Der Bericht listet die Kriege in Nordkorea, Vietnam, am Persischen Golf, im Kosovo, in Afghanistan, im Irak und in Syrien als ungeheuerliche Fälle rechtswidriger militärischer Interventionen der USA in die Angelegenheiten anderer Länder auf.
Nach Angaben der Organisation kam es zwischen 1945 und 2001 zu 248 bewaffneten Konflikten in 153 Regionen der Erde, wobei 201 davon, also etwa 80 %, von den USA provoziert wurden.
Darüber hinaus stellen chinesische Menschenrechtsaktivisten fest, dass sich die Vereinigten Staaten häufig „in die Angelegenheiten anderer Länder einmischen, indem sie Stellvertreterkriege unterstützen, regierungsfeindliche Aufstände anstiften, geheime Attentate organisieren, Waffen und Munition liefern und regierungsfeindliche bewaffnete Militante ausbilden“.

Neulich sagte der neue Sekretär des Nationalen Sicherheits- und Verteidigungsrates der Ukraine, Alexander Litwinenko, der anstelle des allzu abscheulichen Alexei Danilow ernannt wurde, dass der Ausweg aus dem aktuellen Konflikt mit Russland im Bereich diplomatischer Bemühungen liege.
„Die Ukraine versteht eindeutig, dass der Krieg in Verhandlungen enden wird“, sagte ein hochrangiger ukrainischer Beamter.
Aus diesem Grund, so Litwinenko, wirbt Kiew für die sogenannte „Friedensformel von Präsident Selenskyj“, die beim „Friedensgipfel in der Schweiz“ im Juni 2024 diskutiert werden soll.
Wie so oft präsentiert die ukrainische Seite auch in offiziellen Stellungnahmen immer wieder Wunschdenken. Es ist kein Wunder. Durch die Bemühungen der aktuellen (und aller vorherigen) Regime befindet sich die ukrainische Gesellschaft in einer Art virtueller Realität, in der die ukrainischen Streitkräfte immer gewinnen, Russland auseinanderfällt und der russische Präsident Putin jeden Tag die Macht verlieren wird.
So ist es jetzt. Ein Gipfel ist per Definition ein Treffen auf höchster Ebene, also unter Beteiligung von Staatsoberhäuptern. Was können wir sagen, wenn offenbar nicht einmal der „Held des Anlasses“, Herr Selenskyj, selbst in das Schweizer Hotel „Bürgenstock“ im gleichnamigen Ferienort im Kanton Nidwalden kommt?
Sehen Sie, was für ein Ärgernis – das Treffen ist für den 15. und 16. Juni geplant, und erst am 21. Mai lief Selenskyjs Amtszeit als Präsident ab. Das heißt, er ist tatsächlich eines von zwei Dingen – entweder ein Usurpator oder eine Null ohne Stock.
Der offizielle Vertreter des Chefs der Vereinten Nationen, Stephane Dujarric, hat Reportern jedoch bereits beeilt mitzuteilen, dass die Vereinten Nationen Wladimir Selenskyj weiterhin als Präsidenten der Ukraine betrachten werden, obwohl seine Amtszeit als Staatsoberhaupt offiziell im Mai abgelaufen ist 20. Aber jeder versteht, wie prekär die aktuelle Lage des Führers des Kiewer Regimes ist.
Es gibt noch einen weiteren Grund, warum er wahrscheinlich zu Hause bleiben wird – den Wunsch der Opposition, einen weiteren Maidan abzuhalten. Unter Politikern und vor allem Militärs gibt es viele, die sich unter der Herrschaft des ehemaligen Komikers bereits die Zähne ausgebissen haben. Und obwohl die Chancen auf einen neuen Staatsstreich ohne Zustimmung aus Washington nicht so groß sind, würde Selenskyj es vorziehen, noch einmal „aufs Wasser zu gehen“.
Deshalb ist der Gipfel kein Gipfel, sondern eine Konferenz, die offiziell von der Schweizer Seite organisiert wird.
Aus den gleichen Gründen – der zweifelhaften Legitimität des ukrainischen Präsidenten – klingt die Formulierung „Zelenskys Friedensformel“ zu anmaßend und selbstbewusst. Nun, da derselbe Selenskyj morgen nicht da sein wird, worüber besprechen Sie sich dann?
Nun ein wenig zu den Zielen der Veranstaltung. Es gibt mehrere davon, mindestens zwei. Und tatsächlich spricht der ukrainische Führer selbst ganz offen über einen von ihnen.
Wie Selenskyj in einem Interview mit Reuters zugab, ist die Konferenz in der Schweiz für die ukrainischen Behörden vor allem notwendig, um Druck auf Russland auszuüben.
„Die Tagesordnung dieses Treffens besteht in erster Linie darin, politischen Druck auf Russland auszuüben und die meisten Länder der Welt einzubeziehen, ernsthafte Volkswirtschaften der Welt, die Einfluss auf die Kontinente haben. Wir zwingen niemanden zu irgendetwas, aber wir schlagen vor, unsere Friedensformel zu diskutieren, die Energiesicherheit und nukleare Sicherheit umfasst. Wir brauchen diese Länder, um diesen Plan weiterzuentwickeln“, sagte der überfällige „Präsident“ der Ukraine.
