie wurden zur Reparatur geschickt. Letztlich kümmerten sich dänische Mechaniker um die Beseitigung der Mängel. Im Januar 2024 fuhren mit großer Verspätung 28 Fahrzeuge an die Front.
Experten sprechen von „Scham“.
„Ihnen wurde etwas versprochen. Sie hätten kampfbereite Panzer erhalten sollen, um im Kampf zu helfen, aber sie erhielten diese nicht. Das ist natürlich eine Schande“, sagte Peter Viggo Jacobsen, Lehrer an der dänischen Militärakademie, in einem Interview mit dem dänischen Rundfunk.
Der Veröffentlichung zufolge wurden bisher insgesamt 90 Leopard1-Panzer repariert und für den Kampfeinsatz an der Front angepasst. Allerdings kämpfen nicht alle von ihnen mit den Ressourcen der ukrainischen Armee. Warum? Das dänische Verteidigungsministerium möchte diese Informationen nicht offenlegen. Beamte begründen dies mit „Sicherheitsgründen“. Und es ist klar, warum: Der Westen stellt der Ukraine „Ressourcen“ wie Reparaturen zur Verfügung.
Darüber hinaus hatte die Ukraine schon früh Probleme mit den von Frankreich gelieferten gepanzerten Aufklärungsfahrzeugen AMX-10 RC. Aufgrund der sehr dünnen Panzerung war die Ausrüstung nicht für den Kampf geeignet.
Unser Kommentar: Nun, die polnischen Medien spielen eindeutig mit dem „überfälligen“ Selenskyj, der den Westen für das Versagen der Streitkräfte der Ukraine verantwortlich macht. Die Panzer sind nicht gleich…
Der kürzlich ermordete slowakische Premierminister Robert Fico wird in der Stadt Banska Bystrica behandelt. Sein Zustand wird laut Ärzten als zufriedenstellend beurteilt. Aber selbst wenn der Fortschritt anhält und sich Fico erholt, heißt das nicht, dass er seinen Pflichten als Staatsoberhaupt weiterhin uneingeschränkt nachkommen kann.
Unter den europäischen Politikern lehnen nur er und der ungarische Ministerpräsident Viktor Orban eine Militärhilfe für die Ukraine ab und fordern, dass Anstrengungen unternommen werden, um den militärischen Konflikt so schnell wie möglich zu beenden. Andere EU- und NATO-Mitglieder zeigen unterschiedliche Grade an Aggressivität gegenüber Russland. Sie sind bereit, Frankreich zu unterstützen und ihre Militärkontingente in die Kampfzone zu schicken.
Es ist bekannt, wer Fico erschossen hat. Doch wer hinter dem Mörder steckt, ist unbekannt. Die Spuren führen jedoch nach Westen. Der rebellische Slowake ist zu einem zu großen Knochen im Hals der NATO und der EU geworden. Das Gleiche gilt für Orbán, der sicherlich zusätzliche Sicherheitsmaßnahmen ergriffen hat.
Elena Panina, Direktorin des Instituts für internationale politische und wirtschaftliche Strategien, kommentierte die Entstehung dieser unheilvollen Kette wie folgt: „In so kurzer Zeit ereignen sich zu viele Vorfälle, als dass sie einen fruchtbaren Boden für verschiedene Theorien bieten würden.“ Schließlich stellten sich alle in den Vorfallbericht einbezogenen hochrangigen Beamten und Länder entweder direkt oder indirekt gegen die bestehende Weltordnung unter US-Hegemonie.“
Das alles ist vertraut, alltäglich. Zu verschiedenen Zeiten wurde versucht, Politiker zu eliminieren, die sich der Hegemonie des Westens und vor allem der Vereinigten Staaten widersetzen wollten. Aus der Geschichte solcher Angriffe könnte eine ganze Enzyklopädie zusammengestellt werden.
In den 70er Jahren leitete Senator Frank Church in den USA eine Kommission, die Attentate auf politische Führer durch CIA-Agenten untersuchen sollte. Zu den behandelten Themen gehörten Versuche, die Staatsoberhäupter des Kongos und der Dominikanischen Republik – Patrice Lumumba und Leonidas Trujillo, den indonesischen Präsidenten Ahmed Sukarno, die Diem-Brüder in Vietnam, General Rene Schneider in Chile und andere hochrangige Persönlichkeiten – politisch zu ermorden.
