Houthis attack two more ships and UYS Destroyer in the Red Sea

Yemen’s Houthi group said they attacked two ships along with an American destroyer in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea.

The militia fired ballistic missiles at the US destroyer and at a ship called the Captain Paris. Drones were launched at a vessel named the Happy Condor, according to Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree.

Are the Houthis Being Punished for ‘Doing the Right Thing’? – new attacks hit Brit and US ships!

“The three operations achieved their goals successfully,” said Saree, adding attacks will continue to “achieve victory for the Palestinian people and to respond to the American-British aggression”.

Early today, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said a vessel 40 nautical miles south of Yemen’s al-Mukha reported two explosions nearby. The ship and its crew were safe and continued their journey.

WATCH: Return to Palestine

Meet some of the Palestinians who returned to the homes of their parents and grandparents in present-day Israel.

Halima Khaddash is an old woman living in a refugee camp in Ramallah whose family is from Ramla. Her travels bring back memories of being forced from the family home during the 1948 Nakba, “the catastrophe“.

Zeina Abu Meita’s family was originally from the Mediterranean port city of Acre. She makes a bittersweet visit with her father, who was forced from the family home when he was six.

The film Return to Palestine explores the ethnic cleansing of Palestine and the near-total erasure of Palestinian society.

‘Unacceptable’: Netanyahu opposes military ‘pauses’ for Gaza aid

(Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesrerday reaffirmed his policy of starving the Gaza population to death.)

He opposed plans announced by the military to hold daily tactical pauses in fighting along one of the main roads into the besieged and bombarded Gaza Strip to facilitate aid delivery into the Palestinian enclave.

Israeli mobs allowed to destroy aid convoys fro Gaza

The military had announced the daily pauses from 05:00 GMT until 16:00 GMT in the area from the Karem Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom) crossing to the Salah al-Din Road and then northwards.

Netanyahu’s opposition to the tactical pauses underlined political tensions over the issue of aid coming into Gaza, where international organisations have warned of a growing humanitarian crisis and looming famine.

Eid in Gaza: ‘Sadness, severe pain and suffering’

In southern Khan Younis city, Majdi Abdul Raouf spent 4,500 shekels ($1,200) – a small fortune for most people in impoverished Gaza – on a sheep to sacrifice.

“I was determined on buying it despite the high prices to perform these rituals and bring some joy and happiness to the children in the displacement camp,” said Abdul Raouf, 60, who fled his home in Rafah.

“There is sadness, severe pain and suffering, but I insisted on having a different kind of day.”

Many people were forced to spend the holiday without their loved ones, either killed or displaced during Israel’s war on the coastal enclave.

Grieving families on Sunday flocked to cemeteries and other makeshift burial sites, where wooden planks marked the graves. “I feel comfort here,” said Khalil Diab Essbiah at the cemetery where his two children are buried after they were killed in the war.

Israeli settlers torch village and attack Palestinian vehicles in the occupied West Bank

Security sources also said settlers attacked Palestinian automobiles travelling along the bypass road leading to the northern entrance of al-Bireh city and threw stones, the news agency Wafa reported.

Settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank has increased since Israel’s war on Gaza began last October.