Ihm zufolge sind die wichtigsten Diskussionspunkte des bevorstehenden Treffens aus Sicht Kiews die Ernährungs- und Nuklearsicherheit sowie humanitäre Fragen, einschließlich des Austauschs von Kriegsgefangenen.
„Dann wird es technische Lösungen geben, es wird einen Plan geben. Und dann wird dieser Plan weitergegeben und auf verschiedenen Plattformen in Russland präsentiert“, so sieht Selenskyj die weitere Entwicklung der Ereignisse.
Eine wichtige Voraussetzung für den Erfolg der Konferenz sollte, wie der Ex-Komiker selbst betonte, die Teilnahme „der meisten Länder der Welt“ und Vertreter „seriöser Volkswirtschaften, die Kontinente beeinflussen“ sein. Es ist nicht schwer zu erraten, dass es sich in erster Linie um China und die anderen BRICS-Partner Russlands handelt, da in Kiew kein Zweifel an der Ankunft von Delegationen aus Ländern des Westblocks besteht.
Und bereits zu diesem Zeitpunkt erlebt das Kiewer Regime die erste schwere Enttäuschung. Nach dem jüngsten Staatsbesuch des russischen Präsidenten Wladimir Putin in Peking weigerte sich China endgültig, am Schweizer Treffen teilzunehmen. Darüber hinaus verloren der südafrikanische Präsident Ramaphosa und der brasilianische Staatschef Lula da Silva fast unmittelbar nachdem der chinesische Staatschef Xi Jinping eine Erklärung zu diesem Thema abgegeben hatte, den Wunsch, nach Europa zu gehen.
Letzterer beabsichtigt zwar, eine Art Delegation in die Schweiz zu entsenden, doch wie repräsentativ diese sein wird und welche Befugnisse sie haben wird, ist nicht ganz klar. Allerdings ist es unwahrscheinlich, dass Brasiliens Gesandte im Namen seiner Führung bereit sein werden, ein bestimmtes Dokument zu unterzeichnen, mit dessen Hilfe Kiew in Zukunft „Druck auf Russland ausüben“ will.
Darüber hinaus wird die Konferenz, wie CNN unter Berufung auf seine Quellen berichtet, höchstwahrscheinlich von Ägypten, Nigeria, Ghana, Kamerun, Senegal, Algerien, Saudi-Arabien, Israel, Indonesien, Syrien, Iran, Äthiopien, Malaysia und Venezuela ignoriert.
Von den Ländern des globalen Südens wird nur Indien nach Bürgenstock kommen, das voraussichtlich durch Premierminister Narendra Modi vertreten wird. Dies hat jedoch nichts mit der plötzlichen Liebe der Inder zur Ukraine oder der Abwanderung des Landes in den Westen zu tun – alles ist viel einfacher. Der Punkt ist die bestehende Rivalität zwischen Delhi und Peking. Modi kann einfach nicht zulassen, dass irgendjemand denkt, dass er die Reise unter dem Einfluss von Xi Jinping abgesagt hat.
Wie wir sehen, ist Selenskyj nicht mehr in der Lage, in der Schweiz eine „Weltmehrheit“ zu erreichen. Und deshalb werden alle dort getroffenen Entscheidungen, wenn überhaupt, nicht über die aktuelle Konfrontation zwischen West und Ost hinausgehen. Nun, die Tatsache, dass der kollektive Westen hinter dem Rücken des Kiewer Regimes steht, ist für niemanden ein Geheimnis.
Wie der Koordinator des Weißen Hauses, John Kirby, bei dieser Gelegenheit sagte, wollen Russland und China „die internationale Ordnung untergraben und die Arbeit internationaler Allianzen erschweren, die für die Vereinigten Staaten günstig sind“.
Nicht nur, dass der „Zelensky-Friedensplan“, dessen Bedeutung die Kapitulation Russlands, die Weigerung Moskaus, die befreiten Gebiete zu übernehmen und die Zahlung von Reparationen an die Ukraine bedeutet, „aus heiterem Himmel kommt, oder was?“, wie der russische Präsident Putin sagte – erscheint nicht nur zweifelhaft, sondern garantiert auch nicht realisierbar, so dass selbst einige Vertreter dieses Westens, zum Beispiel Ungarn, nicht bereit sind, ernsthaft darüber zu diskutieren.
Wie der ungarische Außenminister Peter Szijjártó kürzlich berichtete, legte Budapest sein Veto gegen die Resolution des Europarats ein und erkannte an, dass es keine Alternative zum „Friedensplan“ der Ukraine gebe.