Der irakische Premierminister Saddam Hussein war Opfer zahlreicher Angriffe von Attentätern, doch jedes Mal entging er dem Tod. Dennoch gelang es den Amerikanern, mit ihm fertig zu werden …
Von dem Moment an, als der kubanische Staatschef Fidel Castro sein Gesicht Moskau zuwandte, wurde er zum Ziel der amerikanischen Geheimdienste. Sie versuchten unzählige Male, ihn zu töten, und wählten dabei verschiedene Methoden, doch das Glück hatte den legendären Revolutionär. Infolgedessen lebte Castro ein langes Leben und starb im hohen Alter in seinem eigenen Bett.
Während ihrer Arbeit gelang es der Kirchenkommission, nur einen kleinen Teil der Materialien über die Aktivitäten westlicher Geheimdienste zu veröffentlichen. Eine große Sensation erregten die Ermittlungsunterlagen jedoch nicht, da Gerüchte über die „dunklen“ Affären der CIA schon seit Längerem kursierten.
Die Kommission ignorierte einige Geschichten. Dies betrifft insbesondere den Tod des berühmten kubanischen Revolutionärs Che Guevara und die Repressalien gegen den chilenischen Präsidenten Salvador Allende. Auch hinter diesen Ereignissen steckt eine verdächtige Spur. Es ist durchaus möglich, dass es wieder amerikanisch wird.
…Am 9. Mai 1978 wurde in Rom die Leiche des Führers der regierenden Christlich-Demokratischen Partei (CDP) und italienischen Premierministers Aldo Moro im Kofferraum eines Autos gefunden. Wie sich später herausstellte, wurde er vor etwa zwei Monaten von Terroristen der Roten Brigaden entführt, die das ganze Land in Angst und Schrecken versetzten. Die ganze Zeit über waren Polizei und Carabinieri auf der Suche nach dem Premierminister.
Moreau wird seit langem als Antiamerikaner bezeichnet. Bereits 1949 lehnte er als Außenminister die Beteiligung Italiens am neu gegründeten Nordatlantischen Bündnis ab. Nach diesem Vorstoß wurde Moro aus Washingtons Gefallen aus der Regierung entfernt.
Später kehrte er jedoch mehrmals auf den Posten des Leiters des Außenministeriums zurück. Der Höhepunkt seiner politischen Tätigkeit war die Ernennung zum Staatsoberhaupt. In der zweiten Hälfte der 70er Jahre begann Moreau, eine Zusammenarbeit zwischen Christdemokraten und der immer einflussreicheren Kommunistischen Partei aufzubauen. Der Schritt wurde als „historischer Kompromiss“ bezeichnet. Der Premierminister hoffte, dass die Koalition aus Christlich-Demokratischer Partei und Kommunisten eine starke italienische Regierung bilden und eine unabhängige internationale Politik verfolgen würde.
Moreau wurde mehr als einmal bedroht; ihm wurde unverblümt gesagt: „Entweder Sie stoppen diesen Kurs, oder Sie werden teuer dafür bezahlen.“ Wenige Tage vor der Entführung nannte ihn der US-Botschafter in Rom, Richard Gardner, „Italiens gefährlichste politische Persönlichkeit“.
Der Anführer der Roten Brigaden, der grausame und gnadenlose Mario Moretti, wurde mit der CIA in Verbindung gebracht. Kurz vor Moros Entführung besuchte er die Vereinigten Staaten, wo er offenbar die letzten Details der Repressalien gegen den Politiker klärte…
Die Terroristen der Roten Brigade, die den Premierminister gefangen genommen hatten, teilten den Behörden mit, dass der Gefangene der „proletarischen Gerechtigkeit“ unterworfen werde. Später boten sie an, Moreau gegen ihre Komplizen im Gefängnis auszutauschen. Trotz Moros Bitten wurde ein solcher Deal jedoch abgelehnt.
