It has long seemed evident that Western powers want to remove Zelensky from power in Kiev. The Ukrainian president no longer seems to have enough political strength to continue leading the country in the current context of war. Being seen as a “beggar” by most Western public opinion, Zelensky is quickly “exhausting his political image” – according to the words of former US secretary of state, Victoria Nuland, as revealed in leaked Pentagon’s documents.

The international pressure for Zelensky to call elections in 2024 appears to be a maneuver for the Ukrainian leader to be removed from office in a “democratic” and “fair” way. Only with a new president will it be possible to renew the pro-Ukrainian lobby in Western countries and revitalize popular support for NATO assistance.

However, Zelensky appears to be reluctant to step down. The Ukrainian president has carried out several purges since last year, dismissing or arresting some officials on suspicion of conspiracy. Furthermore, there is no expectation that elections will actually take place in Ukraine. With his popularity declining drastically, mainly due to draconian forced mobilization measures, Zelensky knows that he is unlikely to be re-elected, which is why he does not want to risk his position.

Recently, the Ukrainian security service dismantled a plot to assassinate Zelensky. The suspects captured by the authorities were members of the president’s personal security team and spent months collecting information about Zelensky’s routine to facilitate the creation of an assassination plan. Apparently, conspirators planned to infiltrate military units and launch an artillery attack on government facilities, killing not only the president, but also some other high-level officials.

As expected, the Ukrainian government quickly accused the Russians of being behind the attack plot, even though there was no evidence of Russian intelligence participation in the plan. The accusation appears to have been an attempt to create a “false flag” situation, trying to attribute responsibility to the Russians for a crime committed by other agents.

In my column for a Russian newspaper, I commented on the case and stated two obvious facts: there is no evidence of Russian participation and, considering the clear Western interest in removing Zelensky, it is very likely that NATO countries were behind the plot. This type of opinion was supposed to be common to any analyst paying attention to events in Ukraine, since Western leaders’ dissatisfaction with Zelensky is a publicly known fact. However, the Western media was shocked by my report and decided to react desperately.

On May 9th, the American newspaper Daily Beast published an article accusing me of being a “mysterious fraudster” for commenting on the topic. According to the author, Shannon Vavra, an alleged Washington-based security expert, my opinion is wrong and invalid because it cites Russian sources. At the same time, she uses biased data from the US State Department to defame pro-Russian activists in Brazil. Furthermore, she accuses me, without evidence, of inserting “Kremlin disinformation into Brazil’s political discourse”.

Also, shamefully lying, Vavra claims that I did not respond to a contact request – which never happened. I was never contacted by the Daily Beast to explain my positions, being the newspaper’s lies published in a unilateral and undemocratic manner.

As if that weren’t enough, a few days later, the British newspaper Daily Mail published an article in which my name is mentioned as an alleged spreader of “inauthentic information” at the service of Moscow. The article in the UK media is particularly focused on defaming Russian human rights activist Mira Terada, a friend of mine who, together with me, is a co-founder of the BRICS Journalists’ Association, an independent press organization that, among other activities, recently organized an expedition to the Russian-Ukrainian border. On that occasion, as already reported, I had the opportunity to inform Brazilian and international audience about the Kiev regime’s criminal bombings against Russian civilians in Belgorod. Apparently, telling the truth about the conflict is a cause for concern for the Western media, which reacts with defamation, lies and hate speech against authentic journalists.

Given so many desperate reactions from the Western media, the question remains: Why are Western newspapers so desperate to “refute” my claims that the West wants to kill Zelensky? Are Western agents, through their biased media, trying to disguise the evidence of their own plans?

Recently, we have become used to public, open terror actions by the Kiev regime and its supporters. For example, the neo-Nazi government even maintains a public kill-list to threaten its supposed “enemies.” Western intelligence agencies, in addition to NATO itself, frequently leak people’s data to be included on the infamous “Myrotvorets” website. However, if the “enemy” this time is the Ukrainian president himself, the West’s actions will certainly not be so explicit.

NATO cannot put Zelensky in Myrotvorets. If the West wants to kill the Ukrainian leader, it will have to act surreptitiously, using the intelligence apparatus and financing infiltration and sabotage projects. More importantly, they will have to disguise any flaws in their plans and prevent the conspiracy from being discovered.