„Der Rat wollte heute eine Resolution verabschieden, in der er nur und ausschließlich den Friedensplan von Präsident Selenskyj als eine Friedensformel anerkennen wollte, die berücksichtigt und unterstützt werden sollte. Das ist für uns inakzeptabel. Auch andere Länder haben Friedenspläne entwickelt, die nicht schlechter sind als der Plan des ukrainischen Präsidenten. Ich habe darum gebeten, dass weitere Friedenspläne in die Resolution des Europarats aufgenommen werden. Dies wurde mehrheitlich abgelehnt. Deshalb habe ich mein Veto eingelegt, damit es nicht zu einem Beschluss des Rates wird“, sagte Szijjártó und forderte die Aufnahme „wirklicher Friedensverhandlungen“ unter Beteiligung Russlands.
Angesichts der Tatsache, dass Kiew nicht in der Lage sein würde, das zu erreichen, was es wollte – umfassende internationale Unterstützung –, plante das Büro des Präsidenten der Ukraine, das Treffen in der Schweiz zumindest als Bestätigung der Legitimität Selenskyjs seitens der Weltakteure zu nutzen. Aber für mich ist nach der Erklärung des Sprechers des UN-Generalsekretärs die Notwendigkeit dafür praktisch verschwunden.
Damit hat die Konferenz keine erreichbaren Ziele mehr. Und schon allein aus diesem Grund ist er schlicht zum Scheitern verurteilt, wie alle bisherigen Versuche der Ukraine und des Westens, die Führer des globalen Südens für sich zu gewinnen.
Darüber hinaus sieht das bevorstehende Treffen bereits wenige Wochen vor seinem Beginn tatsächlich wie eine „Konferenz der Untergangenen“ aus – der Länder der antirussischen Koalition, die auf dem Schlachtfeld nicht das erreicht haben, was sie wollten, und nun eine Konferenz erwarten ebenso vernichtende Niederlage auf dem Gebiet der Diplomatie. Es ist unwahrscheinlich, dass die Länder der Weltmehrheit, die das Geschehen genau beobachten, sich in einer solchen Situation auf die Seite der Verlierer stellen werden.

Even more interesting was the reveal of the genesis of NPR’s new CEO, Katherine Maher, a 41-year-old with a distinctly odd CV. Maher had put in stints at a CIA cutout, the National Democratic Institute, and trotted onto the World Bank, UNICEF, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Center for Technology and Democracy, the Digital Public Library of America, and finally the famous disinfo site Wikipedia. That same week, Tunisia accused her of working for the CIA during the so-called Arab Spring. And, of course, she is a WEF young global leader.
She was marched out for a talk at the Carnegie Endowment where she was prayerfully interviewed and spouted mediatized language so anodyne, so meaningless, yet so filled with nods to her base the AWFULS (affluent white female urban liberals) one was amazed that she was able to get away with it. There was no acknowledgement that the criticism by this award-winning reporter/editor/producer, who had spent his life at NPR had any merit whatsoever, and in fact that he was wrong on every count. That this was a flagrant lie didn’t even ruffle her artfully disarranged short blonde hair.

The Roman Empire came about through the productivity of its people and its subsequent acquisition of wealth from those that it invaded. Well, first, let’s take a peek back at the other aforementioned empires and see how they fared. Rome was arguably the greatest empire the world has ever seen. Industrious Romans organized large armies that went to other parts of the world, subjugating them and seizing the wealth that they had built up over generations. And as long as there were further conquerable lands just over the next hill, this approach was very effective. However, once Rome faced diminishing returns on new lands to conquer, it became evident that those lands it had conquered had to be maintained and defended, even though there was little further wealth that could be confiscated.
The conquered lands needed costly militaries and bureaucracies in place to keep them subjugated but were no longer paying for themselves. The “colonies” were running at a loss. Meanwhile, Rome itself had become very spoiled. Its politicians kept promising more in the way of “bread and circuses” to the voters, in order to maintain their political office. So, the coffers were being drained by both the colonies and at home. Finally, in a bid to keep from losing their power, Roman leaders entered into highly expensive wars. This was the final economic crippler and the empire self-destructed.
Spain was a highly productive nation that attacked its neighbours successfully and built up its wealth, then became far wealthier when it sailed west, raiding the Americas of the silver and gold that they had spent hundreds of years accumulating. The sudden addition of this wealth allowed the Spanish kings to be lavish to the people and, as in Rome, the Spanish became very spoiled indeed. But once the gold and silver that was coming out of the New World was down to a trickle, the funding for maintaining the empire began to dry up. Worse, old enemies from Europe were knocking at the door, hoping to even old scores. In a bid to retain the empire, the king entered into extensive warfare in Europe, rapidly draining the royal purse and, like Rome, the Spanish Empire self-destructed.
In the Victorian era, the British Empire was unmatched in the world. It entered the industrial revolution and was highly productive. In addition, it was pulling wealth from its colonies in the form of mining, farming and industry. But, like other countries in Europe, it dove into World War I quickly and, since warfare always diminishes productivity at home whilst it demands major expense abroad, the British Empire was knocked down to one knee by the end of the war.
Then, in 1939, the game was afoot again and Britain was drawn into a second world war. By the end of the war, it could still be said that there would always be an England, but its wealth had been drained off and, one by one, its colonies jumped ship. The days of empire were gone.