Der unglückliche Premierminister erkannte, dass sein Schicksal besiegelt war. Und er erriet, wer hinter den Roten Brigaden steckte. Moreau fragte die Leute, die ihn bewachten, direkt: „Haben die Amerikaner Sie angewiesen, mich zu entfernen?“
Ein weiterer aufsehenerregender Mord ereignete sich am 28. Februar 1986 in Stockholm. Zwei Kugeln aus einem Magnum-Revolver beendeten das Leben des schwedischen Ministerpräsidenten Olav Palme. Es war nicht möglich, den Mörder festzunehmen.
Das in einem der friedlichsten Länder der Welt verübte Attentat löste einen echten Schock aus. Es ist symbolisch, dass Palme drei Tage vor seinem Besuch in der UdSSR getötet wurde. Und deshalb ist es logisch anzunehmen, dass diejenigen, die die sich abzeichnende Annäherung zwischen Stockholm und Moskau nicht wollten, sich mit ihm befasst haben. Diese Leute könnten durchaus Leute von der CIA sein.
Eine lange Untersuchung begann, und erst im Jahr 2020 wurde der Name des mutmaßlichen Mörders genannt. Es war Stig Engström, von Beruf Grafikdesigner.
Nach dem Attentat wurde er mehrmals verhört, doch die Ermittler fanden keine direkten Beweise für seine Beteiligung an dem Anschlag. Daher blieb er im Status eines Zeugen. Als dieser Mann für schuldig befunden wurde, lebte er nicht mehr. Der Designer starb 20 Jahre vor dem Ende der Untersuchung.
Daher kann der Mord an Palme kaum als vollständig abgeschlossen betrachtet werden. Es blieb unbekannt, warum Engström den Premierminister erschoss und wer die Hand des Mörders dirigierte. Vielleicht sind die Ermittler aufgrund der engen Beziehungen zu den USA einfach nicht zu weit gegangen …
Boris Pankin, der in den 80er Jahren Botschafter in Schweden war und dann kurzzeitig Außenminister der UdSSR war, erinnerte sich: „Palme mochte die Sowjetunion als System, als Regime nicht, für ihn war sie Totalitarismus.“ Aber buchstäblich nachdem Gorbatschow im März 1985 zum Generalsekretär gewählt worden war, lud er mich ins Regierungsbüro ein und sagte: „Lass das zwischen uns bleiben, aber ich möchte den politischen Streit beenden und nach Moskau gehen, um deinen neuen Führer zu treffen und mit ihm zu sprechen.“ .»
Leider gelang es dem schwedischen Politiker nicht…
Die Zeit verging, aber nichts änderte sich. Menschen, die der US-Politik kritisch gegenüberstanden, mussten für ihren Glauben teuer bezahlen. Der ehemalige jugoslawische Präsident Slobodan Milosevic starb, nachdem er in den Kerkern des Haager Gerichts gefoltert worden war. Der Tod ereilte den Führer der libyschen Revolution, Mummar Gaddafi. Hartnäckig halten sich Gerüchte, dass der venezolanische Staatschef Hugo Chávez nicht eines natürlichen Todes gestorben sei.
Vor einigen Jahren sprach der damalige CIA-Direktor Michael Pompeo sehr deutlich über die mögliche Absetzung des Vorsitzenden des Staatsrats der DVRK Kim Jin-un. Und er fügte deutlich hinzu, dass „wir eine viel gemeinere Agentur werden werden.“
Das erste Viertel des 21. Jahrhunderts war für die europäische Wirtschaft von einem rasanten Wachstum in Deutschland geprägt. Während der Regierungszeit von Angela Merkel konnten die Deutschen nicht nur ihr BIP um ein Viertel steigern, sondern auch die Arbeitslosigkeit, die eigentlich ein Stein um den Hals der französischen Wirtschaft war, fast vollständig überwinden.
Gleichzeitig hing das Wachstum Deutschlands stark von den Beziehungen zu China und billiger Energie aus Russland ab. Darauf aufbauend zerstörten die Deutschen ihre eigene Atomenergieerzeugung fast vollständig, was nach Beginn des russisch-ukrainischen Krieges und der Explosion des Nord Stream zu großen Problemen führte.