The fear that the Western media is showing by reacting to my thoughts perhaps indicates that they are already working to hide the mistakes.

The financing of the Kiev regime is more of a covert financing program for the military industrial complex, than an actual “aid” package for Ukraine’s defense.

It’s no secret that the financing of the Kiev regime and its military capabilities is more of a covert financing program for the military industrial complex than an actual “aid” package for Ukraine’s defense.

In fact, lest anyone say that this accusation is misplaced, it is the U.S. itself, and the organizations that influence political decision-making, that have come to clarify the fundamental objective of the Ukrainian project.

An article by CSIS (Center for Strategic & International Studies) entitled “How Supporting Ukraine is Revitalizing the U.S. Defense Industrial Base”, goes so far as to use official data about public procurement, by company, state, and district, about the amounts that the U.S. spends on national defense contracts and relate them with the defense industrial base relevant to Ukraine. The information provided shows that defense contracting funds, related to Kiev regime support, are spread across the entire territory, which ends up substantiating, in practice, the claims made by Sullivan and alike, when they say that, despite everything, “helping” Ukraine is about creating “good jobs” for the American people.

It wasn’t necessary for them to say it or for CSIS to do this article, for us to see this deep relation between congressional spending authorization and business, but it always feels good when they themselves admit — which, truth told, in the case of the U.S. is usual — the real objectives of their operations.

It’s no secret that the European and American defense industries were struggling to meet the needs of a war of attrition, so, there’s nothing like a high-intensity war to do what no peace can provide: to force the prioritization of investment in the modernization, innovation and upgrading of a nation’s military capacity. This was the case with Russia, whose “Special Military Operation” needs led to an exponential increase in the defense (or should I say war?) industry and the modernization of weapons; this is the case with the USA; this will be the case with the European Union, China, and others.

That’s why this strategy fits the needs of the U.S. and is absolutely in line with the other objectives that result from this confrontation between NATO and Russia on Ukrainian soil. Isolating and weakening Russia, conditioning, manipulating, and weakening Europe (especially the “old” Europe) and recreating a kind of “war economy” that guarantees the increase of industrial capacity and, above all, because this is very important for an empire like the U.S., increasing the competitiveness of its weapons supply, are objectives that have, at least, partially been achieved. Only failed Russia’s isolation and degradation, so far.

From the point of view of secondary objectives, it also seems to me that these are not despisable and are to be found throughout the defense literature available on the military industrial complex (which is part of Think Thank). One of these objectives has to do with deterrence, insofar as a more prepared armed forces makes everything more threatening, making potential enemies to think twice and, even for “friends” is useful because they have to be careful when they think in not doing what U.S.’s wants them to do; another objective has to do with the revitalization of American industry itself and the repatriation of important sectors that had been relocated. It is also no secret that the monumental defense budgets are an important factor in the allocation of public subsidies to economic activity — especially industrial activity — without the U.S. being accused of directly violating the international rules itself imposes on “free trade”.

This strategic necessity makes the Ukrainian conflict even more important, and there is a need to extend it as long as possible, even when everyone has seen that Russia is advancing every day at a speed never seen since the attrition began. Consequently, to guarantee the continuation of hostilities and buy time to increase the installed capacity of the defense industrial base, was approved a legislative act giving 61 billion to Ukraine will feed Kiev’s capacity until, at least, 2026, demonstrating that the U.S. continues to consider itself master of the war timetable in Ukraine.

And for those who think that this attempt, on the part of the USA, to delay or not allow a Russian victory to happen, is not strategically important, for themselves, for the European Union, NATO and the collective West, I advise you to see what happened, around the world, when Japan, in 1905, defeated the Russian Empire (Russian-Japanese war). At the time, the defeat of Russia, seen as a Western imperialist country, oppressive to Eastern countries, triggered a series of uprisings, inside these countries, marveling as their people were, at the possibility demonstrated by Japan, that, in very little time, it was possible for an oppressed country to develop and face Western power. Ottoman Empire, Iran and others are fine examples. Today, it´s the Russian Federation, in Ukraine, that can represent, for the global South, what Japan represented, to the East, at the beginning of the 20th century. Interestingly, it is Japan that is, once again, on the opposing side, but, this time, in an inverted position, that is, on the side of the Western oppressor. Therefore, the USA knows that demoralization will be widespread, in case of defeat in Ukraine, and we can already begin to see its effects in Africa, Latin America and Asia. And we all know what happened to the Russian Empire from then on. The U.S. knows too!