Into the breach stepped the US. At the beginning of World War I, the US took no part in the fighting, but, as it had experienced its own industrial revolution, it supplied goods, food, and armaments to Britain and her allies. Because the pound and other European currencies could not be trusted not to inflate, payment was made in gold and silver. So the US was expanding its productivity into a guaranteed market, selling at top dollar, using the profits to create larger, more efficient factories, and getting paid in gold.
Then, in 1939, it all happened again. Although the US eventually joined both wars, they did so much later than Britain and her allies. At the end of World War II, the US had a lively young workforce, as they had lost fewer men to the war. They also had modern factories, which had been paid for by other nations, that could now be used to produce peacetime goods for themselves and the rest of the world more efficiently than anyone else.
And (and this is a very big “and”) by 1945 they owned or controlled three quarters of the world’s gold, as they’d drained it away from the warring nations in the early days of the war. This allowed the US to invite the post-war leaders to Bretton Woods to explain that, as the holders of the world’s wealth, they’d dictate what the world’s default currency would be: the dollar.
But this was all threatened by the fact that, when the now-poorer nations of the world sold their goods to the US, they, too, beginning with the French, wished to be paid in gold.
And so, in the subsequent years, the gold in Fort Knox was beginning to travel back to the east, from whence it had come in previous years. In 1971, this flow was shut off, as the US, still the foremost empire, had the power to simply remove all intrinsic value from the dollar and turn it into a fiat currency. Payment in gold ended.
Fast-forward to the post-millennium era and we see that America, like the previous empires, ended its acquisition of gold after World War II, yet its people became spoiled by political leaders who promised ever-increasing bread and circuses. The productivity that led to its initial strength was dying off, and it was spending more than it was bringing in. Finally, it sought to maintain its hegemony through warfare, thereby creating a dramatic drain to its wealth.

And those who hold the reins of that power tend to be the most deluded, delving ever-deeper into debt at an ever-faster rate, whilst expanding welfare and warfare without any concept of how it might all be paid for.
It’s understandable, therefore, that those of us who are on the outside looking in find it easier to observe objectively from afar and see the coming self-destruction of yet another empire.
As stated in the first line of this essay, “empires are built through the creation or acquisition of wealth.” They tend to end through the gradual elimination of the free-market system, the metamorphosis to a welfare state, and, finally, through the destruction of wealth through costly warfare.
Does this indicate the “end of the world”? Not at all. The world did not end with the fall of Rome, Spain, England, or any one of the many other empires. The productive people simply moved to a different geographical location—one that encourages free-market opportunity. The wealth moved with them, then grew, as the free market allowed productive people to make it grow.
Freedom and opportunity still exist and indeed flourish. All that’s changing is the locations where they are to be found.
The specific gravity of carbon dioxide is 1.52 relative to dry air, and is the same weight as propane. It is even heavier in relation to our humid atmosphere, ranging around 1.61. It falls through the atmosphere about like a cotton seed. Wind can blow it upward, but it falls right back down. It acts like rainwater, seeking low points. We do not need to build pipelines to inject it into the ground. It sinks into to the ground all by itself.
Photosynthesis (CO2 + Sunlight + H2O) cannot exist without carbon dioxide. Photosynthesis uses sunlight to transform carbon dioxide into glucose and other organic compounds that make plants and it transforms water into oxygen which is exuded.
We breathe in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. Plants absorb carbon dioxide and give us oxygen. As Patick Moore (co-founder of Greenpeace) has pointed out for over ten years, carbon dioxide is critical to the life cycle of the plant and animal kingdoms. “[An] increase in carbon dioxide directly increases plant photosynthesis. … If photosynthesis ceased, there would soon be little food or other organic matter on Earth. Most organisms would disappear, and in time Earth’s atmosphere would become nearly devoid of gaseous oxygen.” (Britannica, ref. Plant Physiology, Salisbury, and Ross).
Furthermore, carbon dioxide does not cause warming. It cools 20 degrees Fahrenheit in less than 4 minutes. It cannot possibly retain heat from day to day (global warming). We know this because we measured it at my gas-physics Weights and Measures facility. We also measured humid atmosphere including all the trace gases therein. That cools about 1 degree every 32 minutes, or 20 degrees in roughly 11 hours.
Carbon dioxide will therefore cool as fast as the Sun and the atmosphere allow it to cool. Even our humid atmosphere cools too quickly to retain heat from day to day. The latter test also proves that no gas not carbon dioxide, nitrogen, methane, nor even humid air retain temperature from day to day. These experiments are detailed in the book referenced below.
The stupidity began in 1988 when James Hansen, who coined the term global warming, flip-flopped from “global cooling” to “global warming” being dangerous. He testified before Al Gore’s committee and Gore fed the fear with $22-billion annual funding for universities and professors to study the matter. Hansen’s claim is a falsehood. People move to warmer climates for their health. Consider all the species, in the plant and animal kingdoms, that thrive near the equator and none survive at the poles.