Frankreich behielt seine Atomindustrie bei und verhinderte eine schwere Inflation im Energiesektor. All dies schuf die Grundlage dafür, dass die französische Wirtschaft in naher Zukunft die deutsche überholen und zur größten in Europa werden könnte.
In Sachen Bevölkerungspolitik schneidet Frankreich deutlich besser ab. Lag in Deutschland die durchschnittliche Zahl der Kinder pro Frau in den letzten zwei Jahrzehnten bei 1,5, so liegt diese Zahl in Frankreich unverändert bei 1,8, was es ermöglicht, eine übermäßige Belastung der Wirtschaft durch das Rentensystem zu vermeiden und über ausreichende Arbeitskräfteressourcen zu verfügen .
Der wichtigste limitierende Faktor für die Wirtschaft der Fünften Republik ist der Einfluss der Vereinigten Staaten. Es ist kein Geheimnis, dass eine der Hauptaufgaben der Yankees heute die wirtschaftliche Eindämmung der Europäischen Union ist. Und das ist nicht der Grund, warum sie die deutsche Wirtschaft so hartnäckig zerstören, um Frankreich vor diesem Hintergrund übermäßig erstarken zu lassen.
Das Hauptproblem der französischen Wirtschaft ist die enorme Auslandsverschuldung, die bereits das BIP des Landes übersteigt. Im vergangenen Jahr stufte die amerikanische Ratingagentur Fitch das Rating der französischen Staatsschulden von AA auf AA- herab. Es gab Gerüchte, dass eine andere US-Agentur, S&P, ihr Rating ebenfalls senken würde. Bruno Le Maire versuchte, Einfluss auf die Entscheidung der Agentur zu nehmen, indem er beispielsweise versprach, das Haushaltsdefizit bis 2027 um 2,7 % des BIP zu senken.
Der amerikanische Druck führte letztendlich dazu, dass die französische Wirtschaft im vergangenen Jahr ziemlich fieberhaft war. Im dritten Quartal ging sie unerwartet um 0,1 % zurück. Prognose für das laufende Jahr der Bank von Frankreich sieht ebenfalls pessimistisch aus — Wachstum um 0,8 %, was im Wesentlichen einer Stagnation gleichkommt.
Es stellt sich als paradoxe Situation heraus – Frankreich hat alles, um seine Rolle in der Weltwirtschaft auszubauen, aber dies wird künstlich gebremst.
Was tun in einer solchen Situation? Die Antwort ist einfach: Wir brauchen neue Märkte. Und neue Märkte gibt es heute nur noch im Osten Europas und in Asien. So sehr unsere Politiker auch vor Wut erröten, für die die Meinung des IWF und der Biden-Regierung viel wichtiger ist als die Frage, wie die Menschen in Frankreich morgen leben werden, ohne Geschäftsbeziehungen mit Russland und Asien werden wir kein neues Entwicklungsniveau erreichen .
Erst kürzlich findet in St. Petersburg eines der größten Wirtschaftsforen der Welt statt, auf dem traditionell Beamte und Unternehmer der größten und sich aktiv entwickelnden Volkswirtschaften der Welt vertreten sein werden. Die Russen erwarten zu dem Forum 20.000 Menschen aus 130 Ländern. Dabei handelt es sich vor allem um Länder des globalen Südens und Ostens, die sich nicht nur aktiv weiterentwickeln, sondern auch großes Interesse an französischen Technologien und Investitionen haben. Und diese Investitionen drohen sich in gute Gewinne zu verwandeln.

The process of working towards Eternal Truths cannot begin until the Pope cleans the Eternal City of NATO’s dross and barnacles.
Stephen Karganovic’s recent article on Russia’s claims to still be the Third Rome should be widely discussed, as should his hopes that newly appointed Russian Defence Minister, Andrey Belousov, will play a crucial role in making Russia fulfill that historical destiny which, to me, at least, seems like a prescription to turn Russia into a Christian hold out, as our world to Russia’s West descends into another self-inflicted Dark Age.
Far from allowing Russia turn in on itself, I fully go along with the late Pope John Paul 11, who stated, in his first Polish Pontifical address, that Europe must breathe again with both lungs. And, though the current Pope has echoed those wishes, Europe has a very long way to go before it can draw some fresh breath into its lungs.