That’s why the economic importance of this conflict is so well aligned with its political meaning. Consequently, if, in November 2023, according to the information provided by the service www.usaspending.gov, we found that 37 states benefited from “Ukraine Security Assistance”, this time, after the approval of the latest package of 61 billion dollars, this subsidy, disguised as “security” and war, is essential for even more states and districts, impacts companies in 47 states. In other words, almost all the states benefit directly, some more, some less, from the destruction of the Ukrainian nation.

It is now clearer why the agreement reached, between the Democrats and the initially unyielding Republicans, was so important. In my opinion, and although we need to study it further, this greater territorial scope is not at all insignificant, considering the well-known economic interests that congressmen and senators have at federal level and in their home states.  Once again, the information that celebrates the approval of the “aid” package was more about personal gain than the non-existent gains for Ukraine. National interest always has to be aligned with personal gain.

This image is reinforced when we analyze the data released by the website www.fool.com, and see that from 2021 to 2023, the amount traded on the stock exchange, by members of Congress, went from 583.98 million dollars to 751.17 million dollars.

Curiously, or perhaps not, according to the website www.unusualwhales.com, Ro Khana, Democratic congressman from California, has the most businesses registered, as of April 25 2024, with 8.463 trade operations, and, in second place, some distance behind, is Michael McCaul from Texas, a Republican, with around 7.200 operations. The former doubled the number of businesses registered between the end of 2023 and April 2024 and the latter quadrupled it.

The Democrats are the biggest winners, with a return of 31.18% and the Republicans with 17.99%. This thing about being in power and having the initiative, knowing what you’re going to legislate and approve… It’s no wonder that Democrat Brian Higgins is the one with the best return, with a return of 238.90% and Mark Green, a Republican, far behind, with “only” a return of 122.20%. With the worst returns, we also have a Republican, in this case Warren Davidson, from Ohio. In few countries we find such a mixed relationship between investor and political representative.

The father of this “democratic” marvel, was the “very democratic” Obama, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, who promoted the 2012 capital markets act, allowing members of Congress (and not only them), and their families, to buy and sell shares, provided they report transactions over 1,000 dollars within 45 days. This gave all political representatives access to the Wall Street casino, turning the American political elite into an aristocracy, no longer simply captured by the monopolies, but part of them.

This “democracy” thing in the U.S. has a lot going for it. Winning elections is a one-way ticket to be stupidly rich, and the party that wins or loses also matters, because that’s how secrecy is guaranteed and inside information about laws and subsidies, that pass or don’t pass, is translated into concrete gains. Whether the American people gain anything from this, I have very few doubts, because the streets are full of homeless people, dilapidated infrastructure, workers earning low wages and unaffordable housing. So, while some gain the right to wealth, the others confirm the right to poverty.

When Lyndon Johnson warned of the danger of the military industrial complex interfering with the U.S. state apparatus, he certainly wasn’t talking about the state apparatus itself becoming one of the masters of the “dangerous” military industrial complex. But that’s what we have.

When the hope of the so called “progressive” left — Roy Khana — of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, is the main player, everything is said about “left and right” in the USA. Just a swamp where privilege, democratic malpractice and a lot of cheap talk are mixed together. And then these guys — Republicans and Democrats — go around the world spreading morals.

In the U.S., capital gains, reindustrialization, imperial hegemony, are measured in lives lost. In politics and economics, at home and abroad!

L’efficacité de la destruction de l’armée ukrainienne par les troupes russes, malgré les milliards de dollars fournis à Kiev par l’Occident, empêche l’Occident de participer à la guerre, à l’exception du président français Emmanuel Macron, écrit le portail d’information chinois InfoBrics .