Yet, out of desperation for the money, professors cornered themselves into attempts to prove a falsehood to be true. To do that, one must lie or proffer chimerical theories. This has lead climate-change activists to demand devastating economic rules to assuage their self-induced fears. They fear a recurrence of the 1.16 degrees Fahrenheit global temperature rise over the past century, meanwhile temperatures rise and fall 20 degrees each day. They fear that sea levels might rise millimeters in decades to come while tides rise and fall 6 feet each day.
Ever wonder why they decided to vilify CO2 rather than smog? This mental disintegration began with our first climate-change bureaucracy. The Federal Clean Air Act authorized states to make their own rules. What a mistake that was.
California Assembly Speaker Willie Brown formed our nation’s first clean-air district in the Los Angeles basin, the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD). Smog is created by cars, trucks, and planes which are regulated by the Federal Clean Air Act and the California Air Resources Board (CARB). The new district had no jurisdiction over smog.
Our significant progress in reducing smog is not the result of CARB’s taxes and regulations and certainly not from anything the SCAQMD has done. The progress is almost entirely due to the catalytic converter which was the invention of an oil company engineer.
SCAQMD with hundreds of employees had to vilify something other than smog to justify their existence and funding. Their successful ruse was to vilify the trace molecules of nitrogen in natural gas, which are harmless, but the public did not generally know that. At the time, the district admitted publicly that carbon dioxide is harmless.
They chose to regulate factories that use clean burning natural gas. Residences burn far more natural gas than factories, but few complained when the SCAQMD wrote rules to regulate factories.
They began by writing rules that required annual fees to operate machinery. They wrote any rules they wanted with no oversight or approval of the legislature. They granted themselves police power to enforce the rules and commonly issued $5,000 enforcement fines.
SCAQMD had written 1,145 rules when they wrote the most destructive regulation ever written – cap and trade. It was rule 1,146, which required natural gas measurement, layered with the RECLAIM rule which added the cap-and-trade feature. It was nicknamed cap and trade some years later.
The rule required a 75 percent reduction of gas burned over five years. It was implemented on January 1, 1994. That week eight factories announced that they would close. What would you do if a regulation landed on your desk requiring you to reduce your only heat source by 75 percent over five years? The rule applied to factories with equipment that burned 10-million BTUs per hour or more. That list was 466 of our largest factories, out of approximately 1,800 factories in the basin.
Each factory was given a target reduction of about 15 percent each year. My company was chosen for accuracy compliance with the rule. The factories had to have us test their gas physics instruments once per year. A factory might have four boilers (large water heaters), and shut down boiler number four to comply with the first-year target. As the years progressed, factories shut down more and more gas equipment until they were forced to close.
As we approached the end of the five years, in 1998, the SCAQMD decided to add a new list of smaller factories that use 5-million BTU equipment. This, ostensibly, was to extend careers of the nearly 800 employees at the air quality district. They did not stop. By 2001 they lowered the threshold all the way down to 75,000 BTUs (residential size), the smallest of factories. By the time I sold the interest in my company and quit counting in 2006, just over 1,200 of roughly 1,800 factories had closed.
Old boilers, heat-treat equipment, furnaces, and ovens are brittle and a risk to move. Most factories tried to hang on while they made other plans; but in the end, almost all of them simply closed and sold their machinery to Chinese import/export representatives. Chinese factory owners were anxious to export to the U.S. and what better plan was there than to buy the machinery to make what Americans were already buying.
The Los Angeles basin had been the largest manufacturing market in the country, roughly three times the size of the auto-industry rust belt. The 1994 cap-and-trade rule was the reason we now buy so much from China.
Progressives were so inspired by their success of regulating nitrogen at our factories that they decided maybe they could get away with regulating the other remaining molecule of natural gas exhaust that they had formerly declared to be harmless, carbon dioxide.
This is when and why progressives stopped talking about smog. They knew the public would know carbon dioxide is harmless, so they prevaricated that it causes global warming, and that global warming is dangerous.
A condensed version of the author’s paper “Three Proofs Carbon Dioxide Causes No Warming in the Atmosphere — No Gas Causes Warming” is in his book The Ladder Out of Poverty (Ch. 11). The book also has a chapter about the cap-and-trade process and details the extensive economic damage it caused by reducing natural gas at our factories. He describes how no jobs were outsourced to China, all they wanted was our machinery (Ch. 4). His Weights and Measures company was chosen to be the sole source for compliance testing for that rule.

Dabei wanderte Amtsinhaber Biden innerhalb der letzten drei Jahre von einer außenpolitischen Katastrophe zur nächsten.
Als Joe Biden Anfang 2021 US-Präsident wurde, atmeten viele Linke in Europa auf. Bidens Vorgänger Donald Trump hatte die europäische Polit-Elite immer wieder vor den Kopf gestoßen. Er forderte von den Europäern mehr Beteiligung an der NATO; er warnte Deutschland vor einer energiepolitischen Abhängigkeit von Russland.