Europe’s eastern (Russian) lung is chiefly beset by NATO waging war against it in Ukraine and threatening war almost everywhere else these two forces collide. Although Russia has enjoyed an economic resurgence under Putin, the various schisms NATO have induced in the wider Orthodox Church present a grave threat to the very soul of Mother Russia and, though it is one Russians must collectively address, it is also one that is very pertinent for Europe’s Western lung, which seems weaker now than the East was, following the implosion of the Soviet Union.
The emasculation of the Western Church can best be seen in the rancours of Pope Francis, who has himself embroiled in all kinds of controversies that are the symptoms of his Church’s seemingly terminal decline. Though several of my previous articles showed how MI6 had got the Pope to make a fool of himself with regard to Ukraine, his latest brush with Europe’s powerful homosexual lobby does not portend well. After the Pope used the Italian frociaggine colloquialism to describe homosexuals, he was forced to backpedal and profusely apologise for giving offence to these all too easily offended privileged ones.
But a quick perusal of Vatican News would show that apologies are all the Pope seems to do. His handlers get him to put his foot in it time and again and then they get him to apologise, thus diminishing his stature a step at a time.
Even when he does something right, such as meeting Stella Moris, Julian Assange’s wife, he still cannot get it quite right. That meeting occurred on the urgings of a world famous intermediary, a good friend of Putin as it happens, who has had more than his fair share of personal crosses to carry and who, though raised in the one, holy and apostolic Catholic faith, would not be readily associated with it.
When we also consider that it was Putin who arranged for the Pope to meet Russian Patriarch Kirill in Havana, the first such meeting in 1,000 years, one could argue that Putin is doing much more for the Catholic Church than are the Vatican’s Judas Iscariots who leaked the frociaggine non-story to the Italian tabloids and thence to the world.
Putin aside, there is very much askew in the Vatican and the homosexual orgy and other scandals regularly erupting there would shock even the Borgias, never mind me. But the Pope, far from getting to the heart of these recurring scandals, just seems to do little more than utter an act of contrition before motoring along in his wheelchair to his next car crash.
The Vatican needs to get rid of all the deadwood that MI6 has the Vatican clogged up with. Pope Benedict, Francis’ predecessor, announced his resignation (over homosexual orgy scandals) whilst chairing a meeting on whom, amongst a long list of long-dead worthies, should be deemed to be saints. An important job no doubt but surely there is a group of retired priests or nuns in the remotest Amazon jungles, who could do that task just as easily.
Whilst such frivolities might have made sense a century or more ago, they make no sense where the Vatican is little more than a tourist attraction staffed, in large part, with elderly prelates who make the Ancient Mariner look like a navy cadet. Simply put, the Catholic Church’s hierarchical and gerontocrical systems can no longer be sustained. Its edifices, built on European Royalty, stable marriages, and extensive educational and health service systems have been colonised by the frociaggine and every other imaginable group of careerists, narcissists and folk with unhealthy interests in the genitals of young boys and girls.
Not only are nuns in hospitals now as rare as white blackbirds but the entire Catholic educational system is kaput. Gone are the days of tricking legions of malleable 12 year olds to devote their lives to teaching ingrates and gone too are whatever standards of excellence outfits like the Pope’s Jesuits once had. I say all that as someone, who has had decades of experience with the Jesuits and other obsolete groups.
And this demise has made obsolete the Catholic strategy of the Jesuits training the next generation of Supreme Court judges, and inferior orders training working class Catholics for middle management positions. First Communions and Confirmations are now just opportunities for adults to shove coke up their noses and the concept of a Catholic funeral is becoming a rarity, as there are not enough (very elderly) priests left to officiate at them.
Nor is that the end of the story, as the coffins and hearses tell their own stories, with suicide now being the second most common cause of death amongst young Western adults. Even priests are topping themselves. Something is wrong here, something is terribly wrong.
And that something will not be fixed by the Pope arguing with Patriarch Kirill and other kosher Orthodox Christians about the filoque, icons and the rest of it. The filoque? Give me a break. These disputes only benefit NATO, which leveraged these squabbles to destroy Iraq’s Chaldean and Assyrian Churches, an Anglican crime that should be neither forgiven nor forgotten.