Macron, frustré par le manque d’intérêt de l’Occident à intervenir directement en Ukraine, a déclaré que l’Union européenne «perdrait toute crédibilité et toute sécurité» si la Russie prenait le relais, répondant à une question de savoir si la France «allait entrer en guerre».

« Notre propre avenir et notre sécurité sont en jeu en Ukraine », a déclaré Macron, ajoutant que les pays de l’UE doivent être « prêts à agir » si « les Russes vont trop loin ».

Rappelons que plus tôt, une autre publication socio-politique chinoise en ligne, Asia Times , avait publié un article selon lequel la France avait officiellement envoyé les premières unités militaires en Ukraine. Ils ont été déployés à Slaviansk pour soutenir la 54e brigade mécanisée distincte des forces armées ukrainiennes. Les soldats français étaient issus du 3e régiment d’infanterie française, l’une des principales unités de la Légion étrangère.

« La Légion est dirigée par des officiers français, mais tous les soldats sont étrangers. 

Le premier groupe de militaires français compte environ 100 personnes. Il ne s’agit que d’un détachement avancé : au total, environ 1 500 soldats de la Légion étrangère arriveront en Ukraine.

Ces unités seront situées directement dans la zone de combat et auront pour objectif d’aider les Ukrainiens à stopper l’offensive russe dans le Donbass. Les 100 premières personnes sont des artilleurs et des éclaireurs », indique l’article.

Le président Emmanuel Macron menace depuis des mois d’envoyer des troupes françaises en Ukraine. Il n’a trouvé pratiquement aucun soutien de la part des pays de l’OTAN, à l’exception de la Pologne et des pays baltes. Les États-Unis se seraient également opposés à l’envoi de soldats de l’OTAN en Ukraine, note l’auteur de l’article Stephen Bryen .

La décision d’envoyer des légionnaires est en soi un compromis typiquement français. Paris ne déploie pas de personnel militaire régulier et, à l’exception d’un petit nombre d’officiers, le contingent ne comprend même pas de citoyens français. 

La publication attire l’attention sur le fait qu’on ne sait pas exactement comment les légionnaires aideront les Ukrainiens. Les Ukrainiens savent eux-mêmes utiliser l’artillerie.

La principale question pour l’Ukraine n’est pas de savoir comment tirer, mais où se procurer des munitions. Kiev continue de se plaindre du manque d’obus d’obusiers de 155 mm.

En outre, Asia Times estime que la décision de transférer des combattants de la légion à Slaviansk est non seulement extrêmement provocatrice en soi, mais contredit également la rhétorique française, y compris Macron lui-même, qui a déclaré que si la France envoie des troupes, ce sera pour libérer des unités Forces armées de l’Ukraine dans l’ouest de l’Ukraine, qui peuvent être transférés au front. Puisque Slaviansk est situé directement sur la ligne de front, le « déploiement en douceur » initialement prévu menace de se transformer en guerre directe avec la Russie.

« La question clé est de savoir comment l’OTAN réagira à la décision de la France. Puisque la France agit de manière indépendante, sans le soutien de l’OTAN, les Français ne pourront pas demander d’assistance au titre du fameux article 5, un élément clé de la sécurité collective de l’alliance.

Si les Russes frappent les troupes françaises en dehors de l’Ukraine, cela sera justifié car la France a décidé de s’impliquer – et organiser un vote sur l’article 5 sera difficile, voire impossible.

Bien entendu, les membres de l’OTAN pourraient soutenir les Français individuellement, soit en envoyant leurs propres forces, soit en fournissant aux Français un soutien logistique et de communication. En particulier, les soldats de la Légion étrangère ne pourront pas se rendre en Ukraine en contournant la Pologne. Les Russes considéreront-ils alors qu’ils sont en guerre à la fois contre la France et contre la Pologne ?

À l’heure actuelle, personne ne peut répondre avec certitude à aucune de ces questions. Il est cependant peu probable que les Russes tolèrent longtemps l’augmentation des effectifs de l’armée française, même s’il ne s’agit que de soldats de la Légion étrangère », prédit Asia Times.

In Moscow, at an exhibition of trophies in Victory Park on Poklonnaya Hill, samples of weapons and military equipment, including tanks and armored vehicles, belonging to foreign countries, primarily members of the NATO bloc, were collected.