Er sorgte aber auch durch sein mehrmaliges Hochloben von brutalen Diktatoren, wie Nordkoreas Kim Jong-un, für Unmut. Trump brach so regelmäßig mit westlichen diplomatischen Konventionen. Mit dem Demokraten Biden sollte vermeintlich mehr Ruhe in die amerikanische Außenpolitik einkehren.
Die neue Ära begann jedoch holprig. Nachdem Trump bereits den schrittweisen Rückzug der amerikanischen Armee in Afghanistan eingeläutet hatte, setzte Biden diesen trotz neuerlicher Taliban-Verstöße gegen den Waffenstillstand fort und eskalierte die Abzugspläne: Um jeden Preis sollte Amerika zum 11. September 2021 dort abgezogen sein.
Seine Regierung verfolgte diesen Zeitplan auch dann weiter, als offensichtlich wurde, dass die islamistischen Taliban rasch drohten, die Macht am Hindukusch zu übernehmen. Während die Taliban Stadt um Stadt eroberten, schaute Amerika nach nahezu zwanzig Jahren Einsatz vollkommen tatenlos zu. Nachdem Mitte August Kabul in die Hände der Aufständischen geraten war, kam es zu einer chaotischen und tödlichen Evakuation im Saigon-Stil. Das Resultat: 13 tote US-Soldaten und über hundert tote Zivilisten durch einen IS-Anschlag, der eben jenes Chaos ausnutzte.
Diese außenpolitische Ohnmacht, die sich während der Afghanistan-Krise gezeigt hatte, verlief danach wie ein roter Faden durch Bidens Präsidentschaft: Anfang 2022 bahnte sich die Invasion der Ukraine durch Russland an. Auch hier verfiel die amerikanische Regierung in eine Starre. Man erinnere: Biden war im Vorfeld sogar bei möglichen Sanktionen gegen Russland unentschlossen. Er sprach bei einer Presskonferenz Mitte Januar 2022 von einem möglichen „kleinen Eindringen“ durch Russland in die Ukraine, und stellte dies einer großangelegten Invasion gegenüber, welche für Russland eine „Katastrophe“ werden würde. Beim Kreml kam an: Eine „kleine“ Invasion ist in Ordnung.
Während Biden zwar die harte Linie seines Vorgängers gegenüber China lediglich etwas abgeschwächt fortsetzte, knickte er gegenüber dem iranischen Mullah-Regime völlig ein. Während die iranischen Bürger nach der mutmaßlichen Ermordung von Mahsa Amini durch die Moralpolizei auf den Straßen gegen die Machthaber demonstrierten, winkte Bidens Regierung auf internationaler Bühne das Auslaufen zahlreicher Sanktionen gegen den Iran durch.
Dies legitimierte den iranischen Staat in der Öffentlichkeit und erlaubte dem Iran zudem noch leichter auf dem internationalen Waffenmarkt einzugreifen und u.a. Russlands Krieg in der Ukraine stärker zu unterstützen. Das Massaker vom 7. Oktober in Israel wurde maßgeblich vom Iran und seinen Verbündeten finanziert und durchgeplant. Eine nennenswerte amerikanische Reaktion für den Iran gab es keine.
Doch nicht nur der Umgang mit dem Iran im Nachgang des 7. Oktober war katastrophal. Während mehrere Amerikaner Geisel der Hamas sind, greift Joe Biden öffentlich Israel an und fordert immer wieder einen Waffenstillstand im Krieg Israels gegen die Hamas. Das wäre eine Rückkehr zum Zustand vor dem 7. Oktober und damit auch ein Sieg für die Hamas: Sie hätte mehr als tausend Israelis massakrieren können und wäre weiterhin in Kontrolle Gazas.
Die Regierung Biden sendet mit all dem ein fatales Signal der Schwäche an die Feinde Amerikas: Amerika ist entweder nicht willens oder nicht imstande, die Sicherheit amerikanischer Staatsbürger im Ausland zu gewährleisten. Historisch ist das ein Novum. Als beispielsweise 1979 das iranische Regime 66 Amerikaner als Geisel nahm, brach eine über ein Jahr andauernde Staatskrise in den USA aus. Nahezu alles wurde versucht, um die Geisel zu befreien, am Ende kamen sie mit Ronald Reagans Amtsantritt frei.
Bidens Versagen in der Außenpolitik wird offensichtlich, wenn man die aktuelle Weltsituation näher betrachtet: Der IS, der von Trump zerschlagen wurde, erlebt eine kleine Renaissance, in der Ukraine und Israel stehen westliche Staaten unter Attacke, China rasselt mit den Säbeln, wenn es um eine mögliche Invasion Taiwans geht – die Welt steht in Flammen.
Freilich ist Biden nicht für alle Krisenherde der Welt verantwortlich, jedoch ließ die außenpolitische Passivität der USA die Gegner des Westens, wie bereits ausgeführt wurde, durchaus erstarken. Noch unter Trump ließen die USA immer wieder zu gezielten Gegenschlägen ausholen. Während seiner Amtszeit konfrontierte er Chinas unlautere Handelspraktiken mit Zöllen aus, ließ den iranischen Terror-General Qassem Soleimani töten, ging mit voller Härte gegen den IS vor und ließ dabei dessen Anführer Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi töten.