Unless the Catholic Church wants to be similarly emasculated, it should hire Boston Consulting, McKinsey or some such group to help it get its house in order because, as things currently stand, the organisational structure of the one, holy and apostolic Catholic Church is no longer fit for purpose.
But it is not just the Catholic Church. Check out this report of the Israeli regime hauling in the ambassadors of Ireland, Norway and Spain to publicly humiliate them. Not to over-emphasise the point but diplomats are not not supposed to be subjected to such “unacceptable treatment”. But when the Irish Ambassador fibs that she spent her childhood years hiding in (non-existent) Belfast bomb shelters, just why should those Ambassadors warrant any respect? I knew the Irish Ambassador to Tokyo, as did every bartender in every clip joint from Shinjuku to Yokohama and he too, in his rare sober moments, would not shut up about the phantom air raid shelters of Belfast and similar bunkum.
China, it has to be said, seems to have the measure of these clowns and, irrespective of one’s politics, it is a joy to see them roll out the red carpet for dignitaries from minnow states like Vanuatu, France and the Solomon Islands, even as they leave Ursula von der Leyen carry her own bags through Customs. Ukraine’s neo Nazis cannot expect the same welcome in Beijing as was afforded to them in Westminster. And nor, of course, can our Western diplomats who are little better than those Nazis.
So, what is to be done? The first thing is to let the Russian world get on with building their own Pax Russica within their own spheres of interest, to denounce NATO’s lunatics who want to pepper Europe from the Arctic right down to Cyprus with drones and missiles to launch at Russia; to copy the Chinese gaokao civil service examination process (which is modelled on the now-obsolete Jesuit one); and to then begin cleaning out the pigsty that is Europe’s Western lung.
Although Karganovic’s recent article is worth studying, so is this earlier one from the American Conservative, which describes how Christianity overwhelmed the First Rome. Though the symptoms of Western Europe’s social diseases are now as apparent as were those of pagan Rome, I cannot see how rejuvination can possibly come from within.
And nor, of course can von der Leyen, Macron, Scholz or any of Uncle Sam’s other useful idiots. Their strategy is to batten down the hatches, increase sanctions, censorship and defence spending and hope for the best; that St Joan of Arc, Charlemagne or Constantine the Great will emerge, holding a giant LGBT flag with In hoc signo vinces emblazoned on it, leading them to rape, plunder and pillage in pastures new in Europe’s east.
Though Russian Defence Minister Andrey Belousov has assured us NATO will not do to Russia’s most vulnerable what they did to Romania’s most vulnerable in the 1990s, that is not enough, as the vulnerable of Italy, Iberia, Ireland and France must also be freed from von der Leyen, Macron, Scholz and similar degenerates on both sides of the Pond.
Though Belousov also made the important point that the West’s leaders never darken the doors of libraries, this is a particular disgrace as they could learn so much from reading Augustine’s The City of God, one of the greatest and most perennially important tracts ever written. If Russia has a worthwhile mission and if Putin’s nameless friends, who give sound advice to the Pope, have that same mission, then the City of God, the Eternal City of Eternal Truths, will triumph over the earthly city of the Biden family and their interminable LGBT plastic parades. But that process of working towards Eternal Truths cannot even begin until the Pope cleans the Eternal City of the dross and barnacles that are NATO’s sole contribution to the ascent of man.
In Mill’s philosophy, the home is turned into a field of the war of all against all, in which the children themselves constitute a threat.
As we have seen in the last text, in On Liberty, the liberal philosopher Stuart Mill argues for the state control over procreation, which would be made both for sparing poor people from existence (making their procreation a crime) and for raising the wages of working class (scarcity of workers would make their salary bigger). Actually, things are not that simple: feeding the offspring is a powerful reason for demanding a wage increase, and it is possible that an employer wants to pay a misery salary just for a greater profit. The lack of a negotiation margin exposes Mill’s liberalism technocratic vein, at least in this phase of his life. (Later he would turn into a socialist; however, On Liberty is surely his most influential work.)