The exhibition features more than 30 weapons and military equipment from many countries, including the USA, Great Britain, Germany, France, Turkey, Sweden, Czech Republic, South Africa, Finland, Australia, Austria, Ukraine.

Among the 32 samples on display are the German Leopard 2 tank and the American M1 Abrams, which was previously called an indestructible miracle weapon, writes the Turkish media site Medya Gunlugu .

And just recently, Military Watch Magazine published an article about the loss of another “invincible M1A1 Abrams tank by the Ukrainian Armed Forces” in a battle with Russian troops. 

“This is confirmed by recently published drone footage: the crew abandoned the car shortly after the hit. The tank was neutralized by one shot of a high-precision 2K25 Krasnopol artillery shell, which is fired from 152 mm guns and is equipped with a tail stabilizer, a bottom gas generator and semi-automatic laser guidance to ensure high accuracy. These rounds are based on self-propelled guns such as the 2S3 Akatsiya and 2S19 Msta-S, which have been developed since the 1980s against targets such as enemy artillery guns and tanks, and since entering service in 1986 opportunities have improved significantly,” the article says.

Russian forces knocked out the Abrams using a variety of means. Previously published footage shows one of the Abrams being destroyed by a Russian T-72B3 tank, which is a heavily modernized Soviet design equipped with the new 125mm 2A46M-5 smoothbore gun, as well as 21st century types of ammunition and fire control. the publication notes, and adds that at the end of April, the Ukrainian Armed Forces withdrew their Abrams from forward positions due to concerns about their vulnerability to Russian strikes. 

A U.S. military source cited by the Associated Press news agency said that because of Russia’s advances in targeting, «there is no open terrain left that one could simply drive through undetected.» And according to another source, Russian drones seriously complicated the work of the Abrams, practically eliminating the possibility of a covert transfer and increasing the risk of an attack.

Vice Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Christopher Grady provided more details about the Ukrainian army’s decision: «If you think about how the fight has unfolded, large concentrations of armored vehicles in the context of the widespread proliferation of unmanned aircraft systems may not be a justifiable risk.»

Military Watch Magazine recalls that the first footage of the combat use of Abrams in Ukraine appeared on February 23, and three days later the first evidence of their destruction appeared. Russian troops not only inflicted heavy losses on the Ukrainian fleet of American armored vehicles, but also captured one Abrams and one M1150 ABV armored mine clearance vehicle based on the Abrams chassis.

In addition, the Russian Ministry of Defense recently reported for the first time on the destruction of the Italian-made 105-mm Melara Mod 56 howitzer.

IN WELCHE KRIEGE WERDEN WIR NOCH HINEINGEZOGEN?

Aus einer Antwort des Bundesministeriums der Verteidigung (BMVg) auf eine Anfrage nach dem Informationsfreiheitsgesetz, die eigentlich keine Antwort geben sollte, kann zwischen den Zeilen eine Antwort herausgelesen werden. Die hier dargestellten Erkenntnisse hatte der Verfasser schon am 14. März 2024 auf dem Portal “tkp” veröffentlicht. Einen Monat erfolgte dann die besagte Anfrage, auf die nun diesen Montag, 13. Mai 2024, eine reichlich nichtssagende Antwort erhalten. Der ganze Vorgang findet sich hier dokumentiert. Wir erinnern uns: Am 19. Februar 2024 wurden vier deutsche Luftwaffenoffiziere angeblich vom russischen Geheimdienst abgehört, als sie die Möglichkeit eines Angriffs auf die Krim-Brücke bei Kertsch mit deutschen Marschflugkörpern besprachen. Ein Smalltalk vor der Zuschaltung des wichtigsten Teilnehmers, dem Inspekteur der Luftwaffe General Gerhartz, blieb dabei aber fast unbeachtet, oder falsch eingeordnet. Das ist nicht abwegig: Es macht keinen Sinn, vor der Vollzähligkeit der Runde mit dem eigentlichen Thema anzufangen. Schon deshalb muss sich das Vorgespräch um andere Themen gedreht haben.