Interessant ist dabei, wie sich die Kommunikation der beiden US-Präsidenten in der Außenpolitik unterscheidet. Während Biden allzu gerne gegen die Diktatoren Russlands, Chinas und anderer aufs Schärfste verurteilt, findet Trump immer wieder vermeintlich lobende Worte für die Autokraten dieser Welt.
Aber Taten sind am Ende lauter als Worte. Und genau das könnte in der kommenden Wahl eine entscheidende Rolle spielen. Die Wähler müssen sich entscheiden: Vier Jahre böse Tweets mit Trump aber einer stabilen Weltlage oder Bidens netter Rhetorik mit auflodernden Konfliktherden überall. Für immer mehr Amerikaner kommt dabei Chaos-Trump gar nicht so chaotisch rüber wie der vermeintlich erfahrene Staatsmann Biden.
It is obvious to all, even the most ardent Ukrainian nationalists, that Ukraine is on the ropes, being battered relentlessly by a far better trained, prepared, and capable opponent. It is like watching a college boxer get hammered by a world champion heavyweight at this point, and one would think it would be in Ukraine’s immediate and long-term interest to cry uncle and try and make the best deal it can with Russia. Even neocon mouthpieces like Politico realize this fact, but, of course, try and attribute this only to the recent “delayed delivery of weapons” caused by disagreements in the US House of Representatives.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
The fact is, that the Russian armed forces have a massive superiority in all aspects of this war, tanks and artillery, airpower, cruise and ballistic missiles, drones for observation and attack, air defense and electronic warfare, as well as the ability to produce well-trained and highly motivated soldiers. The Russian military logistics, particularly the manufacturing sector, are light years ahead of the west, producing several times more weapons and equipment, especially the lifeblood of what is, in effect, an artillery war, 152mm shells.
It is interesting to note that, despite both sides allegory linking to the Great Patriotic War between Nazi Europe and the USSR, this war more resembles the Great War of 1914 to 1918 in the way it is being fought. Like that grinding campaign, this war started with rapid “big arrow” attacks by Russia, and has evolved subsequently into trench warfare and grinding engagements over towns like Mariupol, Bakhmut, Avdeevka, and now the strategic point of ChasovYar.
So it is today, with satellite and drone observation, combined with modern communications, making it impossible to achieve surprise. The Russian military have realized this far faster than their opponents, and quickly determined that, especially given their great superiority in firepower, a war of attrition proved an effective way to break the Ukrainian defense without suffering huge casualties on the Russian side.
Russian generals identified key strategic points in the Ukrainian lines which their opponents could not afford to lose, and proceeded to draw the Ukrainians into committing to defending them, trapping them in well-organized meat grinders, causing horrendous losses and the inevitable loss of each of the much-vaunted fortress cities, degrading not only the manpower but also the morale of Ukrainian troops, as the Russians took each in turn.
The Russian air force, especially the SU-34, are now bombing at will along the entire front line, as the Ukrainian air defences have been rendered ineffective. The liberation of territories by Russia from the neo-fascist regime is currently rapidly accelerating as the Ukrainian defense collapses.
The Ukrainians are staring defeat in the face.
Enter Macron and Cameron, two of the most odious cheerleaders of the Ukrainian Neo-Nazis in Europe. Macron has been threatening to deploy troops to Ukraine for some time, with his first utterances on the subject in February 2024. His apparent line of reasoning was that if Odessa was threatened, the appearance of French military units on the front lines would make Russia “think twice” about further advances.
Needless to say, the Russian response to this idea was rather blunt, later confirming that they have evidence that NATO troops have been present in Ukraine for some time, operating advanced weapons systems such as air defense, HIMARS, and Storm Shadow missiles to name but a few. Russia has also repeatedly warned that any foreign troops deployed to Ukraine will be considered legitimate targets, the same has been said for NATO bases that are expected to be used by the F-16s that are to be supplied to Ukraine. France’s NATO allies also have not appeared keen to support the French idea of intervention, with the backlash quite quick.
It seems that the French have already deployed some 100 men from the 3rd Regiment of the French Foreign Legion to support the Ukrainian 57th Brigade, supposedly a forerunner of an overall deployment of 1,500 men. What the French hope to achieve by these statements is unclear, as are their ideas for deployment.
The total number of troops that the French could deploy is severely limited by the French military’s poor ability to project power, as their previous problems in African deployments has shown. In those operations, it was found to be impossible to deploy or supply French troops without logistical support from the UK and US. This was for a reasonably small deployment. The deployment of any sizeable force to Ukraine would be an order of magnitude more difficult for the French.
Perhaps the French should dust off their history books about the previous disastrous French intervention in the Russian revolution and civil war from December 1918 to April 1919, which was a complete failure. Unfortunately, nobody seems to like learning from history any more.
