British homunculus in Kosovo and “Greater Albania”

The UN is adding fuel to the fire of separatism by promoting the development of the “institutions” of the bandit state of Kosovo

Last week, two events with radically different meanings took place in Serbia. In Serbia itself, the 25th anniversary of the operation with the participation of Russian paratroopers to capture the Slatina airfield in Pristina, the “March to Pristina,” was celebrated in scattered ways. This event was widely covered in the Russian press.

And in the part not controlled by Belgrade, known as the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo, they were bashfully silent about this. But the entry of NATO troops into the territory was celebrated with pomp (by the way, these same troops were in no way able to prevent a column of Russian armored vehicles from entering the airfield).

Many foreign guests also arrived in Pristina. Among them was the battered former British prime minister and war criminal Tony Blair, who came out in support of the separatists.

Former US President Bill Clinton, in a post in X, highlighted that «25 years ago, the United States led the NATO allies’ air campaign that successfully drove out Serbian forces, ending a decade of repression and a brutal campaign of ethnic cleansing and ending the war in Kosovo. Today I express gratitude for 25 years of peace in Kosovo.”

Let us note the unprincipled manipulation of facts about a decade of repression that never happened. He, of course, kept silent about the support from the US intelligence services for terrorists from the Kosovo Liberation Army.

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, during a speech at the ceremonial meeting of the Assembly of Kosovo on the same day , said that when NATO troops entered Kosovo, they were not only soldiers, but also saviors. “When the peacekeepers set foot on the ground of bloodied, crushed, destroyed Kosovo, tears, screams and flowers turned into hugs with which they greeted NATO soldiers, they created a symphony of emotions of freedom”… on this day “we will remember the stubborn resistance of President Ibrahim Rugova to freedom, independence and democracies, and the strong alliances he has created.”

A positive image of NATO is needed now more than ever to support the old peacekeeping narrative, which is why many Western media have actively seized on the events of 25 years ago. In addition, this is a reason for another demonization of Serbia and the Serbs, which the West does quite meticulously and regularly.

It is significant that the day before Osmani traveled to the United States to speak at the UN and used a Serbian passport for this. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic drew attention to this. Such an act is not as poetic as a pathetic speech in the parliament of a separatist pseudo-state, but shows typical hypocrisy.

As for the mentioned alliances, it is significant that even the UN is adding fuel to the fire of separatism by promoting the development of institutions in Kosovo. Thus, on the website of the development program of this organization, the 25th anniversary of celebrating its presence in Kosovo is noted. Not in Kosovo and Metohija, as this region is officially designated in the Serbian Constitution, namely Kosovo. And on this page there is not a word about what has been done for the Serbs who are now living in a hostile environment, as well as the preservation of the cultural heritage of the region (a number of temples and monasteries there are officially under the protection of UNESCO).

However, the most odious figure in the Albanian political world now is the “head of government” of Kosovo, Albin Kurti. At the ceremony in Pristina, he said that June 12 «evokes many emotions among the people of Kosovo, the main ones being relief, joy and hope.» And three days before that, he made a statement that “we have a problem with Belgrade, which has not distanced itself either from Milosevic in the past or from Putin in the present.” This is how he assessed the meeting between the leadership of Serbia and Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina, at which they adopted a joint statement where they considered Kosovo as an integral part of Serbia.

However, there is a significant difference between the previous leaders of the separatist region and the current one. Kurti is the offspring of the British intelligence services, who have nurtured him since his student years. During the conflict in 1999, Kurti was one of the leaders of the student union at the University of Pristina and maintained a certain distance from participation in the armed conflict. Although he was a political assistant to the famous Albanian separatist ideologist Adem Demachi , who in the West is called a dissident and is even compared to Nelson Mandela.

Kurti served about two and a half years in a Yugoslav prison for separatism, but due to pressure from Western countries he was pardoned by Vojislav Kostunica.

By the way, Kurti’s wife Rita Augestad Knudsen is from Norway and is engaged in research in the field of defense and security (which is reminiscent of the stories of Anglo-Saxon pimping with the wives of former presidents of Georgia and Ukraine Mikheil Saakashvili and Viktor Yushchenko).

It is significant that already in the separated Kosovo, Kurti repeatedly had problems with the authorities, which indicates an inter-factional struggle, behind which there were different forces — the United States and Britain, respectively. After he became prime minister in 2020, his ambitions were extrapolated to neighboring Albania, where a movement was specifically registered for him. For this reason, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama did not even communicate with Albin Kurti during his ceremonial visit to Kosovo.

Although opponents are trying to expose Kurti’s personality as the most authoritarian, corrupt, uneducated and anti-democratic politician, his popularity is quite high.

In the end, Albanians, located not only in Albania, but also in Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro, consider themselves one whole entity, regardless of religion, social status and political views. This ethno-nationalist project is known as “Greater Albania,” and the election of Kurti as “Prime Minister” of Kosovo has previously been noted as a signal for further escalation of the conflict with its neighbors and harsher indoctrination.

Apparently, this is where everything is heading now. And Kurti’s reluctance to somehow resolve the issue with Serbian municipalities and the deliberate creation of new problems for the Serbs of Kosovo and Metohija is evidence of this.