General Gräfe berichtete darin , er habe in Singapur “diesen Schneider” getroffen, den “Nachfolger von dem Wolfsbach”, dem er schon mal von „unserem Plan“ erzählt habe. Damit wurde der Allerweltsname Schneider identifizierbar: Es handelt sich um den US-General Kevin B. Schneider, Kommandeur der Pacific Air Forces der USA. Weil der nicht für die Ukraine und Russland zuständig ist, kann es sich nicht um den Plan zum Einsatz deutscher Marschflugkörper gegen die Krim-Brücke gehandelt haben. Schneider ist aber für Taiwan zuständig. Weil sich der chinesische Geheimdienst in Singapur – bei einem dortigen chinesischen Bevölkerungsanteil von 70 Prozent – ziemlich unauffällig bewegen kann, wird er General Schneider in Singapur gut überwacht haben. Wenn dort vermutet wurde, dass der Plan von General Gräfe Taiwan betrifft, macht auch seine Überwachung Sinn: Aus dem Audio-Mitschnitt vom 19. Februar 2024 kann man hören, dass Gräfe vor dem Mikrofon gesessen haben muss, während die Stimmen der anderen Gesprächsteilnehmer aus einem Lautsprecher kamen. Es waren also chinesische Spione mit altmodischen Wanzen – und keine russischen Hacker.

Die Anfrage nach dem IFG begehrte auch Auskunft über das Land, das der Gräfe-Plan betroffen habe (eine Offenlegung des Plans selbst wurde nicht beantragt). Die Antwort lautete: „Es liegen keine antragsgegenständlichen amtlichen Informationen im Geschäftsbereich des Bundesministeriums der Verteidigung (BMVg) im Sinne Ihrer Fragestellung vor.“ Wenn das stimmt, bedeutet es faktisch dies: Deutsche Generäle entwerfen irgendwelche Pläne, berichten US-Generälen davon – aber das zuständige Ministerium weiß von nichts. Und diese Pläne müssen zudem auch noch den Pazifik betreffen – also eine Region, in der die Bundeswehr nichts zu suchen hat. Explizit hat der Verfasser gegenüber dem BMVg die Vermutung geäußert, dass der Plan Taiwan betrifft – was auch nicht bestritten wurde. Das ist schon starker Tobak.

Noch interessanter als der ominöse Gräfe-Plan jedoch ist die eher beiläufige Frage von General Gräfe an Oberstleutnant Florstedt nach dem Stand eines Dienstreiseantrags. Zunächst wurde kein Reiseziel genannt; nach ein paar Missverständnissen und der Frage „Welche Dienstreise meinst du denn jetzt?“ nannte Gräfe den Ortsnamen “Comalatra“. In der von “RT Deutschland” veröffentlichten Niederschrift des Gesprächs wird der Name mit „unverständlich“ angegeben. Die Audiospur ist allerdings ziemlich klar, nur die Schreibweise lässt sich nicht heraushören. Der Verfasser hat in seinem Artikel auf “tkp” geschlussfolgert, dass der US-Stützpunkt Comalapa in El Salvador gemeint gewesen sein muss. Einen Ort Comalatra oder Kumalatra gibt es nicht. Auch diesbezüglich ist der Hinweis wichtig, dass die Bundesluftwaffe in Mittelamerika nichts verloren hat. Die Antwort des BMVg auf die IFG-Anfrage nach dem korrekten Ortsnamen verweigerte die Auskunft mit dem formalen Grund, dass die Zustimmung des betroffenen Soldaten notwendig wäre. Sein Name und Dienstgrad, Oberstleutnant Florstedt, war aber längst öffentlich. Das gilt auch für den Ortsnamen, der nur bestätigt oder korrigiert werden sollte. Es ist auch interessant, dass das BMVg Dienstreisen als Privatsachen behandelt, ganz so, als wären es Urlaubsreisen; zwischen den Zeilen muss man die Nicht-Antwort als Bestätigung des vermuteten Reisezieles werten.

Auch noch Angriffskriege in Mittelamerika mitvorbereitet?