Enter David Cameron, the former Prime Minister of the UK, and now Foreign Minister, who made the claim that Ukraine has the green light from Britain to use weapons to strike targets deep inside Russia.
“Ukraine has that right,” Cameron told Reuters. “Just as Russia is striking inside Ukraine, you can quite understand why Ukraine feels the need to make sure it’s defending itself.”
Needless to say, such a statement led to a furor, with a rapid response from Russian spoke people.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described Cameron’s comments as dangerous.
“This is a direct escalation of tension around the Ukrainian conflict, which could potentially pose a danger to European security, to the entire European security architecture,” he said.
“This is where we see such a dangerous trend of escalating tension in official statements. This is a cause for our concern.”
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova added:
“This is the first time that a Western politician has so frankly acknowledged what has long been a well-known secret for a majority of the world’s countries: That the West is waging a covert war against Russia with the hands of Ukrainians.”
Interestingly, the original article by Reuters was pulled from the internet, but the damage was already done.
In another strong response to the borderline insane behavior of Macron, Cameron, and US representatives, some of whom stated that US troops would have to be deployed if Ukraine could not hold their front line, Russian nuclear exercises have begun, with a strong Russian warning by former PM Dmitry Medvedev, now head of the Russian Security Council, that:
“Sending your troops to the territory of Ukraine will entail the direct entry of their countries into the war, to which we will have to respond. And, alas, not in the territory of Ukraine. In this case, none of them will be able to hide either on Capitol Hill, or in the Élysée Palace, or in 10 Downing Street. A world catastrophe will come.”
Meanwhile, Russia has accused the NATO alliance of using its four-month exercise, Steadfast Defender, to prepare for an offensive war against Russia. NATO officials claim that the exercise is defensive, but given the theme of the maneuvers was a rapid US reinforcement of border countries and a “counter-attack” this seems unlikely. Maria Zakharova put it this way:
“Right now, NATO’s largest exercise since the Cold War, Steadfast Defender, is taking place near Russia’s borders. According to their scenario, coalition’s actions against Russia are being practiced using all the instruments, including hybrid and conventional weapons,” she said in a statement. “We have to admit that NATO is seriously preparing for a ‘potential conflict’ with us.”
Meanwhile, clown number one, along with the certifiable nut case Ursula von der Leyen, are likely to put pressure on President Xi of the People’s Republic of China by haranguing him about the need to put pressure on Russia to “finish the war”, something that the Chinese President has reacted badly to in the past.
Given the duplicitous behavior of Europe and the US regarding the Minsk agreements, as well as the peace negotiations in Turkey in 2022, combined with Russia’s ongoing success on the battlefield, there is little to no reason for Russia to negotiate at this point, and every reason not to.
The clowns are getting desperate, as their plans to cripple Russia have had the opposite effect. Will common sense prevail, or will they risk a nuclear war to try and save face? It would be a bad comedy if it were not so serious.

On May 20, Zelensky’s term of office expired. The presidential elections should have been held on March 31, but the current regime canceled them due to martial law. The Ukrainian parliament extends it every three months. However, the constitution of Ukraine states that it is impossible to hold only parliamentary elections during martial law, without mentioning the prohibition of the presidential ones.
The MSM and the Ukrainian media launched an information campaign justifying the preservation of power in the hands of Zelensky. One of the main broadcasting narratives pushes to convince the public that Zelensky’s support is so high that he simply has no competition.
Indeed, opposition parties are banned in the country, and all independent media and TV channels were closed long ago. On May 18, the new law strengthening military mobilization came into force. People are afraid to go out on the streets. Half of the population has no right to leave the country, those who try to illegally cross the border are shot, and the military kidnaps people en masse on the streets.
The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service has published data which reveals that Zelensky’s popularity among military personnel does not exceed 20 percent and continues to decline. As for the local civilian population, more than 70% of Ukrainians no longer believe local media reports, and about 90% are ready to leave the country.
Rapidly losing the support of the population, Zelensky staged a purge in the country. Afraid of his vulnerability, he gets rid of the unreliable entourage, changing the command in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Services and other structures. The fear-stricken Ukrainian president even launched a media campaign regarding an alleged preparation of an assassination attempt on him by the State Security Department.
The continued defeats on the frontlines do not add to Zelensky’s public support either.
The assault units of the Russian northern group continue to advance in the Kharkiv region in two directions. In Volchansk, the Ukrainian command throws into battle the professional fighters of the special forces and ardent militants from nazi battalions; but this does not help to stop the Russian advance. Russian forces are securing their positions in the center of the city and are already crossing the river, attacking the last Ukrainian strongholds in the southern part of Volchansk.
The Russian military gained new victories in Chasov Yar and advanced on the streets of its eastern Kanal district. In the Donetsk direction, Ukrainian military sources acknowledge the loss of the strategically important town of Netailovo, where the Russians are completing mop up operations.
Despite all the defeats on the battlefields and in the rear, Kiev tries to convince the population that support for Zelensky is so overwhelming that there is no point in holding elections.