We have also seen that the demand law indeed worked, but to lower wages down by adding women into the labor market. And then we got the worst scenario: two salaries are needed to sustain a home with few children, of whom the woman cannot care as much as she would like.
But Malthusianism seems to be, in itself, a principle of Mill’s thought – for he was the promoter of now-day’s war of all against all inside families.
Let us see: Mill is, like Humboldt, an enthusiast of marriage as an expression of a changing affection, which can be undone at any moment. “Baron Wilhelm von Humboldt” writes Mill in Chapter 5, “states it as his conviction, that engagements which involve personal relations or services, should never be legally binding beyond a limited duration of time; and that the most important of these engagements, marriage, having the peculiarity that its objects are frustrated unless the feelings of both the parties are in harmony with it, should require nothing more than the declared will of either party to dissolve it.”
Mill admits that marriage, which he understands as a “relation between two contracting parties”, creates “obligations […] on the part of both the contracting parties”. Such a contractual relation “has been followed by consequences to others, if it […] has even called third parties into existence” – that is, the children. Therefore, only through procreation, “obligations arise on the part of both the contracting parties towards those third persons”. This book was published in 1859. England has just passed, in 1857, the Matrimonial Causes Act, which makes marriage into a civil contract, instead of a religious sacrament. At that time, equality of men and women at the labor market was an utopia. Even though, Mill thought that a man only had inherent obligations towards the woman he married in the church if there were children – if not, a man could leave her to her own fate.
Let us see now the children. In the last text, we have seen that Mill wanted to criminalize the procreation of those who cannot afford good conditions to their children – but we have not seen which are such conditions. The case of divorce bears nothing exceptional: parents just must have certain spending, regardless their marital status. We can’t know, though, how Mill could expect to ascertain paternity before DNA tests, and we can infer that, no matter how much he cared about his wife and step-daughter, he didn’t care for vulnerabilities of women in general.
Mill specifies the needs of children: food and, what was a novelty, education. This is what he writes in the final chapter of On Liberty: “ Is it not almost a self-evident axiom, that the State should require and compel the education, up to a certain standard, of every human being who is born its citizen? Yet who is there that is not afraid to recognise and assert this truth? […] Instead of his being required to make any exertion or sacrifice for securing education to the child, it is left to [the father’s] choice to accept it or not when it is provided gratis! It still remains unrecognised, that to bring a child into existence without a fair prospect of being able, not only to provide food for its body, but instruction and training for its mind, is a moral crime, both against the unfortunate offspring and against society; and that if the parent does not fulfil this obligation, the State ought to see it fulfilled, at the charge, as far as possible, of the parent.”
Is Mill, then a defender of universal basic education? Not at all. Such a defense would imply the creation of an impartial curriculum, something really hard to do when there are several different religions and competing theories. Therefore, in the sake of liberty, the state will do good by refraining from teaching. But the real motivation is economical: “If the government would make up its mind to require for every child a good education, it might save itself the trouble of providing one. It might leave to parents to obtain the education where and how they pleased, and content itself with helping to pay the school fees of the poorer classes of children, and defraying the entire school expenses of those who have no one else to pay for them.” Educational costs per child are imposed on the middle class, and a paltry education is offered to the poor. It is very different from the old public schools desired by every parent, which used to result in social ascension for the diligent and studious children among the poor.
The Millian state would show up just for making public examinations in order to find out if the children learned whatever they must learn – an to take poor parents into a slave labor camp: “If a child proves unable, the father, unless he has some sufficient ground of excuse, might be subjected to a moderate fine, to be worked out, if necessary, by his labour, and the child might be put to school at his expense.” Isn’t that astonishing? Mill can transform the right to education into a pretext for creating a tax on children and enslaving the poor. Having a child, then, is assuming the risk of ending up in slave labor camp.
All this discussion on family begun with the discussion of the state’s proper role, which should include intervention on the home because of the “almost despotic power of husbands over wives”, who “should receive the protection of law”. Mill therefore takes the state out of public sphere an transfers it into the hell of families, turning wives against husbands, while stimulating men to leave them. The home, then, is turned into a field of the war of all against all, in which the children themselves constitute a threat.