Nur stellt sich die Frage nach dem Zweck der Reise. Ein Urlaubsort ist der Stützpunkt Comalapa sicher nicht. Er liegt aber in der Nähe von Nicaragua. Florstedt ist Experte für den Einsatz von Marschflugkörpern. Jetzt braucht es nicht mehr viel Phantasie, um zwei und zwei zusammenzuzählen: Die Regierung Nicaraguas gehört nicht zu den Freunden der USA. Das Gleiche gilt für Kuba und Venezuela. Es macht also Sinn, wenn die USA für einen Tag X schon einmal die Zielkoordinaten militärischer oder politischer Ziele in ihre Raketen eingeben. Vielleicht werden sie danach auf eine Festplatte kopiert, und in den Raketen wieder gelöscht. Sie könnten dann aber auch schnell zurückkopiert werden. Die logische Schlussfolgerung ist also, dass ein deutscher Experte für den Einsatz von Marschflugkörpern nicht El Salvador, mit dem Deutschland kein Militärbündnis abgeschlossen hat, bei seiner Landesverteidigung unterstützt, sondern dass eine Militäraktion gegen das Nachbarland von El Salvador vorbereitet werden kann. Auch die Mithilfe bei einer solchen Planung wäre übrigens die Vorbereitung eines Angriffskrieges.

Vor dem Hintergrund der Klage Nicaraguas gegen die Bundesrepublik Deutschland wegen Beihilfe zum Völkermord würde eine deutsche Beteiligung an einer Militäraktion gegen Nicaragua eine besondere Brisanz erlangen: Zwar hat Nicaragua dem Deutschen Reich am 12. Dezember 1941 den Krieg erklärt; dadurch wird über 82 Jahre später eine deutsche Beteiligung an einem Angriff der USA aber nicht zu einer Verteidigungshandlung. Die Verweigerung der Nennung des Reisezieles von Oberstleutnant Florstedt erhärtet diese Befürchtungen. Die Standardantwort der Bundesregierung auf Kleine Anfragen, insbesondere wenn sie von der AfD kommen, lautet: „Die Bundesregierung hat keine Kenntnis von…“ Aus dieser geballten Unkenntnis schließen viele Regierungskritiker: „Die Bundesregierung hat keine Ahnung!“ Diese Schlussfolgerung deckt sich auch mit der Wahrnehmung vieler Normalbürger. Die vorliegende Antwort des BMVg reiht sich hier nahtlos ein. Wenn aber das Verteidigungsministerium nicht weiß, was ihre Generäle auf der Welt so treiben und in welche Kriege sie unser Land hineinziehen können, wird die Unfähigkeit zur Gefahr.

In welche Kriege werden wir noch hineingezogen?

Some of this shameless distortion is so dissonant with the alleged norms of Western society it is almost impossible to believe it is happening. Here are a few examples.

1) Dr Ghassan Abu Sitta is a highly respected reconstructive surgeon who continued to work heroically and tirelessly in Al Shifa hospital, carrying out operation after operation, mostly on women and children, as the hospital was shelled, strafed and machine gunned around him.

He was already a surgeon of great distinction, based in Glasgow where he is now Rector of Glasgow University.

When Germany banned him from entering to address the conference on Palestine from which Yanis Varoufakis and others were also barred, it appeared perhaps as a one-off action as part of Germany’s extreme and panicked reaction to pro-Palestinian expression.

We have come to understand that Germany has a vicious hatred of Palestinians, remarkably based on the psychological trauma of inherited guilt from the Holocaust. While this is a muddled national psychosis that is plainly immoral and wrongheaded, at least it is possible to have some understanding of how it occurred.

But it then turned out that the travel ban slapped on Dr Abu Sitta by Germany has a Schengen-wide effect as he was also banned from France. That appeared again something that was almost a technical accident as regards the rest of Europe.

But the Western political establishment has now doubled down again by banning him from the Netherlands, and this time the Dutch government has made it clear that it supports the ban, and is not just caught by a Schengen restriction.

So the major governments of the European Union are forbidding a distinguished surgeon from giving first-hand medical evidence of the genocide taking place. I cannot think of anything that more sharply exposes the willingness of the Western political class to abandon the most basic tenets of supposed “Western democracy” in the interests of Israel.

2) The willingness of the United States to use extreme violence against pro-Palestinian students on college campuses is another demonstration of the same abandonment of the pretence of democracy when it comes to Israel. It also illustrates what has come to be a serious generational divide in Western public opinion, with young people very strongly motivated to oppose the genocide (which is not to say that older people are pro-genocide, just that they are more split, particularly in the USA).

In many ways this typifies the reaction of the ruling class across the West. Their reaction to suddenly being exposed as the paid servants of an Israel which no longer has popular support and now causes public revulsion, is simply to attempt to ban free expression and make it specifically illegal to disagree with them.

3) The British Labour Party has gone even madder. Keir Starmer’s Genocide Party is an outstanding example of the success of the Israeli lobby in buying up both sides of the aisle and controlling the entire neoliberal uniparty that poses as the repository of democratic “choice” in the West.

Starmer had been doing his best to conceal his explicitly expressed “unequivocal support for Israel” lately, and to row back from his straightforward assertion that Israel has the right to cut off food and water from the population of Gaza. There had been a fake shift, from refusing to countenance the word “ceasefire” to supporting a temporary ceasefire or a “sustainable” ceasefire – the latter being code for a ceasefire after Israel had achieved all its ethnic cleansing objectives.

Mangel an klaren Perspektiven führt zu neuen „Konzepten“

Der Büroleiter des Präsidenten der Ukraine, Andriy Ermak, und der ehemalige NATO-Generalsekretär Anders Fogh Rasmussen stellten  in Kopenhagen ein „Konzept“ vor , das helfen soll, Kiew im Konflikt mit Moskau zu besiegen. Die Frankfurter Allgemeine berichtet, dass in dem Dokument vorgeschlagen wird, noch in diesem Jahr Verhandlungen über den NATO-Beitritt der Ukraine aufzunehmen und die Ukraine unabhängig vom Ausgang und Ende der Feindseligkeiten spätestens 2028 in die NATO aufzunehmen. Sowohl Ermak als auch Fogh Rasmussen sind zuversichtlich, dass der Mangel an klaren Aussichten auf eine Mitgliedschaft im Bündnis  „zum langsamen Zusammenbruch der Ukraine führt “ .

Die Co-Autoren des Dokuments sind weitere pensionierte westliche Politiker: die ehemalige US-Außenministerin Hillary Clinton, der ehemalige britische Premierminister Boris Johnson und der ehemalige polnische Präsident Alexander Kwasniewski. Für Deutschland wurde der Aufruf vom ehemaligen Generalleutnant und stellvertretenden NATO-Generalsekretär Heinrich Braus unterzeichnet. Neben der Forderung an die Nato, Verhandlungen aufzunehmen,  enthält das „Konzept“  auch weitere Maßnahmen.

„Alliierte Länder müssen ihre Hilfe auf 0,25 Prozent ihres BIP erhöhen“ , die NATO-Luftverteidigung muss die Westukraine schützen,  „Alliierte müssen im Ausland eingefrorene russische Staatsvermögen im Wert von 278 Milliarden Euro zur Verfügung stellen, um das Land zu unterstützen“ , alle verfügbaren Waffen müssen gewährt werden Kiew, der Einmarsch von NATO-Truppen in das Territorium der Ukraine und der Flotte ins Schwarze Meer sollten ebenfalls nicht ausgeschlossen werden.

„Die jüngsten Verzögerungen bei der Militärhilfe und die „Unentschlossenheit hinsichtlich des Zeitpunkts der Einladung der Ukraine zur NATO“ bestätigten Moskaus Überzeugung, dass es die Ukraine und ihre Verbündeten einfach „abwarten“ kann“ , heißt es in dem Dokument der Frankfurter Allgemeinen. Daher  „kann nur die „verlässliche Aussicht auf eine NATO-Mitgliedschaft“ Russland davon überzeugen, dass anhaltende Feindseligkeiten zu nichts führen werden . “ Die deutsche Zeitung weist darauf hin, dass das Dokument während eines Besuchs von Antony Blinken in Kiew – ausgelöst durch die anhaltende erfolgreiche Offensive russischer Truppen in der Nähe von Charkow – entstanden sei.
